Manhattan West Development Will Open Citizens from C3 and SBE - Eater NY

"Called Citizens, the planned new 40,000-square-foot complex will feature two full-service restaurants, multiple bars, and a fast-casual food hall. They’ll all be run by C3, a subsidiary of Sbe, a global hospitality group. It’s set to open sometime in October 2020." - Tanay Warerkar

It's the greatest Bank in the whole world. I found Jesus there. He comes around to all the banks.

I have been going to this bank for about two months to request change in dollars bills. My client is a stroke victim who lives in the area and need exact change for Access-a-Ride. I went in the bank today and requested the change as usual and was asked for my banking card which was never done before. I advised that I did not have a card for this particular bank, but come there all the time for change. The Latino Male Teller looked at me and stated, "This will be the last time we will give you change." I asked, "Why?" And he said we only give change to our customers. I told him I never had an issue with getting change from them or any other bank I go to whether it was Citizen's, Bank America, Well Fargo, or Chase. He restated again, "We won't do it, this will be the last time." I took the change and restated his last comment. I said, "So this is the last time?" The teller stated, "Yes!" I responded to him that it would've been much nicer if he asked me did I want to open an account. I'm not from the area and was thinking of banking nearby since I'm there most of the time. He responded, "Yes, you are right, my apologies." I turned around and left the bank and will never return and do business with them again. I felt very unappreciated, disrespected, and looked down on. I never experienced that in my life in any bank. Good luck with that!!

Service was excellent. All my needs taken care of. The team was knowledgeable and efficient. The new manager, Eric, was absolutely fantastic in making sure that I had my issues resolved in a timely manner. It looks like the revised for this location are meant for HSBC, but the citizens here is a definitely 5 stars.

Tries hard to be helpful, so I kept my HSBC account there, although keeping most of my cash at Apple Bank for Savings as they are more ethical as a Savings and Loan bank. Also has the neatest old style aka classic bank at their flagship branch on West 72...where many movies were and still are shot. Plus knowledgeable staff too.

There are so many better banks than HSBC. I've been a customer of HSBC (and predecessor banks they acquired) my entire life. Service since they became HSBC has been poor, but I tolerated it because I rarely had to enter a branch to deal with their staff and the ATM was only a block away. Then, they closed my local branch and the one seven blocks away, leaving this one my closest branch at over a mile away. Twice in one week, I walked the mile and change (after banking hours) to find that all their ATMs were out of service. No more. I moved my account to Bank of America. Set up a new account online in 10 minutes. Lots more ATMs in each branch, so generally no waiting, and (wait for it...) they pretty much always all work! Do yourself a favor and find a different bank.

I had a very positive experience visiting this branch, engaging with several individuals while I was there. Professional, efficient, friendly people. Other customers around me seemed to be happy. A good environment.

It took over half an hour to get two bank checks at this branch. I was the first person in line in the morning (which I realize is not anyone's most efficient time during the day), but there were half a dozen people in line behind me waiting and the teller was very rude. Not a good experience.
