Where to begin? Everything about this place was wonderful. Our waiter was kind, thorough, and attentive, making the experience even better. I ordered the “Thousand Layer” Double Baked French Toast from the brunch menu and the New Mexico Pizza from the seasonal fare menu. The French toast was perfectly warm and soft, while the pizza was light and flavorful. They also provide red pepper flakes and Parmesan on the side. There’s a great selection of specialty drinks and made-to-order desserts - saving those for next time! Prices are reasonable for the quality (see menu pics). The interior decor has its own flair, and there’s a nice outdoor area where you can bring a furry friend. Overall, an excellent experience! Zero complaints. Fun fact: this place started as a grocery store in 1838!

TL;DR: Classy, intimate venue with extensive high-quality drink selection. Atmosphere: Loved it. European cafe feel, roaring open fire pizza oven in the back, warm lighting, intimate and charming. Service: We arrived near the end of the day and ordered mostly cocktails. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in on us the perfect amount Fare: Extensive drink menu with wine, beer, and numerous cocktails. We tried several cocktails which were well mixed and alcohol forward in the best way. We also sampled a lemon tart. The curd was delicious but the crust was lacking and it was served in a wine glass which was pretty but sub-optimal.

I stopped in today for the first time and had the absolute loveliest time. Autumn served me at the bar, and she was a complete sweetheart. I’ve walked by this place for years and the only thing that’s stopped me from coming in has been the price on the menu - no one’s fault, I’m just low income and have to spend wisely. I was having a bit of a date with myself today and felt it worth it to stop in for a drink and dessert, and it completely was. The tiramisu was DIVINE, and every drink I ordered was great (including the long islands, which aren’t on the menu and I’m particularly picky about). It wasn’t incredibly busy, so Autumn made some light conversation with me, and it made me feel very welcome and accepted even though the environment here is a bit high end for what I would normally feel comfortable in - it was SO nice. If you’re able to afford to stop by here, I highly recommend it. It’s right next to the free parking in Ypsi, too. The drinks and atmosphere are great, dessert is delicious, and it’ll leave you feeling like you had a wonderful day.

Friendly server, good food. 4 stars because food was undersized and over priced. Tiramisu tasted like instant jello cheesecake. I’m fine with that, but not at a high end price. May come back to try a pizza, I’ll update my review if I do.

Beautiful seating areas and nice vibe. I heard that It’s more famous for drinks and pizzas. Pizzas were good but nothing exceptional. I tried beets salad and Cesar salad and they were both mehh. Their mock-tails were good though.

Je Ne Sais Quoi - Come for the food stay for the customer service. Jake was my server, and his knowledge of the menu enhanced the experience. I ordered the White Pie and added mushrooms, Rosemary Lemon Drop and the Baked Alaska. I left with every tastebud being satisfied. Make sure to add this best kept secret Gem to your to do list when visiting!

First time in and we will definitely be back. Expect great coctails--they have a full bar. We tried the weekly specials. The arugula and roasted butternut squash salad was delightful. The potato soup was perfectly composed and the best we've had in memory. The "Bloody Mary" pizza was crispy, the toppings well balanced, and the sesame and nigella sprinkled on the crust was brilliant. We will no longer be going to Ann Arbor to get great pizza!
