Austin Farmers Market Stand Que Sazon Opens Mexican Food Truck Clandestino | Eater Austin

"Opening on Friday, September 8, Clandestino Mex Street Food will be parked on the patio of East Austin venues Volstead Lounge and Hotel Vegas at 1500 East Sixth Street. Its menu focuses on Mexican comfort food with tacos as the main offering and additional dishes such as tostadas, quesadillas, and tacos dorados. Co-owners Alejandro Macias (from Monterrey) and Jennifer Camacho (from Ciudad Juárez) created the truck to center their Chicano identity and to “celebrate immigrants and immigrant food,” and they chose the name Clandestino both for its Spanish meaning of something hidden or kept secret—reflecting complicated immigration experiences—and to evoke the fleeting permanence of street-food vendors. The truck’s posted hours are Thursday 6 p.m.–midnight, Friday 6 p.m.–1:30 a.m., Saturday 3 p.m.–1:30 a.m., and Sunday noon–6 p.m.; the owners also reference recent pressure on street vendors, noting instances such as New York City sanitation forcing Latin American street food vendors to close." - Nadia Chaudhury

We've enjoyed Clandestino since the time they opened. Their food is fresh, with lots of varieties on the menu which always changes to keep it interesting. Their drinks are also fresh, very flavorful, and not watered down. The staff is always such a pleasure to have serve us, and they are very gracious and attentive. Such a welcome pleasure to be greeted with smiles and thankfulness! Tonight's delight was: Clandestino Burrito, light and flavorful. Fresh Guac and Chips...delicious! Arugula and Apple salad with Grilled Chicken...perfectly seasoned and cooked! Their food is not only delicious but beautiful to look at!

Google
The chicken sandwich was so delicious and cucumber juice super fresh! The place I feel is little bit too hot for me, even this the Ac. No recommend the chorizo burrito, it was tasteless. Our server was great! Really nice and attentive.

Google
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. The only thing I didn't get was the best service. The waiter didn't refill my drink, so I had to ask a different waiter for it. I even had to get up from the table to ask for it. Other than that, everything was perfect

Google
Service was great from the host to the waiter. We ordered the pork belly bites, yum. They arw covered in this like sweet sauce, comes with red cabbage and three corn tortillas. We all has the chilaquiles with steak, one sunny side egg and one over easy, think next time I will do both over easy. 😅 It was pretty good over all. And finally had their Michelada. Very refreshing. So if you're hungry and thirsty, stop by. Cheers!

Google
We drove all the way from the South Bay just to try Clandestino, and let me tell you—it was absolutely worth the trip and the wait! When we arrived, the wait time was over an hour, but once we sat down, every dish we ordered made it more than worth it. I can be indecisive when it comes to food, so I loved that the chilaquiles flight came with both red and green chilaquiles plus the most flavorful rib eye. The rib eye was tender, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with the sauces. We also shared appetizers: the pork belly bites and shrimp lollipops. The shrimp were glazed with a sweet and spicy chipotle aioli—such a unique and tasty bite, and perfect for our group since there were five of us. The pork belly bites were crisp on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and topped with a honey Sriracha sauce that had the perfect balance of sweet heat. The serrano dipping sauce on the side was just as delicious. For something sweet, we tried the tres leches pancakes. They were fluffy, rich, and had a fun flavor that reminded me of Fruity Pebbles cereal—such a nostalgic twist. The ambiance here is beautiful, modern, and inviting. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating. Since we went on a hot day, the sun was right on us outside, but the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They moved umbrellas around for extra shade and even placed fans nearby to keep us cool. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out. Overall, Clandestino is definitely worth the drive and the wait. From the amazing food to the welcoming staff and modern vibe, this spot is a gem. Highly recommend!

Google
First time ever coming to this place and it did not disappoint, we decided to come from the high desert and try it out . Let me tell you, it was worth the drive . Customer service was great and welcoming, atmosphere was good not too busy and tables were spacious. The food was delicious and had so much flavor, I ordered the chicken green chili enchiladas. It also had rice and beans on the side , it was delicious. I would order that same meal again .The cucumber drink was refreshing as well. The cooks did a great job with the food! Highly recommend this spot .

