"A Jacksonville dessert institution since 1936, Cinotti’s offers cakes, doughnuts, and cookies, with seasonal specials like pumpkin in fall and peppermint during the holidays. For Christmas, the bakery sells gingerbread house kits complete with icing and decorations." - Megan duBois

"Cinotti's Bakery is a must-visit bakery and doughnut shop in Jacksonville featuring many display cases of doughnuts filled with everything from classic cake varieties to filled doughnuts. A fan favorite is the long john, a custard-filled rectangular doughnut with a sweet chocolate glaze. Those who are looking for a true classic will want to try the glazed doughnut, which is so soft it almost melts away with each bite. Pro tip: don’t be deterred by the long line upon arrival, it moves quickly as the bakery inside is rather small." - Megan duBois

There is so much yummy to choose from. The staff member that helped us was amazingly patient while we tried to decide what to have. Donuts won today! Next time we we’ll try their breakfast.

I have enjoyed this bakery for several years now - they have my vote as BEST bakery in JACKSONVILLE! It is so worth stopping in and grabbing some fresh doughnuts or one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches. The staff is so eager to help your stop will be quick. They are knowledgeable and friendly. They have an outside eating area as well as a nice clean and comfortable eating area inside. They offer a FULL bakery - doughnuts, cakes, bread, muffins, cookies, sandwiches, and also a gift area. Parking can be a little tricky when they are busy but it’s definitely worth the effort. Fresh and delicious!

Amazing donuts. I want to try other things from here but only donuts this time. It all looks so good. Staff is super nice and fast. This place has a passion for what they do and it shows. Prices are fair. Location is very good. They have seating inside and out. Great ambiance as well.

I absolutely love Cinotti’s! My highlight is always Janet (even though she some how talks me into buying a few extra treats than I intended each time I stop by!), but, her kindness to everyone walking through the door and personally thanking our service men and woman is extremely special to me! There are SO MANY options to choose from so you will not be disappointed!

We love Cinottis!! The Philly is the best I’ve ever had!!! Don’t forget a cookie on your way out!

Bought a cake from the fridge and was told this morning it was too much to put a A SMILEY FACE in place of “Happy Birthday”…. It literally is the same amount of icing. I offered to come back 4 hours later, the only option was it could be done by tomorrow and would be charged a rush fee. …. For a smiley face, which the girl helping me and the cake princess who told her NO need!

Unlike others, I ordered ranch burger, which was super delicious. I tried their donuts before and was not a big fan, but their burger was really delicious. Everyone is very busy and the dining area is small, so it is not a relaxing place to eat, though. Quickly eat and leave!

Visited this bakery yesterday afternoon since I’m not normally in this area. I thought to stop after remembering former colleagues mention such great things about their food. It’s unfortunate, that their service is misaligned. Upon walking up to the entrance of the bakery, I was met with an older woman who I see is named Janet from other reviews. She insisted that I go to the back of the line of other customers who had arrived after I did. I explained to her more than once that I was in the appropriate place yet she kept insisting otherwise. It wasn’t until another customer told her that I was there before them that she stopped. Once inside, I told her, “Well, that didn’t feel good”, to which she responded saying that she’s not a rude person and to feel free to report her. No apology, no acknowledgment. I explained that it wasn’t my intention to report her, it’s my intention to communicate that this experience, with respect to welcoming people that come to patronize this establishment could be better as well as note to her my several efforts to communicate that I was not “skipping ahead” of anyone. I contemplated long before writing this review and even made an attempt to call the bakery. However, there’s an automatic message essentially saying they are too busy to answer the phone and suggests that callers send them an e-mail instead. Looking at other reviews on both Google and Yelp, this isn’t the first time prospective customers of color have had this experience. I will not be back.

