Has potential! Went here for the first time for the Buckeye game tonight. Pros: - reservations - decently good food and good game day deals! - great space and location Cons: - the biggest con of all and why I wouldn’t necessarily go back for a Buckeye game: it was WAY too loud 😭 my head and ears hurt!! Might be different for a day game. - reservation wasn’t ready when we arrived on time, but we were seated by game time - understaffed for amount of people, but also waitress would walk away before the entire table was finished ordering - giving tables water to start with would be appreciated, took a while to get water

Love that the place is so open with the garage doors and patio. The smash burger was good, chicken ceasar wrap was good. Fries were lacking. The service was friendly but they were severely understaffed. It was ridiculous how dirty the tables and bar were, and not at the fault of the staff. There were only two people for the entire place doing their best.

This is easily one of the best sports bars in the area. It strikes a perfect balance with quality drinks, great food, and an atmosphere that feels relaxed and welcoming. It is polished enough to bring a group of friends but still casual and comfortable. Nothing pretentious and nothing divey. Just a place that always feels like a good choice. During warm weather, the back patio is the place to be. It is spacious and perfect for hanging out with a larger group. When the weather is nice, the main doors are open which brings fresh air through the space and gives everything an open and energetic feel. Their seasonal cocktail menu always has something new and interesting, and the drinks are made with care. The food consistently exceeds the standard sports bar vibe. It feels like a place where you can actually enjoy a full meal, not just grab something to snack on. The staff deserves a mention. They are friendly, attentive, and always seem to remember faces. It makes the whole experience feel personal and keeps you wanting to come back. Whether you are catching a game or meeting friends, this spot delivers every time.

Stopped in the other night for a bite to eat and some cocktails and had THE best experience. We had the spicy margaritas and long islands. The drinks were consistent and on point. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and fried pickles. Probably one the best dips I’ve ever had. We also got the hot honey pepperoni pizza. We love their fresh twist on a familiar favorite. We sat in the patio area, was the perfect spot to watch the game. Service is 12/10 all the bar and waitstaff were so friendly and inviting. Will definitely be coming back.

Highly recommend! City Nikki’s has such a great vibe. It was my first time there and I’m already looking forward to going back. The patio is perfect for a warm Chicago night, and everything from the cocktails to the food was on point. The smash burger was seriously delicious. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel totally at home.

The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, and the staff makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The patio is awesome—perfect for relaxing with friends or family. I had the pizza and it was absolutely delicious—you can tell it’s made fresh daily. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend!

Absolute incredible time tonight! The bartender Lee made amazing cocktails and the burger was the greatest burger I’ve had at a sports bar. They have the back patio and kitchen open all night. Immaculate music, great energy, 10/10 vibes from this elevated sports bar!

I’m in the industry and work literally four doors down from City Nikki’s. I’ve been here before & have never been treated this way. My face is well known and I’m recognized for being a pleasant customer. I actually adore the bar manager, he is so helpful and friendly. So I was truly taken aback when Victor, a bartender that only comes on Sundays, was blatantly rude to me when it’s our first time meeting. I had to get his attention three times but I even let those interactions slide because the bar was in fact busy. Once he got done giving out handshakes to pretty women at the bar, I finally got his attention and I ordered two tequila shots. He poured what looked like a half shot to me so I jokingly asked him “where’s the industry love?” He responded with “you’ll get 30% off” while simultaneously taking the shots back behind the bar. I didn’t understand that action when I was simply asking him a question & I’m sure it’s not the first time someone had an inquiry about the shot. It made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. At this point, I tried to ask him about a double shot and he interrupted me to say “do you want the shots or not? You don’t have to drink it” in a snappy way, while still holding them behind the bar and that made me feel like I was bothering him & that he didn’t want to serve me. I responded saying that I did want the drinks, I was just trying to ask him a question and he said he didn’t have time to “argue” with me because his bar was full as if I wasn’t deserving of my individual interaction as a patron. Obviously I canceled the order because I was treated so rudely. Right after I did that, he tells a different bartender to cut me off, as if I was drunk and unruly when I literally JUST got off work and wasn’t the rude one in this situation so there was no reason to tell another bartender to not serve me just because he handled our interaction poorly. My coworkers that I was with agreed that he was being appallingly disrespectful to a fellow industry member and we all left. He made sure to yell goodbye loudly to one of my coworkers who also didn’t appreciate his demeanor but he did it so that I would feel even more ostracized and uncomfortable. I thought that was extremely immature and unprofessional. I actually like city Nikki’s but this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to report it.

I checked out this new spot in River Noeth about a week and a half ago to watch some football on a Sunday. There are a lot of bars and places to watch football in this area, but this spot seems like it's a great one. First, the food was very good. I ordered the smashburger with tots, buffalo chicken wings, an espresso martini and a cookie skillet for dessert. I've had a lot of smashburgers and this is a very good one. The espresso martini measures up to anyone that I've had in any Chicago bar. The tots were hot and crispy and the chicken wings very good. The cookie skillet is a a must order for dessert. I loved the ambiance. It's a pretty classic bar and grill with a lot of TVs, but their patio sets the place apart. It gets tons of sun and still has plate of TVs to watch the game. The service as excellent. My waitress was nice, attentive and had good suggestions. This is a must visit apart for a drink, food or to juts watch the game.

Newley opened. Great drink selections and make sure you take advantage of their happy hour. There's also a full menu, this spacious restaurant a solid new addition. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside, plus a charming outdoor patio out front--perfect for soaking up good weather. The service is excellent and super friendly, even during busy happy hour rushes. A great casual spot to kick back with friends and enjoy food, drinks, and company.

Pretty good new place that opened in the Bar Cargo space. The interior is exactly the same... a new sign out front and a paint change is all that I noticed. There's a great happy hour with some bar snacks. The food is great for what it is. I'd recommend coming for a quick drink after work!

Ahh! This used to be Bar Cargo. Remember that! They are New Kids on the Block. I had their fries and some other items. The staff and service is very good.

Thrilled to find this sweet little gem and have a quick burger and fries and ofc a lovely margarita Super sweet server and great location

Me and a few friends went to City Nikki's for the OSU vs Texas game. We attended the Oasis concert a few nights before but found this Ohio State Bar via yelp. Being a Buckeyes fan we got there early, 9:48 CST. The bartenders were super attentive and food was great! The Dj was rocking and the overall atmosphere was similar to Columbus! Great crowd, clean bathrooms, good food, and an A+ time! Go Bucks!

Came for the great happy hour deal and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! Couldn't believe there weren't more people there, perfect spot for a summer happy hour.

This spot was amazing! I was very sad to see the restaurant empty. Ambiance is great, very similar to the former bar cargo but much more inviting. $5 mimosas and $10 aperol spritz on the weekend was a hit. Might be the BEST chicken Caesar wrap in the city. Also got the cheese curds which were amazing as well. 10/10.

I have been here a few times, and I really love the happy hour deals as well as their food. But it is always ruined by how terrible their service is. Every time, I am actively hunting down a server to please check in on us. I'm not sure if they need more servers or just better quality, but the lack of apology for the poor service is damaging.

city Nikki's is a vibe!! great new spot in river north with amazing happy hour deals and the smash burger is one of my favs in the city. I will definitely be a regular here!