Google
Crispy pork belly bites came with corn tortillas; together with their sauces they were the bomb. We all loved it. I am not chilaquiles fan but love a good ribeye so I broke down and splurged on the ribeye chilaquiles. It was huge, enough for 2-3 people. It came with both red and green sauce, creamy refried beans, potatoes and a huge steak. I loved that the tortilla chips weren't all mushy even with the tasty sauces. We were celebrating a birthday so they added a sparkly candle to our cake and ice-cream order. My friends shared a Clandestino sampler platter and the birthday girl had a shrimp cocktail.Everyone is looking forward to our next visit.

Google
The food was delicious. The tacos had good quality meat and the cajun fries were delicious. On Thursday evening, there was no wait and the happy hour prices are very good. The margaritas are huge and also tasty.

Alejandra V.

Yelp
This is my third time coming here, the food is delicious, they have beautiful plates and drinks presentation, the staff is very kind and attentive, all the time our waiters are amazing, didn't ask for their names before but this time around Isabell was very attentive. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor area which makes it easy to feel comfortable.

Yelp
Ribeye Chilaquiles are top-notch! Will get busy on weekends for large parties so reserve ahead of time. Overall a nice brunch experience!

Lupe R.

Yelp
We were there for dinner. The food was great, as well as the service and ambiance. The only complaint was that the AC was up too high and our food got cold while we were eating. We were a party of 15, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Will definitely go back to try their breakfast menu.

Yelp
Wow such amazing food and great service! My friend and I came on a weekday for brunch. We were immediately greeted by the host and seated since it wasn't too busy. We ordered the ribeye chilaquiles, which was a huge portion. The server recommended this dish to share and wow it didn't disappoint! 10/10! It came with crispy chips, eggs, well seasoned ribeye steak, and 4 sauces (green, red, orange, and chimichurri). The sauces tasted housemade too. Also came with a side of potatoes and beans. We also ordered the cucumber agua fresca and cucumber lemonade. It was so refreshing and perfect. It's a huge glass as well! The service was great, they're friendly and the server seems knowledgeable about the menu items! I will definitely be back :)

Yelp
When you walk in this spot, feels like you might've seen it on a foodie influencer's post. Modern vibes for sure. There's a ton of art on the wall, the kind you post selfies with. But I wasn't there for that. We were there for the actual food and the reviews did not disappoint. There's seating inside and out but we decided to stick to the indoor seating since it was in the 90s. I melt pretty easily. It didn't look to busy either on Saturday early afternoon. We were sat immediately. They do play some louder than normal music so don't expect something too quiet and relaxing here. Still good vibes for sure! We decided to share the Rib Eye Chilaquiles. The tables around us had ordered the entree and it looked gigantic and a decent size for two. The meat was cooked as requested, medium rare, and it was the most tastiest meat ever. So juicy. The green chilaquile sauce was amazing and I loved how the tortilla chips stayed crunchy till the end. The dish comes with a side of home fries and beans. We couldn't finish this at all. We were glad we hadn't ordered an appetizer either. We were left fully satisfied and content. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area. Service was pretty decent as well.

Yelp
To be honest, it's so hard to find a place that has massive portions with an affordable price. Not only that, the food was actually really good. Me and my team sat outside since it was a nice day. The ambiance was nice & our server was sweet & very patient with us.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good spot that seamlessly blends warm hospitality, good food, with a casual but lively ambiance, look no further than Clandestino Gastro-Bar The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive that set the tone for a great dinning experience. It was our first time and our server was nice enough to go over the menu that just added another layer of enjoyment to our afternoon. Now let's talk about the heart s soul of Clandestine, the food. The menu boasts of an array of new American and modern Mexican cuisine that transported our tastebuds to various levels. Each dish we ordered was culinary masterpiece with a perfect blend of textures adv flavors that showcased management's commitment to quality and authenticity. In conclusion, Clandestino Gastro- Bar succeeded our expectations not by only satisfying our palates but created a long lasting impression is a great dinning experience.

