I personally think this is one of the most decent Japanese restaurants in Atlanta. If you order the omakase don or omakase nigiri, the chef curates the meal using the freshest fish of the day. In addition to the standard soy sauce, they provide two other types of house sauces, which adds a nice touch. The food here is served in appropriate portions and well-chosen dishware, with a clean and appetizing presentation. I especially appreciate that they provide just the right amount of pickled ginger and fresh wasabi—unlike many other places that tend to overdo it. Everything feels thoughtfully measured to match the sushi and sashimi. For appetizers, I recommend the croquette or soft shell crab. The sauce for the soft shell crab, thickened with mushrooms and potato starch, is especially delicious. And for dessert, the matcha mousse. The mousse is one of their most popular items, so it’s often sold out—worth asking for early!

Google
The omakase here is really fresh and definitely worth trying. The fish changes daily and everything I had was super tender and delicious. But the salmon sashimi was a letdown —not belly cut, not thick, and just didn’t taste that fresh. If you’re coming specifically for omakase, I’d still recommend it, but maybe skip the salmon sashimi.

Google
Visited with friend from DC. We ordered sashimi sampler for 2-3 people, deluxe tempura, red diamond roll and eel don. Sashimi quality is good and tasty, best of all dishes. Tempura is just okay, breading could be more crispy, portion side is small with only 3 shrimps and then few vegetables. The soft shell crab is actually cold so probably not freshly made and it is bitter. Rice in eel don is overcooked and the eel still has too much of earthy and fishy aftertaste but the dish is still acceptable. Would not recommend the signature red diamond roll, only 5 pieces but more importantly the seaweed outside does not blend it with the other increment and make it hard to chow.

Google
In my experience this is one of the best sushi place I’ve eaten in a while. All the sashimi and nigiri tasted fresh, and the rice was great as well. The rolls were delicious and the tuna carpaccio also delicious. Very satisfied with the overall food quality. The service was great and all the staff were very polite. They were not overly friendly but professional and always seemed happy to help. The atmosphere was enjoyable since it was weekend nights and rather quiet. Overall, i had great experience here and would definitely come back in the future!

Google
Great service! Misora was fast and efficient! She answered all my questions for my first time being here. Definitely will come here with family. The sweet potato tempura was my favorite. And the red bean ice cream! Thank youuu

Google
Not sure why the atmosphere of 10+ years ago felt better to me, but how many places can you say you've been going to for 20+ years? Circle Sushi is always great. If you don't know how to order sushi, ask. My date and I discussed our first times - he totally over ordered!! Anyhow, we've both refined our desire for sushi. For him always Spicy Salmon rolls, multiple with spicy mayonnaise. For me, Spider Rolls, Unagi, and a variety of fish sashimi, poke or like today Donburi. Picture of 5 Spicy Salmon rolls and my Salmon and Ikura Don. So yummy.

Google
Had the most amazing sushi date here with someone very special. The food was fresh and the service was perfect. Highly recommend

Our favorite sushi place in Atlanta. We always stop when we’re in the area and it never disappoints. The service is attentive and kind, food is delicious, carefully prepared. An authentic treat.

Yelp
I gotta spill the beans about my recent lunch at Circle Sushi--it was seriously awesome! From the moment I stepped in, the vibes were chill and the staff were super welcoming. Now, let's talk lunch. Circle Sushi ain't messin' around with their lunch game. Prices? Totally wallet-friendly. Options? Off the charts. Whether you're into sushi rolls, bento boxes, or a mix of both, Circle Sushi has got you covered. Let's dish about my fave--the spicy salmon roll. Talk about fresh! Every bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth. And don't even get me started on their bento box. It's like a mini food adventure in a box--so satisfying! Bottom line: If you're on the hunt for a killer lunch spot that won't break the bank, Circle Sushi is where it's at. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Food: BUTTERFLY IS ONLY $9 AND GOOD!!! It may look basic, but trust it's yummy. And that special roll in the omakase combo (I forgot the name) is *chefs kiss*. The nigiri and dream roll were okay. I'm taking off one star bc the total was expensive imo (except for that butterfly roll hehe) Service: standard and good. Waiter and host were pleasant. Ambiance: outside looks like ghetto w that single sign LMAO. But inside is sophisticated and clean. Guess ya can't judge a book by its cover

