The proudly patriotic lineup on the menu also seems to have stepped straight out of the 1960s. Start with haddock pâté, followed by a star-studded lineup of deluxe vol-au-vent, crispy calf’s brains or steak garnished with a sauce so good you’ll be licking the plate clean, finishing with a decadent dame blanche (vanilla ice cream smothered in hot dark chocolate). So I went today for lunch (I even mistook the dates for the reservation but staff was understanding and flexible), and this is my honest opinion: Wonderful place looking like back in the days but with a fine cuisine, excellent attentive service, and also good location (easy parking in neighborhood). I started with a sweet breads in toast, followed by veal kidney as main, and sabayon to top it off as dessert. I highly recommend it and I am grateful for the opportunity to lunch there.

This is a classic, old-school restaurant with truly top-quality standards. The food is consistently cooked to perfection, the staff are relaxed yet attentive to every detail, and the atmosphere is warm and genuinely hospitable. Simply put, it’s a fantastic all-round experience

I got the tomato soup with meatballs and the beef goulash with fries. Both were amazing. Pour the goulash on the fries. I was so full! Will definitely come back. Thanks for squeezing me in!

This restaurant was recommended by our AirBNB host, and I’m happy that he told us about it. Great food which many might call unique. Great service. The place itself is also nice. Nothing too exciting, but I just love those traditional places. Portions are generous - we had 1 starter and 2 mains and couldn’t get to deserts. We were full. And happy. Mostly full. And happy.

Excellent flemish stew/beef carbonnade. Meat was incredibly fork-tender in a rich sauce, generous portion with a delicious side of frites and/or puree. Service can be a bit curt or inattentive if you’re a new comer but otherwise a nice traditional bistro atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended or you’ll probably be turned away.

A very busy and loud place (more like a café than a restaurant) but the food was ok. No wow as I had heard. We were a group of 8, placed so close to each other that we couldn't move. Not even enough space to move your arms: not easy if you need to cut your meat. The dessert was very nice though. We were lucky to be able to park the car in the street next to the restaurant but better to go there by public transport.

Excellent food, very kind service, relaxed atmosphere, wines at a reasonable price - but if you don't know Dutch, don't forget to have the parts of the menu you don't understand translated by Monsieur Haesaerts as Ciro's offers a lot of innards. If I'll be in Antwerp ever again, I'll come back to Ciro's.

This place exists for such a long time already.... Famous Belgian people (actors, singers...) can be spotted there. Popular with groups. It's a retro style interior, like time stood still. Everything is delicious, succulent steaks but quite pricey. That's the only reason I only go there occasionally.

Arrived with high expectations (parking is scarse btw). Interior and atmosphere are unique, flashback and cosy. Crowd mainly lawyers. Food is good, classic but not exceptional. Dessert came right out of freezer : Frozen chocolate mousse and tasteless profiteroles. No 5 stars, but will try it again.

I wouldn't recommend Ciro's at all. Though the food was good, the service ruined our dinner. You are rushed to order, eat and pay so to maximise the number of tables. In a nutshell, an industry. Everything looks fake. It is a very inpersonal and artificial place.
