Went to CJs for breakfast and was delighted to hear there was no wait. Our server was over rather quickly and we ordered everything at once because we were in a bit of a rush. This didn’t seem to save us much time but she had other tables to tend to. I ordered the poached eggs with avacado and upon first inspection they seemed fine. Everything tasted good but I realized it was just scrambled eggs with avacado on top and hollandaise sauce. This was a bit disappointing especially since the meal was above 20$. Overall, another mid hotel restaurant for double the price of a normal meal.

Google
Great experience. Expected to wait but got right in and waited on immediately. We're Claim Jumper fans so having one in the Golden Nugget was a nice surprise. It was our first time ordering breakfast at a Claim Jumper but it was fantastic; especially impressed with the scrambled eggs. They were delicious! The service was professional and on point.

Google
The food here was delicious. The service was outstanding. The restaurant is kept very clean. Despite all of the action it is a quiet place to regroup. It is close to all of the action in the old area of Vegas but thriving with the Fremont Street Experience right around the corner. It is easy to find using Google Maps.

What a treat¡!¡!!!! This is a vegas ICON. Not only in flavor and pricing, but one of the oldest restaurants in vegas! Do yourself a flavor and eat here. Raquel, our waitress was prompt, friendly, and made some great suggestions. I had the ribeye, she had the homemade chicken pot pie. My steak was cooked perfectly, and what I was hoping for. The pot pie is from a recipe from the 1970s, and reflects a wonderful trip back to my mom's kitchen. It's that good. Easily earned ##Nofeardining. GREAT FREEMONT VALUE!!!!

Google
The service was good. We ordered delivery. The food was delicious. We ordered the salmon and mixed vegetables. I gave it four stars for the small portions and the expensive price.

Google
Above average comfort food. The staff is super friendly. I came on a non-busy time on Saturday at around 4:30pm. Today i ordered the chicken sandwich. It was delicious. I highly recommend this sandwich. Also, on my next trip, i got the tri-tip dip. That was better than i expected. Super tender marinated beef, and the french bread was soft and fresh. Big spacious dining room. My next trip inhad the turkey club sandwich and fries. Pretty good and the fries were crispy. You can validate your parking ticket here if you parked in the garage.

Google
Great food great service great atmosphere. You are welcomed the minute you walk in. Menu is limited but options are great the chicken hickory is to die for, highly recommended. The hotel has an amazing pool with shark tank a slide that goes through the tank amazing. Plenty of entertainment around and excitement highly recommended. Price is normal parking everywhere.

Google
Claim Jumper Restaurant & Saloon has the best clam chowder, chicken wings & fantastic chicken pot pie. Great friendly, fun & informative service from Rob here at Claim Jumper located in the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Yelp
First time in downtown Vegas! I am a long haul trucker so I travel the country looking for amazing steaks service and ambience. I asked security walking Fremont street for the best steak and they recommend "The Golden Nugget" Now it was busy as heck and about a 6-7 out of 10 for noise level depending on your sensitivity and as a single diner they got me seated within about 3-4 minutes so VERY QUICK! I was seated at a small table back past the main dining room and was quickly greeted by "Miss Alicia" she took my order and brought my coke no ice out very quickly. I ordered a 16oz ribeye medium well with mash potatoes and green beans with garlic butter. My Steak arrived approximately 12-15 minutes later hot and tasty properly cooled and tender as hell! Mash potatoes were hot but not super flavorful and the green beans were fresh hot and with the garlic butter quite tasty. Now for dessert, THE MOTHERLOAD!!!! A massive six layer chocolate cake with walnuts and some SERIOUS chocolate I'm not going to lie I did have to take MOST of it to go as it is a monster! If you order the MOTHERLOAD it's will be enough for two average people maybe even three. It was moist and definitely rich. Now there did seem to be chocolate chunks in the ganache between the layers but I'm not quite sure if that was it or if it was a softened walnut. The walnuts on the outside were fresh and semi crunchy. Overall a very good meal and a very good desert. Service 10 out of 10 Amazing Cleanliness 9 out of 10 Table wobbled Food 9 out of 10 Mash potatoes no flavor Price. 8 out of 10 It was pricey total of $70.37 but worth it! Overall 9.5 out of 10 One of the best I've been too!

Yelp
It was a good breakfast, we were able to get right in. Waiter was nice, a little slow at getting the food out to us, but that wasn't his fault. We were staying at Golden nugget so it was convenient. I ordered the ham and hollandaise omelette. I did ask for extra hollandaise, after I received our food, I didn't need to order extra. It was good food, it just did not wow us and being in Las Vegas there are so many places to try that I would just try a different place.

