Conveniently located in Ward Village/Kakaʻako, Cino is the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a date night. Two dinners and one bar visit in, and I'm already a regular customer. Must-tries: * Apps: Beef tartare and Spanish octopus - flavorful and fresh * Sides: Twice baked potato - hands down the best thing ever (like clouds of buttery mashed potatoes) and Crispy garlic potatoes - dangerously addicting * Pasta: Herb Pappardelle, crab spaghetti, and carbonara - all delicious and satisfying * Dessert: Panna cotta - my favorite dessert on the menu Cocktails? Unique, tasty, and STRONG (in a good way) Ambiance? 10/10 - classy, aesthetic, and totally TikTok/Instagram-worthy. What really made each visit special and top-tier was the staff. Huge shoutout to bartender Justin, server Romain, and manager Dillion-- all incredibly warm and attentive! I'm already planning to go back for the steak. If you haven't checked this place out yet, make a reservation. You won't regret it!

Small Italian restaurant, but amazing decor. Absolutely beautiful on the inside! Service was ok, we felt forgotten about at times. There was a bigger party that came in half way through the evening (about 10 or 12 people order so), and it seemed like one of the staff members knew them, so they got a lot of the attention and we were almost forgotten about when they showed up. As for the food, the octopus appetizer is amazing. Second to none! Entrees were also good, but again, they memorable dish was that octopus. Cocktails were also very good, but unfortunately it took a while for some of them to come (even before that bigger party showed up), so that part of the overall experience was a bit of a let down. Food was excellent, ambiance and decor were excellent, but service could have been better.

Came in on a Sunday seeking fresh pasta. We started with the beet salad 10/10 Uni Crab Spaghetti 11/10 (ide rly like crab!) Rigatoni Bolognese 10/10 Roasted Duck 9/10 Creamed spinach 8/10 Panna Cotta for desert. 11/10 (getting my own next time lol) Bill: $172 + gratuity (Worth every penny) The portions sizes were larger than we expected. Perhaps if we were drinking we may have skipped the duck.. but excited for my leftovers for lunch today! Mahalo for a delicious meal!

My wife and I eat out a lot and travel on a monthly basis. I am a bit shocked the average rating is a 4.4. Cino was excellent. It blends casual and fine dining very well. Every dish we got was excellent. The pinwheel pasta was by far our favorite. Yes, the portions are small and yes, for the portion size it IS expensive. $77 for an appetizer sized portion of pasta is a lot. DEFINITELY not Italian style portions but 1) We are in Waikiki and 2) That doesnt mean it’s not quality. I recommend you give this place a try. From drinks to apps to desserts it’s all good.

Cino is awesome! The food is delicious, with flavors that dance on your palate. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance with its fun vibe while still being tucked away for a serene experience. The knowledgeable servers are eager to recommend dishes and enhance your dining experience. The potatoes were UNBELIEVABLE. Whether a local or just visiting, Cino is a must-visit spot for a wonderful Italian meal!

From the moment we opened the door, our experience was fantastic!!! Huge shout-out to our server, Dillon. Simply exceptional. We will be back. Highly recommended.

I’ve had the opportunity to dine here twice; each time Dylan was our server. Dylan is incredibly friendly, charismatic and helpful with item selection and information. I can’t remember all of the things that we’ve ordered, as we tend to order a lot, but we’ve been impressed with every item that we’ve tried. My personal favorites being steak (all of them are good) and the special pinwheel truffle pasta 😋 I highly recommend sharing dishes allowing the opportunity to enjoy a variety of flavors. * Pro tip- the pinwheel pasta is very rich in flavor and makes for a nice sharing dish as opposed to a main entrée ☺️

Food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, area located, everything was on point, yet the best part was our server JR did a fantastic job. Thanks to him, my friend and I had a great time and everything really was above and beyond. We followed JR’s recommendations and we all know when someone loves what he does and great at it !! JR explained the menu to us very thoroughly and we ordered the oysters from ❤️Kumamoto 🖤, crispy rice, beef tartar (I originally wanted to get tuna tartar cos it looked really pretty on other reviews, I’ll comeback to try that one next time 😋), black cod butterfish, baked cauliflower, and octopus spanish. It’s hard to pick my favorite cos everything really was great… but I’ll pick the octopus dish because of its texture. It was so tender and melted in my mouth just like a cotton candy. I did notice some dishes were garnished with sesame seeds so if you are allergic to that, it’d be helpful to let your server know in advance. The atmosphere here seemed most suitable for girls night or date night, yet they also host big parties and do takeouts as well. I’d recommend to make a reservation.

Yelp
Walked in they seated us flawlessly with no reservation. Amazing service and staff well done... I felt very good about the whole experience! Amazing food and legendary feel. Clean bathrooms and love the feel and vibe! We had the pork chop and crab pasta it was outstanding! Had a lot of mixed drinks and cocktails. Beer selection should be more... but overall a great experience!

Yelp
In a nutshell, I think this restaurant is a good place for drinks and appetizers but not so much for dinner. We came here for the first time for my birthday dinner. I had wondered about this restaurant since I've eaten across the street multiple times and kept seeing it. It located in Ward area across from Nori bar and Happy lemon. There is parking both at the theater and whole foods but there is also a few public parking stalls in the structure right behind the business. The start was good. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly. The drinks we ordered were good. The appetizers were delicious. The crispy rice was my favorite. We also enjoyed the uni and octopus. But when it came to main dishes it was a different story. We got the uni pasta, branzino, ribeye and duck. All the protein dishes were over seasoned. The duck was so salty we had to send it back. The pasta was dry and bland. The garlic potatoes and cauliflower were good though. Things got better again with dessert. The tiramisu was delicious. All in all I would go back for drinks, apps and dessert but not for a full meal.

