Such an amazing place with the most delicious pizza in the US!🍕 Big plate Of fresh salad and a whole round if pizza for $16:) pizza is baked in the brick oven on from a thin dough like in Italy. The posters and overal design is pleasing. Something to recommend! Definitely come back ☺️

Google
I have been looking for good or better pizza in CLE and Citizen Pie delivered. This is not the bulk quantity pizza you feed kids for a bday party like doninoes or costco this is high quality, fresh tasty pizza. We had a seat at the countertop bar and watched the pizza master spread out the dough, add toppings and slide a few pies into their legit wood fired pizza oven. Bam a few minutes later pulled these steaming pies out sliced em up and served it up nice show to watch btw. Crust is a 10, perfect. I like uneven dough edges slight crust to soft with a touch of char here and there. Ingredients are all high quality, sayce was perfect too not sweet. Really really great pizza!!

Google
Don’t sleep on Citizen Pie! Awesome spot for a weekday lunch outing. Pizzas come out pretty fast and I can usually find a parking spot on the street right outside. The pizza is great; a nice chewy Neapolitan-style crust (with toasty bubbles for you dough-heads) with the freshest cheese and toppings. There’s an affordable lunch special that includes a one-topping pizza, salad, and a drink for $15. Add in a great disco/funk soundtrack and vintage eps of Price Is Right on the TV and you’ve got a nice little escape from the workday!

Dining in seemed like it would be a fun experience. I was not impressed with the pizza, except for the crust, had that nice crunchy brick oven flaky crust, and flavor profile, but it was floppy and most of the ingredients were still in a relatively uncooked state. Quality was decent so it had that going for it which places it still above many, but overall a WIP.

This past Saturday was my first time trying this place with a friend, I was excited to try it as it looked good but my experience was far from. I ordered the little Italy because it comes with Italian sausage and my friend got a build your own pizza with two chef salads. The pizzas came out quick so quick that they didn’t start to make the salads for around 15 min after, I was confused by this as I would of liked the salads first but whatever.. my friends pizza was missing the Barratta cheese that he ordered and when brought to the pizza maker’s attention he just scooped cold cheese piles on his pizza.. my little Italy pizza was missing the Italian sausage that I didn’t even notice because it was one of there specialty pizzas and I’ve never been before so I didn’t realize it while I was there, makes sense once I realized it as it was too plain. I emailed them with my issue and have had no response, for the price (over &50 w no drinks) there’s definitely better options in Cleveland. They missed other customers toppings while we were there and saw them act rude to the customers when they brought it to their attention. Disappointing first experience would not return or recommend them.

Google
Finally - some great Neapolitan style pizza in Cleveland. Fluffy doughy crust done right with fresh toppings and unique combinations. Loved the Mushroom and the cacio e pepe pizzas, and kids loved the plain cheese and single topping pizzas. Great service too! One of our pizzas came out of the oven overdone and they remade it before it even got to us, came out to let us know before the others came out. Standard pizzeria atmosphere. Some beer and wine available. Grab some red pepper flakes or Hot Honey off the shelf to add a kick or make it sweet and spicy. Will be back!

Google
Delicious!! The chef salad was giant and meaty and only $6! The pizzas were very good. My fav was the margarita. We were able to park right out front on the street which was nice. The service was amazing- so quick and super nice guys. Definitely want to return!

Google
One of the best wood fired pizzas I've tried. The crust has an excellent flavor and texture, the toppings are delicious and fresh, and it's all baked perfectly so you get some char and crunch without tasting burnt. Not much seating in the restaurant, but most of the orders were carryout when I ate there.

Alaina D.

Yelp
The pizza was very good and the staff was super nice. We went on a really messy night but everyone in the store was very warm and welcoming. No complaints!

Brittany K.

Yelp
I guess I have high standards for a wood fired pizza place because my local one (nights & weekends) is what we were looking to upgrade. Still haven't found one... The pizza at citizens was a little under cooked, they used way too much corn starch on the crust and the toppings were laid on top thick leaving the pizza soggy. Sauce was quite watery. I will say that the waitress/pie maker was very friendly and attentive given we were the only customers there. She did turn on the browns game for us to boot!

Mallory L.

