Google
I love it when we stumble onto a great new restaurant without much effort - and that would be Cisco's! We were greeted by the friendly host, seated quickly and had our food ordered quickly. I had the shrimp taco plate - the tacos were stuffed with plump shrimp and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked. We will definetly be back for the Sunday brunch.

Google
I have lived locally for close to a decade now. During this time, I have been coming to this Cisco location often. I'd say, of all of the places we frequent, this is the most or close second of the frequented restaurants. One thing I like about coming here is that we are seated fast, and great ambiance and prices. It seems no matter when we come, there is always a good amount of people here having a great time. It does appear that things haven't been as busy lately, but still a good amount of people. Talking about people, there are always plenty of staff out and about helping. Whether it is the servers taking orders, and making sure you're doing good, or the server's helpers bringing out the free chips and salsas Another reason I enjoy the server's helpers, they always make sure we are comfortable. We enjoy sitting outside in the afternoons, and they have plenty of outside heat lamps. These helpers make sure you're warm on those cold days. For the most part, all of the staff here have been and are very friendly, which is a plus nowadays. Moving on to their prices and food. We normally only come during happy hour, and the prices and food are good. We have tried several items on their happy hour menu, but lately, we have been gravitating to the TJ street tacos and the sampler platter. The dishes are good considering the price point and considering this is bar food. Another great thing is that this food has always been consistent, and that too is a huge positive in today's economy. I look forward to continuing to come here. UPDATE: Websites didn't even know they decorate very nicely for Christmas and even hosted a night where Santa comes to visit the kids and take pictures. We came on that night and our family had a wonderful and very memorable time. We will continue coming and look forward to next year.

Kathy H.

Google
Friendly staff, good food and atmosphere! Ate enchiladas rancheras and a margarita. Would definitely return! During holiday time, there was a Santa for kids and roaming musicians who would play music table side upon request.

Lucy L.

Google
The chips and salsa hit the spot! If you're in the mood for drinks, this place is a solid choice—especially during happy hour. The food is tasty, though it wouldn’t make my personal top ten. That said, if you're after a lively sports bar vibe with good eats and great drinks, this is definitely the place to be

Rebecca Stone B.

Google
We love going here for Happy Hour and also special occasions. The patio is lovely. The atmosphere is always positive. The wait staff are always kind and helpful. Service is amazing. Food is always delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinner or lunch. Even just for a quick bite and a drink of your choice after a long day out is wonderful. Can't say enough good things about Cisco's. Always our first choice for Mexican food. Great prices during Happy hour and regular hours.

Brett V.

Google
I will preface this by saying the last time I came to Ciscos was about twenty years ago and I was served what I forever called string cheese enchiladas. It was terrible!... However! I just went back andIt was delicious! The service was excellent and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is loud, be it in the bar or dining room, but the food was great and the staff attentive! It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday night but everything that was ordered was received in a timely fashion. I would say that the food is moderately priced but far surpassed there cost with quality! They have definitely upped their game in the last twenty years. Will be coming back again! Update... They do need to perfect their Spanish rice, as it is not that at all! Cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, tomato sauce... It's not rocket science.

Steve S.

Google
Very Good. Burritos and Customer service on point..Thank you to the Employee who took our Photo. Appreciate it!

Rebecca C.

Google
I’ve been to Cisco’s many times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience. Normally I get my own plate but because the portions are so generous I shared with my dad. We shared the beef stuffed peppers (don’t remember the name on the menu) but it’s basically like a chili relleno with meat. It was serviced with 2 peppers and a side of rice and beans. It was DELICIOUS! The outside layer on the pepper held together nicely. The flavor was delicious. My aunt got an ala carte taco and enchilada and my mom got an ala carte chicken enchilada and fish taco. We were all full but not stuffed and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will keep coming back!

Yelp
Cisco's is 100% our go-to Mexican restaurant. We used to go to Julio's in Westlake (I believe it was the same owner) and also Cisco's when it was located on Westlake Blvd. Anyway, locals will know that those two restaurants closed years ago and we now have Cisco's on Avenida de Los Arboles. We absolutely love that Cisco's does fresh, made-to-order table side guacamole - a must for our family! I'm not aware of any other restaurant doing this. One of our absolute fave dishes is the Pescado Tomatillo. Super fresh, excellent fish dish. Also the Carne Tampiqueno. They always cook the steak exactly as I want it, and the cheese enchilada is delish. They will do substitutions, salsa/sauce on the side, whatever you want. Never a problem. I know this may seem silly but we always prefer to sit in a booth rather than a table. Just more comfy for us. And Cisco's has plenty. A lot of the other Mexican restaurants just have tables or bar stools. We've always had great, friendly service and the wait staff remember us. We highly recommend!
google avatar

Sophie G.

