We had a wonderful dinner here — three of us enjoyed an evening full of authentic Indian flavors and great hospitality. We started with Chicken 65 and Khandari Machali, both absolutely delicious — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For the mains, the Goat Biryani, Chicken Chettinadu, and Goat Vindaloo were rich, aromatic, and full of depth. The Garlic Naan and Goat Cheese Kulcha paired beautifully with the curries. I tried the Ultimate Cooler cocktail, which was refreshing and smooth, while my friends enjoyed the Mango Mule, a great non-alcoholic option with a lovely tropical twist. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and well-coordinated. Big appreciation to the service and kitchen team for making everything taste fresh and authentic. A perfect spot for anyone who loves real Indian food and good vibes. Highly recommended.

I can’t begin to explain how incredible this place is best Thai food in the Hudson Valley probably in the United States. My grandfather took me here for the brunch on Sunday. Customer service was incredible and the gentleman at the omelette stand. I can’t begin to explain how great he was. He walked me through the buffet and told me what I should try because I love sauces. He pointed to me the best sauces. I just had the best experience all around.

Google
It was nothing remarkable but not bad either. I wouldn't bother ordering any Thai food. It's really a South Indian restaurant. So stick with that. The paper masala dosa with very good. It's an appetizer for 2 but I had it as an entre. The eggplant appetizer was interesting but the taste of fried was too strong. Our group also has biryani. This place can get busy so the service can be slow. Once you're being served you feel rushed. The staff was apologetic only after the fact saying they were short staffed but it made for a very uncomfortable night out.

Google
A really great spot impeccably clean with an updated interior and plenty of free parking. The menu is rock solid in Indian and Thai dishes and the food is so fresh it jumps off your plate.

10/10—Absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, the food was nothing short of incredible. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the quality was top-tier—definitely not your typical "good food for the price." The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. What really stood out, though, was the stellar service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. It's rare to find a place that combines both excellent food and exceptional service, but this place nails it. On top of that, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality you’re getting. It’s one of those places where you leave feeling like you got more than your money’s worth. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a great meal, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend it to anyone!

I recently visited Citrus for my second time trying Indian food, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance was perfect—warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for a wonderful meal. The restaurant had a busy vibe, but despite that, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. I was especially impressed by how they were able to accommodate our large party without any hassle. The service was swift and efficient, and everyone left happy and satisfied. The flavors of the dishes were rich and diverse, and I felt like I really got a taste of authentic Indian cuisine. It was an overall fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be back for my third round of exploring Indian food!

Google
I can’t even begin to describe how incredible this restaurant is. The people cooking truly understand food preparation, spices, textures and flavors. This is honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Aside from the food being incredible, the staff are absolutely amazing. There is a genuine kindness to them that makes you feel cared for. It hard to describe but you will know it when you feel it. They give free samples of foods as well which makes the experience even more fun and interactive. This is a must for us when we are in the area.

Yelp
From food to ambiance to service, 10/10!! There were so many cool items on the menu i want to come back and try all of them. All the dishes were super fairly portioned and beautifully presented. The flavor, textures, and aesthetic were all so enjoyable. There were so many complex flavors in each dish, I can't begin to explain the flavors! We were already having an incredible experience, but there was a huge cherry on top. The manager of the store was extremely attentive, checking on us frequently and gave us a free mango lassi and tikki masala dish. Everyone should come try this place at least once to open their mind! I will be back :D

Yelp
Delicious food and sweets! I also appreciated the newly renovated interior, soft music, and prompt service. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing service with such an elegant ambiance. It was pretty crowded, as to be expected for a Friday night, but the waitress was able to squeeze us into a table. Service was very pleasant and professional. The food was phenomenal. Somehow quick yet savory. Portions were just the right size.

Yelp
The was my first experience with Indian food and it was delicious. I tried a platter which came with a little bit of everything. It was so good. I was also blown away with how friendly the staff was both on the phone and during my meal.

