I had such a beautiful experience at Ciudad Bonita, it felt like a little piece of Colombia. The food was incredible, full of rich, authentic flavors that reminded me of home cooking. The drinks were just as impressive and creative, refreshing, and unlike anything I’ve tried before. You can tell they put real intention into every flavor combination. Our server, Daniel, was amazing. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, and his warmth really stood out. You could tell he cared, not just about the service, but about creating a meaningful experience. And the live band? That brought it all together. The music, the energy, the food, the people — it all felt so alive and genuine. I left with a full belly and full of good energy. If you’re looking for somewhere that captures the true Colombian spirit, this is it!!

Finally — a great breakfast spot in Park Circle! And the fact that it’s an authentic Colombian place makes it even better. The food is super fresh and full of flavor. The service was awesome, and we loved the outdoor seating — perfect for bringing our pup along on our morning walk. Definitely five stars. Can’t wait to come back and try more, especially for Sunday breakfast!

Google
Empanadas and drink were delicious, and my burger was beyond amazing. Caution regarding the steaks: they only offer medium and well done, so you may want to order something else if you like medium rare/rare. Service was great until it got busier, and then they seemed understaffed. Will definitely go back.

Laura was an amazing server! She took very good care of us and made us feel super welcomed. Explain the menu to us super well knew what we wanted right away. Food and drinks were to die for!!

Google
SO DELICIOUS! We ordered the chicharrones which also came with potato balls smothered in mozzarella and some other sauce. I will def be ordering that again. For main I have the Colombianita (chicken stuffed arepa) and it was the best entree I’ve had in a really long time. Perfectly creamy with a hint of sweet which works perfectly with the corn arepa. Any of the Arepa Bonitas will be an excellence choice. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
Great if you’re looking for a unique take on Colombian. The tres leches cake was good, nothing special. The arroz con leche was very aromatic and flavorful. The chicharróna was almost too stuffed, to the point where the arepa was almost falling apart. I like how the fried yucca was not too dry.

Anthony keeps us coming back for bomb cocktails, even when we’ve already eaten. You can get tart, sweet, fresh, citrus, anything that suits your fancy. Unsure? Ask him! He won’t steer you wrong!

Google
Just found an amazing Colombian spot in Park Circle that you absolutely need to check out! The food is incredible, the bars are top-notch, and it's the perfect place to watch fútbol—or soccer, if that's your style. What makes it even better? Silvia behind the bar. She's got great energy and knows how to make you feel right at home. Whether you're here for the game, the vibe, or just to try something new, this spot has it all. Trust me, it's worth the visit.

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks, and service! Alejandra was so sweet and helpful! The Breakfast Bonito was delicious - the cream cheese guava paste went really well with the pandebono. The Fresco y Borracho drink was super refreshing.

Yelp
Not only was our server, Laura, very hospitable, but she made sure we were well taken care of and gave us a piece of Columbia. She explained the cuisine and how it was a piece of home for her and on our very first visit, it is now a piece of home for us. The place was packed with amazing colors, smells, and sounds. Even with how busy it was, she made time to make us feel welcome and like family. Ciudad Bonita, forever!!

Yelp
I went here for the drag brunch during Pride and it was super cute and colorful. We were seated and helped right away. They had an eclectic drink menu but the food menu was a bit lacking in my opinion. The empanadas were good but pretty pricey for 3 small ones($15). I would prob come back for drinks!

Yelp
Ciudad Bonita is truly Bonita! The dining room's vivid colors bring the needed life to stand apart as a gem in Park Circle. Whether swinging by for a snack or staying to watch the big football (soccer) game, you'll have a blast. One of the few spots in town always streaming the overseas football games. The friendly service, festive drinks, and empanadas will keep you coming back.

Yelp
If you're looking for great South American food then you need to check out this place. We have been in twice and enjoyed the food and service both times. The staff were attentive, friendly and ready to help if there were menu questions. We love the colorful atmosphere and felt very comfortable. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
My local B2B networking group has an in-person leadership meeting monthly. We always want to support local, and since our meetings are weekly on Monday's, there are a lot of local spots closed. But not Ciudad Bonita! With an 11:30 meeting time we got sat right away. Our server Danny was fantastic. Everyone choose a lunch special except for me. I got the Patacones. It's a fried plantain covered with a meat, sauce, and chutney. Since you get 3 I tried all three meats, chorizo, chicken, and steak. All 3 meats were delicious and so is their house made tartara sauce. I'm not sure what the "chutney" style stuff on top was, but it was delicious too. The only thing I didn't care for and only had a couple bites of were the plantains. Mine were cold and overcooked. I love a double smashed plantain, lightly pan seared and served hot! That's what I was hoping for, but did not receive. There were 5 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. From 12 to 12:30 business really picked up and that makes me happy! NOTE our party of 5 had an automatic 18% gratuity added. They take cash and cards and the server carries a machine that allows for you to pay with them right at the table.