Yelp
The ambiance is great with a fun Mexican fiesta vibe and a full bar. Outdoor dining is also a nice option. Even though it's located in a strip mall, the space is large enough that it doesn't feel like it. Service was on point. I ordered a cocktail that was made incorrectly, but the waiter quickly fixed it without any hassle. As for the food, it was average. Nothing stood out as spectacular, but everything was good. We had the fajitas, some tacos, and enchiladas. The fajitas were heavy on grilled veggies and light on protein, which was a little disappointing. That said, I'd definitely come back with a group for happy hour and appetizers. The lively, party vibe makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy drinks with friends.

Yelp
Emma is amazing! She's always so kind, attentive, and makes us feel right at home every time we visit. We love coming back to Cisco's to see her -- she's the best!

Brooke G.

Yelp
We had a perfect Sunday afternoon watching football and having drinks. And we had a delicious dinner! Our server, Emma, was great and the bartender Gracie was adorable. We will be back again soon!
google avatar

Gary R.

Yelp
Awesome HH at Cisco's outside with the band Vinyl Tap!!! Our waitress Ava is Awesome too!!!

Jason S.

Yelp
We absolutely love coming to Cisco's, and a huge part of that is because of Emma! She's hands-down one of the best waitresses -- always so friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes every visit special. It's such a treat to see her familiar smile every time we come in. She's the reason we keep coming back!

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
Love going to Ciscos especially when there's a sporting event on. The burritos are awesome and my favorite is the chicken chimichanga. However, if it weren't for the server Emma, we probably would explore other restaurants. She is so professional and personable that she is part of the reason, in fact a main reason, we return.

Yelp
I haven't been to Cisco in a while, but I met my girlfriend there and we had such a fabulous time. The food was great. The service was great. It was a good crowd. It really felt like a family restaurant. Beautiful patio to sit on, thank you to everybody we met that night. We'll be back.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my hubby and our kids. I think this is my new favorite restaurant. Loved the food, loved the margarita and I loved the ambiance.

Yelp
Cisco's Mexican food is always delicious. Conveniently located Just off the 23 & 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks. Sunday's are my daughter and my get together day fur breakfast to catch up on events it's of the week. This Sunday we chose Cisco's! For Brunch, plenty of food, included mimosa's. I of course had to try a spoonful of everything, chips, Refried Beans, Rice. Chili Verde, Cheese Enchilada and fresh shrimp. For dessert I helped myself to a cup of fresh fruit. Dine inside or insulated patio. They had a fan blowing that kept it nice and cool. Food is delicious, Hostess & Server friendly. Family oriented, dress casual, relaxing. I highly recommend trying Cisco's. Check it out!!!!
google avatar

Rudy H.

Yelp
Enjoyed the Sunday Brunch at Cisco's. Very authentic Mexican food. They have a large variety of different Mexican food dishes to choose from including carnitas, enchiladas and Chile verde. The menudo and the chile rellenos were very good. Recommend the huevos rancheros. The service was very friendly and made good conversation with the staff. They have many televisions to watch sports in the main dining area and bar. The restaurant does not stand out from other Mexican restaurants. Very typical in that respect. Buen Provecho.

Yelp
Wonderful service, great atmosphere! Great hometown restaurant! The food is always good.

Ann B.

Yelp
The ambience and decor are great! The food is terrible. I've been there 4 times and still find nothing has any flavor . It is not appetizing at all. I will not go back! People friendly

Yelp
Our go to weekly spot. Always great food and equally GREAT Service for over 9 years! Our happy place....always...... Francine and Kevin
google avatar

Jeremy X.

Yelp
The best Sunday brunch Menudo! I come here specifically for this, would not suggest coming on holidays because they skimp out with the side ingredients such as the dried oregano and other fixins, but on any other Sunday it's just amazing. Great ambiance and service. Good prime rib too!
google avatar

Aly Rose M.

Yelp
Service is terrible - even more so if you are in the bar area and not a "regular". Don't waste your time.
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
We always like coming here. The food is consistently good and so are the drinks. The staff is attentive and caring.
google avatar

Nancy S.

Yelp
Cisco's has Mole Chicken on their menu now! It's delicious and half a chicken. Would love it if the mole had a bit more spice, but happy that they are adding this to the menu.

