Ciro is a delightful experience serving some of the most delicious meals. Ciro himself is such a charming character vibrant with life! You must dine here at least one, but I guarantee you’ll be back for more!

Such a fun place! Very intimate environment and high quality food. Blows every other Italian American joint I’ve been to out of the water! Already looking forward to another trip back. I’m not a drinker but they have amazing Italian sodas here which were so refreshing! Also the pesto is to die for! I’ve never liked pesto but this place completely changed my mind. Must visit!

What a treat! One minute you think you're in Illinois, the next minute you are in Italy! This is not the Italian restaurant you've been to recently. Everything is made from scratch, pasta made in-house, and the chef/owner whose name is on the top of the menu, well he is also Italian. The menu is based on Southern Italian dishes and holds authenticity in the highest value. The menu is small for now but they are committed to growing the menu when they can find the correct ingredients and maintain the signature quality. The food can be taken out easily because they started as a heat at home restaurant. This is because it's tiny! If you call ahead you can reserve one of the seats at the chef counter, and enjoy a wonderful experience. Mike was correct in recommending the Pasta al forno, It was delicious as was the pillowy and creamy gnocchi. The restaurant is BYOB so be sure to stop by the wine shop next door, they are also excellent. Remember I said everything is made in house? Well the desserts are too, get ready for the best tiramisu you have ever had. I promise. (Unless you had it at your grandmother's house in Italy)! Enjoy, this will be a treat! Godere!

I’ve been a regular here and this review is long overdue. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warmth that makes you feel more like family than a guest. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a charm that makes you want to linger over every course. Ciro, the owner, is the heart and soul of this place. His dedication shows in everything — from the way he personally welcomes you to how he ensures every dish is served with care and authenticity. You can tell he loves what he does, and it radiates through the entire experience. The food is consistently outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and crafted with the kind of passion you’d expect from a true Italian kitchen. No matter what the dish is, you will always leave knowing you’ve had something special. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a spot where community, hospitality, and incredible food come together. Ciro has built something wonderful here, and it’s why I’ll keep coming back

Had an amazing weekday lunch here, Ciro is friendly and passionate about the food. The focaccia straticatella was amazing, as was the vegetarian baked pasta and the tiramisu! The Italian cola was flavorful too. Great atmosphere.

I am not the person who leaves reviews much, but I think I should. 1 star is generous for me. I ordered a pasta. I was very very shocked that the pasta was already prepared and just reheated in front of me. It was an open kitchen. They only moved it to a new glass plate. This place was 5 star rated, so I wanted to believe that its taste would be good, but I was not able to finish it. Any frozen food in a grocery store is way better than this. I am not sure how other reviews have been made.

Whether or not you close your eyes, you’re instantly transported to Italy with your first bite. The pesto is rich and thick, the energy is lively and familial, the tiramisu is airy and decadent. You absolutely must dine at Ciro!
