Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises

We were pretty lucky with the weather but despite this watrer conditions did not allow the boat to do a full circle around Manhattan. Frankly this was really only a minor issue and we got some excellent views of the city and really appreciated the knowledgeable commentary. Definitely one of the best parts of our visit to New York

A good tour of the Hudson. Unfortunately they closed the bridge and we could not do the full loop of Manhattan Island. We did get to see half. The fellow on the microphone was very informative but does need to cut it back as he overdoes the talking. It would be great if he spoke for 10 minutes and then gave us a break for 10 minutes. Just a little too over the top. The boat was a good size, with a bar and some food. If you want ckear photos, the best area to sit is upstairs out the back. The windows are very salty, doesn't allow for nice clear photos. We enjoyed our trip even though the temp was -18f out on the deck we could warm up inside in the heated cabin.

This was one of my favorite experiences on our first visit to NYC! We did the two hour cruise all the way around Manhattan. Somehow there weren't many people on our trip and we pretty much hung at the front of the boat the whole time, snagging awesome pictures and a great breeze. Great view of the Statue of Liberty from the water, the skyline, all the different bridges, etc. Very informational guide speaking throughout the cruise. There is a bathroom and refreshments for purchase. This was an excellent touristy thing to do. Loved it!

We got lucky and came on an unseasonably warm, gorgeous November day. Weekdays are definitely the way to go. There were a lot of people, but nowhere near capacity. It was easy to get rail space out front to let the wind blow the spray in your face and really enjoy the experience. The trip around Manhattan gives a very unique perspective on the city that you can only get from this type of cruise. Grab a hot dog and a drink and soak up some sights and learn about New York. The guide was great. He told lots of stories and shared lots of facts, but also left quiet time so you could just soak it in. By the time you travel to the pier and do the 2+ hours, it’s a major commitment of vacation time. Worth every bit of it, and cheap considering what you get. Go, do it, take a cruise.

Great river cruise with a very informative tour guide who was brilliant (can't remember her name but she wanted to be on 'the stage' and sang New York, New York to us). It was cold on top of the boat - Jan - so if you go wear a hat, gloves and take a blanket, but the views were great and stunning when the sun started to set. Plenty of time in the hour and a half tour to get an idea of the city and the history.

Really great way to see great views of NYC. We went at night so we had nice views of the skyline at night. You get to see the bodies, statue of liberty and New Jersey while the tour guide gives out fun facts. It's a nice leisurely activity after a long day.

A definite must try cruise. I recommend going in the night. We got on the Harbor Lights Cruise (2 hours). An amazing experience and was so worth it. Honestly during the summer it’d be even better! I must give a shout out to our tour guide Alexis. She was amazing! She made the whole tour really enjoyable, she has great humour and is very knowledgeable about the whole city! I learnt so much! During winter it’s quite cold outside but they do have seating inside where it’s nice and cozy, I sat outside for a while to enjoy the views and it was breath taking. $$ : if ur exploring more things in the city I recommend getting the go city pass. They have all inclusive passes and limited attraction passes. You can get 2 attractions for 84$ etc. This cruise and many more circle line cruises are included in that pass so you will definitely be saving a few bucks that way!

Amazing sightseeing cruise. The harbor light tour at night was spectacular. The tour guide was very informative, personable, and funny. The premier seats are worth it in the colder months as you can walk outside and come back to your seat inside, plus you get a cool booklet.