Yelp
If you've ever asked about specialized cakes , themed cookie artisan ‍ breads, or seasonal doughnuts one name has topped the list and driven the conversation for nearly 100 years in Jacksonville. Cinotti's Bakery on Penman has served tens of thousands of customers over the years providing celebratory sweets for hundreds of birthdays anniversaries, weddings , graduations and any special occasion that you can imagine. The operation employs dozens of busy bodies bustling from one end of the bakery to another. I had waited impatiently for months for the opportunity to visit this confection foundry. What better time than the annual Super Bowl of sweet indulgence Halloween to pay these great folks a visit. I had only sampled some of their delicious cookies and doughnuts when they would bring their whole family to my restaurant and treat my staff to boxes of sweets. Week after week like clockwork on Sunday the Cinotti's crew would come in to Fast Eddy's and damn near clean me out of Motley Chicken Tenders. It's the kind of reward you save for yourself after making 30,000 Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts and God knows how many spooky cookies. Just like advertised there was a line to and out the door when I arrived around 1 o'clock. One lady was keeping folks in line while two others took orders. There are about a half dozen inside tables and as many outside lining the sidewalk. All walks of life filled the tables and waited in line. The whole operation was quite a show and the amount of work being done simultaneously while cooks were preparing ready-to-eat foods was impressive. In addition to the variety of Bakery fare Cinotti's offers a full breakfast and lunch menu. The sandwich lineup was extensive with traditional originals and a build-your-own option. I opted for the Reuben and a large Arnie. The Arnie is a Ham, Salami, Turkey, Roast Beef Provolone Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato Peppers, Onion, Mayo & Mustard Hoagie. I added pepperoni because I'm a psycho. Sides were Potato Salad and Macaroni Salad. For dessert I went Berzerker on spooky cookies for my staff and a few for me. No shit the Reuben was an absolute grand slam home run. Massive slices of Marbled Rye, Grilled Corned Beef, Sauerkraut Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing...you may Substitute Corned Beef for Turkey. As you can see in the picture, the Reuben cheese pull was as spectacular as any pizza pull ever! The Arnie deserves some sort of award for size, value and flavor. Pictured is only one half of this massive meaty creation. It literally took me 4 days to eat this sandwich. No amount of praise for this business would be sufficient. Dozens of some of Jacksonville's most popular restaurants use their bread and desserts. The amount of philanthropy and good will they have shared with this community, particularly with Military , First Responders and Faith based groups is immeasurable through the years. Go taste and see the goodness of Cinotti's for yourself.

Yelp
Cinotti's is such a Jacksonville staple and I'm not sure why it took us so long to try it! We stopped in on St. Patty's day weekend and they were pumping out orders left and right. Everything from cakes and cookies to biscotti and muffins. Hubby and I picked up a little assortment of treats for the weekend. The thumbprint cookie selection was great. We tried the peanut butter, chocolate and strawberry. All were very good. We also tried a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie that was amazing! The Irish soda bread was super tasty. As was the Easter egg cake. Be sure to check out their kitchenware and gift section. Lots of cute items like coasters, salt & pepper shakers, cups and cocktails in a jar. Next time I want to try one of their yummy looking cupcakes. Until then Cinotti's!

Yelp
Yesterday we headed to Cinottis for their annual launch of the pumpkin donuts. We got there in time for lunch so we all enjoyed sandwiches. The bakery was packed and everyone was excited but the staff were so excited and very welcoming. This is the perfect local hangout at the beach and if you need to order any special cookies, cakes, or pastries this would be the best option for all things Jacksonville.

Candice W.

Yelp
Plenty of parking Staff is lovely Lots of gifts if you just happen to need one. Delicious sandwiches Cookies, muffins, donuts so many choices Good people, they give extra love to first responders. Definitely check it out

Yelp
I grabbed one of Cinotti's Peanut Butter Delight 6" cakes recently for my a birthday. I was able to get the cake very quickly and have writing pipetted on the cake immediately without having to preorder. While I appreciate that it was a beautiful cake and the service was top notch, the cake was unfortunate too sweet and not moist enough for me. There was a ton of icing on the cake that overwhelmed the flavor to the point that I could barely taste the peanut butter flavor or the cake. I found myself dreading having to finish the cake, but for 35 dollars, I didn't want to waste it either. I heard that Cinotti's has good doughnuts so I might go back to try those, but unfortunately I will not go back for cake.

Dawn D.

Yelp
A small little bakery out-of-the-way but always packed full around lunchtime, delicious sandwiches and helpful counter workers that are absolutely a delight to speak with. Greeted graciously by staff that are always so helpful. Cutest little place to grab some fresh cookies or sandwich at lunchtime always my go to place when visiting my son.

