Lovely place with kind staff. The pizzas are wood fired indiviudal pies, very yummy and creative flavors. Great menu with vegan and gluten free options. Creative drink menu. Nice atmosphere. It is very expensive tho.

I had a birthday dinner here and had an amazing time! The food is delicious, especially the pizzas. The service was excellent, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is also pleasant and relaxing. C. King & Co. is wonderful. I hope it remains a fixture in downtown Ypsi for a long time.

I really liked the restaurant's design; it reminds me of The Godfather. I thought Jack was world class very polite, respectful, kind, and overall attentive. I can tell he loves serving other people. The food was delicious; I had pepperoni with balsamic vinegar, which is a really good blend. I feel like you can order anything on the menu and it will be really good. Their desserts were even better than their main courses; the tiramisu was especially good. Also, whoever cleans the plates does a great job.

We visited on Labor Day and were very impressed. The service was excellent, the cocktails were exceptional, and the olive bread was delicious. We recently moved here and are excited to return soon!

From the moment I stepped into C. King & Co Cafe, I knew I was in for a great experience. The ambiance is nothing short of immaculate—warm, inviting, and buzzing with a vibrant yet relaxed energy. I was promptly greeted by Jack, who set the tone for an exceptional evening with his friendly and professional demeanor. Opting to sit at the bar, I was impressed by Jack’s deep knowledge of the menu. Without hesitation, he walked me through each offering with the expertise of a true connoisseur, making thoughtful recommendations and ensuring I had all the information I needed to make the perfect choice. The highlight of the evening, however, was the pizza—expertly crafted by Erica, who was working her magic in the kitchen that night. Every bite was a perfect balance of crispness and flavor, showcasing the care and skill that goes into their food. If you find yourself in the greater Ann Arbor area, C. King & Co Cafe is a must-visit. Whether you’re there for the outstanding service, the expertly prepared food, or simply the fantastic atmosphere, this spot delivers on all fronts. I’ll definitely be returning, if in the area!

Where to begin? Everything about this place was wonderful. Our waiter was kind, thorough, and attentive, making the experience even better. I ordered the “Thousand Layer” Double Baked French Toast from the brunch menu and the New Mexico Pizza from the seasonal fare menu. The French toast was perfectly warm and soft, while the pizza was light and flavorful. They also provide red pepper flakes and Parmesan on the side. There’s a great selection of specialty drinks and made-to-order desserts - saving those for next time! Prices are reasonable for the quality (see menu pics). The interior decor has its own flair, and there’s a nice outdoor area where you can bring a furry friend. Overall, an excellent experience! Zero complaints. Fun fact: this place started as a grocery store in 1838!

Jack made the best espresso martini and lime Rickey! Try the purple cauliflower meatball! Give Jack a raise he made the experience great with his excellent customer service

TL;DR: Classy, intimate venue with extensive high-quality drink selection. Atmosphere: Loved it. European cafe feel, roaring open fire pizza oven in the back, warm lighting, intimate and charming. Service: We arrived near the end of the day and ordered mostly cocktails. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in on us the perfect amount Fare: Extensive drink menu with wine, beer, and numerous cocktails. We tried several cocktails which were well mixed and alcohol forward in the best way. We also sampled a lemon tart. The curd was delicious but the crust was lacking and it was served in a wine glass which was pretty but sub-optimal.
