Let me just start by saying this place is absolutely superb! We came numerous times during our Pagosa Springs stay. We ordered take out twice for lunch and sat down twice for dinner. My husband and I don't eat much, so we always get plates to share. We firstly got a burger and my husband was charmed by the hostess who gave us our take out. She told him their dinner specials and immediately he wanted to bring me out for dinner to try it out. After a horrible experience at another restaurant, I figured why not. It is an adorable little tavern. It is small but charming. We were sat down immediately. The waitress recognized my husband immediately and came to greet me with the warmest smile! She told us the numerous specials they were having, and man was is a difficult choice. We ended up getting a 13oz steak to share, an amazing cheese filled appetizer, salad, and the husband ordered himself an IPA. Now let me tell you ...the steak was cooked to absolute perfection! It was by far made with a true love for cooking and made it onto the top of our list for one of the best steaks we've ever gotten from a restaurant. Medium rare with an amazing sear on the outside server with potatoes and veggies. We were in heaven. The waitress brought us numerous dipping sauces (made in house) for the steak. It was an absolutely amazing experience. We returned for dinner again the next day and tried the calamari and clam chowder soup, which were also amazing. We cleared our plates each time. I also ended up buying an entire Key Lime Pie to take home to the kids. Let me tell you ..I've never had a Key Lime Pie like what they serve here. It was absolutely heavenly and I wanted the kiddos at home to try some. We also got a sandwich for lunch...it was loaded with meats and veggies! An amazing lunch. Everything we got was satisfying. If we were locals, we would easily be frequent flyers! We truly hope they stay open so that we can visit during our annual Pagosa Springs visit. It was also so nice to see and feel the appreciation for military and law enforcement, as I'm a veteran and my husband is law enforcement. I can't say what my favorite part was... Because everything was outstanding. The service, the atmosphere, the food. I would give 5 starts a hundred times over.

Rather disappointing after reading reviews. Service was lacking and long wait times for lukewarm food. Crab cakes weren't terrible but they were cold to lukewarm. My Caesar salad didnt have cheese and was so lightly dressed I barely tasted any flavor (look at the pic its just limp lettuce) and they hyped the seafood stuffed shells up so much I was looking forward to a redemption and after waiting close to 40 mins after we were done with our appetizer a lukewarm salty dish came out. I was only able to eat one shell it was too salty. Said all of this to a passing waiter as ours came so infrequently. She said thanks for the feedback and that was all. No manager ever came to apologize or make anything right. Im usually a 25% tipper regardless of food quality but the slow service with bad food reflected in my tip. $100 bill for 2 entrees and an appetizer at a "cafe".

Some of the most delicious food we have had. The calamari was excellent! So tender and tasty. My eggplant stack was delicious and enough for a meal. We showed up right before closing.. they still sat us and served us amazing food( can't wait to eat the leftovers!). The staff is knowledgeable and our server was super nice. We highly recommend this place to eat a lovely upscale meal! Don't forget the drinks and appetizers!

The crab cakes were truly amazing—perfectly seasoned, tender inside, and beautifully crisp on the outside. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The chicken margarita was just as impressive: juicy, flavorful, and paired with a bright, zesty sauce that really brought the dish together. Both plates were memorable and definitely worth ordering again. Very impressed ❤️

I love this place. Let's start with the paradox of the eggplant tower. You're thinking to yourself, that's weird, maybe I should pick something I recognize. Don't! It's literally a mountain of happiness and joy that will exude unicorns and rainbows upon the first bite. Not lying, I told our wonderful server this verbatim to describe how much we loved the tower. The lamb chops were some of the best prepared I've ever had. Truly. I eat a lot of lamb; I'm half Lebanese. Wow, they were extraordinary with a unique taste you're not going to get anywhere else. The steak was also amazing. Here's the thing: it was really, really good, but the lamb chops were so extraordinary that this amazing steak took a back seat. Order both and share. You'll be glad. We loved the staff! They were so cool, fun, outgoing, kind, thoughtful, and made amazing food into such a fun and amazing experience. They were so kind at the end that they provided their famous key lime pie (also super delicious) to us, which rounded out a perfect dinner. Rarely does a place delight me so, please come here often.