Yelp
The service was great! We started with Jasmine, who then switched us to Marilyn and they were both very attentive, friendly, and informative. All the food was great! I had Huevos Rancheros, my mom had an Omelette and my brother had Pancakes. We shared some chips and guacamole too. The guacamole was a bit bland for our taste, but that was the only food item that wasn't outstanding. The salsas were very tasty, and so was my Michelada. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Great brunch spot! We've been here a few times with family, and it never disappoints. Prices are reasonable, especially given the large portions and great quality. They're known for their chilaquiles--red, green, or creamy chipotle. We've had the ribeye chilaquiles and breakfast molcajete--both excellent and perfect for sharing (easily feeds 2-4 people). The molcajete is ideal if you want a variety of proteins--steak, chicken, sausage, and bacon--plus eggs, beans, and potatoes. The ribeye chilaquiles are great if you just want steak. Drinks are also a highlight: cafe de olla, aguas frescas, michelada and mimosa flights, and a solid horchata cold brew. The only downside is the wait--arrive before 10am if you can. Otherwise, expect a 30-45 minute wait (longer during weekend brunch or with larger parties). Totally worth it, though! The service is fantastic--attentive and friendly. I wish more places had staff like Clandestino. Parking is shared with a market, and there's also street parking. Great place to relax with friends and family!
google avatar

Adriana G.

Yelp
Service is great! The ambiance is great but the flavor of the food is not flavorful. The Shirmp cocktail was very plain in flavor the guacamole was just basic and not flavorful. This is just my experience but I will give them another try and see if I will edit my review. This spot is more about ambiance than food! If you looking for a Mexican spot with authentic flavor this is NOT the spot. Go to Max's down the street for authentic flavor.

Yelp
Saw this place on Instagram. Pretty plain looking building on the outside, explains why we've always passed by and never noticed it. Inside was decorated nice. Food was really good. Hubby and I shared the Carne Asada Chilaquiles. Street tacos were big, and the loaded Carne Asada fries were good for one person as a meal. Nice friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
If I could rate this a 0 I would. The staff on the day I came were rude and not friendly, which is weird because I saw them be friendly to other people. I don't know if I have to look a certain way to receive that service but it's very distasteful. Suzie was one of them. I came from seeing TikTok's about it but it did not live up to the hype. I will not be back and I'll be telling my friends and family not to come either. Such a let down.

Yelp
Stopped by on Sunday, 03/16/25 during lunch time! My first time at this place with a very special person. I put my name down for a table of 2 and the wait time was around 40-45 minutes which seems like a very long time however time flew by quick! I didn't receive a text message regarding my table status after around 40 minutes so we decided to walk back and inquire about our reservation. Unfortunately their system was down. We weren't the only ones who were waiting. 2 ladies were also waiting and were seated in a 4-seating table. They overheard our concerns and were generous enough to split the table. We ordered the following: - 1 guayaba maragarita = $12 - 1 negtra modelo = $7 - 1 shrimp lollipops (5) = $20 - 1 breakfast burrito = $19 - 1 chilaquiles omlet = $18 ** paid by my very special person ** :') Overall I had a great time dining here. The music choice was super duper lit! This will forever be a special place for me and my person. :)

Yelp
Right when you walk in, this restaurant has a very IG-esk vibe. You have a cute greenery wall with signs to take pictures with. The dining area is a little tighter than I would have expected when looking from the outside in. There is indoor and outdoor dining available, but we waited about 40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon and were lucky to get sat inside. Our server was great, and we started off with the shooters flight. We had the mexican candy, tamarindo, and mango chamoy. By far, the mango was my favorite. For our entre we shared a molcajete. It was definitely big enough for 2 to share. Came out piping hot and all the meat was tender. Overall, the service and food were good. Drinks were pricey but that's anywhere you go now. Would come back again.

