"A breakfast destination in Solana Beach for many years, the charming cottage features a menu highlighted by favorites like green scramble with spinach and zucchini, seared salmon eggs Benedict, and lemon ricotta pancakes. If the line is a little long, stop into Claire’s Too, the adjacent coffee shop that stocks baked goods as well as grab-and-go breakfast items." - Helen I. Hwang, Candice Woo

I went to Santa Fe Christian just up the street for high school so I’ve been to Claire’s many times over the years and this past weekend it was just as good as I had remembered. There is always a bit of a wait during weekend mornings and we were told we would have to wait 25 minutes, but it ended up being about 5 to 10 minutes. We were able to be seated inside, but they have plenty of heated outdoor seating in the back as well. Parking is extremely easy because there is a free parking lot in the back or it’s also easy to find parking in the train station parking lot across the street. They don’t have a very large menu, but it has a lot of great options on it. For my breakfast I started off with the Salted Caramel Latte and thought it was fantastic. Claire’s is known to have some of the best coffee around and it was just as good as it always has been. For my entrée, I chose the Parmesan Risotto and Cured Bacon Benedict and really enjoyed it. It was an extremely unique take on a classic dish that I love so it was nice to have a different version. The hashbrowns on the side were fantastic and I would highly recommend anyone ordering them. Overall a great breakfast spot and somewhere that I would call a neighborhood gem. It’s definitely a hit with the locals, but would be great for people visiting town as well. I plan to be back in the near future.

We live to combine a home at Annie's canyon down the street with a visit to Claire's before or after. I joined the wait-list on Google maps as I was driving there. Checked into the hostess stand after I was able to score the last spot in their small parking lot behind the restaurant. There is plenty of parking across the street. Service was good and we were there at noon for lunch. It was busy but there were still plenty of empty tables out on their back patio. We had a little wait for our food orders and they came out at different times. We ordered the salmon and peach salad and the veggie sandwich. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The veggie sandwich wasn't a hit so we don't recommend that dish. High stack of fresh vegetables but tasteless.

Visited on my way to NorCal after visiting San Diego. Ordered Egg Benedict & French Toast as well as cafe latte and smoothie, all very delicious! The staff were friendly and supportive.

Google
Big fan of their vanilla latte: smooth, not too sweet, and solid flavor too! Very quick turnaround for the latte as well. The restaurant is so close to the beach so it’s the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee before heading to the beach. Would love to try their food the next time I’m here!

Every time I’m in SD I come here for breakfast. Top 3 chai lattes I’ve ever had I always get the risotto cakes eggs Benedict

Pretty cute and cozy brunch spot in Solona beach. We joined the waitlist online and it was a very short wait after we got there. The food itself is okay, not amazing, but pretty decent. My favorite is the hash browns and the cookie they gave to you with your check. It makes me to purchase their cookies at their coffee shop after.

Google
TLDR - 5/5 delicious food, fantastic service. Expect a little bit of a wait, nothing out of the norm for a restaurant in demand. There was a little bit of a wait to get our food but it was nothing out of norm for a busy restaurant. Also weather was perfect, and the waitress had a second sense of when to refill our coffee and water. This lets us enjoy each others company while waiting for what ended up being a super delicious lunch! I got the enchiladas and eggs. It was good but I wouldn’t order again. Next time I will order the flat bread or the fried green tomato sandwich. The enchiladas were good, the black beans, but the scrambled eggs just didn’t feel in sync. All good on their own. We also shared the Tahitian Vanilla French toast - I worried it would be too sweet/overwhelming vanilla flavor, it was just right. The blackberry stuffed French toast is next on our list. My partner got the Maple Fried Chicken sandwich with the addition of sliced tomato. It was the winning dish at the table. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, the fried chicken perfectly crisp.

