Had a few drinks at Citizen Cider on Saturday afternoon. The ciders I tried were okay, I would recommend sticking to basics. However, they need to get their seating and ordering system improved to not drive people away.
Quality: During our visit I tried four of their Ciders. I started with Unified Press, their flagship, which was probably my favorite of the day. The Baker's Dozen, a cider donut inspired flavor was too sweet and seemed to miss out on cinnamon as an addition. The Coddiwompler, a hazy passion fruit cider was extremely intense and not for me, definitely a try before you buy. Finally, we had Brose a rose style with blueberries was a good pick when looking for something a little more out there, but still cider at its core. Honestly, the way the food looked, it would be the bigger draw for me to return than the cider.
Quantity: Standard pours, flights were a little on the light end.
Value: $8 for a Draft Pour. $10 for a Flight.
Ambiance: Citizen Cider is a restaurant and cidery located south of downtown Burlington. They are on the second floor of a building, which has a wrap around deck with outdoor seating. Once inside they have the bar to the right and then a large dining area, and they have a second dining area towards the back. They decorated for Halloween with a few of the staff members really going all out.
Crowd: Not as packed as you would think for a place with a massive wait.
Service: Chaotic. Also, not clear why they left so many tables open and kept a long wait list.
Parking: Large shared parking lot.
