Comedy Central Clusterfest 2019 Food and Drink Lineup - Eater SF

"The Drunk History beer garden, a spinoff the very funny Comedy Central show wherein drunk comedians explain historical events, will serve Hop Valley and Saint Archer beers, alongside food items like the 'Alexander Hamiltots,' and 'Al Capone’s Italian Sausage.'" - Ellen Fort

I love this location always something to see. Parking available. Along bus lines. Near A large park for kids and dogs or just for taking a break. Often kind of windy, wide open flat space. There is the City Hall building, Asian Museum, SF Public Library, Main Jail, A Concert Building, near the Symphony, and many many other things. There is always something going on in this location. Very busy in the daytime. Nice to see at night.

I love it at night when City Hall is lit up in different colors! Very spacious and good to get a walk in at night with your dog. From getting married at City Hall to the farmers market on Wednesdays and Sundays there are a lot more attractions here then back in the day. A spot to skateboard, play chess, ping pong, bean bag toss, fitness and right next to the main library and museum. A Childs playground and overall good place to eat lunch on your lunch break.

For a park right outside the gorgeous City Hall, it's pretty unflattering in my opinion. The majority of it is open, empty space, which includes this awkward sandy part in the middle. I feel that it is probably like this for large events, speeches, or gatherings, but that does make it a boring public space. There is not much to do but walk, the view unchanging whether you're on one side of the park or another. The park is symmetrical; where there are flagpoles on one side there are an equal number of flagpoles on the other, where there is a small playground on one side there is a near-identical one on the other... you get the idea. It is not interesting at all, there is no variety. Even though there are trees, they are isolated to these narrow strips, so the rest of the park gets no shade. Not to mention there is nowhere to sit but in the grass. Overall, if you're in search of a park or public space to visit, there are so many amazing ones out here in San Francisco. Unfortunately, Civic Center Plaza does not make that cut (for me). 3/5.

Pretty cozy plaza behind city hall. The walkway that continues down past the statues is cool as well, however you may see some suspicious individuals on drugs or homeless. That's to be expected here, though!

The good thing about going to visit here at night is all the lights. They're different every night and very bright and colorful. The only bad thing really is there is only 2 public bathrooms in walking distance, which always have an ungodly line and wait time. (If they're open.) But it's very scenic. I liked it a lot!

This square is very beautiful and clean. There are two lovely playgrounds. There’s a security guard who checks whether adults entering the playground are relatives of the children, which made me feel very safe.

Civic Center Plaza is a great spot right in downtown Walnut Creek! It’s clean, open, and very easy to access. I love that it’s close to shops, restaurants, and Civic Park, so you can relax, walk around, or grab a bite nearby. The seating areas and open-air design make it a nice place to hang out, read, or meet friends. It always feels safe and well taken care of, and you can tell the community really uses and appreciates the space. With continued upkeep, this plaza will stay a beautiful and welcoming part of Walnut Creek. A great place to enjoy the day and support the local area!