Google
Super cute little tucked away cozy breakfast/brunch/coffee place. Food was spectacular, service was warm welcoming and spot on. Nice indoor or outdoor options. Same lot, just to the north of main restaurant is a walk-up building for take away coffee/drinks/snacks with its own shaded seating area too. Lovely little charming eatery where they obviously love dogs too. See attached photo of doggie menu, posted at doggie height when you walk in. Great place! Give it a try.💙💙

Yelp
My wife and I recently visited Claire's on Cedros for breakfast, and it was nothing short of excellent. I ordered the Risotto Benedict, and it was a perfect blend of flavors - creamy, rich, and with just the right amount of seasoning. The poached eggs were perfectly done, and the risotto provided a unique and delightful twist to a classic dish. My wife had the Short Rib and Potato Cakes, which was equally outstanding. The short rib was tender, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the crispy potato cakes... which was pretty much just hash browns but excellent nontheless. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant made for a very enjoyable meal. Another huge plus was that there was plenty of available free parking across the street.

Yelp
There's usually a very very long wait, but if you join the yelp waiting list and show up around the expected wait time, you can get seated pretty quickly! The outside area we were seated in was very nice and shaded with nice decor. The server we had was extremely nice and friendly, and took good care of us! We ordered: Maple bruleed steel cut oats Honey lavender cortado Southwest omelet Friend green tomato sandwich Salted caramel waffle I especially enjoyed the southwest omelet. All of the components worked well with each other to create a cohesive medley of flavors. The sweet stuff was slightly too sweet for my own personal taste but overall still pretty solid. The lavender honey cortado was more heavy on the honey flavor than lavender, which I personally don't mind at all, but just something to keep in mind. Lots of options on the menu including a ton of vegetarian options!

William L.

Yelp
It's a lively and bustling vibe here! Seating and ventilation is comfortable. The staff here are very attentive and always keep an eye out and make sure your glass of water is topped up - so no need to ask :) Food was decent. Other diners' looked pretty enticing too. I would come back to try more stuff!

Nancy H.

Yelp
We joined the yelp waiting list 2 hours prior to arrival, so we only had to wait 10min for our table to be ready when we go there. There is a huge free parking lot directly across the street from the restaurant. Food: - (Recommend) Maple fried chicken sandwich: The batter surrounding the chicken breast did not have any noticeable crunch, but I really liked the hint of maple sweetness. The sunny side up egg erupted some nice runny yolk. The bun was soft. I was debating whether to order this since it does not seem to be a commonly ordered item in the yelp reviews. But I liked it and am glad to have tried it! I was debating between this and the sweet/savoury burger. If you are a lover of chicken sandwiches, you should give it a try. I still want to try the burger though. - (Recommend) Side of shoestring fries with herb seasoning: These fries were perfectly crispy. I love shoestring fries too, because my favorite part of the fry is always the crunchy exterior, not the fluffy interior. -(Recommend) Italian sausage and ricotta flatbread: Our favorite dish of the meal. It was just so flavourful. The crust was super thin and floppy though, in case you are expecting a crisp crust. Doesn't matter, super delicious and would order again. - (Pass) Stuffed French toast: I actually came specifically for the french toast, and while everything else impressed me, I was not a fan of the french toast. It was not sweet, it was not tart. It was bland. The fruit could have used carmelization. The ricotta cheese was creamy, but ricotta does not have much intrinsic flavor. Ambiance: It is SO NOISY inside. My ears were ringing. It was hard to have a conversation with my partner. I wonder if it is quieter outside of the popular brunch hour.

Yelp
Claire's on Cedros is one of my go-to's for brunch in Solana Beach. This spot is always packed so there is usually a wait for a table but the food and drinks come out pretty fast once you're seated. The back patio has such a nice atmosphere as well if you can get a table back there! The staff is also super friendly and attentive! The food itself is amazing, I have enjoyed everything I have had here. The Green Scramble is a healthy option with lots of fresh greens. But The Angus Short Rib & Hash Brown Potato Cakes are unreal. So much flavor and texture in every bite! They also have yummy mimosas in all sorts of flavors and great coffee. Can't wait to keep coming back and knocking more dishes off the list!

William M.

Yelp
This was an incredible find in Solana Beach. The food, the nicely appointed dining area and the service all exceeded our expectations. Everything was hot and freshly prepared...top chef quality food in a comfortable and relaxing environment.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Cute spot for lunch. Service was good and nice outside area. I had the poblano chicken soup and it had good flavors but needed a bit of salt for my taste. The cornbread complemented it well. My vanilla latte was excellent. Lots of other things on the menu I would want to try.