Yelp
Parking: ward theaters, or whole foods. Food: Apps: Fritto Misto. Best dish of the evening. 60/40 split of veg/seafood. Lightly battered, squid was tender. Dipping sauce was eh. Main: Steak was cooked to temp and cut open for some reason? Duck was still quacking and bleeding. I could hear Gordon Ramsay screeching, "Its raw!". Guest did not eat that and ended up cooking it to temp at home. Yay potential food poisoning! I found this concerning as this was at opening, and only 3 parties here. Maybe their expo called out seeing how we got raw duck and overly salted, burned veg. Service: Our older waiter was pretty loud, excitable, and literally in your face-I could see the plaque in his gum line, and he sprays it when he says it. He brought out drinks and touched the tops of the straws, where you put your mouth with his bare hands. Thankfully, he calmed down as the evening wore on. Ambiance: The design is kitschy. What got me was the overall musty smell (not sure if it is mold, but I wouldnt be surprised) and the crumbs we had to wipe off the seats and table when we arrived at opening. I guess the staff doesn't clean at closing. The grossest thing was watching the cook by the bar eating food and not wearing gloves, then dipping back in with his bare hand and plating. There is tasting, and then there is eating the profits. Maybe they dont make family meals here. We also had requested outdoor seating, but right before opening we noticed all the tables and chairs on the lanai clumped together like a house from an episode of hoarders. Update: After our experience I realized this is one restaurant of several owned by a group. I have been made aware by someone claiming to be a current employee of Cino, and a former employee of Mad Bene, that employees of MB were paid after the abrupt closure, since they "used to work there and everyone got paid". They advised it was uncalled for, "going after the owners on social media (ie yelp)", for saying I would never support an establishment owned by this restaurant group. I thought what happened to the former employees of MB was horrible, no notice of closure and supposedly no pay. I never found an update. The group has all of Oahu to tempt, and they do not need our weekly business.

Yelp
Heard about Cino as up and coming eatery, it did not disappoint!!! Was celebrating my birthday and we had to be at Fluffy show on time. Vibes and ambiance on point for me, classy and cozy. Crab spaghetti is a must try! I had that for dinner and it was so delicious! Perfect combination of ingredients, tasty and creamy but not rich - just right! Justin was our waiter and he was attentive but not intrusive. All of the staff from hostess to bartender was so nice. Definitely will come back! This is a must try for locals too!

Yelp
We had the pleasure of enjoying a relaxed Friday night dinner at Cino in Ward, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our small party of three was seated at a cozy table in the back of the restaurant, which offered a bit more intimacy and a perfect setting for a chill evening focused more on drinks and bites than a full meal. Ambience & Atmosphere The ambience was spot on - chic yet comfortable, with elevated decor that felt refined without being overly formal. It's the kind of space where you can easily transition from casual drinks to a nice dinner, which is exactly what we were looking for. Food Highlights Since we weren't super hungry, we opted to share a few dishes -- and honestly, every single one impressed. * Crispy Rice with Hamachi & Caviar This was a fantastic starter. You could really taste the freshness of the hamachi, and the ginger added a punch that tied it all together beautifully. The caviar added a nice touch of richness without overwhelming the bite. * Beef Tartare This was hands down our favorite of the small plates. It had a generous amount of capers, giving it that briny brightness, and was served with a crispy chip that added the perfect crunch. Balanced and delicious. * Uni with Ikura and Horseradish Panna Cotta (sent out by the kitchen) This was such a treat -- rich, creamy, and delicately briny from the uni and ikura, with the horseradish panna cotta adding an unexpected (but very welcome) zing. It was one of those bites that makes you pause and appreciate the flavors. Main & Sides The Bone-In Ribeye was the undeniable star of the night. Dry-aged and cooked to perfection, it had a beautiful char on the outside and was juicy and flavorful throughout. Truly a standout. And let's talk about the sides -- they absolutely held their own: * Double Baked Potatoes My personal favorite. These were next-level -- light, fluffy, cheesy, and topped with sour cream, bacon, and green onions. It was like the best mashed potatoes you've ever had, but elevated. * Crispy Potatoes These were perfectly executed -- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and super satisfying. Desserts We wrapped things up with two desserts: * Chocolate-Covered Tiramisu Flavor-wise, it was rich and indulgent, but the chocolate shell was a bit too thick, which slightly overpowered the tiramisu itself. * Panna Cotta with Fresh Fruit Light, refreshing, and a great palate cleanser after the richness of the main dishes. Drinks For drinks, we started with the Queen's Bath, a papaya-infused tequila cocktail that leaned on the sweeter side -- tropical and fun. For most of the evening, we stuck with espresso martinis, which were absolutely delicious -- well balanced and not too sweet, with just the right coffee kick. Final Thoughts Overall, Cino in Ward delivered a fantastic experience -- the food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was warm and attentive. It's the kind of place you'd want to come back to for a special night out, or even just to enjoy great cocktails and shareable plates with friends. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
Birthday celebration at Cino last night although my birthday is actually today. From start to finish a fabulous dinner. The restaurant seemed to be short staffed but we weren't in any hurry. Five hungry people enjoying good food, good cocktails and some fantastic albeit small selection of desserts. All tables were filled when we arrived except the table reserved in the corner for our family. We all ordered different appetizers and entrees and enjoyed sharing bites across the table...family style. Limited wine list but that's another story. We parked across the street at the Theater complex and walked over. Nice evening.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the food here was just alright. The fritto misto was the biggest letdown--$19 for what was mostly vegetable tempura with a weird, sour tomato sauce. The pasta was good, nothing extraordinary, but it was my favorite dish of the night. The NY strip was gigantic, and it was well seasoned but a little tough. The twice baked potato was also pretty good and absolutely massive. What Cino lacks in finesse and flavor, they make up in portion sizes. Our server was very talkative and friendly, and happily explained the menu. It was surprisingly dim and cold inside, and it was also pretty loud when I went. I had no issues making a reservation day-of. There is ample free parking a block away in the Ward parking garage.