Laura G.

Yelp
Cinotti's has been on my list for some time so I was excited to finally stop by. I was impressed with the beautiful display of pies, cakes, cookies, donuts and more. I ordered a box of assorted fancy cookies, apple fritter and a dozen donuts. The maple bacon donut was the best that I have ever had and I loved the fancy cookies. I especially liked the bachelor buttons....they had a delicious dollop of chocolate in the center and also came in strawberry, lemon, double chocolate, rainbow and more.

Robert L.

Yelp
I ordered a carrot cake for my wife's birthday. Delicious! The only thing better is my friend, Jacquie's, homemade version. Ordering and pickup was a breeze.

Walter D.

Yelp
This place has the best employee in the world. You will walk in and Janet will always greet you with a smile. She was so kind and well hearted I would say without her this place wouldn't be the same. The food was good and the pastries were even better. Towards the end of our meal Janet walks over and clears our table and wipes it down. The whole area is clean and they have good music playing. Over all I would come back and heck if I lived here this would be a weekly thing. You just don't see people like her anymore.

Syrena H.

Yelp
Wow!! What a cool place! My neighbor got her husbands birthday cake from cinotti's bakery it was amazing! We went there to get a cake just because we liked it no specific reason and they are worth every penny. I love watching people make cakes and they have a really cool gift shop with fun things it reminds me of the white fence farm gift shop if anyone is from Denver and knows what im talking about. Great service people are nice and the employees seem happy.

Erica C.

Yelp
Quick mini egg cake pickup for Easter treats. A couple for my neighbors and a few for the family. Basic cakes, but good flavor and super cute. Mixture of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Always fun holiday options.

Audrey A.

Yelp
Happy Birthday, Harry! Loving the Harry Potter themed cookies. They even have butterbeer donuts! Tomorrow's the last day to get Harry Potter goodies. Aside from their HP stuff, I have always enjoyed their donuts, breakfast, lunch, cakes and cookies. Great service!

Briana T. A.

Yelp
When they first open in the morning it's always very crowded and a bit loud. The service is amazing, all of the staff is very helpful and sweet. I had ordered a birthday cake and i was a bit disappointed when i cut into it. It was only 2 layers with very sweet buttercream on the inside. However on the outside the buttercream was quite hard and tasted a bit off. All of my party guests enjoyed their slices but i am a pretty picky person.

Jessica P.

Yelp
So happy i had them make my daughters birthday cake this yr. Absolutely gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Debra A.

Yelp
Ordered personalized cupcakes for a one year old Holy cow Axel one and they looked and taste wonderful! Icing Not too sweet and cake so light and fluffy! Thank you for preparing just what we requested even better!

Weston W.

Yelp
Fantastic as always! Long line, even at 1:30 in the afternoon, but the wonderful staff made short order of the line. Love this bakery!

JoeJulie B.

Yelp
I wish every place we go to had the customer service mindset of this place. We walked in and must have clearly looked overwhelmed at all the yumminess surrounding us. Everywhere we turned was carbs--we were in heaven, but didn't know where to start. This super friendly lady greeted us and pointed us in the direction of the BIGGEST DONUT I HAD EVER SEEN. This thing was like a foot or more across. She definitely broke the ice for us. We immediately were assisted by another super sweet lady behind the counter, who described everything they make and do with a passion that made us think she might be part of the family there. We were in and out in a timely manner, the prices were great, and the donuts were amazing. The turnovers are so close to phyllo dough- light and airy and sooooo delicious. This is a 45 minute drive for us, and you can bet your booty we will be back!!!

Angie T.

Yelp
So big colorful sugar cookies are totally my thing because nothing makes a statement like a plate of them, besides maybe a beautifully decorated cake...but if I'm choosing between one or the other it's gonna be the cookies! Now the problem is that for some weird reason decorated sugar cookies are so hit or miss in the taste department. Too many times I've been wowed by the cuteness of them only to bite into an overcooked brick with subpar icing. Tragic, really since sugar cookies are the easiest thing to make and they taste phenomenal when done correctly. We had some gorgeous cookies from Cinotti's for Thanksgiving and I was eyeing them all day wondering if they'd be yum or disappointing. They were absolutely delicious...soft and so fresh! I'm so glad we took a chance and got a few of the cookies. A delicious dessert and made the table look soooo cute!! We also had a pecan pie from here and I highly recommend that as well!

