We’ve been here a number of times in years past and always thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. It’s been a few years and we went today during our annual holiday shopping day.
The first most notable thing was the numerous empty tables- during years last, you’d have to wait or absolutely have a reservation because it would be bustling.
We noticed the prices had increased on the menu (a sign of the times) but knew the food was reliably good so no matter.
Well, talk about disappointing.
We started with the ten spice wings - formerly gluten free but no longer. A whopping 7 wings for $18. But don’t worry, you can add on for $1/wing on Sundays (we declined). We also had no idea it would be 7 wings, but alas.
I ordered the lox and bagel which was meant to come with capers, herb cream cheese, tomato, dill, grilled lemon and a side Caesar.
My bagel arrived with the thought of cream cheese maybe one thinning about being on it, a tomato and some salmon and dill. Missing half the accouterments. I had also asked for a sub of cucumber for tomato which was forgotten (nbd, easily corrected) but also had to ask for cream cheese on the side which they brought out as a plain cream cheese with the remnants of breadcrumbs in the bowl.
As we got our bill my sister realized her drink was $13.50 which was outrageous for a beer.
Overall- quality in food and care is lacking, and it’s no longer worth the high price tag. At least our server was pleasant.
