Ranking The 7 Best Crab Rolls In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Edmonds-based operation running the kitchen at the Seattle Art Museum’s cafeteria offers stuff beyond sad packaged sandwiches and salads. After perusing abstract sculptures all day, you can refuel in a pleasant dining area with seafood like poke, clam chowder, and rockfish tacos. But the crab and lobster rolls are the biggest draws. We have no complaints about the meat inside—the crab ends get lightly toasted, adding a welcome texture. It’s just that the bread is a tad weak and you may wonder why you’re paying $36 for a full roll (or $22 for half) when you can get more for your money elsewhere in town." - gabe guarente

The Best Mini-Mart Fried Food In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Want to check out a life-sized statue of the Predator, get a pair of cheap sunglasses, and eat a filling late-night meal? You’ve come to the right place. This little store is at the nexus of the universe, situated a few blocks from major highways and Capitol Hill bars. That makes it a good spot to grab something to go at the deli counter, especially the pizza bites. They’re basically like Hot Pockets with a fried, toasty exterior and without the third-degree mouth burns." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo

Google
one of my most frequent places to stop and grab groceries omw home from work or whatever. I genuinely love this store and the workers are amazing. they have a great chicken strip basket. here's a pic of some toast I made with Seattle Sour Dough bread and cheese from the store

Miles Allister Pullar

Google
The closest store to me gets all 5 stars by default. They have a sandwich board with pictures and they host a scratch tick kiosk as well offer a variety of classic gas station deli style fare.Yay!

Tiger Island (Christopher McCrory)

Google
My dealer lives right over here, and their open late so im a reggie.the dudes working there are kinda eh, but you know...Ive got face tats so people are funny like that to me.ggghea

Google
For 10$ you can get this pathetic French dip. Warmed up roast beef deli meet with no cheese and beef broth. Chicken is soggy and luke warm.

George Masters

Google
My favorite market in the city. There are bigger markets and different kinds of markets, but this place has the best fried chicken I've ever had, has the basic grocery items, and it has a great beer selection, offering some beers I can't find anywhere else. Always great service, too.

Ross Henry

Google
First off: this place is run by respectful people, clean environment and reliable service. My rating is based on market fit. I believe the name, compared to the service, does not match. I have had a great experience at this location, but I feel that the target market of curbside appeal does not match the selection found within. If the name were more attuned to convenience store languaging, I think it would receive a 5 out of 5 rating. Rather, the messaging suggests more, and I think this is misleading. Product-market fit does not align, but the staff was friendly and informed.

Aaron Sullivan

Google
Good fried chicken, just inconsistent with hours and stock sometimes.

Anthony Schmitz

Google
Open late, which is nice, and has a lot of basic things you're looking for, but the place is a little rundown and dirty.

Shayan Z.

Yelp
City Market is the best! If you are a CapHill local you know this place is serving up the most affordable & customizable sandwiches! Not to mention they have a great beer selection, and pretty much anything you might need at all hours of the day - and the staff is great!

Yelp
A YouTuber mentioned this as one of the top 5 fried chicken spots in Seattle. We ended up here after our first choice was closed. Walking in, the place smelled great and the chicken looked cooked to perfection and everyone at the deli counter was ordering it. I like the leg, but they didn't have any, it was thighs and breasts, so I don't know if that's all they fry or if they were out of wings and legs. I decided to go with tenders and JoJo's. I'd give both B potential, but they were both D level. Both were hot, but nothing was crisp. Other places are able to keep chicken crisp, so they need to revisit their warmer setup, because chicken and JoJo's that aren't crisp, aren't good in my book. The people were nice, the price was fair, but the product was a disappointment, also, unless you are a local, good luck finding a parking spot and dealing with traffic.

