"In 2024, Hong Kong’s CBD welcomed the arrival of Citrino, the brainchild of the Ryota Kappou Modern team and of chef Yoshinaga Jinbo. The decor overflows in Italian luxe, circa 1950s with rich, tactile finishes. On the menu, Italian dishes are given a Japanese spin, featuring many signatures from the chef’s flagship in Japan, such as smoked bagna cáuda with 30+ seasonal organic vegetables, as well as a pasta tasting menu with five primi choices." - Michelin Inspector

We began with the caviar eggplant soup, which was delightful, as the caviar is balanced saltiness. We highly recommended to try the "Bagna Cauda," mixed with 35 vegetables. It was the best warm salad I've ever had, even for someone who typically avoids greens. The plating was exquisite and decent as well. For our mains, we ordered two pastas, both cooked to an ideal "al dente" texture. We also savored the "Golden Chicken" and "Pigeon Agrodolce." The chicken was tender and smooth, while the pigeon was prepared with a BBQ pork style, adding a complexity of texture with its crispy and juicy meat. It’s a vibrant culinary experience for its innovative dishes. Their staff Clement is very professional and helpful. He detailed explained each dish components to us and being super attentive. The service is outstanding!!

Loved the Bagna Cauda❤️It was so flavorful that even my veggie-averse friends enjoyed it! The foam risotto was my top pick. Super thoughtful service and a great overall vibe.

A Japanese-Italian restaurant worth recommending. It has its own character, and the red prawn pasta was truly impressive. I’ll definitely be back.

Actually much better than what I have read from the reviews. Its not cheap but I think its still worth it. Combination of Japanese ingreduents and Italian cuisine is not the most unique one but I felt the freshness of the ingredients and nice Japanese touches were fine enough to me. Had a great dinner!

Exceptional service from the manager, and really good prawn pasta. The Chicken on special order, call ahead 2 days, was juicy too. Best tiramisu! Simple wine list.

Great atmosphere, a chill relax environment. Our service was taken care by Roy and he's very helpful and professional. Food was amazing and surprisingly good. Will definitely return for the tasting menu and wine pairing. However, service can be improved if they are planning to run as a fine dining restaurant. 1. Should have wait to have all guests at the table before serving the food. 2. No noise should be created when placing the the table settings or collecting the plates and cutlery 3. Manager and Assistant manager should help with the services as team players and greets the guests for their arrivals and departures.

Good vibes, good food, and gorgeous deco. This cozy place is the newly opened Japanese Italian restaurant. My friends and I tried it last week. as we were a group of 6 people, so we picked from the a la carte menu as we want to try more. 🍴Appetizers ⭐️ Fermented Caprese with Mozzarella Espuma - The cheese mousse is so light and flavourful ⭐️ 36 months aged prosciutto, capocollo - The matching of the 36-month ham and the Lovenzini honeydew melon is so well paired. the taste of the melon is quite unique as it is not only sweet. you should try while it is still in season. ⭐️ Caramelized onion tart with baby anchovies - This is one of my favorites, the creamy onion mixture, over the thin crust, sooo good! ⭐️ Seasonal organic vegetable smoke Bagna Cauda - this warm salad is a combination of over 30 kinds of seasonal vegetables, I like it so much. 🍽 Main ⭐️ The wagyu beef cheek lasagna - The wagu beef filling is soo good, very tasty.. ⭐️ Guanciale flavored Genovese - the home made pesto is delicious. ⭐️ Citrino Vongole - the Japanese clam is so sweet. ⭐️ Sicilian Don Gambero Red Prawns - the red prawns cooked just right. this is one of their top dish - yum! ⭐️ Citrino Grilled Wagyu & Wild Italian Arugula - the meat was cooked beautifully, so tender. ⭐️ Filetto Di Sogliola Al Limone - this wild caught Dover Sole also cooked beautifully, crust outside with juicy flesh inside. 🥄 Desert ⭐️ Amalfi Lemon Cannoli, Mints Trio Gelato - very lemony n refreshing. the home made Gelato was so good, not so sweet. ⭐️ Citrino Tiramisu - also yummy! We ate quite a lot so we left the restaurant with a very full belly and satisfied. This restaurant is a rising start in town. A good place for gathering with friends and family. It's definitely on my top list...

Food is just average and not worth the $1,380 tasting menu price. Minestrone was good, pasta was cooked well but nothing stunning, just normal linguini in a stereotypical sauce, lobster tortellini also lacked a great balanced sauce. Pork meat dish was just boring. Highlight of the meal was the incredible milk gelato, but the accompanied aged balsamic was better off without as it masked the great milk flavors. Honestly just open up an ice cream shop and I’ll hella visit. Also dessert was weirdly served without small spoons and ate with large spoons.