Yelp
Love the concept that the master chef brought to Hawaii. Portions are large and very delicious. I ordered their well known dishes and was very delicious. If you're looking for that Vegas style cuisine and mainland vibe take your loved one or friends to enjoy a night out of ambience and top cuisine. It's unfortunate that it's located way in the back where the road is a dead end, eventually the road will open up. You can park your car in the movie theater parking lot and walk to Cino.

Yelp
We came in as a birthday group and ended up ordering a bunch of food twice! Loved their oysters and octopus (I'm a big fan) and my friends enjoyed everything just as much. Service was top-notch: professional, well-trained, polite and yes, good looking too (had to mention that, credit to my friend!). It honestly made our experience 10x better. The space feels luxurious with a classy interior, ruby-toned restroom and great music. Nothing to complain about at all. Such a vibes, memorable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
My boyfriend made reservations for a Friday night. Parking was easy because we parked at the Ward Center structure. When we went in, it wasn't that busy. It's not a very big restaurant and it's definitely on the more intimate side. Our server was nice, but very slow. He gave us recommendations and claimed that certain dishes were on the menu for a limited time, but when I looked at the menu online and on yelp those dishes were listed. We got the following 1. Grilled octopus - very tender and delicious. I wish it was a bigger piece so it was more shareable. 2. Ahi Crudo - yummy, but nothing special. Something you could find at a sushi restaurant for a cheaper price. 4. Crab and Uni pasta - cooked perfectly, but too salty for my taste. 5. Ribeye - it came out more medium rare than medium well like we requested. They were nice enough to take it back and once it was cooked more - it was perfection. You could taste the smoke on the meat. 6. Twice baked potato - love love love this. Highly recommend. It's soo gooey and savory, perfect with the steak. 7. Tiramisu - I would skip this. It's not the traditional tiramisu you'd expect. It's more rich and not as light and fluffy as I wanted it to be. 8. Strawberry Shortcake or Crumble- I forget what it's specific name was called, but this was definitely worth getting. The crust was perfect and the strawberries were nice and sweet Overall, the food delicious and based on the location expect high prices. The service could use some work. The most disappointing part was that we would be waiting 10 minutes or more for water re-fills. And every time we would try to get his attention, he would just ignore us.

Yelp
Came for the first time for an anniversary dinner and have been back many times since. Great for date night and special occasions! Ambiance 9/10. Ordered the spanish octopus and crispy tuna rice as appetizers... BEST crispy rice on island in my opinion. Got the duck for entree and my boyfriend got the Pappardelle. Duck was tender but not my favorite ever. I would suggest going for happy hour. All appetizers are amazing!

Yelp
Let me preface that my experience was an in/out affair. Perhaps I'll return for a fuller one, but for my time and money: AMBIANCE Projects posh/class, though most patrons seemed at ease in very casual clothing. The design is brimming with glass and marble, making it a noisy/lively setting. The finishings seem well appointed, but with a subtle wearing down that reads more like lack of care than patina. SERVICE Arrived closer to open on a Friday evening with no difficulties being seated. There were, however, challenges at the table. A lack of bar menu and food portion knowledge resulted in three bouts of cocktail order negotiations and entirely too much food being ordered. FOOD & DRINK Short on time, I limited my dining by design - three drinks, three smaller plates. I'll start by stating that I've never heard of an Italian restaurant that carries neither amaro nor amaretto. That said, the cocktails they were able to conjure were well made. A wine order came and went with less debate and enjoyment. The food summoned mixed, leaning negative, emotions. The wariness of a prawn dish purporting to showcase nduja, of which there was barely any detectable (or flavor, for that matter). The ambivalence of a technically mastered, though ultimately banal, treatment of grilled polpo. The oppression of inconsistently, mostly par-cooked broccolini rabe, wide as carrots and stacked to the ceiling. The sides and mains I spotted around me looked good--perhaps I simply ordered poorly? The bill would caution a steep marginal price along that learning curve.
google avatar

Gladys B.

Yelp
High end Italian restaurant. Reservation is recommended but you can reserve the day before or same day.. Love the ambience and the service. Entrees were about a 7/10, portion size is small and a little pricey. Calamari is good, not too oily . Cocktails are very classy and unique, a lot of aromatics, not something I'm used to.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try out Cino for a while now, and I finally came here to celebrate my birthday last month in May. My husband and I chose to celebrate without the kiddos, which was a good decision since the ambiance was very romantic and cozy. The location was easy to find with ample parking nearby in the Ward area. When entering the restaurant, it was smaller than I had imagined. It was a rectangular room with a section for larger parties and the main dining section that included a counter for the bar area. Our server, JR (I think?), was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us the history of the restaurant and the chef's origins. Since it was our first time dining at Cino, he shared his top recommendations. The food we ordered: Charred Spanish Octopus - Delicious and perfectly charred! I haven't eaten octopus this way and it was very moist and tender. The puree was nicely paired with the octopus. Crispy Rice - It was okay... Twice Baked Potato - I couldn't really taste the pancetta, but rather tasted like there were bell peppers or something else in it. I love potatoes but wasn't a fan of this. Maybe I should have ordered the crispy garlic potatoes instead. 25 oz. Bone-In Ribeye - The cut of meat was delicious, but wasn't seasoned that well. Herb Pappardelle - This was my favorite dish of the night! The oxtail was very tender and melted in my mouth. The sauce was flavorful and pasta was cooked al dente. Overall, it was a good meal. I think it's a nice place to celebrate a special occasion! Happy eating!