Lauri K.

Yelp
Food was cold, server was rude and acted like we were inconveniencing him, food was over-priced! Ambiance was mediocre.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Terrible service! Went in for Happy Hour and waited 15 minutes for a waitress. Finally got her attention & asked about getting something off the Happy Hour menu which she informed us was over. Tried to explain we had been waiting to be served. Mind you it's now a few minutes after six. We're told we will need to order off the regular menu?? I ask to speak to the manager and he basically says the same thing. I try to explain but we get nowhere. It's very sad to think one bad experience ruins years of going here. The waitress waiting on us had an attitude from the get go. How hard would it have been to still honor the Happy Hour prices? She did get her way and it cost Cisco's two long time customers.

Yelp
We always enjoy going to Ciscos on Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks. Dinner is always delicious. We have found it is a great place to enjoy lunch also. The staff from Felix the manager to waiters like Eric and Agie have always given outstanding service along with being fun and engaging! Everyone who works at Ciscos seems to be part of a caring family! I highly recommend this Restraurant whether you want a quiet meal with friends or family or join in the lively music on the patio on weekends! Great place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other success events!
google avatar

Yelp
Cisco's is my every Friday lunch along with two margaritas. The bar tender Tanya is amazing!!! The drinks the best and service is outstanding!! I love you guys! There's a Latino guy that serves my salsa and chips and this guys is so friendly, I feel like his my relative. Shakes my hand, serves my chips and salsa with a smile. I cannot say enough about this place . The guys name is Bernabé. Love you guys!! When I retire I asked Tanya to reserve a chair for me at the bar with all the other old farts. Hahaha!!

Dotty J.

Yelp
Friendly, amazing, attentive service! Delicious food for a reasonable price! We like how all the servers and runners pay attention to everyone's needs--drinks and chips refilled.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
Cisco's has become our favorite Friday family dinner spot! Always delicious food, fantastic service and lovely music.
google avatar

Cyndie H.

Yelp
So a man fell and hit his head, knee and shin and was immediately bruised and bleeding. It took 4 1/2 minutes to get a manger to come out and help. Really??!!

Deanne H.

Yelp
I'm not sure why ciscos has so many mixed reviews... we have been going here almost every other week for several months and the food is consistently good. Salsa is delicious- chips are good- margaritas are amazing! The service is usually very quick unless they are crazy busy. I feel like this is understandable since all the food needs to be cooked. They have lots of outdoor TVs for sport events and THE BEST picnic tables for kids! Our kiddos can have space to walk around a bit on the grass. The happy hour prices are hard to beat! We love ciscos and will continue to support a great local restaurant :) We have had good gluten free luck with the street tacos! The chips are made in a shared fryer so wouldn't recommend them if celiac. Favorite: street tacos with shrimp- a bit more $ but they are absolutely perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
5stars great service great customer service love the experience on this restaurant first time coming, I definitely recommend for any event
google avatar

Marc H.

Yelp
We went to Brunch last Sunday. The variety of food was excellent and the flavor/taste was very good. Well worth the $28. Service was very attentive. Get there at 10am when it opens. When we left at 11:30 the lines were long.

Mr S.

Yelp
Terrible Service!!!! Been coming here for years, however the service in bar area has progressively dropped. We waited 20 minutes, for service, as waiters walked by without acknowledging us. Finally I flagged someone down who took our initial order, but never returned. Food quality and portions have also gone down. In reading the other comments, Management needs to wake up and save their business!
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
We ordered takeout here a few weeks ago, and the order could not have been more wrong. Missing the ceviche platter completely. Fish and shrimp tacos instead of carne asada. Quesadilla was not plain, and that was disappointing for my daughter. It was definitely a bummer to get all the way home, not have dinner, and have to go there and back to get the missing items. Gotta give credit to the hostess, though, who was very sweet and impossible to be upset with. It's hard to get my hubby to go here because most of the items don't feel like authentic Mexican fare. Lots of fried stuff and melted cheese. Probably wouldn't rush back here next time I'm craving Mexican, but I will say - the happy hour really hits the spot sometimes, and they know what they're doing when it comes to chips and salsa.

Evan B.

Yelp
Always have great experiences at Ciscos. Complimentary chips and salsa are fresh and replenished quickly. I like the combination plate which has a good variety and is reasonably priced. All the servers we have had are attentive. Definitely give it a try.
google avatar

Melinda B.

