A Sports Bar With $5 ‘Wiz Wings’ Just Moved In to Circa Chinatown - Eater DC

"Circa Chinatown, located at 781 Seventh Street NW, opened in February in the space formerly occupied by Zengo. The venue recently launched Dragon Bar to attract fans of the Washington Wizards and the Capitals, who play next door at Capital One Arena. Dragon Bar offers $5 bites, $5 draft beers ($1.50 extra for 20-ounce pours), $7 glasses of wine, and $8 featured cocktails daily from 4 p.m. to close. The renovation included 15 hand-painted portraits of local sports stars. The upstairs remains as Circa's casual bistro." - Tierney Plumb

Largest Circa to Date Debuts in Chinatown on February 21 - Eater DC

"The new two-story Circa scheduled to debut on Wednesday, February 21 in Chinatown is the homegrown chain’s biggest location to date. The Chinatown restaurant is spread across 7,000 square feet upstairs and 1,600 square feet on the ground level, a fully renovated space that includes multiple bars (one on each floor), ample seating, and eye-catching views of the surrounding area. Drinks on the opening menu include drafts of Blue Point Brewing Company’s Toasted Lager, a seasonal offering from local producer Flying Dog Brewery, and specialty cocktails such as the Roseberry Smash (made with fresh fruit) and the turmeric-spiked Treat Yo Self. Featured menu items range from trendy tuna poke nachos and bulgogi lettuce wraps to blackened chicken-cashew salads and Asian-style rice bowls. The Chinatown restaurant is projected to serve lunch and dinner seven days a week." - Rebecca Gale

Came here recently for some pre game Wizards food and drinks. The happy hour specials are no joke. Priced very reasonably in the DC area especially in Chinatown. My friends and I had the arugula with mushroom flatbread, tuna poke nachos, margherita pizza and some beers on tap. The flatbreads are delicious and they have a nice variety for all flavor profiles. This place is packed from 5-7 PM so do expect it to be a crammed space by the main bar. I'm a fan of the Circa chain and have been to 2 other locations. Glad this one has great specials because I'll definitely be back to try their brunch menu

By far one of the best restaurants in DC. My blackened salmon was excellent not dry and cooked to perfection along with the cauliflower flower mashed potatoes and the brussels sprouts with blue cheese. To die for! Going back to try something new.

The facelift provided to this place from the former Zengo layout to current is amazing. The flavors in the food was perfect. The crabcake had a hint of spice, that gave them a little kick. If you are a person like myself that has to be visually drawn in by food before you can eat it, then this place is for you. The plates were well plated. The crabcakes were a little smaller than expected compared to other places in the area that are about on the same scale. However, I was provided with an additional crabcake. The pickles on the plate tasted as if they were done in house and were perfectly flavored. The service was very attentive and amazing across the board. The menu was a little displacing but had something for everyone and I appreciated the inclusiveness of it. If you are looking for a location that is stunning to the eye, good energy vibe, and great service. At the end the check came fast and the prices were very reasonable. This is a highly recommended place! I will be back to try the happy hour with my team soon.

Came to CIRCA for happy hour on a Thursday, and they have these delicious Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps for $2 each! They also have other happy hour deals, but I only ordered the lettuce wraps. The good: The Bulgogi Lettuce Wrap was delicious! It contains marainted short rib, bibb lettuce, sticky rice, kimchi aioli, chopped peanuts, and micro cilantro. The sauce was creamy, and I enjoyed the savory beef, and all the ingredients well really well together! Will definitely come back to order more. The bad: The server should have been a bit more clear because he said the whole dish was $2, and not $2 each. Even though the deal sounded too good to be true, it is a Thursday only deal, so I just went along with it without asking for clarification until I received the bill. Overall, I really enjoyed the Bulgogi Lettuce Wrap, and I'll be returning just to eat more of this! Definitely worth it for $2 each!

The food was pretty tasty, although maybe a little overpriced. I did not like the Bellini I ordered but that’s because I don’t really like the taste of alcohol and it was very alcoholic (so maybe that would be a plus for other people). The eggs Benedict I ordered was pretty good, except there were weird sharp shards in the crab cake that I attributed to coating or idk bone (??) that I didn’t super mind but still noticed. We also ordered dessert and it was kind of expensive but also very tasty! We ordered some kind of layered cake trifle thing and it was very good.

The staff and servers turned this birthday brunch into a memorable event. I called ahead and explained my friend had food allergies and they had a special menu printed. She loved it and the food was very tasty.
