"Tucked in a little courtyard, this northern Italian eatery might as well be a million miles away from the thudding bass of the bars down Commercial Street. And what a breather it offers, with a cozy and low-ceilinged dining room that’s rich with the alluring scent of garlic and butter. The old-school menu offerings are classics for a reason. Start with cured beef carpaccio topped with grated Pecorino Romano before voyaging through fresh salads, pasta (even linguine sautéed with just extra-virgin olive oil and garlic is a play of pristine flavor), and crowd-pleasing entrees. Must-tries include the chicken parmigiana and the traditional tiramisu." - Nathan Tavares

The place was really nice, the lights and atmosphere was cozy and romantic. The food was amazing! The baked oysters were really good (would recommend adding lime instead of lemon). The veal Milanese was good! The meat could have been a little more tender but overall tasty. They did take more time to bring you things but it was bearable. Would recommend it for sure!

I have lived in the US for many years and have grown accustomed to Italo-American restaurants. This particular type of cuisine bears no real connection to Italian cooking; it's an American reinvention, likely derived from distant memories of Italian cuisine carried over through a century-old migratory tradition. But Ciro & Sal’s surprised me, marking an even greater distance from authentic Italian taste. To say that almost all the dishes offered are inedible for an Italian is an understatement. At this place, I felt offended by the blatant misuse of the Italian brand. I hope they close soon!

This restaurant boasts many years of history and receives high local acclaim, evident from the bustling crowd. We ordered some common Italian dishes, and they all tasted delicious. Additionally, the restaurant's decor is stylish and romantic, making it a fitting choice for a meal after exploring Provincetown and concluding a day's journey.

The drinks were good but the food and service was super average. our server was very nice but she was too busy to provide a good experience, i don’t think it was her fault. I ordered the seafood pasta dish that is advertised as the best on cape cod and sadly had to send it back, there was so much dried oregano and herbs, that’s all i could taste. With such beautiful seafood, dried herbs are really not necessary. This was a shame as it was my Birthday dinner, the food took a while so i didn’t feel like ordering a new entree. I think with some new chefs this place could thrive. location is beautiful, It would be a good spot for some drinks and to enjoy the atmosphere.

Had the best meal and service! Got to sit in the garden highly recommend. Really romantic or fun with a group of friends too. You can basically build any pasta dish you want!

Very charming old-school Italian restaurant. Service is great, very warm and inviting. Food is a bit of a letdown though. It wasn't bad, just not what it should be. Pasta was severely overcooked, as was the chicken and seafood. Sauce on the meatball was delicious, though.

Service and atmosphere were great! Food was okay…. Could have had more flavor. Great wine selection!

Google
Highly recommended! Had a wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful and unique. So many amazing Italian choices. Our dinners were so delicious and the service was excellent. Looking forward to returning. Loved it.

Yelp
The atmosphere inside of this place was cute, charming, old Italian feeling. Old wine bottles hanging up everywhere and feels like a family home. My espresso martini was so divine and creamy! We got the zucchini Fritti to start and they were good, nothing special. My Pollo Ala Vodka was so creamy and delicious, I ate very last bit of it. The service was okay, 3/5, it could have been better, our waters were empty for a while and had to ask for a refill. Our waiter seemed scattered brain and took a while to bring our bottle of wine to our table. I would definitely go back for sure, hoping the service would be better.

Yelp
We had a reservation at Ciro & Sal's for three people at a 'standard' table. It was a cold rainy night in Provincetown. When we arrived a pompous person said we were to be seated outside in the rain and cold. We said we had a reservation for inside. In a condescending sneer he stated that a 'standard' table allowed him to seat us at any table that was available - inside or outside. We then asked if there were any tables outside sheltered from the rain. He then said it didn't matter since they weren't serving outside due to the weather. I asked why he didn't call us and tell us we had no reservation. He said we did have a reservation. -our reservation was outside !!! Yes it was that nonsensical and frankly enraging!!! I asked to see the manager. He said he was the manager. He then pointed to the door and ORDERED us to leave. We are three townies who will NEVER return and we will share our experience with everyone we know !

