Stopped in on a Saturday night and it wasn’t busy. I ordered the Snack Pack 4 tender/fries with a sauce of choice. I got the hot honey sauce and it comes on the side. The gentleman taking my order was very nice great customer service. The inside of the restaurant was bit messy with wrappers on the floor and the bathroom was a bit messy and the toilet not clean. The food was up quick which was great. These tenders WOOOOOW!!!! These are some of the best tenders I have ever eaten in my LIFE!! So juicy and moist AMAZING!! The fries weren’t good very dry no salt and didn’t taste made fresh. Absolutely worth the trip ask for your fries fresh and I’m sure it will be 10/10. Will take this over Chick Fil A any day. I’ll be back for sure!

My friends and I found this spot. The sit was a little long, but we were a big group. When the food came, it was delicious. Food was hot, seasoned well. Fries were decent. Portion were okay for the price. The service was incredible. Our cashier/waiter was so kind and patient and attentive to our needs.

My experience wad a 10/10! It was me and my boyfriend’s first time coming to try this place out, the cashier was super friendly and food came out at a decent pace! Their lemonade was perfect, and I was so happy to try their different sauces. We loved that the fries were thin and that it was seasoned. Took a picture of the inside of the tender because !!! that is real chicken guys. The chicken’s breading is so so good. Spicy Chicken Sandwich was spicy but the good spicy where it makes you want another bite. After our experience my boyfriend has gone on his own once and told me that they forgot his sauces! Not uncommon for fast-food spots, next time we will make sure to double check the bag before going back! Everyone makes mistakes 👍

I ordered from Uber eats since this is near on the place that we had our summer picnic. Its for mostly the kids so I had it all plain. I was so disappointed to see it in person, these were not chicken tenders! These are bite size, look how small it is in comparison to my fingers. You can eat it in two bites. Nothing like photos advertised in their menu. Not worth the price at all. It said mega box but its nothing like it. Also, there were more fries, its so frustrating. Will not order here again

These must of been some of the best tenders we have ever had. They were cooked perfect with fantastic seasoning. The sauces were top notch and so damn good. Even the fries were fire. I would definitely recommend and hope one comes to my town.

I got the tenders, fries and slaw - everything was delicious. Things to improve on: 1. the vents on the take out boxes were not fully popped on my box so it made the tender breading less crispy. 2. The little box of sauce is small that comes with each tender box. Either fill the sauce box to the brim or give people another box of sauce. Mine only lasted for a couple dips. 3. This place could be elite if it switched to beef tallow. Seed oil police like me would appreciate it.

I ordered the 4 tenders Snack Pack, but instead I got 9 small overcooked, hard and tough chicken tenders. These were so hard to chew that I threw them out. I do not recommend.

City Bird Tenders truly delivers a five-star experience! From the moment you receive your order, it's clear they treat their food presentation and seasoning the food with the utmost care. The perfectly cooked and seasoned tenders & fries come in a luxurious white box that holds the food. The chicken tenders are breaded to perfection, they have a house sauce, along with a variety of other dipping sauces, that adds a delightful touch. The highlight of my visit was the WATERMELON SWEET TEA. It's to die for! I had never tried it before, and now I'm absolutely hooked. The service was impeccable, with cute cashiers and attentive staff who clearly know their craft—it's evident the cook or chef went to school. They even brought my to-go order directly to me. I definitely recommend City Bird Tenders for an exceptional and delicious experience! Ps. Try the hot honey and city sauce (Mixed together) and thank me later 😌😌😌

2 things, I wish the fries weren't so salty and the chicken tenders were a tad bit larger.

Solid fried chicken spot in the West Loop. I ordered takeout online during peak dinner time and it was ready within 10 minutes. When I walked in, the workers didn't seem particularly friendly but just passed me my bag and I was on my way. I noticed the inside was pretty clean and there were plenty of tables open to dine in. Others had posted (and I saw pictures) of the tenders being on the small side so I went with the medium pack, which came with 6 tenders, 1 sauce, and fries (~$15 with tax). 6 tenders sounds like a lot but I would say 2 of these tenders equals 1 tender size most are used to. A little on the pricey side, but I felt like the whole meal was made fresh and tasted like quality ingredients were used. Can't knock them too much about the fries because fries generally don't do well for carry out, but I liked the parm and seasoning. And I really liked the city sauce! Just wish they threw in a drink to complete their pack. Still a very good option for fast casual/fried chicken in the area.

The quality of the food was fresh. My big gripe is that the breading on the tenders was WAY, WAY TOO SALTY!!! I scraped of as much breading as I could to be able to consume them.