Yelp
First time at Cino and it was a great experience. We went on a Wednesday night so it wasnt busy at all and our server JR provided the best service. This is an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant with a cozy vibe, great for date night or an after work pau hana. Food was amazing as well, JR had many recommendations and every dish we chose was amongst the most popular and they did not disappoint. Theres lots more I want to try so I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Doors open right at 5pm Very impressive decor, Las Vegas chic. Modern classy. Beautiful bar area The main dining room was a little loud when it started filling up, the music was turned up to battle the din. Servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, sharp. Great service The food was good, recommend the crispy rice and the Linguine Alle Vongole!

Yelp
Cino was our choice to celebrate Fathers Day. There were 6 of us and a 5 year old and none of us had been before. We made a reservation and arrived early and they were able to accommodate. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the vibe is on point. Our server was JR and he was phenomenal! He explained how the chef and restaurant came to exist about a year and a half ago and went into some of the best dishes on the menu. When it was time to order we ordered three pupu's which were the Beet salad, the Romaine, and the Fritto Misto. For entrees we got the Crab Spaghetti, the Spaghetti Carbonara, the Herb Pappardelle, the Ossobuco, the Veal Parmesan, and the Pork Chop. The food is a la carte so on the side we got the twice baked potato, the crispy potatoes, and the creamed spinach. Food came out timely which is always nice. All of the pupu's were delicious. The goat cheese with the beets was a great pairing. The Romaine had lots of flavor but it was pretty salty. I'd order it again though. The fritto misto was good and came with a chilabrian chili sauce. Entrees were all delicious as well. We are a family that doesn't mind sharing so we all tried everyone's food. I had the Herb Pappardelle and it came with an oxtail ragout. The sauce was so flavorful but the pasta had herbs cooked into it which meant you got that herb flavor with every bite. My boyfriend Ossobuco was huge and it sat on saffron risotto. The only issue with his was the entire dish lacked salt. I hate asking for salt but we had to and it really helped. Mine was seasoned well but the other two pastas needed salt as well. The crab pasta was SO good and the carbonara was good. Of the 3 pastas I'd say the crab one was the best. My dad got the veal parmesean ($88) and it took up the entire plate. It's expensive because its a full pound. I didn't get to try the pork chop but I heard it was also delicious. The sides were spot on too. Creamed spinach came with an egg that JR mixed in. The crispy potatoes were amazing. I could have eaten the whole thing. I'm not a fan of twice baked potatoes so I didn't try them but I heard it was very good too. We also decided to get dessert and while they don't have a dessert menu they do make several homemade desserts daily. Yesterday the desserts were a panna cotta with fruit, a chocolate tiramisu, and some kind of passion fruit tart. And they also have a couple of gelatos that they get from a nearby establishment. Dessert just like the rest of the meal was delicious. Everyone had a different favorite dessert but they were all very good and we'd eat them all again. For our group of 6 we spent $500 but thats for 3 pupu's, 6 entrees, 3 sides, 3 desserts, 3 coffees, 1 glass of wine and 2 sodas. Yes it's pricey but absolutely worth the cost and if you go I hope you get seated in JR'S section. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Update... Still one of my favorite restaurants in Oahu. They don't seem very busy tho but hopefully they stay in business. Service is still good Ambiance is still up scale Food is still good If you're around Ward Village, this is definitely one of the restaurants you need to check out. We always enjoy our dining experience here.

Yelp
Wow! What a wonderful dining experience! My project team came here for a team dinner (which in itself was a treat) after a big submittal deadline. Two of our group are regulars here so they knew all the ins and outs of what to order and offered some great suggestions. There were so many dishes that I wanted to get and it was hard to pick just one. Thank goodness we all shared the sides and a few dishes. The seafood platter: Beautifully presented, lots of choices for the 7 of us and we cleaned it up. I had everything but the shrimp and the sauces just enhanced the seafood. Cino Pinwheel: It's a ricotta stuffed pasta shaped like a pinwheel and topped with truffle shavings. Melt in your mouth flavor and cheesy goodness. This is a Cino signature dish and so totally a must get here. Filet Mignon: My dish. I get my meat cooked medium and this was perfection. I enjoy steak and this was so tender and flavorful. Everything is ala carte so I also got the crispy potatoes, others ordered creamed spinach, twice baked potato and roasted cauliflower. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and so delectable. All the sides, a little of the veal parmesan, and a bite of butternut squash ravioli. We ended the night with dessert and the table shared the tiramisu, a berry panna cotta, and some sort of berry tart. It was pretty funny to see us eat that dessert. Take a bite, pass it down and around until everything was gone. I have no words for the dessert cause I loved everything I ate. This truly was a treat because it is out of my price range to make it a regular dining experience but it was one I will rave about and never forget. Now all I need is that wealthy, single, handsome boyfriend who wants to take me here...