Yelp
To the locals on the block, this establishment may be referred to with a name that rhymes with "City Market" but is less printable. To some degree this is out of affection. City Market is a neighborhood institution offering (at the very least) decent food and a passable stock of necessities at hours both late and early. Unlike at some other nearby convenience stores (where the cashiers are surly and prone to harassment of customers), the employees are pleasant in a laidback fashion, relatable if you're not a stuck-up jerk, and amenable to friendly chatter. If you are familiar with the movies of Kevin Smith, as a native of New Jersey I believe that City Market is where _Clerks_ would have been filmed were it set on the West Coast. The deli is superb by corner convenience store standards. The satisfyingly greasy, salty fried chicken and the custom-made sandwiches are very reasonable prices for the area. The cheese sauce sold with potato wedges during afternoons is magical. If you're not in the mood to be loaded up with carbs, I recommend buying a few chicken tenders and asking if the deli will sell you a tub of just the cheese sauce, no potato wedges. Consider throwing a buck into the tip jar if you do this. I would suggest not trying to do your general grocery shopping here due to the rather painful typical convenience store prices. You should also be aware that chaos visits this shop often. "Did you know that they sell drugs at the apartment building next door on the hill?!" Yeah, buddy, they know. Shout-out to the delightful effect that the Alien and Predator decorations have on the atmosphere, overall vibes, and ambiance. It is my understanding that some employee has been making steady efforts to offload their Alien and Predator merch collection here over the years, and I find it deeply endearing that the store chose to assimilate this into their sales and decor rather than reject the notion out of hand.

Yelp
The girl behind the counter was talking shit about me the whole time I was shopping because I'm white, she thought I don't understand Spanish. While I was shopping for salsa, she was telling her co worker, the guy at the front counter, I was trouble and to look out for me, for no reason. I called her out on it then she stopped. Don't go here if you want to have a good night. Keep moving on to the next place.
google avatar

Yelp
I love that it stays open till two and they have house cooked meals as well as a large selection of groceries! They also carry my favorite Yonder cinder which is huge plus for me! The staff has always been super nice and attentive

Yelp
If I could give it a zero, I would. I go to this place so many times and I lost count. Today I had the absolutely horrible experience. I did my usual thing by going to the back of the store to grab a Coke Zero. They weren't cold enough in the back, so I decided to grab the ones next to the cashier. While I was walking back, an old white man who worked there confronted me and commanded me to take the soda out of the pocket. I showed him my hands and he realized that I had nothing then he just said: oh I thought you grab a soda. He didn't apologize to me. I ended up grabbing a soda in the front and paying for it. After standing in front of the store for a few minutes, I decided to go back confront him. I walked back and told him: hey, it's not right to assume people and accuse people of things that they didn't do. Not only did he not apologize, he went even harder by saying: I saw you grab a soda. I replied back: play the video. If you don't have the evidence, you should apologize to me. He ended up ignoring me. All the other cashiers were just standing and looking. I told him: it's not right to treat a customer like this. I am never coming back to this store.

Yelp
Love this neighborhood corner store, they have great drink options if you need a drink on the go and they have a great Sandwich deli, but the store is a bit pricey. Tip: get their Kurt Cobain (veggie sandwich) ask for bacon on it. Now it's a Courtney love, they call it lol

Jan P.

Yelp
Great service.the place is very convenient and the staff are very helpful and friendly
google avatar

Trisha F.

Yelp
Like any other business, their staff sets this place apart. I imagine it's hard to remain so upbeat and positive sometimes working in this neighborhood, but they manage to! They're always so helpful. I have found the most random items here, and it's great for a spur of the moment bottle of wine or quick lunch. Their hot deli is great, and they have a lot of options for various dietary restriction. They've even got a microwave so you can heat things up on the spot. Prices are typically better elsewhere, but if you're here or in a pinch they probably have what you need from recipes to toiletries.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Moved to the neighborhood just 2 months ago. From the first time I walked in the door, this place has been exceptional. Totally fine with dogs (huge plus, especially when you can't leave your dog home), welcoming and friendly. Exactly one month after moving nearby, my incredible pup passed away and the staff have literally cried with me, given me hugs and ask me how I'm doing every time I come in. I have never felt so much like a part of a community since I moved from my home state of Vermont 3 years ago. Of course it will be more expensive than a grocery store- it's convenient. I have no problem paying more for that. They always have my ice cream and the deli is great! On top of everything else, I pick up a lot of trash and the owner has graciously allowed me to put some of that trash into their locked dumpster so that it doesn't end up back on the street. I will forever be a customer
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
This place is super expensive but that's the cost of connivance. They are open late and always have what I need when I'm in a pinch. Their deli is pretty good and their fried hot food hits the spot when I'm in a rush. They have a parking lot which makes it super easy to run in and out.

Richard H.

Yelp
If you want to pay very high prices in the daytime, fine if it's convenient. There is a nice staff. In the middle of the night, there are drug dealers and hoods hanging out literally in front of the store on the side of it that yoju have to walk past to get in. I will never go back there again.

