This property is managed with a clear lack of accountability and basic tenant safety. If you are locked out of your apartment, management requires you to wait at least an hour for access, provides no estimated arrival time, and shows no urgency whatsoever. I explicitly explained—both verbally and in writing—that as a physician who may be on call, this poses a serious safety risk and potential liability. Management was apathetic and said there was nothing they could do. There are tons of people who smoke weed here and it was coming through our vents inside our apartment. Management said that we should call the police if we are truly concerned since they leave by 4 pm everyday. We had to go in person to tell them about someone smoking on our floor and they checked out the scene, then when asked what steps would be taken, they said we were not privy to know that information. The electronic locks are not maintained properly; batteries are not checked routinely, meaning tenants can be locked out due to management’s negligence. When this occurs, there is no apology, responsibility taken, or effort to remedy the situation promptly. After returning from an international trip, I was locked out of my apartment for hours. Upon finally gaining access, I discovered gushing water in my master bathroom. Maintenance was unable to fix the issue for over 24 hours. To date, I have received no formal apology, explanation, or compensation. Management has since ceased responding altogether. After begging for weeks to speak with the manager and facing the rudeness of Maloree Robinson, we could finally speak with the manager, Art Kress, who promised follow-up and answers 25 days ago and has since ignored all communications. There have been additional serious quality issues, including an incident in which the entire kitchen sink collapsed into the cabinet below, reflecting poor construction and inadequate oversight. This property is poorly built and horribly managed. If you expect timely assistance, professionalism, or concern for tenant safety, do not live here. Comparable housing is available at lower rent with landlords who actually respond and take responsibility.

Let me start off with the bad. We relocated to Detroit and moved into The Residences at City Modern. Upon move in, the apartment had several issues. First, the apartment was not cleaned before we moved in thoroughly and paint was splattered all over the floors. Second, there was a leak under the second bathroom sink. Third, the shelves in the closet were installed with cheap screws that are not meant to hold weight so, of course, a shelf broke as soon as we put clothes on it. To further the issues, not a single apology was given by management. They said they would clean it the following week and after receiving an email that it was cleaned, we arrived home that evening to the apartment in the same condition. Even worse, they questioned us after we told them it wasn’t clean. Management needs to start taking responsibility. The Good: it is a very nice community with many advantages including a safe neighborhood and convenience of location. So far, any work orders (besides the cleaning) we’re handled promptly and management has been very responsive. Ways to improve: Be courteous of your residents, apologize when at fault, ensure all common area amenities are always functioning. There’s potential for this to be a 5/5 but management must start taking accountability.

Car broken into when I moved in, directly outside of the building / cameras. Boyfriend’s car just simply stolen under cameras- bedrock won’t give you the footage. The “24 /7” security is a joke. One day we watched a criminal walk the line of cars parked out front and try to open every car door. We reported it to the security guard and nothing happened. The dryer barely worked, my clothes were always damp. My key fob sometimes didn’t work, causing me to be locked out until security would come up to an hour later. On move in day my cabinet fell off, toilets didn’t work multiple times, outlets didn’t work, no lights in most rooms? Staff incredibly unprofessional - maintenance men came in my unit without me there after multiple requests not to, after they had to fix the mold above my shower by cutting a hole into the ceiling for multiple days. I would not recommend any Bedrock building to anyone. I had a better and cheaper experience at Lofts at Rivertown.

Lived here for 2 years - 200 Edmund Starting off with the Cons: 1. Metropolis Parking - Wished Bedrock did more research on this company before partnering up with them. Check their reviews on Google, BBB, and news channels. BBB issued an alert due to pattern of complaints - even went up to the attorney general in TN. They're a separate entity from Bedrock. They charged me a whole month ($165) of parking even though my lease was ending within the 1st week of the month (6th). Metropolis customer service is awful, would not budge on a refund / prorate. 2. If you don't buy private parking, street parking is an option, but i've had my car scratched/dented before. If there are games at any stadiums, you will NOT find street parking. 3. Rent prices kept going up - I had to relocate. Pros: 1. Amazing/friendly community 2. Clean/bright hallways 3. Good amenities (Gym had great equipments, ask stores below if they offer resident discounts) 4. Units - Tall ceilings, Modern finishes, Big windows 5. Auto lock - security is relatively quick to help you if you lock yourself out 6. Maintenance - were respectful and helpful 7. I've had friendly interactions with the leasing office from my experience 8. Wish I took advantage of private rooftop views 9. Fiber Internet - Rarely had internet issues! Overall - I had a great experience, but the parking issue left a sour taste in my mouth.

Terrible customer service and unhelpful as soon as you sign the paperwork. Sold the building to a new management company 3 days before my move in date and said not a single word about it. Told me I would get my keys on move in date, then ghosted me as soon as the new company took over. Customer service was rude and unhelp, all they needed to do was explain what happened and give the new contact information. Didn't even know there was a new company in charge till I was able to talk with a neighbor who gave me contact info I needed. No fault on the new management company's side. Awful, would not sign with them again for any of their properties.

Love the apartment I’m living in (2660 John R). It has so much natural light and even the appliance are top notch!

I was lucky to have Corina as my leasing agent as i rented my apartment. She was very patient and always responsive to questions.

Live here so I'm biased, best neighbors ever!
