This quaint bistrot located centrally in Ponte neighborhood of Rome is the perfect date spot for lunch or dinner. The warm atmosphere is cozy and intimate. The service friendly and prompt throughout.
Nice selection of wines. Food menu may seem small in selection however based on the selection of dishes we tried, the items offered are bursting with taste and flavor. We started with SMOKED FISH CROSTINI... with a cucumber dill cheese spread, still dreaming of the delicious flavor. Next, we shared the BURRATA... which was served on a bed of greens, red cabbage, a delicious light vinaigrette dressing, and topped with a prosciutto crisp. We also shared the OCTOPUS, *my must order dish anytime I see it on the menu*... this one was one of the best I've had in Rome. Perfectly cooked inside with a crisp outside, paired perfectly with the puréed squash & potatoes it was served with.
No reservations accepted for lunch... recommend coming at, if not close to, opening time to hopefully endure no wait time.
Little bit about the owners, we learned during our time dining, like I said they were very kind and friendly...though not originally Roman or even Italian, they have lived in Rome for about 20 years and this spot has been open about 2-3 years. Highly recommend this place for tourists and locals.