Yelp
My new favorite Japanese restaurant in the area! Great roomy interior, excellent service, reasonable prices, and very fresh and delicious fish sourced straight from Tokyo. We walked in around 5:45pm on a Thursday evening and were the first ones there. When we left, there were still tables open. I would definitely order the omakase sushi ($36) set again which had 5pc nigiri + 6pc roll with fatty tuna belly and tuna. The hamachi, tuna, and otoro was amazing. I was eyeing the omakase nigiri set which is $30-$40 for 5pc and ~$50 for 8pc with more elevated nigiri, but the omakase sushi option was a fantastic and delicious set. I wish the shrimp tempura was crispier, but it was still great. The dream roll was yummy because their tuna is 10/10 but I do want to try their other rolls next time. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Circle Sushi was so good! We came before there was a dinner rush. The staff was very kind and attentive, everything came out so fast. The tempura was huge considering we ordered a small size. The dream roll was great! The fish slices were gigantic! Will come back

Yelp
Fish was super fresh and delicious in the chirashi. However, portions were small. And this place had one of the worst miso soups I've ever had before. It just tasted like bland hot water. Also you only get soup or salad here instead of both. I saw mediocre other reviews for both the soup and salad so take your pick I guess. The chirashi I found very authentic. Rolls were good but small. Service was alright. Seats were packed kind of close together like I could hear neighbor's conversation like they are talking to me. Not sure I'd recommend it for a date night. I do think there are things on this menu that are authentic and delicious. The fish was good quality. There are just sushi places I like better for either the value or ambiance. There are places with better sushi or a better value. So I'd say I overall enjoyed this place and I'd return if in the area. Otherwise, I'd probably stick to other places. Would recommend if you are looking for authenticity in the area.

Yelp
LOVE THIS SPOT! The sushi here is always fresh. The service is top notch. Fast, efficient, and they are so informative about what to order. It is a small shop and they are always busy. Seems kind of like a small mom and pop shop. The sashimi slices are thick and fresh. The rolls we ordered were also great and flavorful. The seared taste on the scallop was amazing! The rolls here are on the smaller side thought but packed with flavor. There is plenty of parking located here as it is in the same plaza as a Publix. Overall, I would recommend and this place is so worth the drive for me.

Yelp
Food was a ripoff and service was subpar. What else can you say. Give us good sushi!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Have been a few times, and it is always fantastic. It's expensive, but spring for the omakase donburi--the fish is fresh and quite high quality. And, it comes with a salad/miso and dessert. The salmon/tuna/yellowtail don is also a great choice. The service for dine-in and take out are great. It's not close to where I live, but I'm always happy to make the drive!

Yelp
The portion of food is small... the most speechless thing is they control ginger so tight...! One dish max 2 ginger serve... seriously?! I've never had this ginger reject at any sushi place..

Yelp
Fantastic deal for a good meal. This place may be hard to find, but, definitely worth the trip out here. The hostess greeted us warmly and seated us quickly. We did make reservations, which I think you should, as the place does get busy quickly during peak service hours. We had a variety of dishes, Bento, Chirashi , and ChickenDon. The Bento is great for folks that want to make their own combo, and try a few different thing. I picked Grilled Mackerel and Tempura. The Tempura is done very well. Just enough batter, and not over cooked. As much as I like mackerel, I'd go with Salmon the next time to avoid the bones. The Chirashi was definitely the star for the day. Heaping amounts of seafood. You cannot go wrong with the Chirashi. Definitely coming back again.

Yelp
Circle Sushi is decent OTP Japanese restaurant. This has become our go to place for bento box at lunch time. Bento box has nice combination of sushi and hot dish (my favorite is teriyaki chicken) with salad or soup. Circle Sushi was really good when it first opened. It is still good and worth a stop. Service can be so-so here. Relatively small inside, so reservations are a good idea. Small sushi bar in the back. Decent price for what you get. Located in large complex off Roswell Road. Biggest store here is Publix, which shares the same free parking lot with Circle Sushi.

Yelp
Updated review- honestly their seafood after coming here more times, have consistently been fresh. The chirashi is an amazing value for lunch- often having toro and packed with goodness. This is also one of the few places with spicy chopped scallop. Definitely worth the drive here!