Gen E.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite local solana beach restaurants. It gets busy, and they do not take reservations, so make sure to join the waitlist on Yelp before you go. Saves you an hour of waiting outside! It is a casual spot with good food, and the waitstaff is busy, so be prepared to be patient. We started with the Pear and Pancetta flatbread. I give it a 7 out of 10. Crispy and the onions were caramelized perfectly but needed a little seasoning. My husband and I both got eggs Benedict. He got the traditional that he enjoyed, and I got the parmesean risotto cakes Benedict. The eggs, bacon, and Bearnaise were delicious, but I'm not a fan of the risotto cakes. Very bland. However, I used the Sourdough toast in place of the risotto cakes, and it was great! The side salad I got as my side had zero seasoning. I wouldn't get that as my side again.

Jacey H.

Yelp
Wow, we were giving nothing but recommendations from EVERYONE to come here. We were not disappointed. I think it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The workers were so incredibly kind and the restaurant has an awesome sustainability mission. I genuinely think this is an award winning place.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
A must in Solana Beach. This is definitely a local favorite spot of ours. The wait can get long on the weekends but luckily they have a coffee shop next door where you can get a late and a pastry to hold you over. Staff is friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. They always bring out the check with these delicious cookies! Located just across from the train tracks and a walkable distance to the beach! This is truly a solana beach staple!

Olivia N.

Yelp
It's a popular place so there might be a bit of a wait. Breakfast was delicious. Great selection of coffees and food. The biscuits are amazing. Service was friendly. Cute place as well.

Leyla A.

Yelp
Great find in the San Diego area. I came here for weekday breakfast and there was no wait. They have parking outside which was easy. The place is cute, especially the backyard area. Great weather, great servie with friendly staff. So many options for breakfast and coffee! Really good menu, I tried their california omelette and lemon ricotta pancakes (highly recommend). Everything was delicious and their staff is very attentive! There are nice areas to walk nearby- 9 min walk is Fletcher Cove. Definitely must visit!

Laura G.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant near Fletcher Cove with breakfast and lunch options. We chose from the lunch menu. My favorite item was the ricotta and sausage flatbread. The sandwiches were huge and also very tasty. There's indoor and outdoor seatings and a nice breeze even when sitting indoors. Afterwards you can walk to Fletcher Cove where there's a nice beach and a playground with a grassy area.

Ethan K.

Yelp
Good food, good location, fast seating, friendly service. A neighborhood staple for a reason

Casidy C.

Yelp
Wow! The food here is amazing, and my aunt had told me the hashbrowns were to die for but I didn't understand until I tried it for myself. They were soooo buttery and crispy, really indulgent and maybe even a bit heavy for the morning, but so frickin good. I ordered the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich with bacon and the bacon was amazing, so crispy and great flavor. We sat at the outside patio in the back, it was a bit busy but we didn't have to wait terribly long on the weekend morning we went. Super cute brunch spot, I wanna come back for those hashbrowns!!

Steven R.

Yelp
The best. Nice staff and great food. Great pastries and coffee. Breakfast is great and so are the salads.

Kyna N.

Yelp
A local gem! I don't know how I've gone all this time and never had brunch here! Packed, even on a rainy Saturday morning, but for good reason. We had the breakfast grilled cheese with sausage and tomato and the vanilla bean French toast. The bread here is fantastic. For the grilled cheese, it was melty, cheesy and balanced. I'd opt for just the tomato next time but the sausage addition was good. The French toast was well seasoned and had a nice crust on the outside to complement the soft, sweet bread. Will definitely be back to try more things and their lunch menu next time!

Yelp
Claire's on Cedros is a great breakfast/lunch located in Solana Beach. Popular almost everyday of the week, weekends can get busy so expect a wait. Offering up a full selection of all the breakfast classics from eggs, omelettes, pancakes, oatmeal, and more there is something for everyone. They also have a great beverage menu from wide assortment of coffee, fresh juices, cocktails and more. For this visit, I was in the mood for something hearty and selected the Angus Short Rib & Hash Brown potato eggs. The beef is a Cabernet Braised Beef, with 2 Eggs & toast. The entree was delicious with the tender beef and hash brown potatoes made for a very filling meal. I would order this again as it was unique and not many places serve short rib for breakfast. Claire's is a great spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch. It's quaint indoor seating as well as spacious outdoor seating can seat varying party sizes. There is also plenty of parking across the street at the train parking lot.

