12 Ways to #OptOutside in Philadelphia, According to Restaurateurs | Eater

"One of the best outdoorsy spots in the city is actually 12 stories above the sidewalk. Cira Green is an urban park in the sky, built on the roof of a parking garage. Lush green grass makes the perfect spot for a chilled-out midday picnic; you can shop for metal or silicone drinking straws and a chic reusable picnic basket at Kitchen Kapers, the city’s favorite spot for innovative cooking and eating items. John suggests picking up cinnamon rolls or a couple kouign-amann from the nearby Walnut Street Cafe before grabbing one of the tables and checking out the unimpeded skyline views. John’s other suggestion: Stop by at night for the free movie screenings." - Vox Creative

Family friendly. We came here for movie night! So cool they have these events in the summer. There are still plenty of movies left to watch in the next few weeks. The view is amazing and it's relaxing. They sell food and sell beer. You can also bring your own food and drink. The movie screen is huge and the sound system is nice. The only downfall is that they had a tent up and it obstructed your view from most of the seating areas so you were only left sitting on the slopes which could be nice but also could be uncomfortable for some. Either way we made the best of it. I hope they take the tent down. Definitely worth checking out.

Very cute place, would benefit from having a few more gates for dogs. Dogs must be on a leash but that didn’t appear to be strictly enforced, a dog walked down the ramp to leave! Make sure your dog is leashed because there is opportunity for them to leave easily. Overall very cute and clean!

Cira Green is a smallish but amazing, lush spectacle atop, of all places, an 11-story parking structure in downtown Philly. The lawns are thick and green. I have an amazing sense in the Cira Green.

Free public space to enjoy 11 stories above Philly. Watching the sunset on here is amazing as it turns into night time and the city glows. It’s a great spot to have engagement photos and even hold your wedding ceremony at!

Free public space to enjoy 11 stories above Philly. Watching the sunset on here is amazing and I love the games they have to play on the lawn. Food, drink, and bathrooms available for use.

The place is amazing. The view extra super. It's better to be there on a sunny day though. I wish there were a coffee shop and restrooms up there. But when you get down you can have amazing sweets in the Maison Sweet on the corner.

1st time visit and I was amazed! A park on a roof top, who would have thought of that. Opportunity for events, movie night and a great view. Worth the elevator ride up or stairs if you choose.

Awesome spot. Great place to spend an inmate outing or for the whole family. Space for a blanket and a picnic, but I'm sure it can get pretty crowded on a nice day. Open to the public and free of charge. So just catch the elevator up and enjoy
