The Best Food and Drink-Fueled Día De Los Muertos Celebrations in Houston, 2024 | Eater Houston

"At City Place in North Houston I’ll catch their kickoff on Friday, November 1 at 6:45 p.m. with a free showing of Disney’s Coco (complimentary popcorn while supplies last), and plan to return on Saturday, November 2 for a ceremonial altar (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.), craft stations for flower crowns, piñatas, and decorative folk art, an open-air market of local artists and vendors, Loteria, face-painting, pop-up dance performances, mariachi, live music from Bidi Bidi Banda (Austin’s first-all-star Selena tribute band), and plenty of food trucks." - Brittany Britto Garley

I love this park and the free activities that are offered on the weekends. I'm not sure if it is every weekend or some, but you can check that information on their website. So far, we have done a movie at the lawn with free popcorn, a video game truck, bubbles, and exercise. The trail is so nice, especially at night, with the waterfall light up. There are plenty of seats to relax.

City Place is a hidden gem in Spring, TX! The area offers a perfect mix of modern architecture, green spaces, and a vibrant community atmosphere. I love how walkable and scenic it is—whether you're grabbing a bite at one of the great restaurants, enjoying live music during their events, or just taking a peaceful stroll through the trails, there’s always something to do. The dining options are fantastic, ranging from casual spots to more upscale choices, and the outdoor seating with beautiful views is a bonus. It’s also a great spot for families, professionals, and anyone who enjoys a lively, yet relaxing environment. If you're into outdoor activities, the proximity to Springwoods Village and its trails is a huge plus. The blend of work, play, and nature makes it a standout destination in North Houston. Highly recommend visiting or even considering it as a place to live or work. It's a true gem in the Houston area!

Gingerbread village was cute but it was smaller than I thought. Cute place to take some photos with the kiddos. Beautiful place for enjoying nature and walk around. There are some restaurants and coffee shops, and space for a picnic.

🎁 We always have to stop by City Place at least once during the Christmas season. Today after showing properties, we brought the boys out to the Gingerbread Village. It was as spectacular as always! I posted the list of events for this season. 🎄

We love this place! Love to get coffee at Common Bond and let the kids run loose in the park area! Island Cafe has some of the best food around! If you haven't visited, you should! Especially at night next to the pond with a cool breeze blowing and the lights bouncing off the water....pretty much perfect!