Al H.

Yelp
i used to like this place. they have everything you need, the staff are often quite kind and seem like they are respectful to the homeless people who often hang out outside. (who are always very kind themselves and are just looking to get a few dollars or some food.) tonight however, my girlfriend and I bought some groceries and as we were checking out, a little boy, had to be about 7 or 8, tried to buy a Gatorade and didn't have enough money. we offered to pay for him and the old man with the white beard, bald head, and glasses working there got extremely mean, yelled at us and the kid and forced us to get out. How are you so far up your own ass that you can have that little empathy for another human being? to your customers? to a fucking kid. a kid I believe is homeless and probably endures abuse every day. I hope to God that man realizes he's going to hell. If he's not the owner he absolutely deserves to be fired for that display. I will not be going here anymore. hope your 3 dollars was worth it to verbally abuse a kid and 2 of your daily customers. sad and embarrassing.

Demon L.

Yelp
OBVIOUSLY 21 bought here MULTIPLE times and still got told no and that im underwge by a female whos NEVER THERE. ‍ looked stupid in the end anyways got my beer n wraps not trippin
google avatar

Kayleigh J.

Yelp
Always helps with quick cravings, a short walk from most places on capital hill. Their canned soup is about 5 smucks, but you can find some cheap deals. Although if you aren't a penny pincher, no stress! The staff is nice and are efficient in keeping the line moving.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Long time local market that has a surprisingly large selection of quality grocery items and food ready to eat.
google avatar

Paolo P.

Yelp
It's a goddamn convenience store. You buy, you go. Anyone with street sense would tell you if shady things are going down in, around or behind the counter, you have the legs (or wheels) to l e a v e the establishment. I've done so multiple times and I still come back because its a convenient store...with things I need last minute. Lol. It's not that serious. Im trying to eat healthier but when I dont I come here. The greasy chicken and potato wedges HIT when I dont feel like ~bEiNg gOoD~ on nights I come home after a bad work day.
google avatar

Nik V.

Yelp
My favorite corner store in Seattle. Sure, it's more expensive than Safeway or Kroger but the hilarious shop signs, great selection, and super cool employees make it worth it. Support local!
google avatar

Adrian L.

Yelp
At 10:53 am March 23rd 2019 I was overcharged for goods. The lady by the counter was pissed off about something and I just walked in to buy a soda. she was upset and and rude and I know she overcharged me but didn't want to say anything because she was already pissed off and treating me like crap. I will never go there again. She treated me like I was some crack head and never done drugs in my life. I am a 9/11 vet and served my country and was treated like a piece of crap. I been going to city market for years and this is the first time I felt unwanted. The person in front of me in line she cussed out and treated him like a dirtbag. I never had this experience at city market before this lady.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Great location! My dog loves City Market. Also, their buffalo chicken pizza is killer.
google avatar

B. B.

Yelp
The sandwich my partner bought me for dinner from City Market today legit has 2 deli slices of turkey on a large roll. The normal sandwich dude wasn't there, so hopefully this isn't how things are going. There are more onions than turkey on here.

Angela S.

Yelp
Cool little grocery store in the middle of the city. Has a little of everything. The staff were really nice and the deli sandwiches were really nice!
google avatar

Katya L.

Yelp
Shitty Markup, indeed. Look, I love to support the little guy as much as the next dirty liberal Seattle hipster. In theory, I'd much rather shop at the corner store (so I can call it a bodega and pretend I actually live in NYC) than the giant supermarket. And City Market does have hilarious, endearing signs. And they do have $1.50 corn dogs (om nom nom). Unfortunately, they also have ridiculous prices on just about everything else (like chips! and ramen!) and I'm often skint. I'd be able to overlook that at times, though, if their employees weren't among the rudest I've ever encountered. Every time I'm in there, the cashiers are chatting amongst themselves or with their visiting friends and it feels for all the world like a clique-y little club that I'm not cool enough to be a part of and because of that, ringing up my Red Bull is just such a huge inconvenience. It's not simply that they're not all smiley and friendly - I've actually felt so unwelcome that I was physically uncomfortable while being rung up, like the employees resented my presence. So I guess I won't be going back there, since I'm not a part of that cool club that actually gets to be treated like a person while shopping.