Yelp
They were open during a snowstorm (but planning to close early) so I ran inside to finally try their food. Very nice, clean, and trendy interior. Order at the counter, and pizza was brought to the table. Pizza came out very quickly, when I first got it I had to wait a little because the toppings were sliding off. Taste was nice, a little burnt on the sides as you see in the picture below. Good quality ingredients, very similar to most "fired" type of restaurant pizzas. I've had this spot on my list to try for years after I read about the Lithuanian owner's story. Business finally took me to Cleveland so I'm glad to finally cross it off the list.

Allen H.

Yelp
Ordering was easy, it was ready when we arrived, it was perfectly cooked and exceptionally tasty, and the service was extraordinarily friendly. Thanks, neighbors, for a great dinner!

Albert T.

Yelp
We dropped by Citizen Pie for a weekend lunch to see what other Neapolitan-style pizza places could offer after eating at Vero Pizza the previous night. We placed an online order right when they opened at 11:30AM, went inside and waited to see the pizza making magic. They take a dough ball, flatten and twirl it, then add some toppings. It's placed in the oven - the website claims only a 90 second cook time, but we timed it and it took around 210 seconds, plus an additional couple of seconds where they used the pizza peel to raise the pie towards the top of the oven. Perhaps since we went so early, the oven wasn't up to temperature yet? At any rate, the pizza was cooked pretty much perfectly. We opened the box and started digging in maybe only a minute or two after receiving the pizza. Americano ($18) - There's a bit of char on the crust, with a cornicione that rises up an inch or so and is a bit crisp on the exterior skin. The rise and flavor in the crust is a little less developed than Vero, but is still pretty good. There's a sprinkling of seasoning and salt on the crust. The toppings include a layer of pistachio cream spread evenly on the bottom, then topped with mozzarella, Italian sausage, red onion, green onion, calabrian chilis, and whole pistachios. There is a ton of cheese that gives a good cheese pull. The ingredients are ample and heavy, causing the middle crust to be floppy and the toppings easily slide off (normal for this type of pizza). The pizza overall is quite a bit on the salty side and the tastes kind of meld together and become muddled. We probably should have gone with one of the simpler and more traditional pizzas like the margherita, but we wanted to try something a bit different. (4/5) Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Hand dryer only. As a side note - I don't know if it's just the style of Cleveland pizza website or something, but the story of the pizzaiolo at Citizens Pie sounds even more pretentious than Vero. "Tonight V will wake again in the small hours, explain to his wife, 'I have to make pizza...'" Seriously, who says stuff like this? Citizen Pie puts out some good, but not outstanding Neapolitan-style pizzas. In my opinion, it's not nearly as good as Vero, but it's certainly way more affordable ($13 for margherita here, $24 at Vero). I think it's a good visit if you're in Ohio City or around some of the other locations.

Yelp
$19 for this. They didn't even melt the cheese the rest of the way as I'm sure they realized something had gone wrong. THEN, I tried to call and they wouldn't answer the phone. There are so many great pizza places. Why put up with this?

Michael H.

Yelp
We had a group of engineers in from Japan and they wanted American style pizza. Since there are multiple we just chose on close to the job site. Since we were rained out we opted to have a late lunch so we had the whole place to ourselves. We split four delicious pies. They were awesome. Since we were done for the day we also had beer with the pies. Drink selection is limited to canned or bottle drinks. No drink fountain and by the lack of parking I am guess most of the business is carryout. Parking was also challenging. The vibe is very eclectic with lots of pix and posters of left wing and communist propaganda so definitely fits the current college scene. Other than poor decoration and politics the place is great. Oh they definitely do not give the food or beer away so poster are Socialist/Communist but the it is definitely a capitalist business. Great food.

Mary B.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience! I ordered food, it arrived on time, delivered by a very kind gentleman, and it was DELICIOUS!! We devoured our Citizen Pies, and were even told by passersby with- envy in their eyes- that it looked incredible

Jeff R.