Yelp
Beautiful terrace but average food! The service was okay, but it was a little hostile. The food was ok; all the pastas were very dry, and if I am not wrong, all of them were spaghetti, which had been cooked in a batch and served with a very minimal amount of sauce, depending on your order. The marsala dishes were over seasoned and the salads were just ok. We had a great time with each other but the food left nothing good to remember. It's one of the most renowned restaurants in town and it was sad that it was such a letdown.

Yelp
I've been to Ciro &Sals twice- and we decided to go every year from now on. It's absolutely beautiful- in the garden there's a gorgeous gazebo and lights. The inside is straight out of a trattoria in Italy with cozy lighting and Chianti bottles hanging from the walls. This place is an Italian escape. The service is lovely. The menu has a beautiful story of their history on the first page and is followed by a nice selection of entrees. I recommend the fried Zucchini app, the Pesce Al Umido. The specials are great too! The ingredients taste fresh and the food is flavorful. The desserts were devine as well.

Stella K.

Yelp
Went there last year and tried it this year too. Italian restaurant, with ok food and a limited wine list. All dishes are over-oiled; the sauces overwhelm the natural flavors of the ingredients, usually a sign of an efforts to hide poor quality of ingredients. Had the gnocchi and mussels - all too oily and couldn't discern the individual flavors. No, simply no. I don't enjoy a heavy Italian-inspired but definitely not up to par meal. Not going back. Don't make my mistake.

Yelp
My recent visit to Ciro and Sal's was a delightful experience! The indoor seating area, though cozy, had a charming appeal, and the outdoor seating was simply enchanting. Our server, provided impeccable service. It was impressive how quickly our food arrived, and my spaghetti was a culinary delight! I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit here. it's the perfect blend of inviting ambiance and mouthwatering cuisine. Highly recommended!

Robert V.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, at best. Our server was not at all welcoming and downright miserable. There are too many other good to great restaurants in PTown to choose!

Vicki F.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner here when visiting friends in Ptown. The room is warm and inviting, the service attentive and knowledgeable and the food was just delicious. We started out with a strong and well-made cocktail, then moved on to the artichoke appetizer, a half dozen Wellfleet oysters and the mussels, which had the most amazing garlicky sauce ever. For the entrees we ordered the bolognese, chicken piccata and pasta puttanesca. I added the veal meatballs to the main and they were the perfect add on. Plates can be ordered in half's and the full size is shareable. We skipped dessert because we had peanut butter cups from the fudge store waiting for us at home but the tiramisu sounded like the perfect ending. All in all, highly recommended!

Ily V.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Not one thing to complain. Service was great. Ambiance definitively wonderful. Cozy. Romantic. Price is just right. Try the burrata. Had the tortellini with pesto sauce. Absolutely delicious. The pasta with bolognese was very very good. The tiramisu was an excellent choice for dessert. This place is a must go specially if you're celebrating something

Alysea J.

Yelp
Last weekend, I had the most incredible meal all by myself. This place is a total hidden gem, not too crowded, and it gives off this cozy, old-school vibe. So, I decided to treat myself to a special dinner. I ordered a fantastic bottle of red and white wine (seriously, their wine list is impressive). For my meal, I went all out and got Gnocchi Caprese, Pesce Limone, Chicken in truffle cream sauce, Scampi, Fra Diavalo, and Carbonara. Every bite was pure heaven, and I even had to request extra bread to savor every bit of that amazing sauce.

Yelp
Don't listen to self proclaimed "townies" who are from Pennsylvania and give everything one star. One of my favorite places to go in town and I'd come here over and over, again and again! I love Veal Milanese and Al burro pasta. During the pandemic my niece used to order delivery from here she tells me- and she'd get a tiramisu. I wish they did delivery again, I'd order all the time! Zack is a hard working man and father who puts his all into the experience at ciro and sal's.