Yelp
This little spot serves Indian and Thai food together, which is odd, but I've only ever had their Indian food. My go-to Indian dish is always Aloo Gobi ($15.99), which is potato and cauliflower prepared with onion and tomato sauce. Of course, no meal is complete without basmati rice and Garlic Naan ($4.50). We also tried their Chili garlic naan which was just as wonderful and delicious! I typically get takeout from Citrus, but the one time I went in person with my mother and grandmother, I had the most wonderful experience! The seating was spacious and clean. Our waiter was such a sweetheart (especially for having to deal with my grandmother...that's a story for another day...), he even brought us out a free rice dessert dish to try! I even dropped my knife on the floor (so embarrassing) and the waiter told me not to worry and quickly brought me another one. The service was excellent, as was the food. I no longer live in this area, but if I'm ever there and I'm craving some delicious Aloo Gobi, I know where to stop by.

Yelp
Plain and simple this place is great. Always good food and service. I've never had a bad meal and the vegetarian options are plentiful:

Yelp
First time here. Order take out online. The process was simple and quick. The staff got my order together very quickly and they were nice. The food was well packed and nice and hot. I got several things to try and they were all great. The interior was very clean and modern looking. I'm looking forward to being able to go back to dine in.

Yelp
3.5. Workmanlike and competent, but no inspiration from the kitchen, at least on the occasion your correspondent dined there. Extensive menu ambitiously encompasses both Indian and Thai. Friendly front of house staff isn't ultra efficient. Dining room is spacious and pleasant. Full bar. Located in a random roadside mall, so you could hit the hardware store or supermarket after.

Yelp
We gave this place a try. Pleasant setting with background music from India playing. The service was excellent. We ordered Butter Chicken, Shrimp Malai Curry and Thai chicken Gaeng Keow Whan (Green curry) with Coconut flavored rice. I wish they would have told us that the Thai dish came with rice, so we ended up with way too much rice. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were really good, actually, just barely fair when it comes to flavor in the curries or korma sauce. The shrimp Malai, which I normally love elsewhere, was very bland and lacking in spices. The butter chicken was ok but the chunks of chicken should be cut to bitesize rather than large chunks. Just didn't have that delicate creamy flavor that it should have. The worst was the sub par green watery curry. It's supposed to be a rich spicy creamy coconut curry with eggplant. Instead is was a bunch of veggies bits, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, with a few pieces of mushy eggplant. The curry sauce was a major disappointment, we couldn't finish any of the dishes. The best thing was the coconut rice. How sad is that. They should stick to one type of food and improve on those. Mixing Thai with Indian are completely different flavors and ingredients. They just don't mix. We won't be back.

Yelp
The quality at this Indian buffet supersedes any indian buffet I've ever been to in my life. The food was fresh, not super heavy, and also there was plentiful variety! We especially enjoyed the pumpkin poriyal, eggplant saag, and poori. My Indian friend also approved and said she would come back. Despite it being Thai / Indian (at least that's what the restaurant billboard said), I think the authenticity is pretty spot on. Only thing that could be worked on a bit more is the desserts. I wish there were more variety of Indian desserts but they had desserts for westerners (tiramisu - good, carrot / banana cake - didn't look home made). Service was nothing memorable but not bad either. Seating was very close together.

Yelp
I am impressed!! They are currently open during renovations so it could be a bit loud inside. Regardless, the food is worth the stop anyway. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options. Service was impeccable and I had the most delicious mojito, the bar does not skimp on pouring!!
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem! Between Indian and Thai food you can't go wrong. Reasonable prices for an upscale like restaurant, the music and art, interior inside is so pleasant. Our servers were accommodating and the food speaks for itself. Flavorful and delicious, I'd love to come back to try many more entrees. Many vegan options - a plus!
google avatar

Zach W.

Yelp
Menu is huge with a really diverse selection of Thai and Indian dishes. I had a chicken curry that was full of flavor and a surprisingly spicy chili nann bread. I have to go again to try more of the menu. The food arrived quickly as well as it was not very busy that night. As far as I know it's one of the only good Thai//Indian restaurants in the Newburgh area.
google avatar

Batool H.

