The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a night out with friends. The food is consistently great, with a solid mix of comfort classics and creative twists. I highly recommend the wings, and their beer selection is top-notch, with plenty of local and seasonal options to choose from. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and service is quick even when the place is busy. I also really like the spacious layout and the outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Whether you’re in the mood for a good meal, a drink with friends, or just a relaxed spot to hang out, City Tap is a go-to in Boston. Highly recommend!

We had to wait about 7-10 for the server to come. When he took our order, the food came in fast and it was quite tasty. We got the black angusbtap burger and the Margherita pizza. The pizza was thin, and it was okay. The burger was amazing! And the fries were quite good as well. They offer a wide range of beers. We had a nice dinner

Great range of beers and food as well. I had a burger and pizza. Both could have been better but still they were decent. It was my 4th or 5th time here. Love the place and vibe.

Google
I enjoyed it. The food prices were right in line with what I would expect for the area. Pork nachos were good, service was fast and friendly. Beer selection was huge.

The food here is GREAT value for seaport. Close to suburb prices. The staff are super kind and outdoor seating available. The indoor dining room is large and also has a bar. Will be returning!

Google
Great dinner here! Pretty solid American food here—me and a friend split a pepperoni pizza and the fried chicken sandwich and both were excellent. Chicken was crispy and the pizza was saucy and flavorful. Would definitely recommend both. Fries for the sandwich were really good too and came with truffle aioli. Need to come back to try brunch!

Didn’t have food here but stopped for late night cocktails. Great bar , no wait.. cute bar

Keithe took great care of me with beer recommendations and great service! He made the afternoon such a relaxing experience! I enjoyed time on the patio with amazing weather and music from the restaurant! When I’m in Boston again, I will be back to try the food!

Yelp
I made a reservation for Monday night dinner for 11 people to take out my team. The reservation was ready and we were able to sit down as soon as we got there. It's a typical bar restaurant setting. Service was really good and attentive. The food was really good. We got brussels sprouts, corn and crab hush puppies, and chips with street corn dip and all were delicious. I got the warm lobster roll at market price which wasn't bad at $39. It was a very good lobster roll and fries. It filled me up. I didn't drink, but the rest of my team did and they liked the variety selection of beers, mixmixed cocktails, and wine. The bill was around $600 total for the 11 of us which was expected with respect to the area and the quality food and drinks we got.

Yelp
So many really delicious places in Boston, this would not be on my list. We came for the weekend to check this place out before the game... the soda was a little flat, and the chicken wings were just okay. The highlight was pretzel sticks that you cannot go wrong with. It was clean, and the service was good when our server eventually came, but I would try somewhere else. Reminds me more of like an Outback (but I think Outback wings are better).

Yelp
A group of 6 of us were trying to secure a dinner spot and luckily City Tap House had some availabilities! We had a 7 pm reservation and were promptly seated once we arrived. We were waiting for the rest of our party and our host got us started with some drinks while patiently waiting for everyone. I asked for a drink recommendation and ended up with the ginger cucumber margarhita and loved it! For food, we ordered Brussels sprouts, hummus, and elote corn for the table and I got the crab cake plate for myself. Restrooms were also clean! Overall had a very enjoyable time and would come back with a group.

Yelp
This is the kind of place you can go with a family and you just got off a plane and want to please everyone. Unfortunately the service was unfriendly and every table had at least one mistake with their order including ours. I think at the end you'll just feel sad you came here. Ambiance is fine. Food was fine. You can do better!

Yelp
The Guinness braised beef sandwich was great! We also enjoyed the Nashville Cauliflower and Burger. I liked the cozy atmosphere, clean restrooms and many beers on tap! Very close to the convention center.

Yelp
Spur of the moment hunt for an espresso martini and lunch. Honestly not bad! Location is a bit removed from the business of Seaport, so probably doesn't get as much traffic as other restaurants in the area. As far as the espresso martini goes- If I was given it without having been told it was hazelnut infused, I wouldn't be able to tell. It just tastes like a regular espresso martini, but it's decent! A bit too sweet, not super strong. And at a fair price point for seaport. I've also never been to a place that offers it on the rocks vs straight up, interesting option. The Pork Nachos were a solid choice, not too big of a portion but enough for two. The chips didn't become soaked immediately, but our main critique was that toppings weren't distributed throughout, and that there wasn't a ton of pork. The feta topping was generous though, would get these again.