Yelp
We used to come here as pre teens in the 60s with our parents .. it was an annual summer event that we looked forward to for months ... the Bermans and the Gould's (father of Stephen jay Gould, the author evolutionary biologist) .: my dad and Eleanor Gould painted on the deck ... we kids went walking at low tide for hermit crabs.., we stayed at Bull Ring Wharf and sold beach glass jewelry and India ink painted stones on the sidewalk. Ciro's was spectacular to us as kids: the dark wine cellar atmosphere, the veal parmigiana, the friendly waiters, the exquisite ambience and food. Last October I was there to celebrate my anniversary and the waiter could not have been colder. He pretty much ruined my memories. What happened to enchanting warm personalities and welcoming waiters? Do I dare go back?

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant away from the lively touristy area specializing in Italian cuisine. The venue itself is stunning. The outdoor garden is lusciously green with strung lights that make the whole vibe extremely fairytale-like. The indoor seating is equally clean, beautiful, and spacious. The food, I have to admit, was ok. They start with a pretty measly bread basket (literally served 2 small slices of bread per person). The veal meatball wasn't anything spectacular. It was a little dry on the inside and didn't really taste any different than a regular meatball, which just makes it seem like a waste of a good veal. The sauce on the other hand was delicious. The Abruzzese that they note is the "#1 best dish by Cape Cod Magazine" was pretty tasty. It's a hodgepodge of seafood in a pasta. The mussels really carried that dish because they sponged up all of the sauce so you get a burst of concentrated flavor in one bite. The scallops, as you can see in the picture, were gray and had a strange texture, which made it off-putting. My partner had the Chicken and Shrimp alla Vodka which he said was a different take on vodka sauce (creamier and sweeter) but still delicious. Our waiter told us that the chef really took a lot of time to perfect the vodka sauce and it shows! For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse which was just ok. The mousse wasn't set and was basically chocolate soup. Overall, while the setting was beautiful, the food did not match up to the expectations. I'd return for a light snack and cocktails in the garden during the day.

Yelp
Great location and ambiance!! It's nicer outside but beware the mosquitoes. We ordered 3 appetizers and the Vitelli Scaloppinie Al Marsala. The veal was mediocre but the mushrooms and pasta was good. The special appetizer was 5 fried oysters. They were small and just covered in batter, not that special. The Zucchini Fritti was really good. And the Vitelli Polpete looked great and was ok. Great sauce, big balls, expected more flavor and texture. The wine was really good. It's really a 3 and half. It could be great but not yet.

Yelp
We revisited Ciro and Sal's this past summer with family. I wanted to try sitting in the main area upstairs to see what the ambiance was like. It was beautiful, but the best experience was on the lower level. Our server was amazing. He had a full house but was extremely quick on his toes and never left a table unattended. For an app, we had the zucchini fritti; they were light and had nice breading. I had the pesto pasta for my main course, and I can confidently say it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had down the Cape. The portion was very generous, but the flavor had me easily wanting to take seconds home with me. Ciro & Sal's has a great history and is considered one of P-Town's original 'townie' restaurants. Reservations are a must in the summer, but the off-season usually has tables available.

David S.

Yelp
A little disappointed in Ciro's. Not as good as I had hoped. Service was adequate but not great. Our waiter (won't name him but rhymes with Gopher) seemed distracted. I never got offered another drink or refill. The food was okay. I had the special veal with eggplant and it was tasty. My side of pasta was slightly undercooked. My friend said his veal was just okay. The cannoli was good but not great. Don't know that we would return.

Natalie C.

Yelp
Saturday night dinner with my husband was quite disappointing. I ordered pesto linguine and specified that I like my pasta al dente--it came over cooked and the pesto tasted like it was store bought. My husband's chick parm was ok, nothing to write home about. The wait staff didn't ask how the meal was. When they came after my husband was finished I told her the pesto pasta was inedible--she neither apologized or offered a replacement. Just took it away (and didn't charge for it). Charming atmosphere (the reason for 2 stars), but many better options by inspired chefs.