Yelp
This place really hit the spot! I'm from Houston and know good South Asian food and Citrus knows what they're doing for sure! It's an interesting concept to have both Thai and Indian on the menu but it seems to work! My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway to Cornwall and saw this as a highly rated halal restaurant around the area. The wait for 2 on a Saturday night wasn't too bad and I'm really glad we came! The ambiance is great with a bomb classic & modern Bollywood playlist! All the servers were very nice as well. For appetizer, we got the Dreams of Heaven chicken wings - finger licking good! For entrees we got the Prawn Tikka Masala & the lamb chops, both of which were delicious and perfectly cooked! I got a mojito mocktail which was perfect and my husband got the mango milkshake - 2 since he loved it so much! The only downside is that it was a tad pricey for the portions that you get but we figured maybe it's hard to source halal meat in these parts? Not sure but overall it was a great dinner. We wanted to come back the next day to try their Thai menu but didn't get the chance to. If you're up in the Cornwall/Newburgh/Beacon area, definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious appetizers and main dishes! Great portion sizes and it tasted very home-made with love. We had the eggplant appetizer and samosas along with chicken tikka masalas which was super good! Great music and decor too! Everything was great along with great service Will be back for sure

Yelp
Authentic Indian food 100% recommend also they delivery is pretty fast and arrive pretty warm

Yelp
Food was delicious. Not typical Indian buffet. Higher quality, more gourmet type food. Tried the Curried seafood excellent. Service was good. Tables were cleared promptly after plates were empty. Restaurant was very clean. Staff was constantly cleaning and refreshing the buffet table. Bathroom was clean and well supplied.

Jeffry S.

Yelp
If you're looking to try Indian / Thai food for the first time, RECONSIDER! Find another spot. The Chicken tiki masala tastes EXACTLY the same as Chef boyardee's spaghetti and meatballs!!! There's 3 good things about this restaurant, 1- the garlic naan bread 2- there's a McDonalds around the corner 3- there's a Wendy's around the other corner

Yelp
Exceptional food and service! My favorite brunch and dinner spot in the Hudson Valley.

Yelp
Great food and honestly very nice staff. They were so busy but they did everything to accommodate us. The food Was also great but being desi I just can't give them 5 stars. But they were good!
google avatar

Dawn C.

Yelp
Everything went well. The service was friendly, the samosas came with three sauces-mint, onion and tamarind. All were fresh and made in house. We ordered Tom Kiha soup and it was one of the best we have ever had. It had a variety of vegetable with chicken. We ordered the daily special which contained a variety of small silver ramekins with an assortment of meats and vegetables. It also comes with two pieces of Naan bread and rice pudding. Super tasty and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was really good but the service was absolutely AWFUL! We came here with family to celebrate my aunt getting her doctorate degree and we waited almost 20 minutes anyone came to even take our drink order. The food came out quickly but NOT efficiently. There were a lot of things missing from our order, they brought my cousin the wrong dish, and 2 people at our table didn't get there food for another 10 minutes. Not to mention the server seem so annoyed anytime we needed help. I've worked in nyc restaurants for 8 years and I know how much pressure a server can feel when they're busy, but this was just plain bad service. Great Food

Yelp
Words can not explain as to what goes on in my mouth when enjoying food from citrus.wow the flavors are end less from the orderves to the main dish i have to say Citrus is the gift that keeps on giving. the atmosphere the energy from the staff and the FOOD LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY TASTE BUDS i had the tandori chicken that came out on a sizziling skillet along with the roghan josh lamb with basmati rice spicy tikki masala shrimp was out of this world then to top it off we had curry calamari and samosa and the amazing garlic chilli nann bread to sap up all of that gravy and that is what we did. this will be my goto spot this indian and thai infused resturaunt is brilliantly beautiful, staff was super attentive. look if your tired of pizza or chinese takeout then grab your woman by the hand and show her her worth and take he to CITRIUS maybe these pics will change your mind

Yelp
The Sunday brunch is amazing! So many delicious items to choose from and not expensive. Far eastern cuisine with so many variables, meaning if ya don't like one thing, you've got ALOT to choose from. Will go back again and again!
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
We ate here for the first time recently and it was a great meal! We got there early right when they opened for dinner on a weekend, so we didn't have a reservation. But the place filled up quickly and was packed when we left, so I might recommend a reservation. Appetizers and entrees were all delicious. The naan was hot and fresh and a good serving size. Service was attentive. We will definitely return and next time will aim for the Sunday buffet.