Yelp
City Tap is everything you need. Massive tap list and really good food. I had the curried chicken bowl which was fabulous. The taps are obscure local/regional brewed only found here. Place was packed when I was there during Bruin playoff hockey but got a seat at the bar and bartenders were rocking but attentive. Ambience feels like a cool upscale sportsy bar with a really nice upscale bar menu. Definitely a cool place to hang if you're a beer lover.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night for dinner. It was pretty crowded but also around happy hour so it makes sense. We were able to be seated pretty quickly so it worked out okay. The food was delicious. The highlight of dinner was definitely the Nashville cauliflower. The pizza was also delicious. A total hit overall!!

Yelp
Great spot if you're looking for a casual lunch spot in the area. I got the caesar salad with salad (extra $$). The salad was crunchy and refreshing and salmon was well cooked. Space is large and service was good.

Yelp
The City Tap House is near the Seaport area and has a great selection of beer and burbon. The Street Corn was one of the best corn salsa that I've ever had. The wings were spot on as well. As an entree, I had the Poke bowl and it did not disappoint. Oh, and they also have a great beer selection.

Yelp
Cute place and the service was great. Had the Nashville cauliflower and it was incredible. I ordered the meatloaf burger and it was not for me. The mustard they served on the side was great, but I didn't care for the rest... wasn't bad, just not my favorite. The beignets were so good though!! Get those for sure!

Yelp
Yesterday was a most beautiful fall day to sit outside and have a late lunch at City Tap before a show. My husband ordered two local beers and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed them both. I had honestly the best burger I've ever had. Requested medium, and it was cooked to juicy perfection. It doesn't come with a tomato, I had to ask. So delicious. We shared dessert and got the chocolate ganache tart with raspberry. Again, one of the best things I've ever had the pleasure of eating. So rich and chocolatey. Simon was our waiter and he was super nice and just the right amount of attentive. Everything about our meal was just fantastic.

Yelp
Located in the seaport area, this is a great casual place to share a meal or have drinks with large groups. Fairly broad range of menu items from salads to burgers, poke bowls to tuna tacos- there's bound to be something for everyone. Food is good too- beef burgers are hefty and juicy. Tuna taco app was daintier but delicious, and the roasted Brussels sprouts are my favorite. Service is quick and efficient.

Yelp
When we walked in and the Grinch was in the house for Saturday brunch, I knew we were in for...something. When I ordered a mimosa and it was in a big glass (yay) full of ice (nay), I wondered what we got ourselves into. I will say, if you have kids and/or you're with a group that's ready to brunch hard and listen to DJ music at a louder than conversational volume without worrying how long it takes to get food or a drink for brunch, this is your spot. The DJ WAS playing good music. Yes, that's a little odd both of those party types were appropriate, and maybe it was due to the grinch's appearance but it was interesting to say the least. To be fair, when I asked, they did provide the next mimosa in a big glass without ice and the wait staff was perfectly nice, just not in too much of a hurry. Definitely a busy spot, and seemingly enjoyable to most of the folks there (it was nearly full inside by the time we left), just not really what we were looking for at that hour of the morning when we showed up to visit and have a drink with our friends.

Miranda G.

Yelp
Had a good time here and wasn't too busy considering it was a Friday night. The food was good, but quite pricey. We also had a couple of drinks that were all really good. Our server was also amazing and super attentive the entire time. I would definitely come back for their drinks! They also had a DJ setting up on Friday nights.

Yelp
Fun spot in the Seaport district if you don't feel like dressing up!! Fish and chips are quality, and the chicken sandwich is great!! Service was good, and the trivia night was fun!!

Yelp
Just arrived into Boston and thought to check out City Tap House, a place of many, many brews. Come for the beer & spirits, but do not expect too much with appetizers. The pizza was barely warm and soggy. The nachos with pulled pork tasted great but better if they were hot. Again, barely warm. Soggy. We left the left overs. Disappointing. The server was nice but I found her texting, which may account why our food was soggy... the food likely sat in the pass-through window until she finished.

Mara A.

Yelp
This was a very unimpressive experience and we will not go back. The food was fine, at best, and the French fries were cold. We would have told our server but neither he nor anyone else ever came back to our table. Our server took our order and didn't return until we hailed him for the check. Additionally, our food took approximately 30 minutes to arrive - the restaurant did not seem busy enough for a delay of that length.