Yelp
Good food with huge portions. We ordered the potato skins and hickory chicken. Could not finish it all. Arrived fast. Despite being prime dinner hour on a Saturday night we were seated right away. Service was good

Yelp
Good food and great service inside Golden Nugget. Tiki Hubby and I shared the 3 egg omelette with chorizo, cheese, avocado, sour cream with a ranchero sauce, came with potatoes and toast. Not one bad bite and one order was more than enough for both of us. Our waitress was great sooo busy. Good fresh cooked perfectly food.

Yelp
Came here for the delicious clam chowder it's so good. My husband ordered the patty melt he loved it . We ordered the carrot cake to go , it was so decadent and moist. Our server was Michelle , she was so fast and as far as customer service goes she went above and beyond she was awesome !!

Yelp
Conveniently located inside the Golden Nugget, the Claim Jumper offers a little sanity when it comes to some of the pricing you will see around Las Vegas when it comes to meal prices. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Service is excellent, very attentive and ensured we wanted for nothing. Menu covers a standard gauntlet of food fare. Nice selection of some healthy options. The fruit platter was outstanding and shareable. Never ending coffee is a plus! Ambience is very casual with a cozy feel of a diner mixed in. Love the fact that they offer to go cups on unfinished beverages to take with you. Everything was well prepared, served fresh and hot.

Yelp
I can't stress this enough: Eat anywhere else. Unless you enjoy eating overpriced rubber eggs, pancakes made from concrete and filmy maple syrup. Absolutely abhorrent management. High volume shouldn't = shit.
google avatar

Yelp
The breakfast place available at the Golden Nugget. A convenient spot for early morning nutrition or taking. A break from extremely early gaming. I like the veggie burrito. It's a manageable portion; not so waste like the Claim Jumper of years ago. The veggies are fresh and the tortilla wrap is quite tasty. The biscuits & gravy is quite yummy! Splash cholula on the biscuit for spice. This place is Vegas style .. fast and no- nonsense- sense. Good cup of coffee! Eat here!

Yelp
The restaurant was great--the food was served quickly, the bill was calculated promptly, and the dishes were quite tasty

Yelp
Atmosphere - Good for late night dining. No wait for a Thursday evening at 9pm. Lots of indoor seating. Music was a bit too loud and it was difficult to hold a conversation. Customer service - Waiter was patient and made good recommendations. Taste - Tri Tip Dip sandwich was flavorful, filling, meat was tender, bread was fresh and crispy. Au jus was rich and flavorful. Pot pie had a flaky crust and the filling was rich and hearty. Good proportion of meat to vegetables. Carrot cake was fresh, moist, ands the frosting was smooth and not too sweet. Price - Above Average for Las Vegas Giving this establishment a 4 because the music was too loud. N

Yelp
A warning to others who remembered how Claim Jumpers used to be and wanted to try it now... I say leave the nostalgia in memory. We tried the one in Las Vegas wanting the Tri-tip with the cheese potato cakes but they discontinued the potato cakes. As for the steak, it was dry and flavorless. Paying $29.99 for this meal was a ripoff. However, service was good but the food is a big letdown.

Yelp
Claim Jumper was the perfect restaurant to visit while on a trip! We ventured there after not having anything really to eat on our plane and we had traveled for about 3-4 hours via plane and we needed something good and fulfilling! When we arrived there was a line but the line seemed to be moving so, we decided to try it! Within about 5 mins of standing in the line we were seated! And seated in such a cute booth! We could see the tvs which had sports on it and proceeded to order drinks. We ordered the tequila sunrise and it was tasty and strong! Just the way we like it when we hit up Vegas for a girl's trip! I ordered a breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee because I was tired but, was also trying to get on that Vegas level with the tequila sunrise. Their breakfast burrito was ON POINT! I don't eat cheese, eggs, or sour cream and all I had was the chorizo, salsa and the potatoes. STILL ON POINT!!!! I may also add this restaurant was tasty that we came back the last day we were in Vegas. The ambiance, the FOOD AND DRINJ quality, the fast and great customer service all make this a spot you want to check out while staying at the GN or on Fremont Street! It IS an experience that is totally worth it!

