"A small restaurant which combines a contemporary feel with a hint of vintage style in its decor. The menu is inspired by Roman and regional traditions, with the occasional imaginative twist and other more Mediterranean-inspired dishes, all showing a strong focus on seasonal ingredients. The impressive wine list includes an excellent selection of regional wines, with a particular focus on wines by the glass. Friendly yet professional service from the young team completes the picture." - Michelin Inspector

What an amazing experience dining at CiPASSO. Will highly recomend to anyone visiting Rome. We booked a table with them for 6 people for a celebration while we were in Rome. They offered us a table in a private setting, which was very nice and suited us really well. The staff were very nice and attentive, checking regularly if everything was okay and to our liking. The food was amazing. We had the scallops and crispy eggs as starters, along with a basket of bread. The scallops was a standout for me personally. Then everyone had a pasta for the main course, the parpadelle and duck, lobster linguine and the black truffle tagliolini. Since white truffles were in season we were offered to swap out the black truffles for the white truffles. We opted for that in one of the courses and it certainly did not dissapoint. We also had some wonderful sides and desserts. We all found it hard to pick one favorite since everything was to our liking. This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant from our visit to Rome.

So good 3 years ago. And yet tonight was even better. Make a reservation since there is a reason this restaurant is popular. Reasonable prices for excellent quality and depth of flavor along with great presentation. Thank you to our outstanding server, Adrianne along with the entire CiPasso team. We are grateful to all of you in making our evening at CiPasso one of the most memorable nights on our visit. Arrivederci!

The food was incredible! The antipasti was so good, and the pasta was just wow. Its hard to portray how good it was! The tiramisu was the first in our trip, and it set the bar with how light and fluffy it tasted. Our server was also really fun and added to our experience.

Google
Every meal at CiPASSO was absolutely perfect — 5 out of 5 for both taste and presentation. Each dish looked beautiful and tasted even better. The pasta was fresh and full of rich Italian flavor, and the meat was tender and cooked just right. I actually found this restaurant through the Michelin Guide app, and after dining here, I can totally see why it’s featured. The quality and attention to detail make it feel like a place that truly deserves a Michelin star in the future. The service was so lovely and warm. The staff were friendly, helpful, and took the time to explain the dishes. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant — perfect for a relaxing dinner in the heart of Rome. Every plate was like a little piece of art, and everything we tried was delicious from start to finish. It’s rare to find a restaurant where food, service, and atmosphere all come together so perfectly. When I visit Rome again, I’ll definitely come back to CiPASSO. It’s an unforgettable experience and one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing Lunch! The food is really refined and very nicely presented. Our waiter Robinson was an amazing host and his local wine recommendation was spot on to our choice of dishes. We can highly recommend and would go back for sure!

Google
A perfect Roman lunch We visited CiPASSO with our two kids and had a wonderful lunch. Every dish was cooked with love, you can taste the quality and care. The artichokes were incredible, and the truffle dishes absolutely delicious. Sitting outside made it even more enjoyable. Thank you to the team for a lovely experience!

Google
One of our best dining experiences in Rome. After being a bit underwhelmed with food elsewhere, our hopes were high at Cipasso. They definitely delivered! We had the lobster pasta and the octopus, along with tiramisu and a delicious local white wine. The service was great. We were seated outside, with heaters which were a nice touch. Highly recommend making a reservations as they were turning people away who didn’t have one.

We were so lucky to get a table at this amazing restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely next level — every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Truly an unforgettable dining experience!

Yelp
Perfecto- From the ambience, service, and of course, the Michelin Star-award winning food. The type of food that you still talk about and recommend to all who ask.

Yelp
Wonderful escape from all the tourist trap restaurants. Service was exceptional, ambiance was relaxed. We got seated for dinner without a reservation The specials were great, but the Monkfish and Truffles stole the show. Highly recommend

Yelp
10/10 experience all around. Food & service were exceptional. They offer a nice diversity of dishes and were able to provide excellent Recommendations . Everything was spot on, including the wine and dessert.