Yelp
I stumbled across City Tap House during a recent visit to Boston. I was on the hunt for a place that had a basic enough menu because I wanted a burger or something that simple. I visited a little before what I assume is their lunch rush so the restaurant wasn't that busy. The inside of the restaurant is massive and can easily accommodate a variety of party sizes. They have a ton of booths so that is a plus to me. My party was quickly seated and the hostess was friendly. The service once my party was seated was extremely slow for the restaurant not to be packed but our waitress was really friendly. Once the order was placed I barely saw the waitress to the point that we had to visit the hostess to trigger the check coming to the table. I ended up ordering the pork nachos and it must be an art to make something that is so simple flavorless. I kid you not the pork didn't taste like anything and the creamy cheese was not tasty. I normally love nachos because they are simple but I couldn't even finish a quarter of the dish. I ended up going to Shake Shack after my visit because I was still hungry. I was disappointed with my visit and it felt like a waste of hungry especially since the nachos are above $16. They do have a nice beer menu if you are looking for a place to grab a drink but not really eat.

Yelp
I've been back quite a few times and the food is not what it used to be. On my last visit we had the corn dip & gluten free pizza. Both were oily and we wouldn't order either item again. The patio is still great and I'm looking forward to coming by this summer!

T A.

Yelp
I did not come here for drinks but for dinner with a group of friends. The food was merely passable and forgettable. The salad I ordered was expensive and looked old and pale, like they used iceberg. I would not come again .

Dan H.

Yelp
Kieth and Shelby did a great job seating our party of 7 on a saturday night with no notice. Food was great and there were plenty of beers on tap

Yelp
The best part about this place was the food! Everything was super tasty and it came out super fast. However... the server we had wasn't great and a mouse ran over my husband's foot while we were eating :( There's construction going on right across the street and we were told management is trying to solve the problem, however we wished we knew about the problem BEFORE we came in! Had to leave mid meal.

Natalie D.

Yelp
Drinks were amazing. Such a cool spot to chill!! Every employee was so kind, warm and welcoming. I throughly enjoyed my time here and will be back!!! Thank you City Tap House

Yelp
On vacations we needed some lunch after landing , and this popped up as a nearby option. I expected some standard bar food and was surprised with some amazing options. We started off with some Nashville hot cauliflower which had the perfect level of heat on them. For my main meal I had the spicy shrimp tacos. They were filling, and the pineapple glaze was a great compliment to the spice on the shrimp. The shells were both soft and crisp. The beer menu also did not disappoint. There were a lot of options but I ended up getting the Golden Monkey Belgian Triple Lastly, our server Adele was amazing. You could see she was busy during lunch hour, but was on top of beverages, checking in on us and had a fantastic personality.

Yelp
We had a delicious late dinner! Busy and noisy environment - so not a place for a quiet sit down meal. Definitely a place for GREAT food, GREAT service, good social times and a lot of loud conversations!

Judith N.

Yelp
Food was awful! Got the Guinness beef dip on the waitress's recommendation upon inquiring about it. It was a school cafeteria style French roll, flavorless shaved steak which couldn't be improved by the soggy caramelized onions or side of teriyaki tasting dip. Had two bites - and I was starving- then couldn't do more. The fries were passable. The corn dip appetizer looked like slop you feed pigs. Soupy gruel with corn floating in it. The tortilla chips were the only thing that kept me at it but, believe me, I regret it today. Been popping tums like candy! Asked the waitress if there were any non alcohol mixed drinks. After having to repeat two times that I didn't mean beer or wine, she pointed to the cocktail menu and said anything could be made non/alchoholic. When she came back, I wanted to confirm that an espresso martini could be non alcoholic. Yes, she says, just a little Baileys in it. Ok. Pass. It's a cozy festive place - love the outdoor fireplace - but the food is overpriced and extremely underwhelming.

Yelp
I can definitely see myself returning here. This place has a wide variety of beers on tap and an extensive adult beverage list. While I didn't drink, I look forward to returning and taking on some beer at the bar. We popping in here for date night dinner before a concert close by. The atmosphere was great as well as the service. Our server disappeared for a bit, but it made sense because the place began to get packed. Highly suggest reservations to secure your table. The food was good. We enjoyed dishes from the appetizer section. The cauliflower was great! Good crunch and great spice. Highly recommend. The mussels were good, fries are always on point. I was a bit disappointed by the crab and corn hush puppies, I expected more flavor and it seems like they relied on the sauce for flavor rather than infusing it into the batter. Looking forward to trying some new items, especially dessert.