Yelp
City Market is a small store on Capitol Hill that has a surprisingly good mix of products that definitely puts it a cut above the average local convenience store. On my last trip, I was looking for a quick meal and decided to check out they're deli and was impressed with the variety of sandwiches and cooked food items. I settled on the chicken strip and jojo's combo that at first I thought was pretty standard price until I got home, opened up the box and saw the gigantic pile of potatoes and chicken. Needless to say I was very happy with this purchase and probably needed a nap afterward. Outside of the deli area, you have a very solid selection of grocery and household items for sale at prices that are about what you would expect.

Alexis P.

Yelp
They always have nice staff & a great selection of stuff you wouldn't expect! A bit pricier than a QFC of course, but the convenience of the hours is great. Plus there's a little parking lot to the side. Love this place
google avatar

Gene-Allen M.

Yelp
Great low cost, simple sandwiches made to order. On top of night deli access, and a good supply of household goods, food, and drink.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
I love city market! The staff is excellent and they are well stocked of everything you could imagine!

Olivia B.

Yelp
Pretty sure I got food poisoning from their chicken strips, though food poisoning is hard to pin point where it came from. Dude at the deli is usually pretty exasperated but I guess I get it, I work in the industry. Still, kind of abrasive. Prices for most things are high, except for deli items, which I no longer trust because I've had intense cramping, vomiting and diarrhea all day. Dunno what caused it exactly but city market chicken was the last thing I ate before I felt like hot garbage. They are open until 2 ish and most of the employees are actually pretty nice. They have a good selection.
google avatar

Keisha L.

Yelp
Yummy yum my ex-boyfriend took me to this place while we waited for are laundry to get done he said his boss took him here before and that I should try onr of there sandwiches I orderd a French dip with cheddar cheese and i grabed a rockstar energy drink as i waited for the man to make my sandwich. After getting my food I went back to the laundry mat and took a sip of the boiling hot auju then took a bit of the sandwich wow that is a new top 5 French dip the meat was perfect fresh hoggie n savory dip. Only paid 7.99 for a huge sandwich.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Neighborhood Staple. Great selection of grocery items and beverages. Hot food chicken etc. is good quality. A must visit when on Cap Hill.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Cheap as anything, open hellsa late, and with all the snacks and ... videos you'll ever need. I mean, you can snag your energy drinks, your corn dogs, and vegan jerky(?) to sustain a long night of debauch in a great location.
google avatar

EMILY W.

Yelp
Wow, rude. I found myself next door in their laundry center doing some clothes one day around lunch, so while my stuff was drying I walked into the store. I saw their board advertising sandwiches so I made my way to the deli counter and asked the guy behind the counter "What's good here, what is the one sandwich that you are known for?" and he gave me a blank look back. He said "Well, everything we have is on the board..." like I was an idiot...really? He then blessed my experience by whipping out a little order form and starts to ask me what kind of cheese I wanted, bread, lettuce and tomato...and I answer each question then he sighs really big and turns the sheet around and hands me an ink pen. Like "Look woman, fill out your own order!" My whole point is this: If someone is new to your establishment and needs guidance on what to order don't be a douche, just help them out! I eventually told the older man that they obviously didn't need MY money and walked out.
google avatar

Cassie B.

Yelp
City Market is the best scruffy corner store on the Hill. They have some wines I like, a decent selection of grocery items, snacks that aren't junk as well as all the expected snacks that are deliciously junky, and a big selection of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches. They carry Hillside Quickies! Yum! I stopped here yesterday, wanting only a Starbucks Doubleshot Light, an Odwalla Carrot Juice, and a Hillside sandwich. Done, done, and done. The employees are great. Scruffy and eclectic and friendly, every one. How many convenience stores can boast that? And their sandwich board jokes and drawings are cheesy, but they make me laugh anyhow. This place has character. I likes it.
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
They carry vegan items!!! -vegan jerky -vegan sandwiches -Kombucha -Veggies (that are actually edible) -lots of healthy options; soy nuts, organic items. i love me a hippie-yuppie market!
google avatar

Leeanne M.

Yelp
Ok, City Market. I have decided to up you star. To a solid three. I think there is only one crabby-ass employee here, as I have been back several times and everyone else has been nice or at least doesn't glare at me. Basically, it's close, you can get household sundries here without trucking up to QFC, a great little deli with fresh sammies, wine, beer and other necessities for living. Awesome hours. Funny signs outside. A solid indie business that fills a void on the Hill.
google avatar

Todd L.