Kathy S.

Yelp
What a great place! I've heard about Claire's on Cedros for years, but never made it down...until today. Took a friend for her birthday lunch. Great service and large, delicious portions. We both had the Peruvian Chicken Sandwich - WoW, so delicious! I had the homemade potato chips and my friend had the French fries. Perfect Arnold Palmer's quenched our thirst. The cookies brought with the bill were delicious too. I'm born and raised in North County and hate how crowded it is everywhere these days. I loved that there was a huge parking lot across the street, no worries about parallel parking or squeezing into too tight a parking space. It was packed on a Tuesday, tells you how good it is. Pricing was very reasonable as well. Win, Win, Win.

Yelp
This was probably my favorite meal when I was in town during xmas break. We really had no business going out for a meal, but we had just gone for a walk just a few blocks down where everyone likes to go for a quick hike so we were hungry. We got lucky as we ended up being one of the last people they sat since they were closing early aa it was xmas eve. I loved what I got which was the dulce de leche latte and the California omelet that was recommended by my sister who happens to be named Claire. I still dream about that latte. It makes me want to go see my family in SD more often just so I can drop in for that drink. Already plotting my return. .

Yelp
Pretty cute and cozy brunch spot in Solona beach. We joined the waitlist online and it was a very short wait after we got there. The food itself is okay, not amazing, but pretty decent. My favorite is the hash browns and the cookie they gave to you with your check. It makes me to purchase their cookies at their coffee shop after.

Yelp
Claire's is a cute cottage core place in Solana Beach with breakfast, brunch and lunch. The ambiance here is very homey, welcoming and cozy which I absolutely love. I tried their blackberry stuffed french toast and sweet & savory burger. The french toast was pretty good, it was stuffed with ricotta (I'm a huge ricotta fan), and topped with blackberry compote and fresh berries. I got the sweet & savory burger because the combination of toppings/ingredients very much represents my taste profile - creamy goat cheese, honey cured bacon, fig spread, caramelized onions, baby arugula and whole grain mustard. Their food is good, but I didn't find it amazing or outstanding particularly. But combined with the homey cottage vibes, it's a great brunch spot that I would recommend in San Diego! Lines do get really long so do be prepared to wait a bit if you decide to come. They also give you cute little shortbreads when they bring you the check :)

Sam O.

Yelp
I went today because it has been a favorite place to come for brunch. We hadn't been there in a while so we were looking forward to it. The 1st server was great although it was brief and we got a different person since we ended up sitting elsewhere where there was no breeze. The 2nd server was impatient and very short from the get go and throughout our time there. The avocado toast, my wife's favorite item to order, came with the toast "over toasted," dark brown, and hard. There was mushed avocado without seasoning and placed in an unappealing way on the toast. Finally there were a few small broiled tomato slices also placed at random and wilting and unappealing. She had to return it and was without appetite after that. My enchiladas tasted good but the lettuce was placed on top of them in an unappealing way, long shreds vs small chopped. There was 1 green onion, wilted and cold placed in an unappealing way on top of the lettuce. Finally when I asked for the bill, I waited for 10 minutes and had not received it. I caught a person's attention and asked for some help in getting the bill; even that was problematic because she interrupted me repeatedly and would not let me get a full sentence out. She kept saying "I don't have access to your account." I finally got a chance to speak and said "I thought you would be able to help get the right person for us but I guess I can get up and start asking around." She immediately went and called someone. Our server came over a few minutes later, not sure what was needed and seemed perturbed when I said I hadn't received the bill yet. It didn't seem like communication was flowing effectively among the staff. Thus, this may be our last visit. We are totally not sure what was going on. Was there a change in ownership or management?

Nancy B.

Yelp
Go here. Do it. Great quality food. Incredibly fresh ingredients. Healthy yet very tasty options. AND they have a gourmet coffee shop on the side for a quick coffee and pastry, panini, breast burrito. Lots of shaded outdoor seating. Close enough to take a walk to beach afterwards. Plenty of Parking. If ur dog is sensitive to noise l( ours is) well train is underground now

Courtney M.