Yelp
Truly one of the best evenings of our trip. My partner had heard about Ciro and Sal's but that was all we knew. The space is tucked away down an alley, but when you walk through the archway, what an experience. The outdoor seating area is really nice, but we made late reservations and were seated indoors. Now, the space, a little low on the ceilings, but was so cool. We love wood/timber framing and the space was just that...a step back in time. The staff was very nice and did their best to anticipate our needs, but were working the room that night. Very busy. A perfect intimate space but also great for a group of friends, but could get loud. Just so nice. The menu was awesome and we had trouble deciding, but made our choices and enjoyed a great meal. So worth the visit.

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyable Italian restaurant in PTown. We sat out back on a lovely evening. We enjoyed everything we ordered and the service was great. I will try it again to try to make a more informed decision on 4 star or five. I will definitely put this place in the rotation for my visits to one of my favorite beach/art/lgbtq+ towns. Tip- I saw someone bring their dog to dine outside with.

Bob S.

Yelp
A big disappointment, especially the Abruzzese, which is supposedly their signature dish. The seafood was tough and bland, and the color of the fish was an unappetizing purplish gray. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time for a table, which was placed atop uneven gravel, with one chair much lower than the other. The only high point was the Barbaresco, which was excellent and decently priced.

Joellen S.

Yelp
We had high expectations.... Unfortunately, the food was tasteless, the service was rushed. The ambiance and decor were lovely. 2 stars for food 2 stars for service 5 stars for ambiance Given the food quality and service it was over priced!

Ken Z.

Yelp
We made a 5:30 reservation to sit outside for dinner. The ambiance was wonderful. With trees and beautiful flowering plants and shrubbery. We both had an aperol spritzer and split a Bruschetta homemade pesto bread topped with roasted garlic, roasted tomatoes, eggplant and mozzarella appetizer. Frankly it was just ok. For dinner LouAnn had the special Farfalle (bowtie) pasta, with peas, and prosciutto in a creamy sauce. I had the 24oz sirloin steak medium rare that melted in my mouth. With that we enjoyed a glass of Barolo wine. The food was delicious. I would have preferred to have more char on the steak. Our server Paloma was awesome and attentive. The only complaint we had was that we were being rushed out in order to turn the tables over.

Tony D.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Ciro & Sal's in years. I am glad I took my family back. Had a very pleasant dinner there.

Noah B.

Yelp
Two hours and 10 minutes later, I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. We came here last year and it was great. Expensive, but a beautiful setting and delicious. This year was the worst experience of our entire vacation. We waited over an hour for food to arrive, and one of the employees spilled an oil dish all over my mothers dress and hat. When the bill arrived we were expecting most, if not all of it to be comped. Not of it was. My mother went up to explain her experience and they took off $40 from the $245. I've worked in the service industry for many years and would have comped our entire meal in a second. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. Half of our dishes or underwhelming. As we were leaving another guest stormed out of the restaurant, telling everyone who was waiting in line how terrible the restaurant was. We seconded their comments, so it seems like it wasn't just us. Will certainly not be coming back here again.

Paul J.

Yelp
Last month we had made reservations for two for the upstairs indoor bar. A host escorted us upstairs showing us the 2 bar seats that would be ours momentarily. While enjoying our drinks and waiting patiently a second host escorted a couple up who quickly grabbed the seats. (The upstairs bar accepts walk ins based on availability) We informed the host and his trainee as to what had just occurred and left the restaurant hungry and irritated. We'll be back. The foods too good to hold a grudge over a miscommunication. Elegant, upscale, but a bit too congested

Chisa H.

Yelp
My friend and I were here for a gala and came here on high recommendation. We were not disappointed. Not only was the food fresh and well-prepared-- good Lord, if the watermelon salad is the special when you visit, ORDER IT-- but also the bartenders were so fun and friendly, it made us forget we couldn't be seated at a regular table. Thanks, Yvette and Adrian! You handled our nosy probing with grace and were the highlight of the night!

Mark M.

Yelp
In Provincetown a must go too northern Italian great food very good service and in the fall and spring. The ambience is fantastic.

Chris C.