Yelp
From Wikipedia...... In Australia, Canada and the United States, a general store is a retailer located in a small town or in a rural area with a broad selection of merchandise crammed into a relatively small space where people from the town and surrounding rural areas come to purchase all their general goods, both in stock and special order from warehouses...... Bodeguita comes from the Spanish language as a diminutive of bodega which means "small store" or "small warehouse". Traditionally, Bodeguita existed selling general merchandise, then they were replaced slowly by the chain store, the same way large US chains have practically eliminated the "mom and pop" store. Up on the Hill we call our bodega City Market. Fried chicken to rival Ezell's, good beer selection, and everything you might need if a QFC or Safeway is not convenient. My last visit to City Market.... 1. Fried fucking chicken. (Even though I just ate.....couldn't help my piggy self). 2. Q-tips 3. Three different kinds of IPA 4. Wine for the wife ( a decent bottle as well) 5. Shit all men wish their wives would NOT ask them to buy (guess what that...or I should say those were) 6. Cat food (now will you shut up, Krammar?.....(my cat)) One stop shoppin' in the hood.
google avatar

Phillip P.

Yelp
I come here mostly to buy sandwiches. Sadly, they advertise that they make them until 1AM which is almost NEVER the case. I try not to be *that guy who comes in at 12:55AM but I've been turned away from ordering a sandwich as early as midnight. And on various occasions. It's a shame because they're the primacy reason I spend money here. So if I can't get a sandwich, I leave and spend my money elsewhere. That late at night there aren't many other options here other than packaged food that's been sitting out. I might as well hit up Hot Mama's or something else that's open nearby. If you are lucky enough to get a sandwich here, they're awesome. The chicken salad and the Tom Skerit are to die for.
google avatar

Jen I.

Yelp
Thank you City Market for making my $2 soup dreams come true. Thank you for carrying awesome vegan cookies and a shockingly decent selection of vegan/vegetarian pre-made sandwiches. You get that one last star to make you perfect by changing your hours to be open until 3AM. That one night when I found myself outside your doors at 2:38AM was one of the saddest moments of my life.
google avatar

E S.

Yelp
Don't go here for your daily needs. It'll be a total ripoff. I only go here for groceries if I've forgotten something (a lime for a box of Coronas, for instance), or really want a soda for some bizzarre reason. But there is one good thing about this place: The deli. The pre-cooked stuff you should stay away from, but the sandwich shop is actually pretty darn good. For $5, you can get a "bat boy," which is 3 meats and 2 cheeses on your choice of bread with your other fixings. Couple that with a bag of Tim's Cascade Jalapeno chips and a beer (from your own selection, don't bother buying beer here either as the "sales" are bringing them down to normal prices), and you have a cheap meal that's pretty good. Oh, and watch out for the multitude of panhandlers outside. Nice enough people, I guess (no aggressive ones), but when you see the same person over and over again, it kind of gets to you. If you're feeling charitable, bring them a sandwich, not give them your change.
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
Around my office, City Market is known as "Fast Sandwich." In fact, I'm positive that most of my coworkers don't realize it has a different, official name. But that should give you an idea of my experience here: I have enjoyed their sandwiches, coolers of soft drinks, and nothing else. They make their sandwiches fast and fresh, and I've never had a bad one. My go-to is the "Tom Skerritt" (turkey, bacon, cheese). Grab a slip of paper at the deli counter, fill out your desired options, and leave it there for the delimaster to see. Other coworkers swear by "The Bezos" and the "Kurt Cobain," but I can't personally vouch for those. I also participate in the sandwich punch-card racket whereby I get a free sandwich after purchasing 12. The staff is always pleasant, and if they don't know the price of something you're buying, they'll just ring it up with some low-ball estimate. Don't you try to tell them the right price, because they don't care! Other good things: - Funny/intentionally cheese sidewalk signs outside - A respectably large selection of porn movies for rent, wrapped in brown paper to protect the kiddies - It's close to my office - They offer fried foods (chicken, breaded junk, etc.) under heat lamps
google avatar

Kat F.

Yelp
I find myself in City Market way more often than is logical, since I don't live on the hill. It's just great for a last minute beer run, or a snack, or some random produce that you just can't live without in that moment. The cashiers are really friendly and usually nice to look at. I always forget that they have a minimum that you have to hit before you can use a card and they're never rude about it. (It's never a problem to find something else to buy!) The hilarious signs out front are just the icing on the cake!
google avatar

CynthiaGirl S.