Yelp
Ambiance, so pleasant! The outside patio is so nice and I love that the place was probably an old home they renovated, made it feel small town. The service was so good and our server answered all my many questions. We ordered two lattes, the short rib and the southwest omelette, delicious. One of my favorite things about this place unlike many other breakfast spots is their care for the quality of ingredients they use. Farm fresh eggs, they even make their own coconut milk they use in the latte. They not only care about good food but that it's good for YOU as well. Love that and love this place. I'm still dreaming of the next time we can go back!

Niki R.

Yelp
We were heading out of San Diego and needed to find a place to stop for breakfast. We settled on Solana Beach because if it's cute design district area. Yelp guided us to Claire's on Cedros! Yelp did not disappoint. My husband said that the Eggs Benedict was perhaps one of the best he's ever had. The hollandaise sauce was awesome! The hash browns were perfectly crispy and well salted. They were absolutely delicious. The Bene was supposed to come with an English muffin per their menu, it came with a slice of well toasted toast-- his words "I don't feel cheated," that is- it was an amazingly satisfying breakfast. My avo toast came with grilled tomatoes - ewww gooey tomatoes - this is a personal issue - nothing to do with the way they were cooked. Not a fan of cooked tomatoes. But- hubby said they were good. The sourdough toast was hard to cut with a knife - this is usually the case when it's been sitting for a while - and the avocado was not at all seasoned-- I mean just salt and a squeeze of citrus with some chili pepper flakes would have been lovely. Good service. Totally appreciated that they have a reverse osmosis system for their water and love loved the heart-shaped shortbread cookies that came with the bill.

Mei T.

Yelp
I hosted a brunch with my MeetUp Fun Diego Ladies and we absolutely loved this restaurant! I came a bit early to wait for my group and was pleasantly surprised to see there was a canister of complimentary hot coffee outside the front entrance. That was such a nice gesture and very much appreciated! The brunch menu was quite elaborate, and I had a really had time deciding between sweet or savory. I ended up ordering the chicken salad croissant sandwich and sweet potato fries. I loved every bite of the sandwich and the fries! They were delicious! Our server was very attentive and took excellent care of us. I highly recommend this place! Just a note to add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp before you arrive, as it gets quite busy!

Sara R.

Yelp
Charming restaurant with amazing food. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday morning. The servers were friendly and the food exceeded all my expectations. Everything on the menu looked amazing. I wouldn't change a thing!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Claire's came recommended by a few locals so we made it a point to stop here on a weekday vs wknd to avoid the crowds. This place was packed on a Tuesday morning so that was definitely a good sign of things to come. Adorable house turned business with a spacious outdoor seating area in the back. We were on the cusp of breakfast and lunch and opted for breakfast because who doesn't love a hearty breakfast?? My friend and I split avocado toast and the parmesan risotta and honey cured bacon Benedict, which is officially one of my fave breakfasts I've had this year. Instead of a muffin, it's served on cream cheese risotto cakes which are literally the chefs kiss! The avocado toast was unforgettable, I think mostly because it was just served all by itself on a plate and just looked sad. They give you little cookies when you pay but honestly forget about them since we were so full.

Vicki T.

Yelp
We love Claire's and have been going for their great food for many years. Yesterday, the food was cold and slow to come out. Very weird for Claire's. We called the hostess over, Vanessa and she told our waitress, Jacqueline who immediately went to the kitchen and they cooked up a brand new order. They even comped the entire meal and added some free delicious muffins. We never needed their customer service before but now Claire's is solidified as our favorite place for breakfast or lunch! Try the Quinoa dish, yummy!