Yelp
Pretty good brunch! The service was fast and friendly, and the outdoor seating had ample shade! I enjoyed the breakfast quesadilla but felt like it could have benefited from a side of home fries for a little something extra. The shrimp and grits had excellent flavor but unfortunately the eggs were overcooked, more of an over hard than an over easy.

Michael H.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was non existent. Came at 3 and they had tables but said "we aren't accepting walk is for another 1-2 hours. Soo i made a reservation online for a 1/2 hour from when we got there. Got our food from kitchen staff then I needed mayo for my fries(Europe style) but waitress never came back to check on us till we were almost done. Overpriced, no committed service. Loud but food is ok

Yelp
First, this place is an awesome little tap house. Ample indoor and outdoor seating, a ton of good brews on tap, and a really trendy atmosphere. Exposed duct work for that industrial vibe we all know and love. Street parking seemed a bit challenging but I also don't know the area, so I went with the Stillings Parking garage around the corner which was super convenient. Food: The Nashville Hot Cauliflower - fantastic. The size of the cauliflower and overall portion make it a great value. The house sauce and perfect cooked texture are *chef kiss* as the kids say. Nice zing so you know there's heat but not too much although all palates are differen Spicy Shrimp Tacos - delicious! I wasn't in a rice and beans mood so swapped for their house fries which had a nice crisp and beautiful seasoning. The tacos were a perfect blend of sweet with a bit of heat. The pineapple came out ever so slight which helped make the taste really refreshing and the shrimp was well seasoned and the right size. Pricing: Most of the key menu items fall between $12-17 which is a great value for the quality. Adele was our server (hope I spelled correct) and was amazing!!!! She was so friendly and upbeat. I hope all my encounters on this first trip to Boston are as pleasant as hers!

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a colleague ( place was packed ). Classic sports bar Boston style with plenty of beers on tap - very lively . I ordered the burger with fries and my colleague the salmon. Service was pretty good . Unfortunately , my burger arrived cold and the fries a bit soggy but my guest raved about his Salmon . If my burger was hot , it would have been good but seemed like it was sitting for a while . Maybe next time ....

Yelp
Nice spacious indoor and outdoor seating. They said they are fully booked on a Saturday evening but there were some empty seatings outdoor when we walked in so worth a shot to RSVP in person. We didn't have to wait long, so that was nice. The food was okay, typical pub food, pizza, nachos etc, service was great.

Jen B.

Yelp
Food is just okay. It's super busy and that's likely for the beer scene. The food isn't anything to seek this place out for. Do not recommend the pizza

Kevin C.

Yelp
Keithe was fantastic. He was great. H was very attentive and spot on with his suggestions. Food was wonderful and quick.

Yelp
Came in here with a friend this weekend for a late lunch. We sat at a table outside since the weather was nice. There was a wait of about 10-15 mins for us to get a table. The place has a great beer selection and I loved how their menu has descriptions for each tap. We ordered the arancini for an appetizer to share. For my meal I ordered the chopped salad with steak medium rare. Unfortunately the steak came out cooked well done and was difficult to eat. The waitress was able to remove this from the bill since it was a $9 up charge to add the steak in the first place. The salad itself was a bit of an odd mix of flavors. Overall this place may be better for happy hour beers and apps.

Martin P.

Yelp
Thank you for the great hospitalit. Keith was fantastic with the service and the thought of the customer. Keith and Sam made sure that every customer was served. we had a group of about 200 and everything turned out perfectly. I appreciate the help from Erika and the team at CityTap for a great event. The event was great and the food was exceptional. i appreciate the hospitality and all the staff that helped with the event. I would recommend City Tap to anyone that needs a great local happy hour for their firm.

Yelp
Fun, casual, ambiance in the evening to meet up with friends or co workers. Extensive beer menu for beer lovers. Food is great - highly recommend the pizza, and cauliflower wings! Weekends can get packed. We went on a Friday around 6:30pm and they weren't taking any more seating or reservations. We were able to grab two seats at the bar, as a couple was leaving. The bar was very loud and difficult to have a conversation, but we were starving so ended up eating there. Highly recommend this place for a social meet up. They have fun board games and cards at the bar as well. For sit down on weekends, be sure to arrive early to get a table.
google avatar

Davetta K.