Yelp
We had gotten a reservation before getting to Rome and it was a great find! I tried the gluten-free beef ragu, and it was a different take on ragu, but it was delicious! The gluten-free pasta was just as good as regular pasta. I also tried the meatballs which were really flavorful. We got tiramisu for dessert and it was one of the best ones we had our whole trip! So much coffee flavor! The staff was helpful and attentive. The only minor issue was that it was very warm in the restaurant, but it is definitely still worth visiting!

Yelp
One of our absolute fave spots here! The talk of the town the whole trip too!!! The truffle on the pasta was unreal. We also got one of the other ravioli dishes. Wine here is always good and I love that they gave us recs on what to get. The server was very friendly and helpful with decisions.

Yelp
Exquisite decor and last meal worthy. I came by myself and had a delightful and delicious experience. Five star service and the food just melted in my mouth. I had the pumpkin Tortoli and the squid with a salad. So much food but too good to not finish. Would recommend to everyone. I came by myself with no reservation and they were so nice and were able to fit me in and boy am I glad.

Yelp
Incredible food, service, ambience, all the things. The crispy egg was fantastic (thank you, Adriana for the recommendation!) as was the ricotta mousse pear dessert. Was recommended by a friend and have to agree - best meal in Rome. Booking a reservation was also very easy - we called and then communicated a bit on WhatsApp. Allora, thank you so much for a lovely evening!!!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Very cute restaurant and great atmosphere. Incredibly kind staff and impeccable service. Food was outstanding! The truffle pasta is a must try. They also have non-alcoholic bottles of wine.

Yelp
Great restaurant! Excellent food, great service, and a gem in Rome. The truffle crostino, black truffle taglioni, amatriciana, buratta dish w tomato base all excellent. I have had some hits and some misses in my many times out in Rome, this was a hit!

Yelp
The service is absolutely amazing. Followed by amazing food, I don't know what more you can ask for.

Yelp
We made a reservation for our one night in Rome. There were so many options but I'm so glad we ended up here. They had a nice dining room but we chose to sit outside bc they had heat lamps. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list. We had such a hard time picking what to eat but we went with the meat Ragu with picci pasta, pumpkin ravioli, meatballs and bread with pecorino. OMG so delicious, the flavors and textures were on point. For our first meal in Italy it did not disappoint. My husband still talks about the pasta until this day. It was so flavorful and the freshness of the tomatoes in the sauce was amazing. The ravioli also delicious. Rome did not disappoint!

Yelp
We were in Rome for two nights and I saw how highly rate on TripAdvisor Cipasso Bistrot was, and also saw it mentioned on the Michelin Guide website as well, so I figured it had to be good and we needed to try it while we were visiting Rome! We made a reservation online and they reconfirmed their available date and time slots via WhatsApp. They were able to accommodate our time within I believe a 30 minute window. The restaurant is very small so I recommend booking in advance. We made our reservation about a month or two in advance. We arrived for our dinner time about 15 minutes prior to the reservation time and they had our table ready and we were warmly greeted by a manager and shown to our table. For drinks, they have wine by the glass and the bottle. I recommend ordering by the bottle, I believe the most expensive bottle was around 30 euros. The wine by the glass was between 10 and 15 euros. We ordered a bottle of white wine, I can't remember which one, but it was outstanding! For appetizers, we ordered the Crostino Cacao e Pepe (9.50 euros) and it included two pieces of bread with cheese and toppings and it was outstanding! For entrees, my husband and I both ordered the Pappardelle and Duck (18 euros each) and it was outstanding, tons of flavor and a nice portion! A true highlight of the meal! We finished with an apple crumble that I believe was around 9 or 10 euros and was also outstanding! They also brought some homemade cookies on the house to close the meal as well. Service and food were outstanding and I highly recommend!