Yelp
Incredible value and great food. We got the omakase donburi, large chirasi don, an order of the miso cod. For dessert, we had the tempura bananas, matcha mousse, and the matcha milkshake. All are fantastic and fresh. The miso cod is probably one of the best we have had in town: It practically melts on your tongue. The large chirasi bowl at 30-some-odd dollar is an incredible value. The omakase donburi is essentially a fancier version at $60, which comes with may be 5 or 6 more varieties of fish and a sweet shrimp. It comes with a dessert of your choice, too. The staff is wonderful and made sure we have everything we needed. This is real gem of the northern suburbs. We're just sad that we haven't found this earlier.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding as always. Great service, sushi and sashimi is so tasty and fresh. Everything is wonderful and I'll continue to support this little gem of a restaurant

Yelp
We enjoyed Circle Sushi and we will go back and have more. Very kind wait staff and the quality is there. The rolls are pretty small and we ended up leaving hungry but very pleased.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years and drove past on my way home a few weeks ago. Suggested we try tonight as I have been looking for good and affordable sushi near us in Roswell. Service was great, super nice, and efficient. They are closed midway and open at 5:30. Just be prepared that if you go at that time, you will have to wait for a server as everyone is getting seats and served...not a big deal b/c it moves fast and they are all super friendly. Sushi quality is great, taste is fresh, selection and prices are good. Casual atmosphere that is nice for your family or quiet enough for a parents night out. We will return soon!

Yelp
I'm in love with this place. The fish was phenomenal, and the service was friendly. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
fabulous restaurant, the owner and staff are always welcoming. The food is delicious and always fresh !!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is exceptional with high quality sushi. I love the miso soup with a combination of red and white miso for a balanced blend. The restaurant is quiet enough to talk together. The service is so so, but I don't need anyone hovering over me.
google avatar

Yelp
We really enjoyed our lunch here! The fish was fresh and everything we had was delicious. You will easily miss this place if you're not looking closely. It's just a yellow "sushi" sign. The inside I'd definitely older and attests to how long this place has been around. Beware it's a bit chilly inside, but you can get some free hot green tea to warm you up! - Snow Crab Cream Croquette: I still has a crunch but it's definitely on the creamy side as is in its name. - Otoro nigiri: was very fresh but not as fatty as some other places we've had - Bento box: there was a lunch special version but went with the standard one to have more choices. Grilled salmon was decent, nigiri and sashimi are fresh - Chirashi: I really enjoyed this! There is even a piece of eel hiding in the middle of the rice bowl! All the cuts of fish were large and very fresh!

Yelp
Came here on date night and we were happy to have found this place. Really good quality fish for the price. $36 5 piece nigiri omakase came with 5 beautiful pieces of fish, and a special tuna roll which I believe was topped with chopped chutoro. We shared a veggie tempura, and my wife ordered a couple of rolls. My wife called the Dream roll her favorite tuna sushi she's had. Dessert was a coffee jelly, which they'd topped with some nice mousse. Total treat, will love coming back here again. Bonus points for pitagora suichi on TV, an amazing youtube rabbit hole.

Yelp
Ordered #3 roll and Chrashi Don combo/dinners. Portion wise, we have had better at other authentic hole in the wall Japanese namely Tanaka. Price is higher compared to tanaka. Freshness: all the fish were pretty fresh. Portion: smaller end Miso soup: my girl and I both agree this is the worst miso soup we had in all the United States. From mid range sushi in Atlanta to Michelin starred in New York, this is the worst. You have better miso soup with the instant version you get from Kroger. It's watered down and the tofu wasn't diced aesthetically compared to Tanaka or Sushi Yoko. environment: it's in a very 1960-1970s runned down shopping plaza. It's definitely a hole in the wall. Interior wise, I can smell the mold. The table needs to be scrubbed or replaced. It's very sticky worst than a lot of pho restaurants I have been to.

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
Great food and saki and service. We had a great time at the bar. Easy to make a reservation and great staff!!!!!
google avatar

Lisha P.

Yelp
Can I leave 0 stars? Save your money and go somewhere else. I've ordered from here a few times but the owners are not that nice and are not that helpful at all. They ended up charging me more for separate items instead of a combo. Don't recommend it to my friends and tell you to do the same
google avatar

Ayumi M.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 I went for lunch and got the lunch bento set with tempura, sushi, and salmon teriyaki. Everything was delicious, especially the sushi and I finished all of it! This place knows what portion size means, unlike a lot of places that give you way too much. The nigiri here was one of the best I've had. If you ever come here, I highly recommend their sushi. The servers were all very nice and really helpful. The only thing that bothered me was how dark it was inside and the lack of effort on their ambience and overall vibe inside. They had a section hidden by curtains where I saw costco paper towels and random boxes. The bathrooms were also weirdly buddha themed. But anywayyy, the food is amazing here and prices are very appropriate!!