Yelp
Had a delish breakfast this morning before hitting the pool at the Nugget. Service was a little wow but I'm guessing they are suffering with low staff like lots of other places. Had the Full House traditional breakfast with coffee and getting the food was super quick. Best part was the pancakes which were perfectly fluffy. Nice ambience and friendly staff! Would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was really busy as it's inside the casino. The staff were really nice and sat me down at a nice clean table. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad with soup. I received my order and the salad was really good and tasty. I don't usually eat at the claim jumper but wanted to try. It was a nice place and service was really good and helpful at this place. If you are looking for a good lunch spot, this would be a great location to try.

Yelp
Had a delicious breakfast today! Our wonderful server, Michael was top notch! He was friendly, attentive and all around excellent. It made for a very satisfying experience. Our food came quickly and he checked on us several times. Really, nothing negative to say about our breakfast experience today. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Karl K.

Yelp
Love the clam chowder soup here!!! I have to get it every time I'm at the Golden Nugget. Delicious!!!!

Kenneth R.

Yelp
Food and waitress were amazing! However, the manager accused us of lying when I let them now it was my mom's birthday and checked her ID. That was weird because I didn't ask for it for free. He killed the ambience.
google avatar

Cristy G.

Yelp
Fast service but food's quality was horrible. Mc Donald's has better quality than this place.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
I'm not sure that this Claim Jumper is related to the national chain of the same name, but this namesake certainly had similar portions! CJ is located near the back of the Golden Nugget and right off the Fremont Street experience. My chicken pot pie was a great comfort food choice. Jen, Mark, and Gayle also enjoyed their choices, and our service was what I would call small town friendly and fast. The dining room also throws off a casual large coffee shop vibe, that was comfortable and we were happy to stay awhile.
google avatar

Yelp
This was the second time we visited this particular location and had a bad experience. I won't say discrimination but I will say we are people of color and we were not greeted at our table in a reasonable time. 12 minutes then I asked for water. Then we became important. Last visit it was implied we could not afford an add on. My husband is a Clinical Supervisor and I am a Mayoral Aide lll We are living just right. Nevertheless we will nvr visit this establishment again. This time what made it worst was the lady who did finally come acknowledged that the treatment was unfair. Maybe some training is needed

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the Golden Nugget! It was a nice atmosphere or was nice to have a dinner where there wasn't any loud music or people yelling! I could actually hear the conversation between us. They had navy fiend options for dinner as to where I wanted pasta. I really didn't care for the style of pasta that I got. It was bow tie pasta with blackened chicken in a white sauce. I guess it wasn't my style. But the portions size was very huge. Enough to share. We also got a steak plate that came with two sides, some roasted vegetables, and baked potato. That was very tasty. Our server was nice he checked on us once through our meal. They serve Coca-Cola products here as I was very happy. I didn't want to drink anymore as to where I was drinking all day. So a soda sounded great. If you're in the Golden Nugget Casino, come check this place out.

Yelp
Was so good a couple of years ago. we stay at the GN for many years and loved the CJ breakfast... until they decided to get rid of the hush browns. the "miner's potatoes" are just dry and not what we are used to. So, a short walk to Binion's across the street satisfies with the same omelets but with good hush browns. CJ, why did you change the menu?
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
The food was subpar. The choices were expensive, but with some old items removed from current menus and with a higher price, I wouldn't go back. Sad part os now, heard a rumor some chefs don't wash their hands. So definitely not returning.
google avatar

Uyen V.

Yelp
Food was good- sad I didn't get a picture of their wing appetizer because it was delicious. Food came out in a timely manner. Good spot to eat if you don't want to wait in the crazy Las Vegas lines.

Sandra B.

Yelp
Had a ribeye steak here. Was really good. The baked potato was delicious and yummy green beans. I be also had a perfect Patron margarita too. I bc appreciate the restaurant was non smoking. Great service too.
google avatar

Odalis G.

Yelp
The place is really nice. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is all day. They have TVS around the entire restaurant, literally wall to wall. The only downfall is that they don't have a restroom. The restroom is within the hotel, but it's outside of the restaurant. It may be because how the restaurants are placed within the hotels that they don't have a restroom.

Yelp
Ate at CJ twice during a downtown event back in February. The first visit was for a Sunday night dinner. The place was packed, but the service and food were exceptional. Went again on Wednesday midday and the service, while not as amazing, was still very good and the food was exceptional. Great service is 90% of the battle and, in my opinion, this Claim Jumper location is doing it right.

Yelp
I love coming to this restaurant when I'm in Vegas. It's on my to do list very time. They are very generous with their portions. I couldn't eat the whole thing! But, i enjoyed the pot pie as a left over too. It's a great favorite of mine! As you can see, another favorite is a cup of clam chowder which is a size of a bowl! Or, did they cracked the cup?! Country fried steak are two huge pieces under that creamy gravy. That night, we did a taste test! That piece of chocolate cake was over the top! The service is phenomenal and ever so swift as well as friendly. I will be bringing my siblings during a sibling reunion in May 16, 2023. The ambiance is great there, not too loud. I dream about the food there...Ciao!

