I had lunch at Citrino today, and it was truly wonderful! The dining environment was very cozy, and the service was attentive and professional. But the highlight, of course, was the food!
Chef Jinbo's Seasonal Organic Vegetable Smoke Bagna Cauda is a must-try—it's an evolution of vegetables, showcasing different layers of flavor that are simply amazing. The Il Fagiolo Sformato with Sea Urchin was another standout; the edamame salad served with seasonal sea urchin and parma ham crumble was a delight. The edamame foam was so airy and light, making it a perfect way to kickstart the meal.
For the main course, the Citrino Vongole featured a Japanese clam pasta, and I loved the al dente texture of the linguini. The entire dish was bursting with flavor! The Filetto di Sogliola al Limone, a wild-caught Dover sole from France served with Beurre Noisette sauce, Sicilian lemon, and heirloom potato, was handled beautifully—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a delicious sauce that brought everything together.
To finish, the Amalfi Lemon Cannoli and Mints Trio Gelato were absolutely divine. The balance of sour and sweet in the cannoli filling was perfect, and the layers of mint gelato offered a unique tasting experience. The Citrino Tiramisu, with its coffee jelly at the bottom, was a delightful twist on a classic and is definitely a must-order.
Overall, I highly recommend Citrino for a fantastic dining experience. I can't wait to return!