Yelp
When I was planning my Honolulu dining itinerary, I was impressed that CINO had been recognized as the Best New Restaurant in 2024 by Honolulu Magazine. Our dining experience last night was exceptional and worthy of such recognition. We were warmly greeted by our server JR, who is a master at making a menu delicious and delivering amazing service. He opened by telling us the story of the restaurant and how seven members of a Las Vegas casino restaurant moved to Honolulu to launch CINO. Executive chef Arnold Corpuz, with Oahu roots, returned after honing his talent in Vegas. We were impressed to meet him following our meal. He graciously allowed us to sample some additional menu items. With four of us dining, we hit all of the signatures. It was truly a feast! We enjoyed: * Salt Roasted Baby Beet * Charred Spanish Octopus - WOW! * Crispy Fried Rice * Cino Pinwheel (with seasonal truffles) - DOUBLE AMAZING * Pork Chop (with Averna Apple Reduction) - AMAZING! * Twice Baked Potato - AMAZING * Rabbit (not on the menu) - AMAZING * Tiramisu - YUM! * Coconut-Mango Panna Cotta - DOUBLE YUM The restaurant has only two servers and the dining room is intimate. Some have said it gets noisy, but we didn't experience that in the middle of the restaurant. It has a cool bar when you enter the restaurant. With dozens of trips to Honolulu, this meal was truly legendary!

Yelp
I highly recommend making a reservation if possible! We were seated quickly and loved the interior decor! Well designed with beautiful fabrics, wall accents, and perfect lighting for a special night out. Service was amazing all around! Dylan provided a superb overview of the menu, specials, and checked in on us throughout the night. The favorites of the night were their speciality cocktail, charred octopus, aged steak, seafood platter, potatoes, pinwheel pasta with truffle, and all of their desserts! I especially loved the Kumamoto oysters and their tiramisu. Everything is very elevated and plated beautifully. Portions are great and we took leftovers home. Parking is free on the nearby Whole Foods parking garage. Highly recommend for a nice dinner whether or not you're celebrating something special! We went for a nice family dinner and left feeling very full and satisfied!

Yelp
This is one of my boyfriend and I's go to restaurant in Hawaii and every time we dine here, we always leave stuffed and delighted. The most recent trip we dined on Valentine's Day and was served by Lala who was absolutely dashing and amicable. She frequently filled our waters and checked up on us. Favorites Twice baked potato is my favorite thing to get here. The consistency is so velvety and smooth and is the perfect amount of butteriness. Chilled seafood platter always contains extremely fresh seafood. The only part of the platter I did not care too much for was the lobster for it was slightly tough and briny. Great cocktail and alcohol selection. Was surprised how well priced their Louis VIII and it came in stunning Louis crystal glasses. Each clink was music to my ears. Definitely a spot you need reservations for since this place is the perfect date night spot.

Yelp
New-ish Italian restaurant opened up in the base of one of the new condo towers. Location: kakaako. If you walk from Whole Foods, towards Rinka, keep going on that little road, and you'll see Nori Bar on the left side and Planted by La Tour on the right side. Cino is a little bit after Planted. The door isn't marked, so just look for the sign above. That's the entrance. We got lost trying to go around the back side. Parking: Ward Village (theater) or Whole Foods lot Indoor/Outdoor seating: indoor is extremely lively (aka super loud), outside is more peaceful if you want to have conversations Appetizers: charcuterie board was VERY GOOD. Crab cakes were tiny (one bite!) but delicious. Sides: creamed spinach and crispy potatoes stole the show Entrees: small pretty portions. If you are looking for Buca di Beppo sized meals, this isn't it. Everyone wanted to eat McDonalds 2 hours later. Service: STELLAR 10/10. Our server was top notch, she made a superb recommendation for a substitute wine, and the bus boy(?) also had excellent suggestions, he really knew the menu. Waters were refilled promptly. Dishes were removed quickly. Presentation was great, food was good but not enough to make us want to come back right away.

Yelp
Came here to say for my birthday and don't regret it. It's pretty funny because we tried to go to a few other places but they were full already and finally we landed on Cino's. So glad we did because the food was delicious. All the staff that we met were absolutely amazing. From the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. Everyone was amazing. We will definitely be coming here again to try more of the menu. I loved the decor as well. It was so aesthetic and gave the right vibe for a dinner date.

Yelp
I was the lucky recipient of an invite to dine at Cino by a dear friend who is a regular. Initially I thought the friendly greeting by all staff was due to my friend's many visits, but I soon realized the staff were politely engaging with all their guests! The trendy clean interior is awesome! I learned the waitstaff followed Chef from Las Vegas. That shows a lot about who wonderful a Chef you are if your staff relocates to be part of your restaurant! I left the decision on what to order to my dining partner as I wanted the best of the best. We started with Cino's Wanderlust cocktail which was one of the smoothest delightful drink I have ever had. The presentation is definitely a 10! My dining partner and I also enjoyed the Kumamoto Oysters and Charred Spanish Octopus. Both apps were thoroughly enjoyed immensely. The oysters were fresh and the octopus was oh so tender! For our main course we shared the Pork Chop and Garlic Smashed Potatoes. The portions were quite large. We decided not to stuff ourselves so we could order Cino's unique Tiramisu and each enjoy a cup of coffee. The tiramisu was almost too beautiful to eat. Rich and decadent and very shareable! Definitely dine at Cino for the ambiance and food! My only regret is that I put off dining at Cino sooner.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing ambiance tucked away in a small street in the up and coming Kaka'ako area. Although the venue is on a side street as of now, the area will soon be bustling with the improvements of the Victoria Ward Park and additional condos. The inside of the venue is beautiful, and reminiscent of the high end steakhouses on the mainland. small intimate venue , with great lighting and artwork. Our food was excellent. We had a couple of Old Fashioned's, the 25 oz Ribeye, Big Eye Tuna, Charred Spanish Octopus, Crispy Rice, House aged half roast duck. Amazing meal and really great service.

Yelp
Another great dinner and with help of Dillion our favorite server a perfect night. Kumamoto oysters were available on the half shell. The enormous Veal Chop parmigiana was a show-stopper! Pastas always delicious and appropriately portioned. Don't miss the double stuffed potato but know it feeds 3, as does the delectably charred broccoli. We shared the Mango berry flan and the contemporary version of tiramisu. A delicious Lilikoi Spriter mocktail is my favorite beverage but you need to ask as I don't think it's menued.

