I came across Cire Trudon's boutique store by accident and couldn't have been more delighted. As the oldest candle maker in the world, the shop reflects its heritage in its decor with chandeliers, mirrors, paintwork and reclaimed wood flooring all experienced with a subtle fragrance in the air. It was wonderful to be able to explore the complete range of candles, to discover the inspiration behind each one and the stories of how they were first created, thanks to store assistant Mark who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's also worth noting that the store has a large range of taper candles in a kaleidoscope of colours for just £1.50 or £2.00 each, although these are not perfumed. There's also a selection of Fornasetti home fragrances available. A lovely, indulgent place to shop.