Yelp
I've been here twice over the last year because a good friend loves this place. Everyone seem to love it and I can't understand why. It's clear they are skating by on a long history rather than continuing to uphold thier quality. We had a party of 7 and a sizable bill and they utterly refused to take one person's (in his words) inedible chicken dish off the bill or offer to replace it when he said it wasn't good. I've never been anywhere that didn't bend over backwards to fix an issue like this. They said "the chef thinks it's fine".... Well the chef is not the person playing is s/he? The adage "unhappy customer will tell 10 people about the poor service he or she received" is apt here. Also the oysters were not great, and dishes varied wildly within the groups - great Alfredo but muddy and sort of gross veal Marsala . Great artichokes and zucchini, but terrible chicken and a couple other dishes. Lovely atmosphere outside in their garden space but inside its very dated and claustrophobic. Bartender didn't know to make a G&T in a highball glass (but in a water goblet) a bartender who didn't know how to make a G&T should find another job. Maybe we should take Sal hint and try the place he left Ciro & Sals to start in the West End (Sal's Place) instead ?

Yelp
Downstairs dining is beautiful. Recommend getting a table there if you can because of the fireplace and vibe. Our server, Ron, was extremely friendly and had lots of great recommendations and stories. He also tried to get to know everyone at the table. The food was amazing. I'm normally not a fan of Italian, but this place changed my mind about it. The fried zucchini was marvelous. It almost tasted cheesy because of thinly it was sliced and how it was fried. The burrata was also really good. I ordered the lasagna, and I thought it was delicious, especially the broiled cheese on top. I was actually too full to eat my main because of the starters, but the parts I did eat were wonderful. The cocktails were just OK to me. Not sure if they were worth the price in terms of how smooth the drinks were or portions. I was excited to try the tiramisu but underwhelmed when I actually tried it. I would try a different dessert next time. Docked a star because we had reservations that we were exactly on time for, but because of a backup, they didn't have a table available for us for another 40 minutes! We were directed to the bar to wait, which is normally fine, but the bar was packed with people who were dining. The bartender was swamped and was not able to take our drink orders, so it was an awkward wait. There were around 7 groups like ours waiting in the upstairs dining area, awkwardly standing around because there was no room to sit, and getting in the way of the waiters but not sure what else could be done about it. 2 groups ended up leaving because of the awkward wait. And the wait built up like that all through the night, based off what I could see. I also would have left but knew it would be a wait for dinner at other places as well. Not sure if this was a one-off situation or if the reservation management is always like this. Waiting 40 mins for a table you have a reservation for isn't great, and it was never really acknowledged by anyone. If it was the other way around where we were 40 mins late for a reservation, I'm sure they would not honor it. Ah well, the food was worth it.

Dorit S.

Yelp
Ciro and Sals is the go to spot for Italian food in Provincetown. Once you step foot in the restaurant you will feel like you are at a cozy restaurant in Italy. We were warmly greeted by our waiter Ron and were given a backstory about the restaurant itself. I couldn't resist ordering the fresh oysters which were absolute perfection. We then ordered a couple of dishes for the table to share. Among my favorites was the gnocchi and the shrimp and chicken alla vodka. If you are in ptown be sure to include Ciro and Sals on your list!

Rosemary S.

Yelp
The ambiance was even better than I expected. The waiter was very passionate about the history of the restaurant, and it actually added to the experience to hear some background on how old the building was and how it was where Anthony Bourdain started his career. Not cheap but about what you would expect for the caliber of the restaurant. Serving sizes were generous so you got plenty for what you paid for!

Sophia H.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Most of the food was delicious and filling, but one little con: we weren't too impressed with the ravioli. Review of the dishes we got: - Cozze marinara (mussels) - at first glance, it didn't look a particularly special dish, but wow, it was delicious and very flavorful! The mussels were very meaty, and the sauce was soooo tasty. House bread dipped in this sauce was incredible too. - Chicken, prosciutto, and peas over farfalle with a spicy sherry cream sauce (a special of the day dish) - amazing pasta!! Very flavorful with a spicy kick (but not too spicy), creamy rich sauce, al dente pasta, and incredibly moist chicken (omg SO moist!). The portion was also incrediblyyyyy huge and filling. If you want a great bang-for-the-buck pasta dish, get this one. - Ravioli of the day (roasted mixed mushroom ravioli in pesto cream) - pretty disappointing. I love ravioli, but the taste here was kinda boring; it didn't help that we ate it alongside with the chicken farfalle dish, which tasted so much more exciting and bolder in flavors in comparison. One of the ravioli pieces hd slightly hard texture, so I was not impressed. Very cool basement interior (the restaurant was originally a house before being converted to a restaurant). The interior was woody, pretty dim, and old-fashioned-looking. The place was quite noisy though. Service was great.