Susana A.

Yelp
We ordered for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Great portions for the price. We truly enjoyed everything we ordered which was the lamb curry, butter chicken, samosas & the garlic flatbread. Will be going back!

Yelp
Foodgasm. This place is so great, I literally filled my belly with just the naan and tikka masala sauce Everything was seasoned perfectly, I have not stuffed my face as much as I have with this meal with my family. Granted my toddler isn't a huge fan (we're starting to introduce him to other cultural cuisines), my husband who's a huge fan of indian food loved it as well. He says it was better than any we've had in Queens or the Bronx when we used to live there, and that's a lot coming from a foodie. It's kinda expensive (welcome to the suburbs), but it's so worth it. We loved every single bit. Thank you for the great meal. Highly recommend. Went to pick-up my order so I can't say much for the service, but ambiance seemed great & perfect for a date night. Ample parking outside.

Mika V.

Yelp
Ah I took my family here on a whim after a hike. We were famished and it's great that the portions are huge here. We were stuffed and even took home leftovers. Great Indian food.

Jim C.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant particularly for the lunch menu. Very friendly wait staff and excellent food. You won't find better.

Yelp
Savory Indian food that leaves you wanting more! We went for the buffet style and I was impressed with the variety of food choices. The restaurant has been renovated in the outside for a modern look. Great and friendly service!

Yelp
Go-to place in the Hudson Valley for Thai and Indian cuisine. The Thai Iced Tea and Pad Thai are their big hits. The pad thai is great. But be aware that everything in the restaurant is spicey. Even if you ask for the food not to be spicey, it will still be moderately spicey, so this is not the ideal restaurant for people who can't eat spicey food. Really everything on the menu is great, if you can eat spicey food. Some of the biryani rice was hard, like they had mixed a new pot of rice with an older pot of rice, so I am taking off one star for that. The ambiance of the restaurant is really warm and cozy, and the waiters are very attentive, and will come to your table as soon as you look at them to communicate you need something. Overall, a really nice experience.

Yelp
Get THEEE Biriyani. Doesn't matter if you're craving a favorite savory Indian Entree or a Thai noodle or curry. GET IT! Any "Flavor" chicken beef or vegetable. It's an experience. Friend & I got the Vegetable one (since we had a meat- Chicken Tikka Masala). I don't know how to describe a Biriyani correctly; it's like an infused lightly seasoned rice- somewhat like Arrroz con Pollo, Paella, maybe a good Fried Rice... Order an Appetizer because it may take a little time. The Vegetable one had potatoes, cauliflower, paneer, peas, string beans, peppers, onions, cashews... The seasonings I found in it were whole cloves, peppercorns, I think they were fresh curry leaves, maybe cilantro stalks, fennel seed & probably a lot more seasonings. The rice was SO fluffy, different bites produced hits of clove/cinnamon, some spiciness here & there. Mixing in the Raita (Yogurt sauce) was a nice cooling contrast. Would have liked the little chunks of carrot in the raita to have been thinner/grated. SUPER AMAZING! Had a Chicken Biriyani before & that was good also. Made sure this place was on my List after visits to Storm King Sculpture Park. Everything else was delicious also: Chicken Tikka Masala (had a deep flavor), Vegetable Samosa & sauces that it came with, was super fresh, Naan had a nice crisp & air bubbles. Was surprised with a birthday mini Mango Cheesecake (Unique!). The Chai wasn't so good though, the milk was a little burnt. Their side rices (lemon, cumin..) sound interesting also. The staff of young guys were very friendly & attentive. Asked how we were when we arrived & said "The night's only going to get better." There was a steady stream of Pick-Ups, even with this pandemic. A filled main area in dining room (6' apart) by 7:00pm. Mix of families, couples & even 2 teenagers. SO...which dish will you order when you go??
google avatar