Yelp
First off, it indicates that Yelpers have indicated this establishment is closed. No, that is not the case as of Sat. 7/8/23. In fact, the hours listed on the door indicated they are open for lunch every day that they are open (I believe, although don't quote me on it). Ventured in on a late afternoon Saturday (maybe around 4 pm). We were the only ones in there. Order at the counter, take a seat and they bring you the goods. First off, let's get the bad out of the way. We ordered two salads - house salad and a Caesar salad. They give you a "Ken's Steakhouse" packet as your dressing of choice. The croutons came from a bag. The parmesan for the Caesar was powdered, probably from an institutional bag/can. Clearly obvious, they have no desire to put any emphasis into their salads. Good news, they were only $4. I highly recommend making in-house a couple of dressings and buy a chunk of parm. reggiano. For croutons, use some leftover dough. Step up your salad game. Beverages - there is a small cooler. My wife chose the "White wine" on tap and said it was awful. Again, to me, a very quick fix. You could upgrade you beverage focus with a few quality names. Why not make some additional money from salads and beverages. Now let's get to the good news, which is the main reason you are going there. The pizzas!!! We got the Ham and Cheese (white sauce) and the Diavola (red sauce). They were very, very good. Wood fired crust was superb. Incredibly tasty. Would highly recommend you going in to try their pizzas. Overall, well worthy of a visit for some of the better pizzas in north east ohio!

Matt R.

Yelp
Definitely a solid pizza option here in Cleveland. Probably in my top 5 or so. Pizzas are always fresh made to order. Service is quick. The inside is set as a small intimate pizza shop. Definitely a good pie if your close by

The F.

Yelp
First time. Had the Americano. Wasn't anything special to me. When you try something new you really want your taste buds to explode with new and unfamiliar flavors but it didn't with this pizza. BUT the place isn't too far from me. It's a nice place and the two guys behind the counter were nice and I had my pizza within minutes of ordering. There are several more pizza's I'd like to try so I will go back.

Antonio P.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the pizza at Citizen Pie, and I'm looking forward to returning. I ordered the Caccio e Pepe-- it came out quickly and had the perfect amount of char. While the crust could be a little crispier and fluffier, it was still delicious, and I look forward trying even more of their pizzas. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the pop/rock music creates a perfect atmosphere to hang out while eating a pizza. If you're in Ohio City and craving pizza, I'd definitely recommend stopping by.

Linda R.

Yelp
The pizza was superb, with a thin delicious crust and smoky pepperoni. The salad was generous. The staff was helpful and casual. My only complaint was that the light fixtures were dusty. I will definitely return!

Jason J.

Yelp
Food was great! We got the Mushroom specialty with a mushroom cream sauce. So good. Wood fired brick oven gives it a Smokey flavor. Crust is good. Only one size but enough for two people. Priced right. Don't go too late though they may run out! Speaks volumes of how much business they do. The motif is cool! Service was good they were busy. You have to order yourself but they will bring it out and serve you. Can't wait to go back and try the other flavors.

Ailin J.

Yelp
Got three pizzas for takeout and they were pretty good! A little pricey compared to other pizza places but worth it for being a little bit more unique! Their pizzas have a wide variety of toppings and flavors you may not see normally. We got the little Italy, mushroom, and spinach. Little Italy had a perfect amount of spice/kick making it my favorite. The red onions in the mushroom and spinach really added another flavor dimension! The bacon pieces were large and were not just crusty burnt like you would expect which was awesome. Also love that these are thin crust allowing us to eat more pizza :) They do seem understaffed and busy but that is what's happening across the whole city with employment so be patient with you order!

Jeremiah T.

Yelp
So I will say that they do use fresh ingredients and their Ceasar salad is amazing and tasted fresh. Service was fast and you can watch them make the pizza in front of you. Very clean and nice establishment, however the pizza itself was bland, great presentation but lacked flavor big time !

Tiffany W.

Yelp
I can't believe how long I've lived in Cleveland without ever having been to Citizen Pie! Seriously a hidden gem / underrated restaurant of Cleveland. There's a good variety of red & white pizza options on the menu but you can always customize your own pizza if you don't see one that appeals to you. I ended up getting a custom red pizza with spinach and mushrooms because I wanted some vegetables but honestly the most memorable thing about the pizza is how incredibly chewy their dough is! Seriously, if you have not had the pizza here yet, I highly recommend you come try it out. I was surprised they weren't more busy when I came on a Friday night for dinner, but regardless service is quick (you order first at the cashier) and the pizzas come out fast! I didn't order any with my visit this time but I saw that they also offer some beers/wines you can enjoy with your meal. Overall, great spot and I would definitely come back in the future whenever I'm craving some delicious pizza!