Yelp
Today one of the hand-drawn advertisements on an A-board out front is about how Archie is going to marry Veronica because she took him to City Market (Betty was too cheap). I love these clever signs that always change and often take on current events in their sly, cheeky way. But I otherwise wish the outside of this corner grocery properly conveyed what's going on inside. From the outside, it looks a little ghetto. Inside, though? I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised whenever I go inside City Market. I just live down the block but it's easy to park right in front and run in for a moment to get your provisions while on your way home. They also have a parking lot with spaces always available. And they have so many things you might need, including an excellent wine selection, decent produce, and Tom's of Maine toothpaste. Oh, and a vast array of interesting-looking magazines that I purposely avoid perusing because when I do that, I always end up buying one. Clean, well-stocked and organized, City Market also has a friendly - actually, cheerful- staff that is attentive and quick to ring you up (so the magazines can only tempt for an instant). Why go to either gigantic QFC on Broadway, both with the crappiest parking situations and icky street traffic, when you can pop in to City Market and avoid so much unnecessary aggravation? At least this is how I explain it to myself when I don't want to bother with an entire grocery store visit. I guess I have become a sort of minimalist lately, so City Market suits me and does its job perfectly.
google avatar

Dustin J.

Yelp
This place fuckin rocks. It's a neighborhood staple. If you need some simple items and don't want to go ALL THE WAY to QFC (lazy) then City Market is your place. Oh, and a little known fact: Their fruit (not us gays that frequent the place, the actual produce) is AAAAAMMMAAAAZZZZIIIIIINNNGGG! I have no idea what it is, but it's great. I've never compared prices, but they are certainly reasonable. Plus, the staff are all pretty amazing. Another piece of food for thought (haha, get it?) the owners of CM are very neighborhood friendly. They often donate to nonprofits that are in need of donations of food or drink for events... Yep a pretty damn cool place if you ask me.
google avatar

Karen J.

Yelp
I love the convenience of having a grocery store right in my neighborhood and the prices compare with QFC. My only problem is with the short blond girl. She curses at me half the time she checks me out. I've tried being real nice to her hoping I'll get back what I give but, forget it. This young woman is rude, crude, and some of her T shirts are lewd. I've started shopping at the Hillcrest Market so I won't be insulted and verbally abused. Check the pull dates on the food and soda they sometimes have out dated products. Their sign maker has a warped but great sense of humor.
google avatar

Tiny G.

Yelp
I find reasons to visit City Market - I need a scratch ticket, a roll of quarters for laundry, chicken wings & hot sauce....if I need it City Market has got it and if you need a laugh, check out those awesome signs
google avatar

Danny D.

Yelp
Best deli in town. Price of regular groceries are high but the deli has the best chicken salad and fried chicken in a Seattle area grocery store.
google avatar

Elliebeth M.

Yelp
Super convenient store has everything I need around the apartment, a little pricey sometimes but it's worth it for the short walk! Great crew hilarious fun people work here it's the easiest fun job I've ever had.
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
I lived a block away from this place for a year and it was by far the most convenient convenience store I've ever frequented. Surprisingly they always seem to have what I'm looking for. Packing tape, produce, bottle of wine, orajel, umbrella, ice cream, trash bags, envelopes, light bulbs, EVERYTHING. All the random little shit that you don't want to make a full target outing for. The staff gives off an air of not giving a shit, but honestly, it adds to the charm (They're totally cool though).

Yelp
YAY: Across the street. Crazy selections for a corner store. Huge fancy beer and wine selection! Crazy selection of the 'hoods finest to entertain you while you shop. Funny Signs. Decent people workin' there! Movies to rent when I am too impatient to... you know, wait for it off the internet! BOO: Spendy (like 100% markup on safeway prices for some stuff). Questionable produce. I some other people say it was fresh, but I come here... a lot... more than i should, probably, and I have seen some sad produce. And it's not just the produce! Expired cheese(I still ate it), expired bread(I definitely did not), expired soymilk (doesn't this crap usually stay good for like a decade?!). Crazies. Like the bad ones who accost you outside because they are not allowed in. It has only earned itself three stars, but this should not deter you from patronizing (shopping, not belittling) this fine establishment, in hopes that higher product turnover means less moldy bread!