Yelp
I would give a rating of 3.5 stars. It's not a 3 star but it's not quite a 4 star. We ordered the clam linguine, pork chop, filet and crab pasta. For sides we had twice baked potato, creamed spinach and garlic potatoes. For appetizers we had the small seafood platter and crab cakes. The appetizers were good. The entrees were ok we didn't think it was anything special especially for the price . I would have to say the desserts were the best. We ordered panacotta, tiramisu and tart. All were delicious. Service was ok nothing spectacular One thing I will say is it's very loud in the restaurant and for some reason it's hard to hear what your server is saying also hard to hear what my party was saying also. Kept having to ask them to repeat themselves. I like to try new places and so I am glad I got to try Cino. Would I come back again? Probably not

Yelp
I've been to Cino a few times now, and it never disappoints! On my most recent visit, JR was my waiter for the second time, and I have to say, his service is outstanding. He's attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always makes sure everything is just right. This time, I ordered the octopus and steak--both were incredible, as always. The octopus was tender and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of char, and the steak was flavorful and cooked exactly to my liking. I've also had the uni pasta in the past, which is another great dish with its rich flavor from the sea urchin. If you're looking for excellent food and nice ambiance I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Honolulu.

Yelp
Located in Ward with guest parking in the residential condo, on the first floor towards the ocean side of the building. Reservations are highly recommended beforehand as they were packed even on a week night. Nice date night type of vibe, or a night out with friends. But for me, the music and dining chatter is way too loud, in that it echos and reverberates throughout the dining room, which made it difficult for me to hear the conversations of my company. It's also dimly lit in some areas, making it difficult to read the menus. As for the food, some of the items were a hit and others were a miss. It all depends on your preference on textures and flavor profiles. Also, for reference, the restaurant doesn't have printed dessert menus available, thus the servers are describing it to you tableside. But again, way too loud in the restaurant and I could only hear bits and pieces of what was offered that evening. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, though I don't know if I personally would be back again.

Yelp
This update is for their weekend brunch only- here is my story I'm compelled to update my review because it's for brunch not dinner and I'm sure this update will illustrate the differences 1. the check in process and the hostess should have been easy as reservations are done via Open Table. The hostess however had the personality of a monk. No smiles no nothing (fyi there were other reviews for the same day implying the same) 2. Asked for a table on the east side because the other side was very extremely noisey (I believe I noted that in my previous review). My dining partner and I selected seats at the bar 3. Our server the bartender was more interested in the Sunday football game IMHO 4A. Food tasted as good as all their meals with the exception of my gnocchi which while it tasted great came to us room temperature (and I am a gnocchi snob such that I fly for a great serving of gnocchi) 4B. Lobster roll was not a roll rather it was lobster mash in mayo on toasted white bread 4C. They were out of the crab cake Benedict which I found odd as we ordered our dishes between 11:45-12:00 This was not my first brunch at Cino and won't be my last but I will say the overall experience was a disappointment

Yelp
Super trendy popular resto at this time. Free parking around Kakaako area! Service was great- luckily we were able to get a table as this place is hard to get into. The food was delicious! It did not disappoint! Highly recommended if you want to celebrate an occasion here, or just to hang out! Definitely will be back. Enjoy!

Yelp
A unique experience... Loved my dinner experience at Cino which is located in Kaka'ako...'A'ali'i Condominium to be exact on the ground level along side besides a few other biz they're located in the very back and what a lovely place. Reservations is a must at this cozy spot as it fills up very fast though the seatings can get quite limited the service is just phenomenal. I started dinner with a drink..."Queen's Sunset" to be exact as this papaya infusad Tequila among other items gave it a kick for sure. As we started with the Chilled Seafood Platter the spectacular presentation is amazing that they had no idea where to begin accompanied by some well crafted sauces this thing of beauty was incredible. 25oz Bone in Ribeye, Branzino, Wagyu Special, and Veal Parmesan was definitely something I'd totally recommend...the ribeye was just prepared perfectly and sliced for easy grazing, Veal was a massive tomahawk like presentation that we didn't expect, Branzino grilled beautifully plated on top of my most favorite chimichurri sauce that had a yummy kick i could have that sauce on everything. The Wagyu was phenomenal the delicate flavors just exploded our palate beyond what we'd expected. Needing something fresh we also ordered broccolini and a Caesar salad which was a bit different as it wasn't romaine but some other type of greens along with what seems like roasted bread crumbs was different but a welcome freshness that i enjoyed. Dessert was Lilikoi sorbet for me with several huge and generous scoops of yumminess a treat indeed that was a great way to end our journey.

Yelp
This was my second time dining at Cino, and it was phenomenal! First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. The decor is very upscale, and you can tell they put attention to detail into every component. Our host, Rachel, was so welcoming and friendly, and the bartender, Kipapa, took amazing care of us. He has extensive knowledge of wine and helped us find delicious pairings for our meals and made great food recommendations. The food was incredible! Everything was so fresh, and it was all just perfect. There's nothing that could make it better! The Kumamoto oysters were so good, I could have eaten a dozen myself! The Crispy Rice was also perfection--the best I've ever had, beating Nobu's by a mile! We also ordered the Charred Spanish Octopus and Salt Roasted Baby Beets. The octopus was amazingly tender, and the beet salad was the perfect palate cleanser. For mains, we had the Herb Pappardelle and the 16oz NY strip with twice-baked potatoes. The pasta was rich and flavorful, and the steak was tender with a perfect crust. But those potatoes--they were out of this world! I wish I could have buckets of them at home. They were so smooth, luxurious, and full of flavor. I'm already looking forward to the next time I can enjoy a delicious meal from Cino!