Yelp
We have been in many cities in Italy over the last 10 days and this meal was our favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious. The neighborhood is also very charming. Our server was Adrianna and she was very knowledgeable about wine and the ingredients in the dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Food 9/10 The "al dente-ness" of the pasta really bumped up the points here, but the amount of flavoring bumped down the points. Every single pasta dish was incredible in its own way, the combinations of meats and sauces were amazing, and the texture was perfect. The only issue was I had to keep on adding salt and pepper to each one because it just wasn't seasoned enough unfortunately. Nevertheless, the burrata was really unique with anchovies and the beef carpaccio was SO GOOD. Super tender and fresh. Atmosphere 9/10 Loved the dim warm lighting inside. We came around 10pm, and the restaurant was still bustling. Cozy ambiance, a little rustic, and the plates were absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to take every single one of them home with me. Service 8/10 Good service, nothing to complain about :) Everything came out quite quickly, and they always made sure we had water on the table.

Yelp
Nice and cozy, reservation definitely recommended otherwise you may be out of luck depending on standby waitlist. The menu is rather short. But service was good and attentive. The execution of every dish was very good with some better than others. The burrata for an example was excellent but 5.50 euro extra for the tiny mullets seemed a bit much. The pasta dishes were very amazing with a good texture. We didn't order a tiramisu but saw another table did and it seemed like the creamier type which we don't like as we prefer our tiramisu more eggy. Overall it's a great restaurant that I would recommend if you're in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way specifically for.

Yelp
To start off we made reservations. We wanted to change them and were told we only had a two hour time slot so if we moved them later we would have less time to eat. We also had asked if there was a dress codes we were told shorts were a no and that we should not wear t-shirts. We showed up and we're promptly greeted by the hostess and stay down next to a table of two that just starred at us the entire meal. We were dressed in a nice shirt and pants. The man was dressed in shorts. Almost every single man and some women we saw get seated were just wearing casual attire. Shorts and a t-shirt. It was 90 degrees out and we both would have rather worn shorts . Anyways . We ordered a little bit of food as we honestly were not that hungry. We got the meat and cheese board first and a bottle of Moscato. The meat was good to me the cheese wasn't my type of cheese as it was from a goat a sheep and a cow ( three different ones) but all local . I ordered meatballs and he ordered a ricotta ravioli. The meatballs were ok but they really lacked flavor in them even just a hint of salt. The ravioli tasted good . All in all it was just an ok meal and especially for a place being a Micheline star mention i really expected more

Yelp
It was simple to get a reservation here for lunch, but there was honestly a decent amount of space for a walk-in party as well. It feels very home-y inside but also chic. The service was super nice and they were accommodating for a vegan diet as well (off-menu). They made a spaghetti pomodoro as a vegan dish and also removed some unfriendly vegan things from other dishes. Complimentary olives at the start was also a nice touch. Cacio e Pepe Crostino (€9) - this comes with two pieces, which makes it perfect for sharing. The sauce is pretty thick/heavy but delicious and tastes just like cacio e Pepe. Super filling appetizer. Amatriciana al Cesanese (€14.50) - delicious, bacon was perfectly crispy. This was also super filling and a good portion size. Pasta cooked perfectly to al dente.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible! The food was the best we've had in Rome. The staff were kind and helpful (especially with their wine suggestions). We were looking for something that wasn't as touristy, and this was truly special! We're may go back tomorrow because it was seriously that good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Such an amazing meal great service! I will definitely be back! Thankyou for being my best meal in Italy so far! And best burrata I have ever had and top 3 beef tartar dishes I've tried!

Yelp
I think they are overpriced although the food was pretty good. Since we found another good one and cheaper and we probably won't be back to visit this one.

Yelp
Fabulous service from Daniele. The food was amazing from the suckling pig to the beef tartare finishing with the tiramisu. I would highly recommend for a special night as it is a little pricey but worth every cent!!

Yelp
EXCELLENT!! There are over 10,000 restaurants in Rome. CiPasso is currently ranked at #14. The service, the food, the ambiance and wine was just perfect! Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered: burrata cheese with the tomato tartine truffle pasta Duck pasta Meatballs Highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Hands down the best pasta Ive ever had! This place deserves a Michelin star. 10000/10

Lisa S.