Steven B.

Yelp
Finally got to try the Ohio City Citizen Pie during Pizza Week. This location is a bit bigger then the original, decor is a wall full of photos and posters. There is a long bar around the kitchen and a number of small tables. I ordered the $8 margherita pizza; a nice sized pie topped with grated and fresh mozzarella cheese, sauce and fresh basil. All of the ingredients are high quality and the extremely hot wood fired oven cooks the pies very quickly and manages to bring all the elements together. The pie is simple, but the cheese has great flavor, which is highlighted by the puddles of sweet tomato sauce and pungent basil. The star of the pie is the incredible crust; just thick enough to support the toppings it is is slightly chewy on the outside and the perfectly soft on the inside. The high heat adds some slightly seared portions with a smokey flavor. Citizen Pie offers a superior pizza, high quality ingredients all cooked in a true wood fired oven. The Ohio City location has beer and wine available and also has special pricing at lunch and during happy hour. If you want a really great pizza give Citizen Pie a try.

Samantha B.

Yelp
DoorDashed on a Saturday, but they left out a few of my items. I ended up getting a refund but I was still bummed. The pizza was good, but the price just wasn't worth it for me

Joe W.

Yelp
So far the best pizza I have had in Cleveland. The pepperoni is very good! The pizza was also ready very quickly and the staff is friendly

Jpb T.

Yelp
I came to Citizen Pie on a busy Friday night during busy Scene Magazine Cleveland Pizza Week. The staff were working extra hard being short staffed. This location is right down the street from the historic West Side Market.

Evan F.

Yelp
Came in for Cleveland Pizza Week...and they were slammed! Long wait, but was worth it. All their pies are wood-fired and made on the spot, hence some of the wait time. Menu is super simple...pies, salads and a few other items including bottled beers and some on tap. We placed our order and settled in with our drinks while we watched the magic happen in their open-air space. We ordered the two "special" pies for the week...a margherita and a spicy pepperoni. Both crusts were charred just right and had great chew. Their sauce is a blend of slightly sweet and slightly tangy, leaning towards my preference. The spicy pepperoni pie is where it's at, let me tell you! Anxious to get back and try other offerings they have.

Ira K.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while. So they just reopened on 4/29/22, i can't say anything about this place that hasn't already been said. If you like fresh made pizza this is the place and we watched them chop the lettuce for the salad and not from a bag.

Sheena W.

Yelp
Stopped in one weekend afternoon. Chill vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. Since I always get the Pepe and they didn't have the Figgy Piggy, I went crazy and got the Mushroom $16, but without mushrooms on it. (I just can't do chunks of that mushy fungus.) Not a cheap pie, and I don't eat the crust, but it was good. Bacon makes anything good though. I tried a little red sauce on the side: straight up if you picked a tomato and pureed it that would give you this sauce. I like my tomatoes covered up with spices and other flavors. I'll be honest, I'm more of a Detroit style pizza fan, but Citizen Pie wins it for Wood-Fired style.

Fenna B.

Yelp
This store isn't closed, they're just incredibly bad at running a business. Why even have hours when you don't have enough food for those hours? They're not a food truck, parked somewhere for a rush. They are a full time, brick and mortar eatery, with listed hours that are fully ignored because they "sell out" of dough. Order more flour. Make more dough. Is the pizza good? Yeah, it's fine. However, the business model is some sort of weird, hipster marketing scheme designed to make people fear they're missing out...but the end result is the store missing out on orders.

Kate K.