We loved our waitress! She was very bright and attentive, and even turned up the heater on the patio dining area for us! The food came in massive portions, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

Had a great experience over here was our first time coming into town. Only downside is the prices. They are very expensive but overall enjoyed our meal. The black and shrimp was very salty. Couldn’t really enjoy eating it unfortunately but everything else was wonderful. The owner was a lovely lady Atmosphere was great.

Prompt professional, yet friendly service. Zach and Stephanie truly provided top notch service. The Chicken Piccata was maybe seasoned too heavily and not light and refreshing, however I loved it. I will definitely get that again or even try something else! The staff, service, and food will be hard to beat at the price anywhere. Top notch.

We only went out to dinner one night on our honeymoon and we choose this place. Wowza - the food was delicious the staff was so kind and attentive, we sat out in the heated porch which was so nice ! We enjoyed the boneless wings ( medium) as a appetizer followed by soup and salad. And oh my gosh the chicken piccata was absolutely delicious! We ordered the cheesecake to go and my hubby is stating it was the BEST a cheesecake he has ever eaten ;) okay we strongly recommend this place and encourage you to give it a try ! Also they have some really nice decor that you can purchase !! We will be back ;)

Entrees were great! There were so many amazing choices that we struggled to order. We actually said we wished we had come here the night before so we could have came twice. Appetizers not so great... Stick with the entrees which are really good portions. Friendly staff and fair prices.

We went there and found the food to be incredible, it was one of our best dishes on our vacation. Caleb our server did a fantastic job. It was a joy to be out on the patio with the flowers. I had the chicken Parmesan that I would have to say that's the best I've ever had at a restaurant, my wife had Chicken Carbonara

Small cafe in Pagosa Springs. Has a variety of food choices and unique cocktails as well as the usual beer and wine selections. Service was a little slow at first but when it arrived, full attention was on us with two servers accommodating our group of 8. Definitely worth another visit.

When looking for a restaurant they were mostly in 2 categories: $10-20 per meal or $50-100 per meal. I still have a hard time paying over $50 per meal, so City Hall Cafe was a nice middle ground on price, but excellent food. It's a smallish place and filled up soon after we got there (4:30ish) The service was great. Food was freshly cooked and we'll seasoned. We split the stuffed Mahi and had plenty to eat, plus saved a little money. The hostess warned us that the portions are large, which we appreciated. Everyone was friendly and we loved our meal. Thanks team! We appreciated that there wasn't a random add service charge that we've seen at some other Colorado restaurants. Our expectation is that the owners pay a living wage and incorporate that into their prices.

Waited for 45- minutes because they were busy, I understand. After another 45- minutes after being seated we had to ask if anyone was waiting on us and after another 10- minutes someone finally showed up. I am writing this review as I sit here. We had a 2-1/2 year old with us and only one high chair in this place which was being used. One of the worst dining experience I've ever had. As I sit here writing this still waiting to place an order we have 3-cokes and a water. I regret not getting up and leave for Sonic down the street. At least the service would be much better. I normally don't write these types of posts, but no one here gives a SHIT. If you don't have 4-hours to complete your dining experience don't come here. Ran out of time to give a food review cause we're still waiting for it.

We went there for an occasion and can't wait to go back! We had the crabcakes for an appetizer, then my wife had the stuffed seafood shells. $36.00 and more than she could eat in one sitting. I had the Surf n Turf. The Lobster was 8 oz, cooked in a wonderful butter sauce, the steak was a filet mignon covered in a mushroom wine sauce. Delicious! Served with a salad and mashed potatoes all for $55! Wrapped up dinner with a Strawberry Cheesecake! Overall great dinning experience. Friendly waitress, great food! I could've done without the new country music blaring on the speakers , but other than that, a lovely time.

The service here was excellent. The young lady who first met us was friendly and outgoing. The gentleman who waited on us was attentive and friendly. The food was good, nothing outstanding. My Caesar shrimp wrap was well dressed. The shrimp had been cooked especially for my order, because it was still a little warm. (I would have liked it cooked about 30 seconds longer. It was not quite done enough for me) We ate on the covered patio. It was very pleasant. They have an interesting selection of personal pizza and a good assortment of other choices of salads, sandwiches and entrees.

We went for a late lunch. I had a Rueben sandwich and coleslaw as a side. My wife had a personal pizza. Mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, and supposedly bacon. I would rate the Rueben a 4.0. The coleslaw was pretty tasteless. My wife's pizza was only okay. Had a much better pizza last week in Avon. Service was efficient. Ambience was rustic with sticky wood tables.