S. P.

Yelp
Claire's has been THE bfast spot to go, for decades. Unfortunately it was sold in 2019. Under the new ownership the food quality has suffered significantly. This morning we decided to give it another try. As per the usual - our Omelets were completely unseasoned. Literally zero taste whatsoever. They were thin, rubbery and barely lukewarm. Hash browns - completely unseasoned, tasting like water - but for the slightly bitter aftertaste as though the oil used for frying was old. Lemon Ricotta pancakes were gummy, rubbery & heavy. Also served barely lukewarm. Pancakes are served without syrup. Toast served without jelly. In both cases you must flag down your server to request what are basic, common accompaniments. At the very least, the server should ask if you'd like syrup and/or jelly. That's so basic. It's also quite expensive, which would be fine if the quality was there. But it is not. $19 for an omelet. We live in Solana Beach, and no one (locals we know) go to Claire's anymore for this very reason. We won't go back.

Heather H.

Yelp
The food! We tried multiple items from the breakfast menu and all were delicious! Sat out on the lovely patio with our dog, definitely going back next time I am in the area.

Star B.

Yelp
They even have food for pups! My Mocha Latte was smooth and silky. The scrambled eggs, sausage, and side of spinach was the perfect little small portion. We sat in the back outside and the weather couldn't have been better. The people who work here are delightful. Parking is across the street. If you want to stroll around after this is a great spot to start at.

Sherry B.

Yelp
This morning (Sat 9/7/24) our quinoa Benedict with home fries, lemon ricotta pancakes, hash browns and fruit were excellent, but the service from Samantha was outstanding. She was so attentive, anticipating our every need, split an order as requested and even took away a food plate to keep it warm until one of our group of 4 arrived later. We had all run several miles and very much enjoyed the lovely ambiance of the outside patio.

Dominique S.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Would definitely go back! Has outdoor seating with shade was amazing with the nice breeze and dog friendly

Kris L.

Yelp
We had decaf and regular lattes at the coffee stand version of Claire's and they were good, though the beans used were a bit more harsh than I prefer. Service was excellent and the huge selection of gorgeous pastries and panini looked amazing. We will come back to try those next time.

Hannah S.

Yelp
Claire's is my favorite spot in Solana beach. Everything from the coffee to brunch to lunch is so tasty. I love to stop by Claire's Too, their little take away walk up spot right next door, to grab their Honey lavender latte, iced w almond milk. Their eggs toast and hash browns are the best. PRO TIP: ask for the rosemary sourdough toast!! It's heavenly! I also love the green scramble! So healthy and refreshing, full of protein and fiber. And I don't have a picture of it, but their whole wheat pancakes are divine. The interior and exterior of Claire's is adorable, and their servers are the friendliest.

Karen F.

Yelp
Love! Great food, great service, nice atmosphere... one of my favorites!! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Cony L.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday with my girlfriends for a brunch and it was sooo busy! I forgot solano beach area has a lot of events during weekend. We couldn't find parking for over an hour. Thank goodness Claire's has wait list in Yelp so I was able to join us in wait list. They do have their own small parking lot in the back, but it's not enough especially during busy weekend. Restaurant vibe was alright but the food was pretty good and healthy. My gfs got smoothie and chai latte and they both loved it. I got lavender honey Cortado, right amount of sweetness and caffeine. So good For dishes we shared vanilla bean caramalized French toast, green egg dish, egg Benedict and egg sandwich. They all came out in descent time despite how busy restaurant was and were all pretty good. I wish we didn't struggle with parking otherwise would like to come back

Bonnie F.

Yelp
Nice restaurant in Solana Beach with easy parking. My first time here as I have heard good things about this place. You can sit inside or in the lovely back patio. There are a few tables in the front. I had the turkey and goat cheese melt with homemade potato chips. It was delicious, it had two kinds of cheese, a cranberry spread and arugula on it. Very tasty and a good size sandwich. I took half of it home. My friend had the sausage and riccota Flatbread. I thought it was ok, a bit to thin and not alot of toppings. The service was a bit slow, but it was lunch time. We sat inside but the back patio looked lovely with lots of plants and dog friendly. Easy parking across the street. It's in the more industrial area of Cedros away from the shops. But they are an easy, two block walk away.

Melissa R.

Yelp
I'm so happy we found this place... food and service were amazing. So much seating area outdoors with heaters. After breakfast we moved our car a few blocks and took a stroll down the Design District. I'm making sure to post my review so I can remember to go back next time we're in the area.

Michael S.