Yelp
My husband and I took our college-aged kids with celiac to Italy for vacation. While there, we celebrated our 25th anniversary -- just the two of us -- at CiPasso, where we didn't have to worry about GF options for the kids (though I saw there was GF pasta available; I don't know what precautions, if any, are taken). This was one of the best meals we had on our trip. Everything was delicious! We especially loved the burrata appetizer with tomato pudding.

Yelp
This quaint bistrot located centrally in Ponte neighborhood of Rome is the perfect date spot for lunch or dinner. The warm atmosphere is cozy and intimate. The service friendly and prompt throughout. Nice selection of wines. Food menu may seem small in selection however based on the selection of dishes we tried, the items offered are bursting with taste and flavor. We started with SMOKED FISH CROSTINI... with a cucumber dill cheese spread, still dreaming of the delicious flavor. Next, we shared the BURRATA... which was served on a bed of greens, red cabbage, a delicious light vinaigrette dressing, and topped with a prosciutto crisp. We also shared the OCTOPUS, *my must order dish anytime I see it on the menu*... this one was one of the best I've had in Rome. Perfectly cooked inside with a crisp outside, paired perfectly with the puréed squash & potatoes it was served with. No reservations accepted for lunch... recommend coming at, if not close to, opening time to hopefully endure no wait time. Little bit about the owners, we learned during our time dining, like I said they were very kind and friendly...though not originally Roman or even Italian, they have lived in Rome for about 20 years and this spot has been open about 2-3 years. Highly recommend this place for tourists and locals.

Yelp
Michelin rated restaurant & I got the white truffle, Dee got black truffle pasta. More expensive I wanted to pay for the $54 euros white truffle but ok to spoil myself a bit. I had some red wine with it to pair & was great

Yelp
One of my favorites in Rome! A very helpful staff that spoke English, and an easy reservation system.

Yelp
We had a wonderful and extremely delicious meal at CiPasso. The Chef's burrata was the most tasty I've ever had, and the pasta was divine. Full of flavor but not overwhelmingly so. Our service was impeccable. Nice outdoor seating and easy to make a reservation. Highly recommend! P.S. CiPasso, if you read this, our server was a very nice man with a cool lip piercing (didn't catch his name). Yes him- GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. Best server I've ever had in my life.

Yelp
CiPasso is such a lovely restaurant -- a must drop in for great food if you're in the area!! A must try from us is the Cacio e Pepe crostini (toast). I've never had anything similar to this in the states, and the restaurant is known for its crostini so at the very least, try some type of variation of it. The Cacio e Pepe crostini particularly is topped with a creamy Cacio e Pepe sauce, with two slices of pears sprinkled with walnuts. One bite into the toast gives you a taste of the perfect harmony between creamy and sweet. For pasta, I recommend anything with a tomato based sauce since the tomatoes in Italy are out of the world! However, the Cacio e Pepe ravioli was also really tasty as well. The restaurant is also known for its slow cooked meatballs so if you have room, definitely try that out. Definitely drop by here for some tasty Italian cuisine!! The restaurant has a beautiful ambience for dining and it's perfect for a date night or any other type of occasion.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Food was just ok. I had a special they said was a seafood special but expected a variety of shellfish. It was underwhelming in flavor. Hubby had a ravioli dish that was ok as well. Overall nothing memorable, but as stated, ok. Service was fast.

Amanda B.

Yelp
4.5/5 stars for me! My husband and I had a really great experience at this restaurant and became friends with the couple next to us. We started with a great salad and cacio e Pepe ravioli. For our mains we split the octopus and meatballs with a side of spinach. Gosh, I really loved everything and I'd return!

Jamie S.

Yelp
Best dinner in Rome! Everything was amazing and so thoughtfully executed. We had the scallop appetizer, which was the perfect small start and bursting with flavor from the scallop, whipped potato and candied orange. Next was pasta cacio de Pepe and the seafood linguine, both perfectly cooked and flavored. Then we had roasted baby pig whcih was delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and would love to go back

Yelp
My daughter and I were both starving after our guided tour at the Vatican. Did a quick search on Google and decided to dine here. The carbonara and saltimbocca were tasty and delicious.

