We waited at least 30 minutes for a table, and when our turn finally came, they only gave us a 3-minute window to show up or lose the spot. We were having drinks at another bar nearby, so my husband had to rush over to check us in and left me to pay the bill. I don’t speak Portuguese and had a misunderstanding with the waiter, so my husband had to come back to help—and by then we’d lost our spot at Clan and had to wait all over again. That whole experience really killed my mood, so take that into account when reading the rest.
We ordered the truffle fries, the burger, the cauliflower, and the carpaccio de rosbife. The truffle fries were fine but nothing special. If you like a very fatty, juicy burger, you’d probably enjoy theirs—my husband loved it—but I found it too fatty and salty. The cauliflower felt like a healthier option and was flavorful, but I wish it had been grilled a bit longer. The carpaccio de rosbife was just okay and a bit lacking in flavor.
On top of that, I couldn’t get their English menu to display properly on my devices, which made ordering more difficult.
Overall, it was an okay experience, but I personally found the place overrated and overpriced.