Yelp
Decided to have breakfast before heading out on a Saturday morning to see Vegas. Got there at 10 am, and we were seated with no wait. When we left at around 11:30, there was a line and a wait so I would suggest getting there early. The server was nice and attentive. I ordered the scrambler. It was good but a little greasy for me. Portion was huge, and I couldn't eat it all. Definitely would visit again. Experience was great, food was good. Vibe was right.

Yelp
I went to eat at Claim Jumpers for my bday and I only had the widow burger meal and just water. I was charged my meal $25 and charged me again $70 dollars. I called and spoke to the manager and they said they'd get back to me within a day. I haven't gotten a response yet. I've also emails a picture of my bank statement with no response either. I called today and I was placed on hold for more than a few minutes. I'd like some help with this please. Thank you
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
Located inside the Golden Nugget, they don't take reservations so you have to wait. But on a Saturday night it took less than an hour to get a table for 6 people. Large- HUGE -portions. Very friendly waitstaff. Chicken pot pie was delicious and my favorite.
google avatar

Marynell K.

Yelp
We decided to have dinner here before a night out while staying at the Golden Nugget. The restaurant is located directly across the pool. It wasn't busy at 4pm. We were seated right away. Our server was very friendly. She helped me decide to get the full rack of ribs instead of the half for a few more dollars. The food and service were great.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is inside the Golden Nugget. It doesn't seem to be a GN-type restaurant. GN is relatively upscale, especially for Downtown. This place is good and the waitresses are likable but they're more like waitresses you would expect to find at Orleans--or in an episode of Mel's Diner. When our waitress was ready to take our order, she ignored our conversation and interrupted with, "Know what you want?" It was funny to me. And my friend Chris (met him for first time after being poker friends online for years) just rolls with whatever all the time (why we get along). I'm not writing this because I didn't like the waitress. I think she was cool. I'm writing it because you might not like the waitress. Since there is potential for that, the question becomes: Does the food make up for it? That's a tricky question because the food is similar to the waitress. I don't mean the scrambled eggs look like the waitress's face. For you to even think that is rude. I mean that the quality of the food is parallel to the service. For example, if someone asked you, "Hey. What do think about the service at Claim Jumpers?" You might not say: "Kind of like scrambled eggs--well done." But you might say, "Pretty good. Not amazing, but you know what you're going to get." And let's not forget about orange juice. It didn't cost $6 like the OJ you find on The Strip (or Circa). I recommend Claim Jumpers. Not Highly but recommended nevertheless.
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
When making our annual visit to LV, CJ is always on our agenda. The eggs bene is my usual, it isn't always perfect, sometimes the egg is over cooked, or they don't dab it dry after poaching because the english muffin is wet. But the hollandaise is delicious and so are the thin strips of ham. I really enjoy the hash brown, nice and browned. I love the quaint vibe, puts me in relax mode. The service is always great. This restaurant is located at the Golden Nugget hotel near the pool.

Yelp
We tired this place because we were in the Golden Nugget and it was alright. I wasn't that full so I had the shrimp cocktail, clam chowder and ate some of my wife's Cobb salad. Food was good and portion size was adequate. Service was prompt but not friendly, but who cares because service for me has so many factors (bad day, slow kitchen..etc..) so I'll give him a break. Really good value for what we paid, because it was in old Vegas.
google avatar

Santa S.

Yelp
Love this place. We had the chicken pot pie twice during our visit. We also had the cheese bread which was a great appetizer to share. Service was fast and friendly
google avatar

Diann R.

Yelp
Walked right in and and was seated promptly. Service was fast and good. This was a Tuesday morning and not on a weekend. TVs we're playing for all the patrons to watch. My croissant sandwich was delicious. Hubby had the California omelette and he loved all the vegetables in it. The area was clean and staff hard working.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
It is what it is. What do I mean...? Simply that it's a greasy spoon. This is the place to go when you're drunk and need something deep-fried and smothered in ranch.

Coco C.