Citybird is a great spot for chicken tenders! All their sauces are delicious and the tenders have a flavorful coating. After trying all their items, my favorite is surprisingly the salad with 3 tenders on the side! The salad has a ton of different high quality ingredients. I like getting the citybird vinaigrette but lemon thyme ranch is also amazing. The fries are really good and such a great deal for the amount they give. The bathroom is always clean. There's street parking along Halsted that you may have to pay for, except for holidays and Sundays. Definitely an underrated, affordable and delicious restaurant and West Loop. Service is great too, if you dine in they bring the food on nice plates to your table.

I loved citybird when I tried it the chicken was so good fries even better and I loved the amount of sauces they had!

Super yummy chicken strips with the right amount of flavoring. Tender and flavorful and the fries were great too. A little pricey but the fry portions are huge for a combo! Liked the ranch, honey mustard and bbq sauces too. Our friend likes the hot honey as well. Great late evening or night spot, but parallel on street parking might make it a tough spot to grab and go.

Been wanting to check out this place for awhile and finally got around to it! I ordered pick up, it was ready within 5 minutes. The chicken strips are small but sooooo delicious. Cooked perfectly and the city sauce was the perfect addition. Kind of like a canes sauce. The fries were a little soggy but I like how they had seasoning and parm. Would get these tenders again!

Came here because I was walking past it and I was craving fries. The fries were good, nicely seasoned and crispy. It is on the saltier side but I enjoyed them.

Absolutely love this place. Perfectly seasoned chicken, dipping coleslaw, and a mountain of fries at a decent price gets me to come back every time it crosses my mind. The staff is amazing super nice and easy going. It's a clean and quaint place, but for a quick bite to eat, that's all it really needs to be.

CityBird is my new go-to for fresh, tasty chicken with commendable service. The location is clean. The food is great, and Emmanuel and his staff give top notch service. Thank you for providing a great experience.

Solid fast food spot in the West Loop on Halsted. I stopped in here a few times for lunch and have never been disappointed. I've ordered the Buffalo Bleu chicken tender sandwich, very good and filling along with the fries and drink. Staff is friendly but space is limited for seating so it may be a good spot to take out. I'll be back

Solid chicken take out spot. It's a tad pricey but the chicken still has pretty good flavor. I got the city bird sandswich and a small tender meal. The shoestring type fries were good, dipped in seasoning, salt, and parmesan cheese. The tenders were very small so maybe get the size up if you're hungry. The sandwich had a lot of slaw so if you're not up for the beware

Well what I thought was going to be a quick run for lunch turned into a 20 min wait. Yes it was lunch time but 20 min is too long and then your order is missing something. I ordered the 6 tender meal that comes with fries and a 1/2 salad. Easy enough right? Wrong! Don't get me wrong, the two people working were doing the best they could. After that long wait, I get back to my office only to find I had no fries in my box. Well too late to go back so now I just have to do without. I'm very disappointed.

Always room for another bird shop, nice set up, I like the way this modern store sits along Halsted, cool design, seems practical. I had the Spicy Chicken sandwich, lovely sandwich, a little too spicy for me, will go with the milder CityBird next time. Along with the sandwich the French Fries were also a hit. I would describe the French Fries as unique, nice change, somehow crisp although lightly fried. Some Parmesan involved, which I typically don't care for, but I could not stop eating these French Fries, interesting seasoning! Enjoyed the Lemonade. If you're craving perfectly crisped chicken tenders in between warm fluffy buns, this is the place to go! I got the spicy chicken sandwich, which contains a spicy mayo sauce on the chicken tenders, with a great ratio of crunchy cabbage sandwiched between the buns! Perfect level of heat, and it's so nice to have the amount of cabbage balance out the fried chicken and carbs. I got a side salad (half salad) with the sandwich and wow! They really put a lot of effort into crafting this salad (and salad-making is an art, especially getting the ratios and textures just right). The greens are cut into small segments, and there is a generous serving of nuts and raisins and seeds, which make each bite of this salad full of variety, textures, and flavors. I got it with the vinaigrette which was a nice light dressing. This size is the half size but it was a pretty generous portion! Love that they have a salad option, for those who don't want too many carbs to fill them up. But if you do want all the delicious carbs, their fries are so delicious as well so you can't go wrong! Staff are so friendly and attentive! Space is clean and neat, and the music is a vibe! Definitely recommend for anyone in the west loop area. Prices are great for being in west loop too!

I got the snack 4 tender basket. I'm used to Raising Canes 3 chicken being enough. I should have gone with the medium basket the chicken strips were on the smaller size but they were tasty. The sweet peach tea was also great. And the girl working the counter tonight was very kind. The lobby was clean and not crowded but we also came in at 8:30 pm.