Yelp
We got the Indian food. Excellent, delicious and substantial portions, but a little on the pricey side. Service was great. FYI: The chairs seem to slip a little on the wood floor and they add 3% for credit card.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our visit. The Tandoori Chicken and Shrimp very fresh and flavorful, and the Butter Chicken was also fantastic. As busy as it was on a Saturday evening, the staff was very friendly and attentive. We did not at all feel rushed through our meals, and that means a lot in book!
google avatar

Yelp
I posted about 2 yrs ago that the only complaint I had was that the outside of Citrus was very unappealing and much to my surprise we went lat week and it's beautiful inside and out!!! The food and service are still great!!

Yelp
Friend of the family recommend this place and we were glad we went. The food was authentic and full of flavor. The service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was decorated very classy and it was clean. The food was very filling and delicious. I found my new spot for my drunken noodles dish. I recommend this place to my friends my family.

Yelp
Everything is delicious and reasonable great ambiance. You will not be disappointed . We love the place and the foods are so yummy you will enjoy them like we do. Make it out to citrus and have a great meal.

Yelp
Really yummy food! There were 4 of us and we all loved everything we ordered. I had chicken biryani rice. It was just the right amount of spices. I would visit again for sure.

Yelp
Live down the road. Haven't been in since renovations. Food is always fresh. I don't know most of their dishes but service is always great the buffet style eating is a plus. I hope they didn't stop Sunday buffets.

Bill B.

Yelp
Citrus has been remodeled to give a clean new look to the dining room and exterior. Great food with numerous vegetarian options as well as meat dishes including lamb, and chicken. Butter Chicken Chicken VindalooTandoori Chicken

Yelp
Pad Thai was good but the cosmopolitan was too citrusy. The place was recently renovated, clean and definitely prices were affordable. The service was good.
google avatar

Yelp
A great atmosphere, newly renovated, kind staff and authentic food!!!! Eat here!!! You will not be disappointed. Music contributes to wonderful conversation and ambiance. Prices are definitely worth it.

Yelp
Delicious food. 100% recommend. Service and food is amazing. So many choices, and everything is soo good.

Yelp
Food and service were exceptional! Easy parking and very pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had, period. That sounds like a big statement (and it is), but truly, my fiancée and I walked away from this place wanting more, more more. Too bad we don't live anywhere nearby ;_; The massaman curry was unbelievably tasty, the waitstaff were attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere was tasteful and quiet. We'll definitely be back any time we're in the area!

Yelp
This place is a gem. We are from the San Francisco area where good Indian and Thai restraints are easy to find. We were on a road trip, finding ourselves in upstate New York, needing to pick a restaurant to meet some relatives at. Based on Yelp ratings, this seemed like the best choice, and I had pretty low expectations: for one, there didn't seem to be many Indian or Thai people in the area, and two, when a restaurant advertises as specializing in two different regions/styles of cuisine, usually both are bad (for example, "Chinese and American food"). Our group ordered of the Thai and Indian menus, and everything was good. Honestly, if this place were in my home area where there are a lot of dining options, and where just an Indian or Thai place, I'd give it a SOLID 4 STARS. BUT because they have pulled off an Indian/Thai menu in a small town in upstate New York, I gotta add an extra star for "difficulty".
google avatar

Sorina F.

Yelp
My family came here after a long day of driving and after the initial place we wanted to go to was closed. Thank goodness it was because we would have missed out on a gem of a place. I was skeptical of the idea of Thai and Indian food at the same place but Citrus proved my suspicions wrong. We ordered the fried rice, dosa masala, chicken tandoori, lamb korma, roti, and paneer makhani. Everything exceeded my expectations, full of flavor and very generous portions. Staff was very nice, very accommodating especially during a busy dinner rush. The food was worth the wait to me. Will for sure come back when we come back to the area.
