Tempe Police Will Not Pull Over Good Drivers for Free Coffee | Eater

"A local TV report said police in Tempe would pull over law-abiding drivers to hand out coupons for a free drink at a convenience store, sparking immediate backlash over possible Fourth Amendment violations and the traumatic risk such stops pose for people of color. Police later clarified they would not be initiating traffic stops but would instead approach people on foot to talk about traffic laws. Critics noted this kind of stunt echoes past 'positive ticketing' pranks and fails to address systemic disparities — Black and Hispanic drivers are stopped, searched, and arrested at higher rates and have sometimes been shot after following officers' instructions — so a free beverage was widely viewed as inadequate. Disappointed again. The Circle K app says that breakfast burritos are available here but there's not even a kitchen here. Once again striking out in my quest for Sunday morning breakfast burritos. This is starting to feel like a conspiracy. One store suggested that Sunday mornings aren't profitable for the kitchens. I wish Circle K would post hours and days their kitchens are open, because I really like the pricing, quality and convenience otherwise.

I visited this location in early December and Brittany was the clerk. She was very rude, continued a conversation with her group of friends who she had visiting her while there was a long line, rather than acknowledging me or other guests, and her direct interaction with me was condescending. I figured everyone deserves to have a bad day and I figured that was it. Yesterday, I again visited and Brittany was the clerk. This visit was even worse than the prior one, with her rudeness, non-acknowledgement, and again, she had friends in the store visiting her and their conversation took precedence over helping me and the other guests who were waiting in line. Her communication was rude and short and rather than handing me back my ID that I handed her, she tossed it at me, on the counter. Clearly this is a pattern with Brittany. She’s very unhappy with her job and cannot even find it in herself to do the bare minimums of her role. What a poor representation of this store. Management should take this as an opportunity to help Brittany with some much-needed customer service training. What a horrible experience. I recommend visiting the QT, up the road East on Broadway. They’re always so friendly, and you don’t have to put up with any scorned employees like Brittany.

Don’t understand .Was sold reduce copper card but not reloadable went back to try to reload it and I had to purchase a new card which is double the amount of a full pass this is unacceptable. Why would they sell me a card if it can’t be reloaded

I was still going here for the decent rewards. I walked in with 5 of 5 on the beverage club. They both charged me for my beverage, took the free 6th drink credit, and charged me more than usual for the rest. I just discovered when I also paid for my beverage this afternoon, and it said 1 of 5. I'm done with Circle K. This place is usually dirty AF, too. I clearly communicated the scenario with each employee today. Nobody gives AF. Their system is slow and broken. I'm a little stressed berry time I go there. Enough is enough. QT from now on.

AJ was such a life saver. Was out running errands on my way home, which is around the corner, two other stores were out of DR.Peper Sadness being to fill when this store, too, was out. Defeated, we started to head out. Then AJ swooped in and said "wait let me see if I have more." We left so happy with fresh from the tap DR.Peper. Real customer. 😃🤩 Honestly, everyone who has been there a minute is wonderful. We have a closer branch, but We mainly come here or the other on Broadway. Thank you.

This store is a very busy store but is run by the friendliest crew. I come in everyday and I get greeted right away.on night shift the store is clean and we'll stocked.

Staff friendly but nothing is clean right. Store smelled like dirty mop water. Which they had a mop bucket filled with dirty water by the restrooms. Men's room toilet dirty. Microwave not clean. Everything done sub par. Circle K is supposed to be better than that. I say this not as a customer but also a former employee. We we're trained better. Your not supposed to have people visit you while working. Just saying, hope this gets fixed. Sincerely, A loyal customer

I have been coming to the Circle K for years, and there’s been a lot of good employees there. I even trained at store 2703379 once before. Kevin D the young man goes that goes to ASU has been one of the most sincerest. I really think you need to hire more like him that actually cares about the community and the Circle K Way. This is such a nice Circle K! I ended up here after 2 gross Circle Ks, and was surprised to find this nice new fully stocked clean Circle K tucked away here. The manager was so nice when I told him the store was very nice and you could tell he cared about the condition of the store and customer experience.