Very clean place fairly new server was very friendly and informative on the menu and sauces. first time here but have had many different types of tenders and sandwiches guess there everywhere now So got the six tender meal with the City sauce and it came out fairly quickly and everything looked good. Tenders were cooked perfectly and had a good crunch to them and flavor was mild by itself had a few with the City sauce but wasn't doing it for me but the ketchup helped with the flavor and texture . The Parmesan cheese fries I wasn't a big fan of the fries they were crispy but just wasn't doing it for me I'll be back to try something different as the chicken was good and close by

5/5 Service was amazing - I went for takeout when it was pretty empty and the staff was super communicative about when my food would be ready and even offered me fries on the house. I was expecting a pretty standard chicken sando and fries but this was way better - the slaw was super fresh (crunchy instead of soggy) and the sandwich was loaded with sauce and flavor (so fine let it sit otherwise it'll get soggy). The breading was still very flavorful and crunchy when I ate it while other sandos even fresh the breading disintegrates with barely the presence of moisture. *Not to mention* the chicken itself was crazy juicy - tried to capture the sheeeen of the juice in the third pic - it was practically dripping. TBH on-par if not better than Parsons (sorrynotsorry). Fries were also really great - clearly high quality and really well seasoned with garlic and Parmesan - definitely a step up from what I expected from a fast casual place. Finally, price 5/5 - this sando is extremely high quality and about the same price point as Chick-fil-A - aka significantly cheaper than most quality fried chicken sandos in Chicago. 10/10 would recommend & definitely will be back

The chicken fingers here are good, but a bit small for the price in my opinion. The batter coating, although nicely seasoned, easily fell off the chicken. This shouldn't happen in a place that specializes in fried chicken. It is easily solved with a small recipe change. The fries were hot a decent. I may go back....who knows....no rush.

The chicken tenders and sandwich we ordered were delicious! We got the city sauce with the tenders and the spicy sauce with the sandwich, both were even better than we expected. I think they're a little short staffed, since it took several minutes before someone appeared at the cash register to take my order. They were kind enough to walk my takeout order all the way out to me when it was ready, though!

Prompt, food was very mid, they sent me the wrong sauce, I might try it again just because it's convenient, but I'm not dreaming about it.

Used to eat here all the time when I lived in Cincinnati, and I'm so excited they've now opened a Chicago location pretty close to me. The best item on the menu is the spicy chicken sandwich (spicy, but not too spicy), but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu

This is the eighth location in the U.S. and the first location here. This is by the Thunderdome Restaurant Group. Had the Buffalo Bleu Sandwich w/ fries and Salad. Then I had Sweet Tea & Lemonade mix. Items are under twelve dollars. Everything was superb. Ohh! The playlist for the music is great!

A great quick takeout place for us. (The seating is available). My go-to menu is the city salad with chicken tenders. It has a generous amount of chopped salad with kale and cabbage. I love the green dressing and raising. It makes a good meal.

best chicken tenders I've ever had and I mean this literally. tenders are a tad but small but the heaping serving of fries topped with parmesan makes up for this and the assortment of sauces are amazing... i recommend the truffle sauce and the honey mustard

Warning - If you want to avoid high blood pressure and diabetes DO NOT EAT HERE! We all ordered chicken sandwiches; 2 spicy, 1 regular. All three of them were horrible! The sandwiches were extremely salty, smothered in sauce and overly stacked with slaw. No one wants a dry sandwich but this was nauseatingly juicy! There was no kind of cohesiveness with the flavors, just spice, salt, weird sauce and more salt! The fries looked deceivingly tasty but nope, even they were too salty! Also, there was no relief from our drinks. We ordered two watermelon teas and the lemonade, they were both cloyingly sweet! Long story short none of us could finish our meals. And considering the sophomoric and unfazed staff, we realized it wasn't worth complaining or asking for a refund. That clearly would have been a waste of time, so we took the "L." The place was much smaller than expected but it was clean and new. If I can say one good thing about this place, I'll give them credit for the music. That's it! I won't be back!

Great service! I always go here when I am in Cincinnati so I'm happy we have one here in the city! I stopped in on a late Saturday Night right before they closed and the service was still top notch! Sandwich was fresh and I am so happy that they are as good as when back in Ohio!

Service is always AMAZING! Can't say enough good things about the staff- super helpful and polite. The menu is small but everything is very tasty- great depth of flavor and the fries are great too. Nice spot for a quick lunch or dinner. And clean inside. Highly recommend!

This place was really good and freshly cooked. Not too expensive, me and my girlfriend visited after attending soul city church down the street. This place is a great location, next to everything. Try it out with the different sauces!

CityBird is new to the neighborhood and the friendly service and great value food will definitely make it a staple. The staff were so friendly while i was ordering and they were efficient. I tried the buffalo blue sandwich with cole slaw and some of their sweet tea. The chicken sandwich was very saucy and flavorful, maybe ask for less sauce if you like a neat sandwich. Nevertheless the buffalo sauce was the perfect amount of tangy and spicy. The quality of their tenders was also great! I love the menu options and this is overall a really solid spot.