Yelp
Came here as one of our last date nights before having a baby. Dinner reservations were easy to make, they're located in the A`eo condo right across from the park. We parked at wholefoods and walked over. Really nice ambiance and it felt really cozy. I ordered the pork chop and a side of the twice baked potato as my starch. Wifey ordered the rigatoni bolognese. The pork chop was massive so much food I had to take home leftovers. To me the real star was that twice baked potato tho, I wasn't expecting it to be so elevated and soft! The staff were really nice and took the time to talk to us about all the options and made small talk as well. Definitely want to come back to try more things off the menu!

Yelp
Very good food, service is great too, we love outdoor better than indoor. More quiet than inside

Yelp
Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... Many of my friends (Angel, Lyla, Rod, Jo, Lorie, Scott, Kristian, Darryl, Jenel, Nadia, Shigeru, Peter C., and Donna) wrote 5-star reviews for Cino... I had high expectations! I got my neighbor to go with me because she's blunt about food... haha! We parked for free at the Ward Entertainment Center (under the Consolidated Theater) and walked over. Located across from Nori Bar, and down the sidewalk from Planted by La Tour, Cino was at the end of the row of businesses. The interior was rather large and a bit noisy. The convenient restroom was pleasant but had a strange odor like stagnant water. My neighbor and I discussed if the fragrance could be from a human, but no... because it remained for a while... (Gas would dissipate.) Hailee was our cheerful, competent server! She was efficient and friendly! We were really looking forward to enjoying the food, but the asparagus was too salty (we thought about taking it home and rinsing it off); the duck legs were on the tough side and were rather tart (the sliced meat was succulent); and the butterfish was drowning in miso sauce. We both liked the beet appetizer with goat cheese! My favorite was the crab spaghetti. My neighbor had her first taste of uni and let me have the rest! I'm glad that I got a chance to visit... Bucket list item was checked off! I'd go back for other things on the menu, but I'm not in a rush.

Yelp
We came here for my mom's birthday & the food was very yummy -- Pork Chop, Rib Eye ($88), Crab Pasta, Linguine Clam Sauce Vongole, Tiramisu, Garlic Potatoes, & Calamari! They gave us a very small/melted ice cream with a candle to celebrate my mom's birthday. The only disappointing part was that I made a 7:30PM reservation and we got seated around 8:15PM...

Yelp
My friend and I had a wonderful night with appetizers and main course. He ordered duck and I had 60 days dry aged New York strip for main courses and he ordered compact and oyster on half selves as appetizers. Everything is in perfect tastes. Thanks to server Dillon's outstanding service too.

Yelp
Wonderful new gem in Ward Village serving flavorful Italian fare. Excellent service from Dylan. Contemporary decor with inside and outside seating. Love the charred tender octopus appetizer and the popular Cino pinwheel truffle pasta. Uni crab pasta was alright with a light sauce. (For a creamier uni pasta, I recommend checking out Arancino.) The star of the meal was the truffle pinwheel pasta, which I highly recommend. Even though my wallet was crying, my palate was in heaven ;) For dessert, the tiramisu is thick like a chocolate bar on the heavier side. The lilikoi (passionfruit) sorbet is light and fruity. I want to try the panna cotta next time. Overall, we were impressed with the food, but the loud noise level from other diners can be an issue. On a Monday night for dinner, we happened to be seated in the back room with a large party, and it was uncomfortably loud for all the other tables in the room. The restaurant is working on some sound dampening cushions so hopefully that will be coming soon. In the meantime, I recommend opting to dine outdoors if you are seated near a large party so you can truly enjoy your fancy meal and hear your dining partners!

Yelp
A great place to celebrate! Cino has such a nice atmosphere, kinda strange to note, but their chairs are SO comfortable and the dining room is beautifully decorated. Indoors can get a bit noisy. I highly recommend trying a dinner special--I ordered the agnolotti which was perfectly cooked + filled with sweet corn and topped with a corn foam. I also tried bites of my parents' branzino (daily dish special) and ribeye. Another standout was the fluffy twice baked potatoes! I ended my night with a refreshing lilikoi sorbet (always save room for dessert!). Couldn't ask for a better dining experience--and excellent service was the icing on the cake :) we will be back!

Yelp
Since its inception in last fall of 2023, Cino has had consistently good food and decent service. I've deducted one star because the restaurant is cramped and noisy; it is not the best place for a tête-à-tête to reconnect with a friend. I also deducted one star because they seem to be short on staff, my server put in our food orders but forgot to refill our glasses.

Yelp
A great restaurant with phenomenal food and drinks. I come here every now for work dinners or to just grab a drink at the bar and am always satisfied with my visit. The employees have great customer service but the food can be a bit slow to come out. Great ambiance but can get loud especially for a business dinner.