Yelp
Love love love this great sushi spot in Sandy Springs. Superb service and superior quality sushi and sashimi and appetizers. Yoshi, the owner takes such pride for the quality of his food and service it makes this a definite go-to spot for us whenever we're in town.

Yelp
Great for a first date Great food The hostess and server were super nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers.

Yelp
Enjoy lunch escape. Fabulous service and food. We ordered takeout during pandemic shutdown and have been meaning to visit for in dining meal. I suspect this place will be on our fav rotation!

Yujie H.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Very family like atmosphere. Top quality food. Fish are as fresh as you can get here in ATL.

Yelp
I thought this place was just OK. Parking was easier to find than the restaurant itself due to many available spaces in the lot and Circle Sushi's location having a very plain "SUSHI" sign above the entrance. R and I were greeted immediately by the host and asked if we had reservations. We told him no, but he seated us anyway in a big booth in the corner in front of the glass windows. As we were seated, the employee gave us one menu (to share?). Our server came by about 5 minutes later and asked what we'd like to drink. About 5 minutes after that, the same server brought our drinks and asked us what we'd like to order. R ordered the chicken cutlet donburi with salad and I ordered the pork cutlet donburi with salads. R also ordered the agedashi tofu as an appetizer. After about a 10 minute wait, our server brought us our salads. The salads came with a plastic cup of ginger dressing on the side. Even without the dressing on it, the greens in the salad were mostly not crisp, as if the salad had been sitting out for a while. While we were eating our salads, the server brought the agedashi tofu, which was just warm, when it should've been hot, like just freshly fried. We shared the appetizer, and, In spite of not being hot, the tofu had good flavor and consistency, and the dipping sauce was delicious. Soon after we finished off the agedashi tofu, our server brought our meals. They smelled good, but were overall on the bland side. R asked for something to spice up the food, and the server brought us a small bottle of chili flakes, which helped provide some spice and flavor. I honestly didn't care at all for the consistency of the food that I got; with the exception of the onions, everything in my bowl had a soggy consistency - pork, rice and fried egg. Maybe it was really soggy because the sauce flavoring the food was poured on heavy handed on top of everything in the bowl. If we come back here, we won't get these meals again. Perhaps we should have ordered the sushi instead. On a positive note, the servers and host were friendly, efficient, attentive (asked us if we wanted refills) and answered all of our questions. Overall, the food though ...

David M.

Yelp
Very good sushi at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is average, but the service and food quality is great.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cute little sushi restaurant, located in a strip mall with several other shops and ample parking. We almost missed it because the sign on top of the restaurant is a faded neon "sushi" sign that barely catches the eye. Ambience/Service: it's a really cute restaurant with lots of seating and a dim light/romantic feel to it. Both the tables as well as the booths had a nice feel to it - great for dinner! The service was amazing - the waitress was very kind, made sure she answered any questions about the food, and came by every so often to check on us. My friend had her baby with her - and the waitress was kind enough to pull us a high chair! 5/5 Food: my friend, sister and I all ordered a combination of sushi (a la cart) and a donburi bowl (not pictured). All were fresh and delicious. The salmon cooked on the sushi was a little on the lack of seasoned side - which detracted a bit. But otherwise, really delicious! Overall: really great, humble place to have a good mea out. Will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Idit K.

Yelp
Perfect little sushi place. It's hidden in a plaza off of Roswell Rd, and isn't one of these high-end stuck-up sushi places that are super fancy and expensive. This place is unassuming but good. Many Japanese go there, so it must be authentic. I loved my chirashi don, and the bento box and sushi combo D were also decent. Lunch specials are varied and priced ok.
google avatar

Diamond R.

Yelp
Before they moved their location this was the go to spot for good local sushi. I recommend the bento box
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
The lunch combo was perfect for a Sunday meal. The food and service were great! Will be back.
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
It's a solid 5 star for me! Been to Japan multiple times. I would say this place is pretty authentic. If you are the person that fancy eel sauce and spicy mayo on your roll, be aware this is not your place. Fish are very fresh, and the nori that they use here is not bad either. Aside of that, service is super friendly! Paula is our server. Don't take my word for it, go try it yourself!

Casandra P.

Yelp
Everyone was friendly! The staff created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was amazing, especially the omakase, which was incredibly fresh! Opted for the 8-piece omakase nigiri, and every piece was a delightful burst of flavors. The quality of the dishes exceeded expectations, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Definitely coming back for more!
google avatar

Jane Y.