Yelp
Wonderful place! They are pretty small and very popular so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. But you will not be disappointed! The food is marvelous and the service is even better. We are writing this review as we are finishing our dessert lol. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Nothing but good things to say about this place! I made reservations a couple weeks and advance and got right in at my reserved time. Food was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! The environment was perfect and the staff was very nice! I will be back next time I visit!

Yelp
Let me preface my review by saying I'd normally award this a 4 (based on liquor menu), but giving it a 5 star based on comparison to other local restaurants. Overall we enjoyed the meal and ambiance, and was a breath of fresh air/taste compared to the typical Italian eateries around. Service was great--also a step out from others nearby. That said, we were disappointed by the lack of cocktails and white wine list, in addition to prices (7-9€ for a glass of white; 8-9€ for an aperol spritz). Pricing was middle range, and waiting times were ~1hr for a table, but worth the wait if you have time. For dinner we had the Truffle with pecorino crostini (partner loved; lots of truffle), cous cous with citrus and tuna (cold dish; great flavour; very fresh), cod with spinach (loved! Such great flavours) and panna cotta with berry compote (great taste and balance). Portions are very reasonable. The server was spot on in recommending how many dishes to order. Saved us from ordering far too much food! If you don't want to wait, I'd recommend going before 1900 or after 2100. Note they're open near all day long. Seating is very limited.

Yelp
This is the most romantic restaurant my boyfriend and I went to in Italy. We walked quite a bit from our hotel to get here. When we walked up, I thought I walked into a scene from a painting. The outside of this restaurant was incredibly charming. It was covered in ivy, warmly lit, and had bikes sitting outside. The inside was great. It felt like we were in our own world. The seating is very limited, so it's a very intimate and quiet atmosphere. I honestly don't remember which bottle of wine we ordered, but it was delicious. We also ordered a meat and cheese plate. The most memorable part of the experience to me was the chocolate and cognac with enjoyed. You must visit this restaurant on your trip to Rome, especially at night.

Yelp
I have passed by this restaurant when I was in Rome and we decided To try this place. The restaurant is very cozy and cute. Staff a d owner are very friendly and nice and the service was pretty good. I order the chicken salad And my husband ordered Mortadella crostini which is a bigger portion off bruschetta. The interesting part is that they don't use Mayo in their salad, instead they use the fresh greek yogurt. Their olives were to die for, which They brought in a small bowl before our meal with cuts of toasted bread and it's complementary. Definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner. The variAlso, it is Conveniently located in the middle of the whole Historical side of Rome, kinda close to Vaticano. If you are using City Sightseeing red bus, you need to get off at 6th station and walk to this place.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible meal. The service was great, have nothing bad to say. Already can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Lovely local restaurant with a decent selection of wine and food a bit busy and under staffs.

Yelp
My family of four (including two teenage girls) went here for lunch. We got a lovely bottle of wine, the meat plate and a separate cheese plate. It was a perfect amount for a light lunch. Everything was very tasty and the service was great! The waiter was very attentive.

Theresa G.

Yelp
Our best meal in Italy. Everything was delicious..truffle pasta and crostini, cacio e pepe crostini, desserts. Highly recommend this place.

Joe P.

Yelp
I'm not sure if it was because it wasn't crowded (due to Covid) but when I booked a table for 6, I was shocked to see that we got a separate room to ourselves. It was a lovely, quiet dinner with just the 6 of us. The service and the food was spectacular!
google avatar

Paul F.

Yelp
Fantastic intimate choice for dinner and a glass of wine. Excellent service. Small dining room (only 6 tables). No reservations. Totally worth any wait you have to endure. Loved the food and the overall vibe of this spot.

Joseph L.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best places we ate in Rome. The service was outstanding. We had the burrata and the cacio de pepe ravioli among other things. They were AMAZING. The prices are reasonable for the great quality. Make a reservation. It is worth the visit.