Yelp
Gotta be honest... I'm confused by the hype on this one. I'm willing to give it a second try, but our first time here was definitely not great. My husband & I went in on a Friday night & were pleased to see that it wasn't too packed - just the right amount of busy-ness - but the four guys behind the bar just stared at us as we walked in - no one told us what the process was, whether we should seat ourselves, order from them, etc. Like, literally, they looked at us & then looked away... until we finally asked them. The guy who responded could not have sounded less friendly or enthusiastic. Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. We split the Little Italy pizza, topped with mozzarella, ground Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, red onions, basil, & oregano - a smallish pie for the $16 it costs, just six slices in total, but we weren't super hungry, so it was enough. It tasted pretty good - nice flavor, thin crust with chewy, doughy edges - but the pizza was just. so. wet. Yes, wet. Like, with water, it seemed. Was something not drained well enough? Was there not enough cheese to bind it? I have no idea, I'm not a pizza expert. All I know was that our pizza tasted good but wouldn't been a whole lot more pleasant to eat had it not been literally sopping wet. Once you picked it up, you had to, like, shove it in your face to finish it quickly or the whole thing fell apart from wetness & sogginess. No, thanks - especially not at that price. So, yeah. The pizza was in theory good, I liked the atmosphere, & the rose cider I got was delicious, but WHYYYY was the pizza so wet? Like I said, I'll try it again to see if this was an anomaly, but it overall, was just not a very pleasant food experience. I think I'll stick to Crust down the road in Tremont.

Teresa H.

Yelp
First time here and we loved it. Staff was great and everything was so fresh. Cacio E Pepe was so so good and I love that they have sugar cane coke. We ate at the bar and watched them work; it's insane how quick the oven is!! Definitely worth a visit. We got two pizzas and cokes and it came to $35. Well worth it!

Raul M.

Yelp
This is probably the best pizza place in town. Such quality, flavor and taste. If you haven't had it get to one soon! It's worth it.

Ashley C.

Yelp
As always, Citizen Pie has my heart in Cleveland. This location has pizza specials for every type of pizza ($10!) from 11:30am-6pm!! What! I am very jealous, as the Citizen Pie special only applied to marinara, margherita, and pepperoni in Waterloo. I could eat the mushroom pizza again and again. The pizza artisan even made a note that our dough was perfect, having little burnt freckles all over rather than a large bulb. I'm in love with this pizza and this dough and everything about Citizen Pie. I believe Ubereats made a video featuring the owner of Citizen Pie, including its history and craft. I'd recommend anyone who loves pizza or Citizen Pie to check it out.

Charles C.

Yelp
Best pizza I have ever had . Came in by accident and was pleasantly surprised. Look forward to coming back.

Kanika M.

Yelp
I thought the pies were a 5/5 however I encountered a couple hiccups with the restaurant. They were out of stracciatella which was disappointing but understandable, but when I arrived to pick up the pizzas they completely forgot to make one of them, although I had already paid for it. They gave us a free can of coke while we waited. Overall, the pizzas were great. My favorite was the spicy Diavola - I got it with sausage instead of the meat that came with it. I will definitely try Citizen Pie again and hopefully they have stracciatella!

Victoria S.

Yelp
I stopped by for a quick slice of the Margherita pizza. I was impressed with how fresh the ingredients were, especially the super sweet cherry tomatoes. Overall, a perfect small meal at a great price. Bathroom available on request (with a key).

Ray D.

Yelp
I am a pizza fanatic that has traveled across the country in search of great pizza. Citizens Pie did not disappoint. Great staff and atmosphere. Citizens Pie is in my top 5 for brick oven Pizza. I am Ray Parks (Pizza Fanatic) and I approve this message.

Bobbi R.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Great pizza. Fast service. Highly recommend. COVID safe practices too.

Gabi S.

Yelp
Extremely delicious pizza! The wait was not long at all, the size was perfect (couldn't finish), and the specials all looked fantastic! I got the white spinach, but tried both and loved them equally.

Manar A.

Yelp
It is with a heavy heart that I leave this review because I wanted to be a big fan of citizen pie. Wood oven pizza with great quality ingredients, doesn't get better... Or so I hopped. I can't continue to patronize this establishment due to their lack of regard for the customers, it usually takes about 15-20 mins for anyone to acknowledge their customers or great them. Even if there is no line!! A month ago I placed an order online for pick up, received an estimate of more than hour for pick up. I went to pick up my ONE pie at the time they specified, I was informed that they did not get my order (that I paid for already) and demand to see prof of payment. I had to wait another 45 mins for my pie. Went home, ate my pie and two hours later I got 5-6 calls from a random number. When I picked up it is citizen pie, informing me my pizza is ready... The one I just ate. Yesterday I placed another order online for one pie. I received an email notifying me that my pie will be ready in an hour. I go in to pick up my pie at the estimated time and lo and behold my pie was not ready. They ask me to wait 15 mins. I leave and come back in 30 mins and my pie was just being placed in the oven when I walked back in. Had to wait another 10 mins to pick up a burnt pie. Please see photos bellow. Such a disappoint over and over again. I live soo close to citizen pie and it has such great potential. Please work on customer and hire someone to be at the cash register to make sure that orders are taken and customers are greated... basics of food industry.