A C.

Yelp
Always great donuts, sweet treats and the best custom cakes! Their pies are delicious too!

Mike G.

Yelp
I wanted to have a cannoli cake for a loved ones birthday and knew I could count on Cinottis! I have had their regular cannolis in the past and a few of their cakes so with that in mind I know I would get a delicious and beautiful cake. Only thing that is better than their food is their service. From the phone call requesting the cake to walking out the door I could sense the love that they put into their art work of parties and their business model . 11/10 would recommend!

Erin D.

Yelp
One of the best club sandwiches I've ever had! The bread is so fresh and the establishment smells divine with all the baked goods

Chuck W.

Yelp
I have been fortunate to have lived in a lot of places that had great bakeries. The kinds that used butter rather than shortening to produce their many delicious items...This place is not one of them, sadly. I have been to Cinotti's Bakery several times and they are consistent with a C grade. But in the last year, like many other retailers, their prices have gone up to the point that I will no longer come here. When they charge $3 for an apple fritter when Publix charges $1 and really, there is no significant difference, that is alarming. When they are charging $5 for an Almond Claw, made with shortening instead of butter, that is ridiculous.

Alexa A.

Yelp
The place to be!!! The best bakery at the beaches! Cinnotti's is tucked away on the side of penman road. Your first visit will definitely be the first of many! Once you enter, the aroma of fresh sugary goodness fills the air and draws you in. There are displays with various baked goods. On the right side there are cake selections and cupcakes. In the center is cookies, winged by doughnuts to the left, and assorted bakery items in the last display on the left end. In addition to their traditional bakery items, they also serve a variety of drinks and sandwiches. I got a box of 6 donuts: Maple Bacon, chocolate dusted, Chocolate Covered Donut, blueberry donut, Glazed Croissants, glazed lemon cake long John, and also an Apple Turnover from the bakery. I thought the donuts would last longer, but they were so yummy we ate them way faster than we planned haha!! (Note to self: buy more next time LOL) The staff are SUPER nice. While they are relatively short staffed, as everyone is, due to COVID, the line moves very quickly, and the staff are always kind and polite. You can really tell they enjoy their jobs. They are also able to answer any questions you have about the menu or specific items. Inside, they have tables on the left side, where you are welcome to dine to enjoy your sandwiches or treats. On the right side, they have a small shopping area with cake decorations, dog treats, and party and baking supplies. Pro tip: check in on Yelp for a free drink! Cant wait to come back for more!!

Claudio L.

Yelp
when we got there, the place was busy, but they had someone at the front door to meet and greet us. I've had this I believe some menus, and when we got to the counter, the young lady there was very patient and did not rush us. As you can, see the only problem we had was they had so many different options and we didn't really know what to get. So we actually ended up getting a sit down breakfast.

Katie P.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Cinotti's!! There literally is something for anyone and everyone! Delicious desserts and a massive variety of choices! The only problem-it's hard to choose just one thing and you walk away with more than you planned! But so worth it :)

Jeff M.

Yelp
I've always stopped at Cinottis ( best, friendliest, and accommodating bakery) on my way home to Atlanta- to stock up on my favorite pastries. This time I ordered Meltaways in advance. If you haven't tried this favorite from early Cinotti's, give them a try!

Eric G.

Yelp
This a great family run bakery which is delicious and welcoming. Everyone who comes through is greeted with a warm hello. We ate delicious breakfast sandwiches and a variety of donuts. All were perfect. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Joe K.

