"Cirrus champions fresh, sustainably caught seafood and fish. Vegetarians and meat-eaters will also be satisfied though, with the menu representing diverse local ingredients, from pumpkins to plump steaks. Swing by for lunch or dinner daily, with the choice of à la carte or the Cirrus tasting menu (whole-table only). Get the party started with oysters, then order a starter of cured swordfish with pea and lemon myrtle, followed by a main of Ora King salmon with charred cabbage and black garlic. A Cirrus Platter, heaped with ocean-fresh seafood, works well if you’ve brought your crew." - Sophie Davies

Love Cirrus, but for some unknown reason I hadn’t been in a while. So glad I came back - the seafood and wine list are incredible. As are the staff. What a great way to spend a cold, rainy, Sunday afternoon in Sydney.

Heard that it’s closing down soon, so we decided to give it a try. Booked Crablis for late lunch on Sunday, the overall food quality and quantity were barely making it to fine dining level. Except the Mud Crab dish, we can barely see crab meats in all other dishes. They charged $240/person and they even asked you to share A desert. What a shame! The restaurant definitely will not be missed.

Bentley group never misses - really sad to see this one go, we visited before they closed up this Sunday and was blown away with the quality of our meal. Our favourite starters were the charcoal grilled bread with whipped butter, tempura scallops, the yuzu vinaigrette (delightfully spicy) with syd rock oysters. Our favourite main was the half chicken with kombu sauce. Deluxe crispy chicken with gravy so good I licked the plate. No shame! Finished it all up with the roasted pineapple topped honey layered cake. We savoured each bite knowing it will be the last time we get to have these dishes (hope we’ll see these dishes again at other Bentley group restaurants)

We had a big meal for 2, and the food was amazing. The lobster was cooked to perfection, not overcooked nor undercooked. The sommelier was incredibly helpful with amazing wine pairing knowledge from the individual dishes we ordered. Apart from the odd side salad (big chunk of lettuce 😅), all their food was top notch- as expected from the Bentley group. Highly recommend, and would go again.

Google
Overrated food with egotistic and rushed service. Staff were clearly very proud of the food here and we were obnoxiously reminded of this throughout the whole service. Ironically, the food was very average, salty and oily. Service was not very family friendly as the waiters seemed to be more interested in flirting with the table of rowdy loud women. We had a two hour sitting but felt like we were pushed to leave asap. We decided to have dessert at NOLA smokehouse and bar where the service was day and night.

I recently visited Cirrus Dining for Easter lunch, and while the experience had its highlights, there were some aspects that left me a bit underwhelmed. Firstly, the Charcoal Grilled Bread with Whipped Cod Roe was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and texture. The oysters were also a standout, fresh and delicious. However, the scallops seemed a bit strange. The combination of pistachio with grapefruit lacked the expected freshness and flavour. Our waitress, Farah, provided excellent recommendations and was attentive throughout the meal, enhancing the overall experience. She checked in on us a number of times and really provided a fantastic service. Unfortunately, the temperature of the Prosecco and wine served was too warm, requiring me to add ice to enjoy them properly. I was surprised to find that the menu prices were higher than those advertised online, despite the website indicating that the a la carte menu would be available for Easter. I would have thought that the menu would have run as normal and that this would be covered by the 15% public holiday surcharge, was disappointing. Overall, while Cirrus Dining offered some memorable dishes and attentive service, the inconsistencies in menu pricing and beverage temperature detracted from an otherwise enjoyable Easter lunch experience.

I came here for my anniversary due to good reviews. However the seafood platter is too salty to finish. The appetizer is nice, and the service is good too. The staff offer us drinks and redo the dishes. But the taste is not enough to satisfy my expectations.

Yelp
4.5/5 I would have used the half star if I could--the food was awesome but service got slow towards the end of our evening. We did the pre-selected five course menu and it gave us a bunch of great dishes that I wouldn't have picked myself. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
High quality food, good service and would definitely recommend for a friend looking for an upscale but casual dining experience. We actually heard about this place from the Worth It - Buzzfeed Series. We tried fresh oysters ($5 each) and the marron ($45) which tastes like a mix of crab and lobster. As far as the oysters, we also tried fresh oysters at the fish market and the oysters at Cirrus seemed to be better quality. Marron definitely is a unique flavor that we've never tried before. Only found in Western Australia, the Marron is a type of crayfish. Might as well try the local fare when your visiting right? We also had the tri-tip steak ($45) which had a sunflower spread (tasted like hummus) and onions and a delicious sauce. Given the current currency conversion from AUS to USD, we had a little discount which made the meal a more reasonable price. We would definitely order these dishes again. Only the price slightly knocks this down to 4 stars. Considering that it is a two chef hat restaurant, I was worried that there wouldn't be availability when we decided to walk down and see if they had availability. There was a handful of open tables on a weekday near the end of the lunch service which was great. It was a perfect opportunity to try one of the best restaurants in Sydney, no regrets at all.