Yelp
I came here with a friend for lunch we were greeted as soon as we walked thru the door and were seated immediately. It's a little dark indoors but they do offer outdoor seating . We were handed menus and asked if we wanted any drinks . We were given enough time that when our drinks were brought to us we were able to place our orders . There was a large party going on and our waiter was called to assist but he let us know and he sent people to check on us periodically. I never had to request a refill . I ordered a combination platter and it came with rice and beans . I enjoyed it - everything tasted fresh and came hot . There is a large parking lot in-front that has plenty of parking available. There is bar seating and there are televisions scattered throughout the restaurant so that no matter where you sit you have a decent view . They offer catering and take out . It's a Nice place to hold an event and they have live music throughout the month . This place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Thousand Oaks area and have a taste for some Mexican food .

B B.

Yelp
I always have a great time at Cisco's. The servers are always friendly. The guacamole made table side is a nice treat. The food is good. The restaurant is clean. There a mariachi band that goes around to the tables playing music. I find this a little awkward though because a lady comes and asks you if you want them to play for you and if you say no she always looks super disappointed. Although many people seem to enjoy having them play at their table.

Gary X.

Yelp
Horrible service and the food has gotten worse over the years. Shouldn't have to wait an hour for food in an empty restaurant nor should you be called "gringo" as a term of endearment by waiters.

J L.

Yelp
This is an update. I have been back a few times since my first review and thought it fair to give better credit where it's due. I don't go to Cisco's for the ambience. The bar is popular, based on it being generally crowded when I pass by. I don't go in. Most importantly to me, it's a great value. That is, if you go during the twilight hours and order from the twilight menu. The food is good (though not to be mistaken for high end Mexican) and the service is almost always good and the staff attentive. Edgar was my wait person most recently and dealing with him was a pleasure. I will go back soon.

Carol R.

Yelp
Awesome food and service. Beautiful family. Austin is lucky to have them. Everything is so good, it's hard to choose.
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
It was very crowded during to fire and power outage! Food was good. Though! Service was good though !

Lilly A.

Yelp
We just had our big work event lunch at Cisco for 250 people with a great menu and service. Great variety of food for our teammates - Love the holiday decor making it a festive happy event for us. Thank you to their entire staff

Margaret C.

Yelp
Cisco's is our neighborhood Cheers. Since Felix became manager a few years ago, the food, service and ambiance have all become top notch. The servers are prompt and friendly, the food comes out quickly and is always hot and well prepared. There's no where we'd rather be on a Friday night.

Emily F.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. The food is authentic, great drinks, amazing service. Solid happy hour, great dinner with mariachi band, and such a good brunch! Cisco's is my family's favorite spot in the Conejo Valley. The memories we've made here are endless.
google avatar

Sam T.

Yelp
Ok so I came to ciscos for the day to treat my kiddos and have a good day with my buddy and my wife after a long week. This dude Erick was perfect with his service! Like stupid perfect! He kept us on point with drink and food orders. Even as little as asking upon order requesting ranch it came with the food which for me is rare. Normally need to ask again while your food gets colder and colder waiting for it. Anyhow, that dude deserves great tips, he earns them.

Brielle W.

Yelp
The best Mexican food in Thousand Oaks. Come here with my dad and sister all the time, service and food is amazing and staff is the best!!!
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
Great brunch, good quality and bank for your buck free flow and champagne. Need I say more
google avatar

Brent O.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my fish taco, it's pretty standard. Little man had a lobster enchilada. He said it had a good amount of lobster, just wished it would more evenly spread out. The sauce on it was really good, not over powering, but just enough to add a little. I would say the salsa that came with the chips could have been more spicy, but that's just me. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Kami M.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Service is awesome Ambiance can't be beat! I would highly recommend Cisco's

Valerie S.

Yelp
Wonderful Saturday afternoon at Ciscos in Thousand Oaks. Wonderful music, margaritas and service by our compadre Carlos. Did I mention the margaritas?

V R.

Yelp
Best margaritas and chips & salsa!!! Food and drink are consistently good. Great outdoor seating. Best Mexican food in town. Highly recommend!

SD C.

Yelp
My husband and I always enjoy dining at Cisco's. The food is delicious and the service is always good. The staff is always very friendly and helpful! We enjoy their twilight dinners as well as their happy hour. They also have a fabulous Sunday buffet! I would highly recommend trying them out if you haven't already done so.

Angela H.

Yelp
The service at Ciscos is always amazing! The bartenders Angie and Sammy pour the best drinks and are always friendly and efficient! It is our favorite place in Thousand Oaks.