Yelp
Cinotti's is a traditional bakery full of donuts, cookies, and cakes. On my mission to locate the best donut in Jacksonville, I jumped at the chance to stop at Cinotti's when I was in the Jacksonville Beach area. There's ample parking, and the bakery itself is quite large, full of display cases. As for donuts, they only had cake donuts- while cake donuts are my favorite, I was disappointed that they didn't have any raised donuts (at least when I was there) since you can tell a lot about a bakery by their glazed donut. I wasn't too into the donuts I bought- a plain cake, glazed cake, and chocolate cake. Sadly, they all reminded me of grocery store donuts. No crispy exterior, not much of a sweet flavor, just... average donuts. Maybe I visited on an off day, as I had high hopes for a traditional bakery like Cinotti's. I'll likely give them one more shot to try some of their pastries and bread, but in terms of donuts, I am sad to say that they weren't anything special.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot in the Jacksonville beach area! We came by this spot before heading to the beach and enjoyed the visit. They have great customer service! We were given credit because we were disappointed with a previous order but they made sure to take care of us. They have a great variety of items. Their donuts are delicious and offer a wide variety of flavors. My personal favorite was their Oreo donut. We also ordered breakfast sandwiches which were filling and savory. Additionally, we ordered a muffin and bear claw which we also enjoyed. Overall, we liked this spot and it is a good one to visit if in the area.

Teresa C.

Yelp
Super bakery. The doughnuts are delicious and obviously fresh. Pumpkin doughnuts seasonally are must have. Gorgeous cakes and pastries. Service is friendly and quick.

A D.

Yelp
Long line and the donuts were good but not that awesome to drive there again and stand in line outside. I will probably be back to try other things in their menu.

Allison S.

Yelp
This place continues to delight! The coffee and baked goods are absolutely the best in Jacksonville!!!

Al B.

Yelp
Assortment of donuts and goodness it's all delicious. Definitely a must have if ever in Jax.

Debbie F.

Yelp
Cinottis has been there with many parties I have had thru the years with decorated cookies which are always so adorable and very detailed. This was my first time trying their cupcakes. I ordered a half dz in a variety of flavors. Cupcakes are always a good thing but they are custom to your taste and they have lots to taste . Cinottis cake is moist and full of flavor, the frosting is piled so high you could share it for sure. Its sweet and durable as I had to leave them in my car for a couple of hours on the way home. They are always smiling and very accommodating. I saw they have young to young at heart serving all patrons happily.

Mike H.

Yelp
1st timer. Breakfast croissant's and doughnuts amongst the best in town The gentleman that took our order over the phone was polite and patient with our questions and our cashier inside was polite as well.

Mark M.

Yelp
This is the place for authentic donuts! We popped in here yesterday and could not believe the huge selection, and not only donuts, but for cookies, cupcakes, and cakes! We stuck to donuts this time, $11 a dozen. We chose Apple Filled, Blueberry, Sour Cream, Red Velvet, Apple Fritter, Chocolate, and some donut holes. All donuts were amazing; moist, super fresh, with excellent flavor. My favorite was the sour cream, chocolate sour cream, donut holes, and the delicious glazed croissant (yeah I know, that's a lot of favorites, lol). The place had a few indoor tables and a few outdoor tables. They had lots of anti bacterial wipes and hand sanitizer handy too. Places like this are a rare find these days; Highly Recommended!

Thomas P.

Yelp
Been here a couple times with no issues. This time was for my youngest son's birthday, and they could not understand how to design the cupcakes from a picture. I mean this place makes wedding cakes. Went to pick them up and they were wrong (for the money we paid they looked like I just picked them up from Walmart) and my kids had to tell them how to design the cupcakes. The whole time the homo that took the order is giving my wife attitude. If I was there I would've slapped the gay of his face. Left the house at 10 AM and was not able to drop the cupcakes off till almost 2 o'clock because they just couldn't get it right. All that time wasted sitting at cinotti's. This experiences is enough to make me not want to go back.

Katherine S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I found out about it through my realtor, who gave me a pie as a gift. My dad absolutely loved it that he requested another one for Christmas. I couldn't stop from wanting it all! I left with like 4 boxes, all for under $50. OMG! It was amazing. You walk in and feel like you're in a piece of history. That is what a true bakery should be. Full of shelves of cookies, donuts, cupcakes and everything in between. Highly recommend; can't wait to take my dad in person!

Mechelle C.

Yelp
From Cakes to breakfast and lunch sandwiches, this is the best place on the beach for the locals. Known for their doughnuts, they are made fresh daily- in house. They also offer a wide selection of cakes, pastries and cookies. I'm a fan of the book nook on the other side of the soda fountain . It's quite and not everyone knows it's there. Shhhhh! Anyway, go here!!!! Check the hours first though.