Yelp
Unfortunate claims jumper used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But as I visit the restaurant recently I noticed that the menu is completely changed an it's not the same. The quality of the food and the drinks are totally different, not a fan.in it sad me to have to write this review because I love CJ I have celebrated so many miles stones with CJ. But as I visit this location for the third time, I noticed that the quality of the service as well as the food, is completely different. So for me, I probably won't be visiting this one anyway. Unfortunately, but I'm not gonna say that. This may not be a good establishment. For someone else, I will say the restaurant is still clean

Yelp
During our stay at the Golden Nugget - my husband was an early riser and wanted a good breakfast around 7am- He found "CJ's" on its website - I didn't realize it was actually Claim Jumper - he went looking for CJ's and found it open and not very busy. He had a nice breakfast while the kids and. I slept in. We returned around 10:30 am- It was busy, people in bathing suit cover ups ready for the day - When we asked for a table for 4, we got seated immediately much to my surprise. The hostess was friendly as was the server . What caught my attention was the clean tables and my water glass looked crystal clear! I can easily get grossed out if the cups at restaurants don't look clean . Not the case here. The prices were good - nothing obscene. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a side of fruit !! It was very good. My son ordered the French toast , it was just right. The other two ordered appetizers and a regular bacon and egg breakfast. The coffee was refilled at the right moment. The staff was on their A game on this day. We plan to return to the Golden Nugget and will definitely eat at CJ's again!!

Yelp
Everything was fine except for the ribeye steak had a lot of gristle. I spoke to the chef he knocked off some money for the inconvenience and everything's all good mac & cheese was excellent baked potato was excellent service was great.

Yelp
This was a Nightmare .. Food was decent... But Flipping the coin .. The service was Horrible...We actually waited 35 minutes before our food was served... When the food finally came .. I was getting ready to exit stage left .. Just a Bomber...
google avatar

Adelia H.

Yelp
This was such a disappointment!! My boyfriend chose this place for his birthday. The food was over priced and flavorless... we waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged and 20 minutes to be sat at our table. I had to call the restaurant once walking in to finally get acknowledged... that should have warned us. His steak was tough and flavorless and mine was well done when I asked for medium rare... the portions aren't even a fraction of what they used to be... Don't waist your hard earned money here. Ok and did I mention the mandatory service fee of the VERY POOR SERVICE...

Yelp
Came here last night with my wife and a friend. We were glad it didn't look very busy when we arrived for an early dinner at around 5:40 PM on a Saturday night. We thought this meant we'd be in and out in no time. Boy were we wrong! The staff didn't seem to be very busy while we were there, yet our server was often nowhere to be seen. Even our initial questions about the menu went unanswered because the server forgot to go ask the kitchen. DO NOT COME HERE if you have any sort of food allergy because they straight up said they couldn't and weren't willing to accommodate, despite their website denoting certain items as being Gluten Free. Our server basically said the website was wrong and they wouldn't make any sort of accommodations. As we debated whether we should just pay for our iced teas and leave, we asked the server to check with the kitchen to make sure that the steaks really couldn't be made with just salt and pepper instead of seasoning. A while passed and the server came back to ask if we were ready to order. We asked if she checked with the kitchen yet and it was apparent she forgot because she immediately ran off. She came back about 10 min later and said yes the steaks could be made without seasoning. So we went ahead and placed our orders for the table including the gluten free steak for my wife. She ended up still getting sick, but that's not where the story ends!! About half an hour went by and our food never came, and our server never came to update us or refill our drinks. We then noticed that several tables around us that arrived/ordered after us already had their food and were eating. We asked the hostess to check for us since our server was nowhere to be seen. The hostess came back and told us that she asked the server to go to the kitchen to check. Then, magically our entrees arrived almost immediately. Hmmm it's almost as if our food was just sitting in the window with nobody bothering to check on it. Overall, the food is decent here but the service is non-existent and the servers do not care. It's almost like they don't want anyone to tip them or something. Not only will we not come back to this location but we will never return to Claim Jumper ever again after this miserable experience!

Yelp
Came in for a late dessert. I was seated at 11:15 and did not see a server till 11:30. I ordered a piece of cake. It did not hit the table till 11:47. Wow. The cake was served without any silver ware, but that arrived soon after. They said that they go hit with a large party, but if that is the case do not sit people there.
google avatar

Leslie D.

Yelp
Service was really bad . The sever and host had an attitude barely assisted us and were not kind at all . The food was not good my steak was medium well when I asked for medium rare . The only good thing was the artichoke dip . Ribeye was too cooked for my preference

Craig N.

Yelp
Certainly not as good as the days before it was sold in 2005 to the Leonard Green company, they destroyed it and eventually sent it to bankruptcy and thats when it really went downhill as Landry's bought it out of BK, now it is owned by Kelly company.