Nice place with welcoming decor on the inside. Great service and very good food. We ordered a good portion of the menu amongst our group and everyone was very happy.

Wife and I visited from out of town and went here for dinner. We enjoyed our time and the food was delicious. It's been over a month since we went so can't remember what we ordered but service was great and we sat outside so it was quieter and slightly romantic that I can remember. I do recommend eating here and if we visit in the future we plan on going back.

Apparently under new ownership or management since I was last there. And not in a good way. The following applies to the lunch menu: The service was actually good...attentive and friendly. The problem is the food quality and value. Reading the menu I saw that they no longer have a half pound burger. Instead it is two 4 ounce patties. I take this to mean that they are using frozen stuff off of the Sysco truck. The burgers range in price from $15 to $18. So basically, McDonald's grade burgers at premium prices. Not interested. Instead I ordered the boneless wing appetizer. Six wings for $8. The wings were small. Very small. Only one was big enough to qualify as a small piece at just about anyplace else. Seriously, one piece almost as big as an egg and the other pieces about half that size. Worse, they were very dry. I take that to mean that I was served yesterday's leftovers. They were difficult to pierce with the plastic fork...I thought it might break the fork. The sauce was ok but who can't get sauce right? My lunch partner got a salad. A Greek salad. She was also disappointed. Normally you would see "the good parts" tossed in and well distributed. Instead it was just thrown on top of a pile of lettuce. But there wasn't even much of the good stuff. Three olives? This cost $15 and it definitely did not look anything like the pictures posted here on Yelp. The total pre tip bill for one Greek salad and eight wings with ice water and ice tea was $26 and change so I guess the ice tea came in at $3. Drink prices are not listed on the menu. This was not a good value to me. Good service, for sure but the food quality and quantity was substandard for the price charged. So, super disappointed. This place once had very good lunches but not anymore, I guess. Don't see myself returning.

A very quaint place and the food and service was very good. We shared a filet mignon plate, and our "split" individual servings were as if we had our own each order. The garlic green beans and mashed taters were excellent. Put our steak sauce on the the taters! Yum! The steaks had a subtle smoke to them that was scrumptious. The service was very friendly. Will definitely be back

We looked around for a place that had some seafood, as I cannot eat beef or chicken (I cannot digest meat, it makes me sick). The menu looked great. We were greeted with warm smiles and seated immediately. We started off with the crab cakes. I was unsure about the honey mustard sauce but it worked well. The crab cakes were pretty good size and tasted well seasoned. I ordered the blackened Mahi sandwich with fries and my husband ordered the special of the French onion burger and potato salad. My Mahi sandwich was amazing. It was well cooked and not dry at all. The fries were seasoned correctly and crisp but soft in the middle. The burger was really thick and tasty. The onions were handmade and crispy. The potato salad was average and personally needed a little more seasoning for my taste. Overall a great little place to go for a meal. The prices were good for a tourist town.

What a gem. I have to say the name misleads you to thinking this might be another sandwich shop or fried brewery food. But it was just the change up we were looking for after a fun few brew pubs. Fresh and tasty, and hit the spot. My husband and I ordered the special ribeye and the Cappelli d'Angeli. Honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. It was cooked medium rare to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The pasta had a lot of fresh tomatoes artichoke capers and onions. It was a lovely compliment to the steak. I want to say our waitresses name was Jamie? I wish I remembered because she was so sweet, and timed everything well. She was there when needed and otherwise left us to enjoy our wonderful meal. Definitely would go back next time we visit.

Food is consistently good. Service is great Key Lime Pie is a proper key lime pie, none of that fake green stuff. Definitely recommend

Overall, kind of a mixed-bag experience. Rather than risking having my to-go order potentially messed up by calling it in, I figured I'd order at the counter and wait. It ended up being a fairly lengthy wait, but it was lunchtime, and they were starting to get busy. In theory, the order shouldn't have been that difficult. We got two sandwiches with sides to go. One was supposed to have roast turkey with limited toppings and potato salad. The other was to have roast beef, gouda, more toppings, and pasta salad. What we ended up with were two roast beef sandwiches, and the one with cheese was in with the potato salad. I watched the woman write the orders down separately, so they clearly got messed up in the back. Points taken off for that as well as the lack of quality control in the front to confirm the order was correct before packaging it up. Once I got to my destination, realized the error, and did my best to correct the situation by disassembling and reassembling both sandwiches, we finally got to eat. My roast beef sandwich was quite tasty. The pasta salad was delicious. I'm not sure if they promote the fact their pasta salad has tuna in it, but if they don't, they probably should. I thought it was good, but had my wife also gotten the pasta, that would've been another strike. My wife had been looking forward to turkey, but she ate the roast beef. Also, she said the potatoes in the potato salad were undercooked and hard. She wasn't impressed with the experience overall. The rest of the menu, especially dinner entrees, looked promising, but pretty sure we won't be by again to try anything else.