Don't put a sign on the door that says be back at 655p and it's 745p and the store is still closed. Hope they give change better than they can tell time.

507 W Broadway Rd Tempe, AZ 85282 United States $600 in pending authorizations on my credit card! This place refuses to pump more than $100 in gas b/c I had .70 off per gallon in Fry's points. Instead of telling me that it's because I'm using $.70 off a gallon in Frys points you're telling me you're low on gas. Meanwhile the there's people all around me pumping diesel . attendant rings my card up 3 times for a total of $600. I leave completely disappointed and without any gas. And she contacted the supervisor Sydney who refused to do anything about it. All i Get is a "sorry". Fry's gas station on Mill and Southern no problem filling my tank up. No problem sticking to the rules of redeeming Frys points. You guys should be sued for not complying with the rules of redemption on Frys points. You are participating location and scamming the public! This is the second time this is happened to me.

I come in everyday with MY scooter that I bought with my own money, and I sit the scooter by the door so that it doesnt get stolen if left outside. This really rude, and let it be known she was UGLY, lady behind the counter told me that I had to leave it outside. My issue is that ive been coming to this circle K for months with NOT ONE PERSON telling me this rule, and she was extremely rude about it. I bit my tongue and just left without a fuss but she is really lucky that I was running late for work. I normally make time to argue, but you got real lucky. Maybe EVERYONE should be enforcing this rule, not just 1 neanderthal on a hot ass Monday.

I got done working pretty late and stopped into the store to grab some snacks instead of dinner. When I walked in, the attendant, for some reason, was extremely rude to me.. I don't know why, I didn't say anything bad to him. I think I said like "how's everything going tonight" just to be polite and he was just fucking rude. I just chalked it up to somebody that can't stand their job and didn't want to be working.. I went about the store choosing my items.. some milk, eggnog, a sandwich, a candy bar, and a water. I didn't realize they had self check out at gas stations and this is the first time I've ever seen one, so I was kind of surprised when I got to the counter that they were all closed, so he kind of yells at me a little bit... you gotta go over there!! I still couldn't see where I was supposed to ring myself up, so he showed me a little bit.. ok, easy enough. I bid him good night, and I went on my way. I live around the corner so after about an hour of watching TV, I pour myself a glass of milk and as soon as it hits my tongue, I realize it's fucking rotten.. rancid. I checked the date it says something like December 13 or something like that.. it's only Nov 18, so it's a bit surprising.. must be that they left it out somewhere along the line and it got rotten. No problem.. it's now 3am. It takes me two minutes to drive back over there. There are two people waiting outside, obviously homeless people, that are grumbling and complaining that he won't open the door. I look inside, and I see the same gentleman label facing the sodas. There's a sign on the door that says will be back at 2:30.. it's 3am. The employee turns around to look at the front door and he sees me out there, and I show him the milk and I give him a signal that the milk is bad and I need to replace it. He says something to me, but I can't tell what the hell he says... All I know is that he went right back to facing the fucking cooler for 15 to 20 more minutes. then he walks in the back and doesn't return. Now this piece of shit knows that I'm standing out there waiting patiently. You'd think that he would just grab a different milk and bring it over to the door, unlock the door and hand it to me. Nope, that's not what these worthless employees do these days. They hate their fucking jobs even though they're paid five times what they should be getting paid. I leave after 20 minutes of standing out in the cold. I'll call the GM in the morning and let them know what I think of their store, more importantly, their employees.

I go to this circle k a lot since it's close by. It's the newer updated ones with a big selection of drinks and a walk in fridge for a lot of beer. Other than that is a circle k. I give it 3 stars cause it's big and cleaner than most.
