My wife and I wanted to try a different Indian restaurant and decided on Cinnamon. We decided to go with South Indian flavors, and the starter and entrées were terrific. For the starter, we had the Andhra chili chicken and loved it. The flavor was in between Indian and Canton and the vegetables were al dente.
Our entrées were the Goan Fish curry and Andhra chicken, both of which were worth ordering again. They were served with rice bowls, which the server claimed were basmati but definitely didn't look basmati to us. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the rice with fried onions and had it with the goan fish curry. We had also ordered a garlic Naan, a tawa paratha and a chapati. Yes, yes, too much food but we were experimenting. The breads could have been better, they were thick and, I felt, could have been cooked a little more. That said, this is a personal opinion.
The dessert we ordered was a gulab jamun and I can't recommend it. Was weird. The vanilla ice cream it was served with was good, so I can recommend the ice cream
I felt that the service could have better. It was slow. There were two servers, but the restaurant wasn't packed. We asked our server to find out about the garnish on the starter and he never got back to us. He also promised to find out about the rice and again never got back to us.
If visiting on Sunday for lunch, please note that municipal parking lot has a farmers market from 10am to 2pm.
We will definitely give this restaurant another visit.