Yelp
Ordered the lunch Chirashi B and the shumai Both fantastic. I wish there were more fish but it was fresh and deeeelish! Definitely a more authentic style. Shumai was great and I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Love the food at this place, my family and I went two days in a row for lunch. The service was good as well. I'm glad there is finally a sushi place in this part of Sandy Springs.
google avatar

Yelp
I really, really like Circle Sushi. I just wish it were closer to me, so I could go all the time but maybe that's a good thing. The exterior of Circle Sushi doesn't do this restaurant justice -- at all. All you'll see in yellow is "sushi" splattered across the top of the restaurant. It's located in a plaza with a McDonalds, Arby's and Starbucks nearby. Parking is plentiful. It may be good idea to call beforehand especially for dinner if you're planning on dining in. Seating spacing is limited inside and the workers are doing their best to be accommodating while following correct COVID protocols. Their sushi is probably one of the freshest I've ever had. They don't skip on their sashimi pieces. If you like tuna even the slightly bit, get the tuna carpaccio appetizer! Please! And if you're going for lunch, try one of their Chirashi bowls. Service is great. My waiters have always been very friendly. The first time I went, my friend and I were offered miso soup while we were waiting for our food to come. While the soup itself was just very mediocre, it was very kind of her to do. The owner or manager of the restaurant was also working both times I visited and is also very kind and accommodating. He seems to genuinely enjoy being there. All in all, super yummy sushi. I will be back very soon Circle Sushi!
google avatar

Miya O.

Yelp
High quality fish flown in from Japan at a great price. It's authentic Japanese food which is actually quite hard to come by in this area. Come for lunch and you'll get the best value. Japanese people living in the area flock here for the quality sushi. Especially popular is the Chirashi Don. You'll get a sampling of different kinds of fresh fish on top of superbly cooked white rice. Inside of the rice there's a special treat - a piece of cooked unagi (eel). It's a perfect portion size that is extremely satisfying. I also like the salmon and ikura don. The servers are very friendly, and the food comes fast. My family has been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
google avatar

Mikami N.

Yelp
I was born and raised in Tokyo. It's very competitive and there were so many amazing sushi restaurant. This Sushi restaurant always satisfies my cravings for my Japanese taste pallet. My wife and I always come here and usually don't even try to look up other places because this place is so good. It's little pricy and the portion is small but it's perfect for lunch and authentic Japanese sushi experience.

Katie S.

Yelp
Circle Sushi is our favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Service is always efficient and the staff is extremely friendly. A real family feel. The fish is extra fresh and very reasonably priced. We frequent the restaurant almost on a weekly basis and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice casual sushi spot in the area.
google avatar

Yoonhee K.

Yelp
Probably the freshest sushi I have tried for a normal sit-down restaurant outside of ones that need to be booked out for several months. Great service, and the establishment is always clean whenever we go! Would highly recommend their lunch service deals as the Chirashi Don at $17 is unbeatable.
google avatar

Vyvy T.

Yelp
This review for Circle is long overdue. A dear friend of mine had introduced us to this place a few years ago. I've recently returned for a pick up order as they were the few spots with uni available. They also have a sister restaurant nearby, Circle Noodle. Love both places! Due to COVID, you can place an order by calling in for pick up/take-out. Follow their Instagram on their latest offerings. I had ordered the Omakase Sushi Nigiri set, comes with a coffee mouse dessert, as well as miso soup or salad, and Snow Cream Crab Croquettes. They're as delicious as I remembered. Thoroughly enjoyed everything.

Charlotte C.

Yelp
amazing sushi! very fresh, friendly service! Our Sunday isn't complete without circle sushi.
google avatar

Joshua K.

Yelp
Sushi Circle is in a nice location very close to the very scenic Riverwalk. The area has an abundance of parking. The wait staff is very friendly, welcoming and made sure that every need was met. The sushi here is really good and I especially enjoyed the spicy salmon rolls. The teriyaki chicken was a bit overcooked, but, seasoned perfectly and the way in which it was cut/presented was exceptional. The interior is well decorated and has plenty of seating. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Ben D.

Yelp
If you're gonna eat there, eat there. DO NOT take out. I opened the sushi when i got home (10 mins after i picked it up). The fish smelled TERRIBLE. I was starving so I tossed some pieces in my mouth. My stomach is now in shambles. It's not like there was no smell and it tasted bad, and they couldn't have know when preparing it. You opened the box and this potent odor came out. I'm not about this place.

Yelp
Only place to have sushi in north Atlanta. Wonderful people and food. Green Machine is my favorite. Make a reservation before you go. We go once a week at least.
