City Bean Roasters (Retail Shop and Wholesale)

Friendly service, COVID clean measures, great tasting coffee with more than enough varieties. They had a plentiful assortment from light to dark roasts, about 10+ roasts to choose from. Coffee goes for $10-12 per 12 oz bag. Just brewed this morning and wonderful artisanal taste. Greatly enjoyed the Ethiopian Sidamo I brewed this morning and it had flavors just like the label said. berry jam and sweet shortbread. Loving this spot.

Have subscribed to their monthly 3-bag coffee box for about two years now, always been happy with the roasts/beans. Also like stopping in the store from time to time to snag a special roast or when we run out. The Nighthawk Blend is an amazing dark roast and we've also been enjoying the lighter roasts too. The roast consistency from bag to bag is also quite strong, means minimal fiddling with grind settings to get good pour-over going each time we get a new batch. Strongly recommend!

Really great place to get fresh locally roasted coffee beans at an incredible price. I’ve been ordering more from local and California based roasters during covid while working from home, and City Bean beats everyone on price while maintaining high quality. The shop is just a small storefront and they make it easy to pick up a bag, pay via Venmo and be on your way. I’ve tried a few different varieties they have for medium and dark roasts and enjoyed them all. Will try their light roasts soon. They are also helpful when I have questions or need a recommendation. They also sell coffee maker accessories like Chemex filters. Haven’t bought those here yet but seems like a good place to stock up locally.

Amazing price to quality ratio! I’m really blown away. Their beans taste like something that would normally cost twice as much elsewhere. The light roasts here are great.

Cash only. No cold brew, even though it's advertised. Not a cafe storefront, this is a wholesale location. They only have medium roast single origins. Personally single origins roasted more than light loses natural flavor of bean, and is used to hide defects in lower quality coffee. Not saying they do since I haven't tried it, being cash only, but could be the case.