Yelp
Two of us came in on a Saturday for a late lunch. We were looking for more than a snack but less than a full meal because we had dinner plans coming up. We were seated towards the back at a table and there was some confusion over who was cleaning the table, vs drink orders, vs food orders but they figured it out. Although throughout our meal we didn't really know who our actual server was. We decided to share the empanadas and the Columbianita arepa that came with fries. They didn't have beef empanadas so we got two chicken and one cheese. Then we ordered a couple of the juices. Again, they only had one juice available of the ones we ordered so my friend was convinced that mango lemonade would be a good substitute for the mango juice. It was very sweet and neither of us drank it, but the passion fruit juice was good. The food was delicious, but I think it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting. The empanadas (which they didn't have one of) were $15 for 3 making them five bucks a piece. The arepa looked a little small at first but they really stuff it and we enjoyed it. But it came with a small handful of regular crinkle fries and it was $17. Then I realized the juice and lemonade with $8 and $7 respectively which is crazy. Arepas and empanadas are considered street food and I don't think they doctored them up enough to warrant that increase in price. Like I said, the food was good, but I would need to find something else on the menu before I got excited about going again.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to enjoy a cocktail without food. I doubt we wIill visit again or order food there as the restaurant did not feel clean. The menus were sticky to the point I needed to rinse my hands after handling them. Our drinks, ordered simultaneously ant the bar, arrived 10 minutes apart. The staff seemed friendly, but totally overwhelmed.

Yelp
We were visiting from the northeast and wanted to try some local places. We looked for a Latin restaurant and Ciudad Bonita popped! We gave it a try and we were very happy! The food was prepared fairly quick and it was FRESH! They do have a Latin fusion vibe. Drinks were very good. We will certainly come back. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating with helped with recommendations. The plates were a good size and shareable if you wanted!

Yelp
A new Columbian concept in Charleston and a great place for family and friends to enjoy perfectly grilled meats country style. Don't come looking for "cachapas" or "bandeja paisa," they don't have the typical Columbian menu. What they do have is a variety of specialty burgers and the amazing plate called "picada," which comes with grilled steak, chicken, sausages, blood sausage, potatoes, and more, this is a King's dish, for Queen's size you can order half size. The staff was incredibly friendly and constantly checking on us. The manager did an awesome job welcoming us and treating us like family. We had a great time and can't wait to go back to try other items on their menu.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this adorable restaurant. The vibe inside is fun and hip and service is excellent. Full bar but their speciality cocktail drinks stole the show with how delicious and strong they were. I'm normally not a fan of crinkle fries but these were very good. Absolutely devoured my pechuga (chicken) but these steak and burger were also so good. You can't go wrong with the food here! Everything is delicious!!

Yelp
Fabian is fire! The very best server ever! So kind and easy to talk to- and he gets things for you quickly! The margaritas are fire Fabian fire; empanadas fire !

Sonya G.

Yelp
The food here is good and worth the price. The restaurant is small and clean, but the smell of the place makes me think they have sewage issues. Service was also quick for lunchtime.

Yelp
This is an amazing piece of Santander Colombia. !!! This restaurant is conveniently located in the Park Circle area. The ambiance, decor, background music sets the stage for a great time as you enjoy the wonderful meals they offer. The staff is friendly and brings you the authentic Colombian experience. They do make suggestions as to what you might want to try for the first time or something you might be craving from the menu. PS: make sure you're hungry ! Portions are delicious and reasonable and will make you tummy be feel good and full. Definitely will return again to try another options from the menu. We can only eat so much !

Yelp
I have been dying to try this place! Very excited to see a place like this locally finally! Could not have been more happier with the result The inside is decorated beautifully. I love all the vibrant colors and design. We opted to sit at the bar per usual as it is just more fun for us to interact. Friendly & helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere. We were here in the evening so we got more of the neon glow but in the daytime there are skylights in the ceiling that let in natural light. THE FOOD! Fast, plentiful and definitely did not less us down. Great flavor in every bite. I am braving my lactose intolerance just to try more on the menu lol. The Crazy Fries were shared and absolutely filled both of us up. The drinks were on point as well. We will for sure be back several times just to try more off the menu!

Yelp
We went on a Sunday night to celebrate my husband's birthday. They definitely had an advantage because a lot of things are closed on Sunday night in Park Circle. The ambience was adorable. We sat right at the bar when we walked in. We recreated by the bartender who was working that night, and he seemed very busy. He gave us a lot of good tips on what to eat so we took his advice. We ordered three things, two appetizers and one entrée. It was just enough food for both of us to share. The food was honestly delicious. My husband was so excited to finally have a Colombian style restaurant around the area that was just as he remembered Columbia like. The food was tasty and perfection. It came out extremely quick and our drinks were perfect for the night as well. I would 100% go back.