Yelp
We really wanted to love this place after good reviews from family members. Summer of 2021 we had a bad experience with a host who very rudely told us they could not seat us outside because it didn't say on the reservation notes even though I specifically asked for outside seating when I called. There were many outside tables open but she told us we couldn't sit there because they were reserved for those who asked for an outside reservation!! Anyway, they sat us inside and then the same host interrupted our server while he was taking our order to ask him to bring something to a different table. This year 2022 we decided to try it again and initially the service was awful. They sat us down and did not come by at all for about 15 minutes. Then we overheard the staff arguing over who was going to take our table. After that, the server that came over was very nice and apologetic. However, I ordered the chicken parm and they served me raw chicken. My boyfriend tried it as well and we let the server know. Again he was very apologetic and offered us complementary dessert. However at that point I was so disgusted and nauseous I could eat anything. We will not be going back. Truly disappointed.

Meredith C.

Yelp
We booked reservations and enjoyed a dinner at the upstairs bar which is intimate with an old school wooden ship vibe. This was a weekday in late Sep so the restaurant wasn't as busy. The bartender was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the Caesar to start which was brought out on one plate with two smaller plates to share. The salad, with a light dose of dressing, was simple but great. We ordered the salmon with lemon and capers (Pesce al Limone) and house made linguini with veal meatballs (Sugo e Polpete). The portions were adequate. Plenty to eat (along with the bread) but nothing that will require a to-go box and provide another meal the next day (or late night snack - don't judge!) In short, both dishes were very good but perhaps short of amazing.

Susan A.

Yelp
Was a little hesitant after reading several reviews about bad service. But we enjoyed this restaurant. We were celebrating my birthday and wanted to go somewhere special. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived so they sent us up to the bar for a drink. Had a nice cocktail, but a bit of a long wait being we had a reservation. Great atmosphere, very cozy in the downstairs dining room. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. For dinner we shared the Burrata salad. Very generous and delicious. For dinner I had the Calamari with a lemon cream sauce. Very tasty but a bit too much garlic and oil in the sauce. My husband also had a Calamari dish, but with a red sauce that he enjoyed. Shared the Cannoli for dessert, which our server dressed up with whipped cream and a candle. Service was great, would definitely return!

Denis D.

Yelp
Ordered some takeout. Vongole Bianco. It was good, not great. Staff was a little rude. Would not go back.

Elise R.

Yelp
Excellent service! Attentive and friendly wait staff. The food is sublime! We had the tiramisu for dessert--heavenly!

Chris L.

Yelp
We've been going here every year when we visit ptown. Food isn't as good as it used to be. Pasta was overcooked and underwhelming. The service seemed under staffed. We had 7:30 reservations and didn't get seated til 8pm. Our waiter was very nice but seemed over worked. We aren't giving up on this place as it could have been an off night and will try again.

Doug T.

Yelp
We've been coming to Ptown for years, but this was our first time to finally eat here. Magical from the moment our host sat us at what felt like the best table downstairs. Cozy, charming, romantic. I had an urge for pesto and the waitress suggested the ravioli as an appetizer. Something I never would have ordered. It was perfect. My partner had lobster bisque. Delicious. He ordered very well: the chicken piccata with lemon and capers was excellent. I loved my veal and especially the angel hair pasta side dish with, again, pesto. An excellent bottle of Chablis (something else I never would have ordered) and a light chocolate mousse to finish off a perfect meal. I will be back many times. Go. Go. Go. To this wonderful Ptown establishment.