Yelp
So fortunate to have dined at Cino. I had a grand time at this fairly new restaurant in the A'ali'i Residential Condo. I've seen Yelp Elites Jo Y, Terri K, Peter C posted about this restaurant a while ago and was curious where it was on Queen St. Fortunately Jo Y asked if I wanted to try here for my birthday and I was blessed. It was a classy Italian fusion Restaurant with outstanding food. Price was on the higher side but the food was amazing and so was the service. Portions were generous too. It's nice to come for special occasions or in a large group so you can try many of their delicious offerings! We had JR as our server and got nothing but the best from him. He was very attentive and personable. He answered all our questions and knowledgable of the menu items. It was cool that the Executive Chef is from Hawaii and returned home from Las Vegas and brought the General manager, our waiter and others here to work with him. We were fortunate to meet the Executive Chef and General Manager. The only thing it can kind of loud inside with everyone talking. There were some outside seating too to escape the noise, but it's nicer to be inside. It was cooler and beautiful inside. I was told later that the Mayor Blangiardi was also dining in the house while we were there. We had dinner here but they also serve Brunch too. We were able to try the pork chops, Market Fish Branzino and Twice baked potato! You have to see the photos! It was so different and was so impressed by their presentation and uniqueness of all their dishes. I haven't seen the Twice baked potatoes before. I knew it would be good if Jo Y. had ordered and tried this before and even the 14 day dry-aged pork chops. So tender and juicy. The Market Fish Branzino was whole and deboned. It was little on the spicy side but it was flavorful. it was even beautifully plated. I was able to share two desserts of tiramisu & panna cotta topped with fresh mixed fruits. Thank you for the complimentary birthday dessert! It was great birthday dinner with good company and great service from Cino! It's one of my favorite places and would definitely repeat and dine again. I also don't mind trying their weekend brunch menu! They have numerous reviews already with favorable 5-star rating. You just know it's a good place to try. Thank you Jo. Recommend to park at the Ward Theatre parking or the Wholefoods parking lot. It's next to Planted by La Tour and Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union and the near the Rinka restaurant.

Yelp
For date night, my fiancé and I decided to go to Cino. We really enjoyed our first dinner there. The decor is amazing and I loved sitting at table 50. I was really looking forward to having a nice evening and enjoying a beautiful filet mignon for dinner. We started with a couple of appetizers. The crab cakes and a Caesar salad. The crab cakes were okay, nothing special. However, I did enjoy the Caesar. Instead of a traditional Caesar salad, they did their own spin to it. It had radicchio and romaine. I enjoyed the bitterness of the radicchio in the salad. I also liked their take on croutons. Rather than having big pieces of croutons (that are so awkward to eat sometimes), they did a dusting of toasted bread crumbs, which I enjoyed. As I mentioned earlier, I was really looking forward to the filet mignon. I hadn't enjoyed a nice steak in a minute. I think it was a beautiful cut of meat, until it was cooked. There was too much char on the steak for my liking. Now where I liked the bitterness of the radicchio in the Caesar, I did not enjoy the bitterness I tasted when biting into my steak. I tried really hard to enjoy it, but I just couldn't do it. That bitterness remained as an aftertaste for quite some time. I should have mentioned something to the server, but I had eaten half of it by then and didn't want to be that guest. You know..the one who eats most of their food and then complains about it afterwards. I may come back again for their pasta dishes, but definitely not when I'm craving a steak.

Yelp
We had been at a nearby establishment and were super disappointed with our experience there, that we didn't eat much and were still hungry. In our wandering around, we saw Cino and I mentioned that I had been wanting to check it out. I'm so thrilled we did. With no reservations on a Friday night, we walked in around 730 and were seated quickly. Our server was incredible, very communicative and excited about the menu, chef, and restaurant. We enjoyed the items we ordered and had to take home leftovers. It's a smooth, warm vibe, with moderate noise levels. I'm excited to go back again and try more items.

Yelp
I pass by this establishment twice weekly when I work in the area. I've noticed how busy this restaurant has been and have been wanting to try it. Finally we decided to have a date night and my date suggested we have dinner here. I already had in mind of what I wanted to eat due to reading the reviews on Yelp and looking at all the pictures of the food and also of the menu. My heart was set on the 25oz ribeye for my entree. We checked in with the hostess and she had a table for us right next to where you can watch the cooks and see into the kitchen, but we wanted a more private table seated in the back. The hostess didn't seem too happy with the request, but she did get us another table that we could sit at in back. We definitely didn't want to sit outside because of how it smells out there from the dogs peeing on the plants, small bordered fences back there. I smell it when running/walking past when I work there, so outside wouldn't have been an option. Shortly after being seated and menus given to us, we took a look at the menu in hand and already knew what was on it, yet we both chose totally different dishes in the end. The waiter went over the special and mentioned that his favorite on the menu is the Veal Parmesan. To start, I ordered a cocktail called The Bengal and we ordered the Charred Spanish Octopus as our appetizer. This was so amazing, that I would go back just to have this. I ended up ordering the Veal Parmesan as my entree because the waiter sold me on it! It was so tender with fresh mozzarella, basil and tomato on top and twice baked potato. My date ordered Herb Pappardelle which has lamb and whipped ricotta. My Veal was amazing! I believe for the Herb Pappardelle, if you like lamb, then you may like this entree, but if you don't like the acquired taste of it, this may not be for you. I myself thought it was a good dish, but would try one of the other pastas next time. For desert we ordered the Tiramisu bar. This was really good! Not your regular tiramisu desert for sure. It was tiramisu with a chocolate shell, similar to Doves ice cream bar with the chocolate shell around it. As full as we were, we ate all of the desert and got the rest packed to take home. The food was wonderful and my tummy was content. I would recommend Cino, so check them out!

Yelp
What a beautiful ambiance! A perfect restaurant for special occasions. I happen to celebrate my birthday dinner here and our server JR was outstanding. Upon seated, he was very descriptive about how the restaurant came to be and explained their menu. We trusted him on our choices and we were blown away. Located at Ward by Holey Grail. Just a few walking distance. For appetizer, we ordered Fritto Misto with Beef Tartare and they were delicious. Entree we ordered New York Strip and Wagyu Special with Broccolini and Crispy Garlic Potatoes. Dessert was complementary and we got 2, Tiramisu 10/10 and I forgot what it was called but it was Mango and Coconut Cream. We both were impressed and would love to come back and try other item on their menus.