Yelp
We had our Friday night date at Ciudad Bonita. We had a 6:30 reservation but we probably could have just walked in. The ambiance was festive; we really liked the colorful interior. There were a few outside tables but we chose to eat inside. Our server, Jessica, was responsive, friendly, & informative about the menu. I was disappointed that they did not have empanadas that night. We had another tasty starter, patacones. We shared the picada and it was plenty for the 2 of us. Add in a couple of cocktails and it was a great evening. A couple of things, though: I was surprised that a mainstay of the menu were burgers. I have been to Colombia but it was many years ago. The burgers surprised me, but then I remembered that they call their menu "Colombian style" food. We will go back and take friends!

Diego L.

Yelp
Waiters and staff were very nice and even gave us some Colombian candy. Place in general was very nice and the ceiling even has windows. The food was wonderful, I recommend the picahna medium well because it was very nice.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere were fabulous! Service was shotty at first but continued to get better as we made an impression. Can't wait to return and try some more items and drinks. Their espresso martini was SO good!

Yelp
First time, service was great as well as the food and the drinks. Great location in Park Circle. Loved the way the restaurant was decorated. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Very excited to see how this restaurant grows! Their early menu isn't the traditional Colombian fare that I expected, but everything we had was delicious. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and so happy to chat about the development of the restaurant. The complimentary plátanitos at the start of the meal were a great way to be greeted, just wish there had been more! The decor is beautiful and I will certainly be back.

Yelp
Fantastic ambiance with authentic Colombian food! Congrats to the owners for bringing a piece of Latin American to Charleston!

Alexa S.

Yelp
Really great environment. The restaurant is adorable and the food was fantastic. Great drinks, burgers, steaks, and sauces.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing, one of t h e best burgers I have had in my entire life. The entire staff was so incredibly kind. We unknowingly came in 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and they were still kind enough put an order in for us. The restaurant was super clean and had great ambiance. They had the football game on and music. We will 100% be back and trying all the food the waitress recommended. Do yourself a favor and go! Very fair prices as well, especially for the area.

Yelp
This place is great! Good vibes, super polite servers and an inviting bar. The food is really tasty. We had the plantain appetizer and the a delicious burger. Can't recall the names, my bad. It's totally worth the visit.

Katie S.

Yelp
We came here for lunch expecting traditional Colombian fare. We like trying new things, but this was not what we expected. In hindsight, if we had perused the menu ahead of time I don't think we would have come here. The good: The food we ordered was tasty. I got the patacones which are three fried plantain patties with a dollop of seasoned meat on top. I tried all three protein options and I liked the chorizo best. My husband got the pincho. The meat on the skewer was good. The not-so-good: Back to the pincho. This is $15 for ONE skewer and some run-of-the mill crinkle fries that clearly came out of the freezer section at some restaurant supply store. Not $15 worth of food. For lunch the menu seemed very expensive. I was underwhelmed by the Americanized options (lots of burgers and fries). Honestly I was ready to walk out after the menu was so disappointing but my husband thought it would be too rude. Also if you are just drinking water, the design on the glasses prevents wait staff from seeing your glass is empty. I could barely tell how much water I had with it right next to me. We were underwhelmed but wish them the best.

Yelp
Really beautiful little restaurant. Very minimal English spoken. The menu was surprising as we were expecting more Latin food. It is definitely beef and pork heavy.

Patrick d.

Yelp
The atmosphere is welcoming. It's almost like walking into a cantina in the rainforest. The service was average with some language barriers due to the bar staff not being proficient in English, but it was not a detractor. There were also plenty of other Spanish speakers in the restaurant. The menu featured burgers and sausages. It was not what one would assume a traditional Latin menu would be. The burger was good, filling and had a uniqueness to it, but wasn't anything to write home to. The bar has a wide range of tequila choices, with their signature drinks following a tequila base. Overall I would come again for the ambiance but would not go out of my way for the food. Offering traditional Columbian menu items I think would make this place a go to spot.

Luisa B.

Yelp
La comida es muy rica y el servicio siempre es bueno, los meseros son muy amables y el ambiente del restaurante es muy bueno, la música es buena

Matthew H.

Yelp
Food was really good, definitely go for the yellow potatoes over the fries. Service was welcoming even on a pretty hectic opening day. I really like how they renovated the space too.

Chris F.

Yelp
Was gonna restrain myself from being a Karen but Yelp asked me to share my experience so here it goes. Was having myself a nice little Saturday. Went to Home Depot. Got some flooring. A little wall paper. Decided to swing by Ciudad Bonita to see what all the hype was about. Walk into an excellent ambience and was ready to tie one on. Unfortunately that's where the pleasant experience ended. Ordered a couple $15 cocktails that were just glasses of sugar water. Then the $30 "NY Strip" I ordered came out and that's where they really lost me. You know the meat trucks that sit outside of malls with the fire sale of 20 ribeyes for $100? That's what came out burnt to crisp accompanied by a piece of lettuce and tomato aka the "side salad" and 7-8 ore ida soggy Krinkle cut fries. Can confidently say the worst sit down meal I've had in my line. Too bad. Was pretty excited about this place. Just don't get how you can't put more effort into something. Anyway, I'll shut up now. Hope they can turn it around. Godspeed