Sue J.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years. I thought the good was ok, not as good as I remember. I had the lasagna which was dry and lacked much flavor. The ambiance is really nice though. Unfortunately the service was poor. Our waitress clearly had not been trained.

Alanna A.

Yelp
We had a terrible experience at Ciro and Sals. 1. Left alone at the table for over 20 minutes after being seated before we were given any water or greeted by a server. 2. They sat our 3 person party at a 2 person table. We were uncomfortable. The server even needed to place our food on the railings of the gazebo because it didn't all fit on the table. 3. We ordered the special watermelon, mint and feta salad and what we received was a 1/4 of a watermelon, .5 tablespoon of feta (at most) and a meager amount of chopped sage (not mint- they clearly ran out of mint and instead of discontinuing the salad, made an unsuitable substitution. Google sage watermelon salad.. there are no recipes. Why? Because it's not a good combo). Waitress continued to sell it as a 'watermelon and mint salad' to other customers. I could have made a better salad myself for 1/3 the price. 4. After we finished our appetizers, we sat there with no food or drink refills for over 30 minutes. Our meals did not arrive until a full hour and 10 minutes after we had place our order. 5. My water cup (my only beverage) was left empty for about half the time we were seated 6. There are 2 bathrooms, I used one and when I went to wash my hands found a sign in the sink saying "Sink Broken Do Not Use!"... !? So I had to wait in the hallway, with my unwashed hands, until the second bathroom opened up and I could wash my hands. I am sure there is not a separate bathroom for the wait staff. How many servers, who were clearly swamped, took the time to sit around and wait to wash their hands? How many just ran back to work? Gross. Overall it is clear this restaurants main goal was to make as much money as possible, not to provide a great experience. Reservations should have been closed when they were at a SERVICE capacity, not seating capacity. Kitchen should have discontinued the special when they ran out of ingredients. Redeeming factors are the staff who were very kind and responsive to our complaints. Everyone was working hard. Manager sent us some desserts as an apology after we complained.

Yelp
We had dinner at Ciro & Sal's on Dec 30, 2023. This is the third time we have eaten at this restaurant. The prior two times were on the lower level which I would recommend. A bit cozier and more romantic. The food is excellent. Not rating 5 stars as our dining experience on this occasion felt very rushed. It was busy, we had decided to try the upstairs level. A bit noisier. There were two larger parties and our service felt rushed like they were trying to get us through the kitchen before the larger table orders. Will go again, but not on a weekend night as I think this place is better when not as busy.

Yelp
Amazing food! I had the sliced fruits del mar. Everything was wonderful and great service. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing. Service was a little slow and had to wait 20 minutes even with a reservation but otherwise worth the wait.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. The chicken Marsala is to die for. The linguine and clams dish isn't too bad either. The interior ambiance is unique. The service was quick and the server was very informative. Overall good service and the bathroom were also clean. Check this place out for sure!

Yelp
Food was horrible and service was awful. The hostess had an attitude and moved are table to a 4 top when we were 6 and table sat empty rest of the night. Sauce was burnt and salmon dry and nasty. Waiter was rude and could not seem to add simple math.

Yelp
Horrible food. The worst of Americanized Italian. Ordered a pasta dish and there was at least a half of a cup of oil on it. Disgusting. At the bottom of our bread basket was another diner's piece of pasta. Fire the kitchen staff. I'd go on and on but why bother. What a waste of money. Caveat - the wait and bus staff was lovely. Avoid.

Yelp
We ate inside , cute room , old world , cosy Their patio also looks nice Our waitress was nice and so was the bus boy But the food. yikes. Italian American, Not italien from Italy thats for sure. Very oily . Very heavy handed ! Big portions for sure if thats what you are after but overall pretty bad food. A P town institution maybe but we will not go back. None of us three liked the food The artichoke starter was below average The salad was like what you would get in a diner The Mussels were fine. They got the order wrong and send clams instead and sent someone to ask what exactly I was expecting. My answer : the dish I ordered mussels. lol The Foriana was.... What the hell was it.? Just gross ! They gave us the wrong wine but at that point , we did let it go. No desert , thanks , we could not get of there quickly enough