Came in here today for the first time for a quick bite and was impressed. The chicken was fresh and so were the fries. Love that they have multiple sauce options. The cashier was very friendly and gave me an extra plate to share with the child that i brought in. Definitely will be coming back

I love trying new spots. I had for lunch with a co worker last week. The chicken tenders were full of flavor but small. I tried 4 different sauces: lemon thyme ranch (meh) , buffalo sauce , city sauce (ok) and my favorite hot honey. I had the spicy oil added to my chicken tenders as well. The fries probably would of been better had I dined in. I could go back. The ambiance was average, clean and fountain drinks. It's in a good location hopefully they have great success.

Had a spicy sandwich, and it was OK. It was a small piece of chicken in it and bit too salty. I do like the sandwich with coleslaw, but relatively, you can get a better chicken sandwich with the same price.

Went here for the first time because it's down the street from my house. I was the only person there and ordered a Buffalo sandwich and fries. Sandwich had great flavor but was cold and soggy and tasted like it had been sitting there since the place opened. Fries - same story. Tasted stale. Again, I was the only person there so it's not like they were busy. I would actually rate this 1 or 2 stars but it's a new business and I don't want to ruin their ratings.

10/10 would recommend. Seriously, everything we ate was amazing out of our entire group of 5. The service was exceptional as well. Great music too!

I was excruciatingly hungover today and City Bird gave me life. The tenders were perfect, the fries were great, and they have the pebble ice for the three diet cokes I consumed. Also friendly staff and a clean restaurant.

was excited to try this place, big it was a frustrating and underwhelming experience. - tenders are tasty but definitely on the small side for price - i asked for slaw for my side but was given fries, the cashier kinda just looked at me when i pointed it out but he just never corrected it. it was odd - the brewed unsweetened tea was so watery it had to be made incorrectly, i'll swear by it - they were out of city sauce which is their signature sauce

The reason for the one star I cannot understand five stars for this place) is that this place, either franchised or from an out-of-town (Cincinnati) corporation, is not TRYING. Who do they think they are? Especially teasing the Greektown neighborhood where we need places like this. Filling up one of those vacant storefronts is nice, but corporate chains that can afford the high rents are seemingly all we see, and not for long. But the employees were fine, nothing to report there. You would think that by basing its business model on TWO items--chicken tenders and french fries--they would be the best tenders and fries (really, no fresh-cut fires?) in town.The Price : Quality Tried it for the first time yesterday, takeout. The only "variety" they have is different toppings for sandwiches and salads. But salads are pricey too. I know, french fries don't travel well; I figured I'd revive them in the oven and was relatively successful. I tried the soggy fries when I got home and they weirdly had very little flavor, not garlic parmesan or potato flavor. Now, the tenders: NO, NO, NO NO and NO. I know an iconic Italian and pizza parlor that has chicken tenders on their menu as an afterthought for the kiddies (They really hit the spot, or two spots) and they're three times bigger with better, albeit standard, sauces. I think my CityBird was spicy, I didn't ask for plain, but they weren't that hot. As for the City Sauce: It's the ketchup/mustard combo I whip up at home, with City having three grains of pepper and 1.5 drops of vinegar. But I can't believe how small the tenders are; why don't they have two or three different sizes of tenders? Extra crispy? Why not wings? Why not regular fried chicken, like Harold's, even justvtwice a week?? Why not more sides, like potato salad, good onion rings, mac and cheese? But the astounding deal-breaker here is the tenders, the basis of the business!! There is a dearth of fried chicken joints in the West Loop, except for that one "Randolph Street" place that is too expensive, iffy reviews, and doesn't deliver. I don't know if the tenders were ever crispy, but they did not re-crisp in the oven. I made my own sandwich. CityBird Key Word: Disappointment. P.S. Why do these hoity toity chefs think the entire country wants hot Nashville chicken? It's too hot and you can't taste the chicken. Maybe the younger generation likes the spicy, i.e. Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Chefs to "introduce" it in Chicago? They're just stealin' it from Nashville.

Stopped by this place for the first time. I let Pam know and she was SO helpful. She has great customer service and made this a great experience. I may come here during my lunch break everyday because of Pam. 10/10.

I came here with high hopes and as it is a cute little restaurant I was not a big fan of the tenders. They also don't have salt which I found very strange. I was expecting the tenders to be big but they were quiet tiny. They had a very good seasoning/spice on the tenders and frys that I did enjoy.

First time here at City Bird. Visiting from SoCal. Food was hot and fresh! Very friendly customer service and place was neat and clean. Will be back next time we are here!!