Yelp
Cirrus Dining, located on the waterfront at Barangaroo is one of those venues we've had on our list for a while now, and we finally made a visit. Cirrus, names after the cloud like apartment that sits above it. We recommend that you all also promptly book in, it is absolutely incredible and certainly deserves all the accolades it has received. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, you can sit inside or alfresco, enjoying views of our breathtaking harbour. A crisp and stylish place with minimal decor, yet it feels classy with its floor to ceiling glass. Chefs coming to you from the the Bentley, Monopole and Yellow restaurants and Chef Brent Savage has put together an array of seafood delights with incredible flavour combinations and the freshest selection of seafood, sustainably caught. Don't fret, if you have a non seafood eater amongst you, there's vegetarian and meat options as well. The waitress informed us that the dishes at Cirrus were designed to be shared. As a party of 6, she recommended 6 entrees, 6 mains and 4 sides. We ordered one less main than her recommendation and we were extremely full. The meats in particular were very generous servings. We also shared 3 desserts. We began with a few oysters, served with a vinaigrette and these were a beautiful start to our dining experience. We shared a number of starters including their famous Ocean trout with smoked beetroot and pepperberry and toast. The smoked beetroot lay atop the ocean trout mixture, almost like a starfish and the texture was simply divine. The small plate of raw Cobia (like a sashimi) with salted apple, turnip and sesame was quite refreshing. We shared two plates of the roasted King Prawns and Koji Butter. These prawns were were beautifully cooked, and a generous lashing of the butter sauce. We also really enjoyed the Fremantle octopus with kohlrabi and green chilli salsa. The octopus was super fresh, tender and nice crisp outer flavour, topped with ribbons of kohlrabi. Given Cirrus is primarily a seafood restaurant, we could go past having a number of fish for our mains. We enjoyed the the Hiramasa kingfish with grilled cucumber, buttermilk and mint. Nice and soft fish with a pleasant sauce. The cone bay barramundi was also lovely and was presented with some beautiful coils of charred onions and watercress. The roasted swordfish was another winner, served with fennel, buckwheat and bottarga. The Grilled black angus rib eye, 500 g was a big serving, and served with kombu butter, a very good comfort food choice. We ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked to our request. The barbecued lamb neck may not be something you'd expect at a seafood restaurant but for the meat lovers amongst us, it is a brilliant dish. We shared all the sides; chips and aioli, radicchio salad, an absolutely beautiful plate of grilled asparagus with fresh curd and black olive, as well as a lovely serve of zucchini with hazelnut, yoghurt and turmeric. As for the drinks, Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt has also organised a wide selection of wines, 500 from around the world where you can get advice on the best to pair with your food selection. We chose a bottle of Riesling, which was a lovely pairing. All of this amongst 6 diners and including 3 bottles of wine and bread came to $130 each, which is pretty reasonable given the size of the servings and amount of food. If you'd prefer, the tasting menu is available for $110 each for the whole table, though we preferred to order so we could try a greater range of options. We absolutely loved dining at Cirrus and can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
So I have dined here a while ago and I just remember service was terrible. Water wasn't refilled, they were so busy, they forgot about us outside! The view is beautiful and the food was exceptional! Just the service wasn't the greatest.

Yelp
This was our first meal in Australia. Came here for lunch based on the hotel concierge's recommendation. It is a little pricey but that is expected for high quality seafood in a beautiful restaurant by the water. We shared the seafood platter and cocktails. The seafood was fresh and high quality. My favorite were the pickled mussels - I easily would have ordered a plate of those mussels. My husband enjoyed the scallop tartare. The only item I thought was less than perfect was the tiger prawns were overcooked.

Yelp
Although we had a reservation we were seated along an arched window next to all the other diners. There was an entire restaurant that looked far more glamorous yet it was full of empty tables. I have no idea who they were saving those tables for! I would've thought that the section we were in was for walk-ins. The "nice" part didn't fill up the entire time we were there. Currently the view is obscured due to what I think is construction at the moment, it would've been nice to know as this place brags about the view and the nearby water. Worst of all was that with our seats we had the opportunity to view the kitchen staff who did not follow good cleanliness procedures. One line person, the final one doing the food, kept picking up his phone (have they read about how dirty one's cell phone is?) all night and then touching food without gloves. He ran his hands through his hair and touched his face all night long. It was disgusting. The service was horrendous. Our server didn't have any eagerness to serve and when he saw the steak was untouched because it was overcooked and inedible, he didn't inquire if something was wrong. A quality server and restaurant would've asked and then taken it off the bill. We paid the very expensive bill and got the you-know-what out of there. What a disgusting meal. The only nice thing we can say is that the trout appetizer was quite good. Who knows what kind of germs we imbibed, but we lived.

Yelp
Quite good. As an American it's always interesting to have fish in Oz as it differs to what we have. The food was delicious though I thought the oysters were quite different ... less sweet. I had the kingfish which was really nicely prepared. Great place on the water in Darling Harbor. Service was very good. I'd go back.

Yelp
Friendly service, average food with high prices. I was surprised that a two chef hat restaurant doesn't have its own bathroom. Nothing wrong with the meal but I would expect more.

Yelp
The Balmain Bugs were marvellous, the tartare trevally was different but very good whilst the chicken was actually quite a surprise ( in a great way ). The wine list was very extensive, if somewhat pricey. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Yelp
So the first thing you need to know is that it is expensive. Four of us all had the Cirrus menu which is 6 courses at NZ$110 pp, so plus wine you're talking a reasonably substantial bill. I say it is worth it, my wife a little less convinced. Let me just say that I found all courses extremely tasty and probably not what you might find elsewhere. The menu is derived from the regular appetizers and main courses so you can have a delicious meal there for quite a lot less, but the menu is a sensory delight. I'm sorry that I can't describe each individual course in much detail, but there was a salad with tiny green tomatoes "popping" with flavor, a mousse, delicious fish filets, wagyu beef and a chocolate/nut cake for dessert (plus one more dish that I'm overlooking). Only negative was they should have replaced the plates between all courses, not just (I think) twice. Location outside CBD in new area of the town, this also means less crowded and noisy Btw, my wife only less convinced because she is not so keen on spending so much on any meal but (once in a while) why not!

Yelp
Staff were lovely and so helpful, but the food was a total let down. We heard great things about this restaurant, but would not recommend it to anyone. Don't bother