Yelp
All the food was delightful. However, I think the fries are baked and that's just not my forte. Those corn and crab cake hush puppies are to die for
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
This place had a nice vibe to it. I believe there was some sort of reunion or function occurring while I dined in so it was probably more packed than normal. My pizza and my wife's dish were both very good.
google avatar

Marissa R.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and both times were very pleasant! The first was for dinner-- we ordered a few appetizers + our dishes + drinks, and everything was yummy (except for a seasonal cocktail that wasn't our favorite). We came for brunch recently and had an equally good experience (dare I say better, since it wasn't as crowded for brunch as it was for dinner). The pecan french toast was sweet & comforting on a chilly December morning, and everyone else devoured their meals. My only complaint was that almost all of the brunch selections came with meat, and they did not allow substitutions. I am vegetarian (luckily the french toast was a non-meat option), but my friend is Jewish (doesn't eat pork) and every other choice came with ham/bacon, so she opted for a salad. I would recommend making a reservation, as we noticed there was a wait when we were leaving and the tables filled up quickly.

Yelp
Food: Absolutely blown away by the menu of this unassuming sports bar. I rarely come to sports bars expecting there to be great food options but my partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the variety the menu had to offer. Our personal favorite was the brussel sprouts, which was garnished with pomegranate seeds - something we had both never seen with brussel sprouts before! I also would come back again for the GOAT pizza. It was the most uniquely flavored pizza I've ever had in my life - the pesto and truffle honey combo was so oily but so sweet and savory! Drinks and wine menu was surprisingly good as well. - Brussel Sprouts - Greens and Grains Salad - GOAT Pizza Ambiance/Service: We came in sometime in the afternoon during the USA vs UK FIFA game so it was super packed near the bar area. To get a seat facing the TVs, we had to opt for any available table in the bar area. Luckily we only waited around 15 min before a couple left their table for us to snag it. Hostess at the front kiosk was super accommodating and kind! Our waiter was also very helpful and brought out everything to our table quickly. Would for sure come back again.

Yelp
Food I got: - Tandoori Chicken Kabobs ($19.95) - Delhi Chicken Bowl ($16.85) - East Side Poke Bowl ($18.50) Went to City Tap to try their brunch but I forgot it was a friday but I got the tandoori chicken kabob which came with a big portion of chicken (that was pretty well cooked) and really creamy hummus. The tabbouleh salad was just marinated quinoa but the toppings were good. The pita bread had potential but was very undercooked that some parts were just dough. The delhi chicken bowl was good! I liked the curried farro salad. The east side poke bowl was good but Id just go to a regular poke place considering the price. I like the ambiance for a happy hour with friends or coworkers and I need to come back to try their brunch menu since ive heard good things! Service was pretty slow and it was difficult to get our servers attention : 6/10

Yelp
Good place, solid service. Food was Unique. I had the shrimp and grits that has collard greens in it. A unique taste, but it works. Staff is great. Try them!
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Our server was great with us, but we could tell how much she was running around and stressed at other tables. My friend has been here a few times and said it's chronically understaffed. We started with the pretzels which were fluffy and good, but the mustard was too sweet for me, and the pimento cheese didn't have the pimento kick. I had the Nashville cauliflower which was good, but still not hot enough. Huge beer list so you'll be able to find what you want.
google avatar

Yelp
Bad service and very mediocre food. I'd find someplace else to eat if I was you. I definitely won't be back.

Yelp
The whole Seaport area can feel a bit overpriced and stuffy, but City Tap House is a solid spot for a casual beer and hearty food without breaking the bank. The food is pretty standard and doesn't wow me, but there's lots of seating, plenty of variety on the menu, and it's a good time. Came here for dinner a little while back with a friend and we were super hungry and ordered a bunch of dishes to share: -Greens & Grains Salad: solid amount of greens with good flavor! A bit overdressed but did the trick -Charred Brussels Sprouts: these were a bit too oily and fried for me, but my friend really liked them! -Korean Short Rib Tacos: these were fine. Not amazing, but super hearty with the right flavors -Classic Margherita Pizza: solid and tasty! Personally would've loved a little more sauce, but was pretty traditional -Oreo Cheesecake: why is this called an oreo cheesecake? Failed to see where the cheesecake portion was. Felt more like a chocolate mousse and was a letdown after our server talked it up and convinced us to get it instead of the Brownie Sundae. We weren't into it Service was friendly, the food was perfectly paced out, and prices were decent. Not a place I'm going to dream about, but is an easy option for something casual in Seaport.

Yelp
Great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere! Keithe's service was above and beyond and we can't wait to come back! Definitely don't skip the elote corn dip.