Ahi filet came out frozen. They brought it back to the kitchen and threw the plate under a heat source, came back with no sauce on the top, still cold in the middle. Sides were cold. Not a good experience.

Be ready to spend quite a bit, but the food is fantastic and the service is top notch. This is the fine dining place in Pagosa and a great option for dates.

Absolutely LOVE the atmosphere and food! It's a staple every time we come to Wolf Creek to ski....love the vibe this place has! Keep up the great work!

Ugh this is a tough review. We went there and ordered dinner to go. We had the Pagosa Chicken. We ordered and sat at the bar and even though the restaurant was pretty empty it took a long time. The food was AMAZING! Absolutely the best chicken I have ever had in a restaurant. The second time we went for a glass of wine and an appetizer. We ordered the crab cake. Our wine was $18 a glass, the crab cakes weren't cheap and they served it with plastic forks and knives. Crab cake wasn't good. Service was good. Last meal was dinner. We ordered the caprese salad, teriyaki wings, chicken pomodoro and the stuffed mahi. We all tried everything. The caprese salad was ok, nothing to write home about. The wings were extremely late to the table but they were very good. The chicken was good, nothing as great as the Pagosa. Mahi was dry dry dry. Their mashed potatoes are the bomb. They serve their red wine at room temperature and it's too warm and for the price they should do a better job. Service was just ok. Took forever to get the wings and a second glass of wine. So, for the price, I think it's hit or miss...

Best restaurant in Pagosa Springs...and we've tried 'em all. Huge, fresh salads. Good wine list. Great for lunch but be aware that they scale back the menu to appetizers and soup/salad after 2. But the Naan bread pizzas make up for the minor inconvenience.

We are traveling from Texas and thoroughly enjoyed our meal at City Hall Cafe. The chicken piccata was outstanding! Very flavorful and filling! My husband had the lobster and bacon wrapped steak. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce on the lobster was flavorful and not overpowering. My son had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Thank you for a great meal and great service!

Amazing food. Brought my fiancé here for her pre-birthday dinner. Ordered crab cakes, the carbonara and "The Judge" rack of lamb. Got the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was so good! Service was fast. We hardly had to wait for anything and it was all fresh. Small little place with good vibes. I was so happy we got to choose our own seats.

Great service! We had to wait awhile but everyone was very nice. Drinks and food were good and they offer gluten free pasta!

Our server was pleasant & attentive. It took about 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered. My husband enjoyed his meatballs & spaghetti however my pasta aioli was so heavy with the garlic that was all I could taste, I couldn't eat it. You could see clumps of the minced garlic all over the plate. Also the rolls were very dry & cold. Finally, the noise level was VERY loud. Not a pleasant experience.

Best creamy chicken Marsala I have ever had! The chicken breast was so tender and cooked to perfection. Looking for a nice meal after the slopes this is the place to be!

After driving from Oregon we were wanting good quality food that wouldn't make us tired for the rest of our drive. This place comes across very casual, but the food and service are fabulous! We shared the Greek salad and chicken Parmesan sando. Both were great! The salad was fresh, almost too many olives (I never say that) and lots of feta. The tomatoes and cucumbers were also great. The sandwich had just the right amount of cheese and marinara. The bread was good and crunchy. Prices are higher than I expected in this area, but worth it. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you are looking for quality food and service.

10/10 would recommend. Great drinks and great food!! Cute outdoor patio and great service. Will be going back again on our 1 week trip here in Pagosa

Service was fine but the food was bad, the salad tasted old and unwashed and the steak was not worth the 60$ it cost. If you want a bellow average meal at the cost of a fine dining meal then this might be your place, otherwise there are plenty of other options and better places to eat.