Courtney D.

Yelp
Came here semi recently. The order taker wasn't the friendliest person, and the bakery items, although they look good, were very dry. I wouldn't come back.

Kendra J.

Yelp
The Apple fritters are my favorite. The cult faves of the pumpkin donut is amazing. The rice krispy cookie so yummy. And you can't go wrong with breakfast.

Anne P.

Yelp
WOW! First of all being greeted at the door and helped when you're new was great. Then the BF sandwiches were amazing, esp MVP. Nice coffee and whoa... donuts and pastries like you wouldn't believe! Plenty of counter help. Food and people were awesome. We came back again today. Good size counter display! This shop also has indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. Must visit if in Jax Beach area!

Al I.

Yelp
Review your receipt and keep a copy. Appears to be an integrity issue here. I have heard negative comments about this establishment any always defended them. I will not be back.

Cesar G.

Yelp
We have been a patron of Cinotti's for years! Cinotti's serves breakfast and lunch. Their sandwiches are served on their fresh baked bread. If you like a traditional sub, try the Cinotti's House Sub. The large is a pretty decent size for the price. They also make a good Philly Cheese Steak! Cinotti's Bakery & Sandwich Shop makes freshly baked breads, pastries, cookies, pies, cakes. The bakery also has a wide variety of 'made from scratch' donuts! While they have the usual types of donuts, they also have specialty yeast and cake donuts. A specialty yeast donut to try is the Maple Bacon (think sweet and salty with REAL BACON!). Cake Donuts to try are the Blueberry, Red Velvet and of absolutely their seasonal signature PUMPKIN DONUTS!!! Cinotti's Pumpkin Donuts are synonymous with the start of Fall season! Tip: If you are taking a box of Pumpkin Donuts home, they are best when HOT! 10-15 seconds (for a single pumpkin donut) in the microwave should do the trick!

Mary Lou T.

Yelp
Great place great people. They have the best donuts. The owners are great people who do tons for the community too. So when you buy a donut you are helping the community too.

Annie M.

Yelp
I had heard about this Bakery on 100.7 The Promise. They were looking for the best donughts in Jax. They raved about it. When I went on the website, it looked so good. My husband and I took a trip down there today. What was going to be one dozen donuts turned into all the Christmas cookies I need as well as other tasty items. The donuts were soooo good. I cant remember the last time I had an actual bakery donut. Hats off to Trynity Thompson for her patience in helping a new person to Jacksonville and a new person to Cinotti's and helping me choose the delicacies.

Bryce L.

Yelp
Great doughnuts! The pastries I tried as just ok. I would give 5 stars to the 4 different donuts I had a taste of. Stick to donuts with them since pastries as slightly overpriced as well. They just seemed like basic ones you can get from any bakery

Amber S.

Yelp
I spent the first few years of my Florida life thinking there were no bakeries like we had in the Midwest. Then the stars aligned and I finally stopped into Cinotti's bakery. My eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning when I walked in. There were cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and donuts galore! They've got a pretty well-oiled machine of getting folks their order quickly and the workers are typically very helpful. The cookies are like none I've ever tasted before. I'm not joking when I say that I wake up on Saturday morning and those cookies are the first thing I think about. Luckily I discovered Cinotti's in the fall, which also means I've had a few of the fabulous pumpkin donuts too. I also love that most of the cookies are decorated to match the seasons. I will admit that I'm struck by sticker shock every time I get to the cash register, but when I take the first bite I forget all about it. There just is no alternative to Cinotti's!

David M.

Yelp
One of the most overrated spots in Jax, if not the holder of that crown. I had heard a lot about the donuts, especially the seasonal pumpkin ones (which I tried last year, just to make it clear for all those astroturfed reviews being posted. Morons.) After a couple of visits, I was amazed that people come here for the donuts. They are incredibly greasy -- the pumpkin ones have a little spice flavor at least, but the others just tastes like fryer oil. The other baked goods are just standard Italian bakery fare, with the addition of way, way too much frosting on most everything. Add in the terrible coffee, unfriendly service, and the flagrant ignoring of basic health and safety protections (which the ownership proudly flaunts on social media, in addition to other unsavory topics), and this is a hard pass.