Yelp
Food was awesome, we ordered two sandwiches at the "Claire's Too" kiosk, Turkey with goat cheese and Cuban Chicken. Both were great. One star off because I tried to call the order in but it appears that the number on their website is not correct. Easy parking in back. Will try again for dine in next time we're in Solana Beach.

Jay M.

Yelp
The reviews brought us to the place. Wanted see if they were right. It did not disappoint. If you look on OpenTable, you're able to get your place online started before you arrive . You're definitely going to want to do this because if not, be prepared to wait for breakfast, The kids loved the creamy hot chocolate. It was gone before I could even tell them to slow down. Almost ordered another one. The biscuits and gravy with superb.. the biscuits were sick, wiki, and not too dense. Unlike most places they had large chunks of sausage and they're grieving.. the Italian sausage a good flavor. You could taste the Fennel. Gravy had just the right amount of sausage and you could not taste the Rue used to thicken. The ChillaQuiles were flavored great . The smokiness and spice the kick from the red sauce was perfect. The Mexican cheese was a good addition. And the over easy eggs were cooked perfect. This is definitely the best or in the top two Chilaquiles I've had anywhere in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Don't let the large number of tables cause you to think the kitchen just pushes out the food The service is still great. They've got plenty of servers to ensure the pace of your food is not rushed, but you were well taken care of. Overall, I'll give the ambience an eight out of 10.

Yelp
Cute, quaint little spot, always busy and they don't accept reservations. Not good for large parties. The food is always excellent but the host was unfriendly and unwelcoming seemed today, like he hated his job. I've been here 5 times now, have requested a table in outside garden, was told we had to wait extra time, usually an hour, and was seated elsewhere, which is unfortunate. I am now wondering if you have to have a secret code word to be seated on the garden patio? Today we were seated in the dog area and we did not bring our dog... that was what led me to write this review. The seating and ambiance issues aside, we LOVE the food and that's what we focused on.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and the food has always been excellent. The short rib with sweet potato hash is a perfect hearty breakfast staple and the parmesan risotto cakes with arugula and a poached egg (basically a type of eggs benedict choice) was fresh and absolutely delicious. They also have a great selection of alcohol and coffees and are such a morning staple. It's pretty busy here but it's because the food is amazing and the views and vibe are too. I will absolutely be back whenever I find myself back in the area.

Yelp
If you're looking for a brunch spot before you hit the beach, this is the spot to go to. This place looks like a little house which gives it a home feel when you're here. Service is great and attentive. In regards to the food, it is very affordable for what you get. I would recommend getting the organic QUINOA Benedict if you want something different and healthy. Make sure you arrive early because you will have to wait at least had a hour.

Yelp
Randomly chose to eat at this restaurant due to its location and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service we received! We were a large party yet were seated and served quickly. The food portions are sufficient and absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend checking this place out and would love to visit again soon!

Yelp
Wow, what a wonderful dining experience!! My family and I came to Claire's for the first time for my sister's birthday, and I honestly can't believe I haven't been here before. The vibes of this place are simply immaculate. I think the restaurant was originally a house; the eclectic architecture suggests as such. This, combined with the greenery of the garden in front of the building, really gave a cottage-bed-and-breakfast kind of feel to the experience. It was so cute!! There were two separate buildings, but the second building is more of a bakery. The parking is also plenty, so no need to worry about that. They were very busy on Sunday afternoon, so I'd suggest getting on the waitlist through Yelp. That's what we did, and we were seated without too much wait. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and everything is shaded, which was nice. It was such a cute brunch spot! Our food came out in decent time, and it was delicious! I ordered the beach bowl, and it was very refreshing. Just what I needed. As for everything else my party ordered, everyone seemed to really enjoy their dishes. There's something for everyone here! They also gave my sister a little dessert with a candle for her birthday! How sweet. Much to my sister's relief, they didn't sing, haha. I was very appreciative that they had this special treat for her. I definitely would love to come back here!! And maybe I can try the pastries in the bakery next door (also a part of Claire's).

Yelp
i love catching up with friends at claire's (even the second part to it on the left Claire's Too). i love the green omelette, their iced vanilla lattes are really yummy as well. Their paninis taste great, and service on both sides is very quick and kind. I love sitting here on a warm day to take a meeting or just chit chatting because it's the best thing in Solana!