Been here several times. This time sat at the bar. Service was friendly - but kitchen was a sh*t show. Ticket times were 30-45 minutes, fried chicken sandwich was RAW in the middle, asked for crispy fries & they were served soggy & cold. As we were at the bar & by the register we observed lots of apologies & discounts being given to unhappy customers. The manager needs to be there & dealing with the demise of a once good restaurant.

Stopped in during spring break. Looking for a warm meal after a long drive. Food was absolutely amazing!! Definitely recommend.

The food was good but the service was terrible (based on our one visit). We waited and waited for a server and for our food. I'm not in a big hurry to go back. We much preferred the Colorado Roadhouse during our recent two-week visit to Pagosa Springs.

First time here and can't wait to come back. Been coming to PS for over a decade and can't believe we hadn't been before. Westin was our Server. Super laid back which is perfect for us. We shared the crab cakes and you could tell they were house made- Fabulous. Old Fashioned Was On Point. The highlight for me was the music. Stick Figure Vibes . We love this place and appreciated how mellow everyone was.. Food Took A Little time but that's how you know it's gonna be good and should absolutely be expected when you are getting this high of quality. Bravo To This Gem of a Place!

Great food, wonderful service! They worked to accommodate us this week for a celebration. Loved the pork chop and wild berry lemon mascarpone Cake.

I've never experienced anything like this. We walk into this small cafe and stand there for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to even acknowledge us and seat us. Multiple servers walked by and no one said a word. When the host came out, he didn't even speak. My boyfriend had to ask him, can we please be seated and he very rudely said it's going to be a few more minutes. We left immediately. Do NOT recommend.

Food excellent. I had lamb chops. 8 lollipops expensive but good. Husband had blacken sea bass. The staff is very friendly and polite. Took 1 hr to get in. Then waited on our food for another 35 minutes after the salad. We had to complain in order to get attention about the matter. By this time the restaurant was less than half full. After all this, we caught a mistake on the bill and pointed it out. We owed 30 dollars more.

Absolutely best food ever! Best espresso martini ever. Chicken carbonara delicious! Stop in with friends that live here, we are from California and definitely will be back! Drew was our food server and we felt privileged to have him! Excellent service!

WOW!! That about sums it up... we were in a toss up between this place (the Yelp reviews were good) and going to a restaurant recommended by our hotel. We tried the place recommended by the hotel but when we arrived they had a long wait and boy are we glad they did!! Okay, so from the outside we were not sure what the experience was going to be like, but do not let its quaint appearance fool you, this place is a KNOCK OUT! The service was outstanding, from the moment we walked in; such kind, caring and attentive staff. The mozzarella sticks, corn chowder and Caesar salad were all on point. I had the Delmonico steak, with compound butter and added the shrimp scampi for $5, my husband had the Ahi filet with a peppered crust and Mediterranean sauce, the kids had chicken tenders and hot dog. Every. Single. Item was absolutely delish. If you are in Pagosa Springs, make sure you stop by. Their dinner menu is that of a fine dining restaurant with staff that are professional but warm and personable. Thank you for such a great meal!

We loved everything we ordered. And my wife and daughter were so happy with the gluten free options. And the service was amazing! Can't wait to go back to Pagosa and eat here again.

The menus posted on Yelp are out of date!! Based on the pictures, I thought this would be a place appropriate for us: 4 adults; 1 toddler -- looking for something sit down but pretty casual in the realm of $30pp with tip. The pictures here made it look relatively casual. The atmosphere is casual but the dinner prices are not! Entres started at ~$32 and we landed at almost $60 per adult with tip - 1 drink each. Food was pretty descent, but not worth the price in our opinion.

We walked in sat down and before we had a chance to look at the menu the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. I asked her to give us some time. She picked up the sugar packets and silverware and walked away. She came back and we ordered although she was out of what I wanted and had to substitute. The bread was soggy, she took the napkins away, we had not silverware, my sand was supposed to have horseradish sauce which I had to ask for but was given ranch. The potato salad had no taste and the potatoes were crunchy. I don't recommend this place.

Although everyone at this establishment is very friendly and the food was very yummy, I'm leaving this review solely for the hostess. She's literally the most polite person I've ever conversed with. She was attentive even after sitting us - literally the nicest person ever. Haha helped make it a great experience.

We came here on our first night into town after a long 2 day drive. It was just what we were looking for, delicious food, great service, lots of great options, laid back environment. We'll def be back during our month in town!