Sherri G.

Yelp
First class stone oven pizza. Stopped in for a "fast" lunch. The pizza choices are pre established not sure how open they are to creating your own as I did not see a list of toppings. The pizzas consist of white and red. As in red sauce or white as in no red but other bases. We chose 2. First a marinara off the red side which was a cheeseless choice with a nice depth of flavor without the dairy. Fresh basil made this pie very enjoyable. My husband chose a ham and cheese from the white side. We decided the topping qualities were wonderful. You can tell care and concern went into the selection of toppings. Evident as well as we watched a lunch only sandwich option being prepared as we stood in line to order. Size of the pizzas are enough to share. We saw a table if 3 with 3 pizzas and they had a lot to take home. Where we fell short was the flavor of the crust. We both agreed it just had no flavor. It came out crisp but the flavor just wasn't there. The young lady who took our order was pleasant. The 2 men never smiled and when we asked for a box we were lectured on how wood oven pizza was best eaten there. Yes understood but when running late you do what you have to do. I was able to crisp it back up in my oven no problem. The beverage situation is dismal. Would be better to have bottled waters as an option to the self serve water, and if you are going to offer bottled tea step up the game to a higher quality option.

Brady B.

Yelp
I've been on a quest with some friends to find the best pizza in Cleveland and Citizen Pie was a recommended eatery to try. Pros: super fast, I think the pizza oven cooks them something ridiculously fast like 2 minutes. Lots of pizza topping varieties - for people who like a more gourmet pizza experience with unique toppings and combinations, you'll be pleased here. Pizzas are mostly individual sized so you can order a few varieties. As a vegetarian, decent offerings and options of pizza combos for me. Cons: location is nice but not super comfortable for chilling and relaxing - more like a fast casual restaurant with harder seats. If you're looking for a classic cheese or pepperoni, it's nothing special here. We took a few pizzas to go, big mistake, they quickly got soggy in the box. You must eat the pizza on-site. The journey for an amazing pizza continues...

Ali L.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, yes! We were fans of this pizza shop on the east side, but this store opening on W.25th is the bees knees! My husband and I stopped in to try the cacio e pepe pie last night and it was just phenomenal. Crust was chewy and light. The cheese was sort and creamy. The hint of black pepper was perfect. Loved it! The staff was also awesome! Very hard working and friendly. I will recommend it to everyone!

Amelia R.

Yelp
Citizen's Pie took me by surprise! I have gone twice now and both times left saying I could come back. The fast casual restaurant still has service, but witht he super quick ovens the food is out in no time. They have wine and beer options, as well as sodas. They also have a happy hour deal on the pizzas! I have made my own and also gotten the suggest pizzas - go for those. Making my own had too many ingredients and the dough was a little soggy after it was cooked. The cacio e pepe was my personal fav, its a simple yet elevated 'za!

Quinton F.

Yelp
Here we go again... Another day, another chance to explore a new pizza place. And this one is a winner. This was delivery so I can only comment on the product. PHENOMENAL is my assessment. The ingredients are fresh and the combinations are exotic, yet reasonable. I ordered the Margherita, Smoked Pepperoni, Little Italy, and Create Your Own with mushrooms, all with red sauce. The entire office group raved about it. If you are a fan of thin crust and red sauce, I can vouch for them. Note they they do not deliver directly, so for delivery you will have to go through Uber Eats. There was a delivery issue, but I can't hold that against them. Other than that, the pizza was prepared quickly and accurately. If you haven't tried them yet, add them to your bookmark list of 'Must Try' in Cleveland.

Jon S.

