Get THEEE Biriyani. Doesn't matter if you're craving a favorite savory Indian Entree or a Thai noodle or curry. GET IT! Any "Flavor" chicken beef or vegetable. It's an experience.
Friend & I got the Vegetable one (since we had a meat- Chicken Tikka Masala). I don't know how to describe a Biriyani correctly; it's like an infused lightly seasoned rice- somewhat like Arrroz con Pollo, Paella, maybe a good Fried Rice... Order an Appetizer because it may take a little time.
The Vegetable one had potatoes, cauliflower, paneer, peas, string beans, peppers, onions, cashews...
The seasonings I found in it were whole cloves, peppercorns, I think they were fresh curry leaves, maybe cilantro stalks, fennel seed & probably a lot more seasonings.
The rice was SO fluffy, different bites produced hits of clove/cinnamon, some spiciness here & there. Mixing in the Raita (Yogurt sauce) was a nice cooling contrast. Would have liked the little chunks of carrot in the raita to have been thinner/grated.
SUPER AMAZING! Had a Chicken Biriyani before & that was good also. Made sure this place was on my List after visits to Storm King Sculpture Park.
Everything else was delicious also: Chicken Tikka Masala (had a deep flavor), Vegetable Samosa & sauces that it came with, was super fresh, Naan had a nice crisp & air bubbles. Was surprised with a birthday mini Mango Cheesecake (Unique!). The Chai wasn't so good though, the milk was a little burnt. Their side rices (lemon, cumin..) sound interesting also.
The staff of young guys were very friendly & attentive. Asked how we were when we arrived & said "The night's only going to get better." There was a steady stream of Pick-Ups, even with this pandemic. A filled main area in dining room (6' apart) by 7:00pm. Mix of families, couples & even 2 teenagers.
SO...which dish will you order when you go??