Yelp
Heard about these guys and decided to stop by on a sat night. Was empty! A bit surprising but no complaints here. It's a block down from crop but on 25th.. was plenty of street parking though walking from the main strip wouldn't be bad either. Staff was immediately friendly and checked in on us a few times while we were there. 5 stars for them. We got the diavola and cacio e Pepe white pizza. Pizzas were made quickly - that 90 second cook time is no joke. We love the diavola from Beerheads for it's consistent heat and we're wondering what this would be like. The Diavola was good but unfortunately nothing special. There were traces of heat centered on the with peppers but other bites were mild. Maybe 3 stars for this one (so average). The cacio e Pepe on the other hand was pretty good. It was pretty soupy - a good amount of olive oil and the stracciatella. Would give this a 4-4.5 stars. The crust on both was nice and soft when you bit into it, but had enough crisp to hold a little form. You definitely need to fold the slices in half, then support the tip a bit to keep things from falling. The dough and bake get 4.5 stars. Overall, had a great experience. Would stop by if craving pizza while out in Ohio City. There are a lot of great pizza places popping up, and this is definitely one of them!

Remy G.

Yelp
Delicious pizza Neapolitan-style! The wait times can vary drastically though - came in one Sunday at 5pm, only took 15 minutes for our food to come out. Came in a different Sunday night at 6pm, waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Pretty good game pizza. Staff and owner were super nice We came from reviews but became true believers after we took our first bites. You can design your own.

Yelp
I've been a patron of the Waterloo location since they opened so we went to the west side location since it's closer. We generally order a few pies and a few drinks so together we spend $60. Experience at the new location was NOT so great! Staff was not friendly and more rude than usual! Pizza was soggy in the middle on all 2 of 3 pies! (Seriously how does this even happen) For the price, the pizza should be on point. Also, I hope you don't order anything spicy because you'll have to buy horrible tasting cardboard boxed water since they don't offer tap. It's pretty unfriendly to not off free water from the tap. I'm sure cleaning glasses or getting disposable cups does not cost much when factoring in that you're charging so much for pizza. The whole experience has left a bad taste in our mouths.

Yelp
Omg . This place lived up to the hype for sure ! We wanted to go forever and decided that on a rainy day here in Cleveland, pizza sounded good. The pies are cooked to perfection and my kids were in love. One ordered a sausage pizza and the other a mushroom- great on each. I ended up with a fab arugula salad and with what I believe some of the what house dressing around. Amazing. We ended with some ice cream that has such a unique taste - cinnamon? Vanilla ? Not sure. However , so good. Place is adorable and the guys are so nice . Will for sure be back soon - and not in the rain

Yelp
It's rare that you eat a pizza but then immediately crave another one but that's the case here. They have all sorts of creative options or you can design your own pie that is cooked to perfection on site. The location is great, the seating area is cool, and the vibe is fun. I really enjoyed the decor - and some of the clever political references!!! I'll be back!!!

Yelp
Citizen Pie is my all time favorite pizza I've ever had. While I know some may read that statement and claim blasphemy, don't knock it 'til you try it. I'll start by saying that the staff at CP are wonderfully kind and are amazing at their job. The pizza is made from super fresh ingredients and it's put together right in front of you with fresh-daily dough. Then away it goes into the over for 90 seconds and then they pop it out and serve it. The low time high temp cook gives the crust an amazing texture and it keeps all the ingredients from drying out. Don't worry, the cold ingredients (your tomatoes, your spinach, your grated cheese) goes on after the bake. The variants of white and red pizzas will keep you coming back until you've tried the whole menu. Serving size is decent. I'd say share a pizza with a date (or whatever) if you plan on getting dessert after at Mitchell's. Otherwise, get two pizzas and thank me later for the leftovers.

Yelp
While this pizza may have better quality ingredients than a Pizza Fire or Blaze Pizza, the pizza itself is essentially the same. With that being said, it's 100% NOT worth the price you pay for it. After eating at the W 25th location several times, I feel comfortable saying Citizen Pie is very overrated. The service is good, but it takes longer than you would think to make the pizza. If you want a quick personal pizza, go to Pizza Fire or Blaze. If you want a great pizza, go to Il Rione.