Yelp
Driving from LB we thought we would try this featured restaurant from an IG reel. Don't pay attention to the waitlist or reservations... we drove there on Sunday at 10:30, we were seated right away. I do have to say the staff was instantly taking your drink order and supplying you with your food! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Chilaquiles with two extra eggs and the steak was cooked medium rare perfection. We were excited to order the six margarita flight and found that it was nicely flavored, but seemed like it was more of a sugar concentrate added than an actual Juice. They do have outside seating with heaters. I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely like to try some other dishes on the menu. Thank you for great service and delicious food.

Yelp
Clandestino, is a nice little hidden restaurant tucked away into the city of Azusa. This restaurant is very popular with the Latin ambiance and extravagant interior they carry. My family and I went early in the morning during the weekend and beat the brunch rush perfectly which typically starts around 10 Id say. Food wise the pancakes were good, I believe the raspberry compote, fresh berrys and whip cream is what really made it stand out. Chilaquiles on the other hand, were just okay nothing too special to make them stand out. A side of beans, potatoes, and choice of protein. (This is what they are known for by the way) Drinks were refreshing. In the photos I have a Bloody Mary and the margarita flight. Bloody Mary was mixed well with a good base. All of the margaritas were refreshing but a bit sweet, barely tasting the alcohol & mostly the other stuff that is mixed into it. You are also unable to choose which type of margaritas to go into the flight as it comes preset I assume? which I thought was a bummer. Overall I see clandestino as one of those instagrammable places, food isn't the best but presentation is. If that what you care about then this place is for you!
google avatar

Noemi C.

Yelp
I had a terrible experience at Clandestino. We had a party of 7 and waited 2.5 hours to be seated. During that time, we watched multiple parties come in after us and get seated before us. When we brought this to the manager's attention, they assured us they would "take care of it," but we still waited another 30 minutes--and nothing was done to make up for the inconvenience. 2.5 hours of waiting is unacceptable, especially when other guests are seated quickly and no effort is made to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, this experience has completely ruined any desire to return.
google avatar

Kathy S.

Yelp
Come hungry because portions are huge! Nice hidden little gem in Azusa where you can find some yummy Mexican food with a little sushi twist. Drink options and service were great as well. Check out what we tried in the photos.

Tina D.

Yelp
This place is a must to stop by if you are in the San Gabriel Valley! My husband and I popped in for a late lunch around 4:30 pm and were able to be seated right away. We ordered their Waygu Beef Slider's (sorry no photo) and Parmesan Truffle fries both were delicious. My husband ordered a Pacifico(nice & cold!) and I ordered their Truly Fish Bowl. Come early for easy sitting as they do get packed especially on weekends.
google avatar

Mariana G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I usually assume that places with a large variety of tasty drinks won't have equally good food, but this place is an exception. The food was excellent! I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which came with both green and red sauce, along with rice and beans. The service was quick and friendly, but be prepared for about a 45 minute wait on weekends. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great Mexican meal!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been sleeping on this restaurant, but not anymore! I've always seen this when I search for brunch places but never looked further until this past weekend when my friends wanted to try it. Waitlist was closed early on a Saturday morning around 9:30 but luckily my friends lived closed by and got there a little before 10 and was seated immediately even without the whole party there! Kudos! First, parking lot is shared but people are always going in and out. Second, I loveee the vibe of the restaurant. When you walk in there are neon signs and high booth seatings and when you walk further in there is standard seating and patio. Service was attentive and had us in check frequently. Free chips and salsa to start. They were a hit and I kept going for one chip after another. Their margaritas were yummy with a nice balance of alchy and that tajin rim hit! That rim left no crumbs... or salt in this case lol. They also had cucumber lemonade which my friend ordered and it looked really refreshing! Their bar service was great! Moving on to food, we ordered their most known ribeye chilaquiles ($5 extra with added chipotle chilaquiles) which says serves 2, but easily feeds 3-4 along with appetizers. We got guac, the honey pork rib bites and French toast. All the items were good but wow the ribeye really was so juicy and tender. I didn't think they could nail it, but they did. Their rojo was on the spicier side so take extra caution if you do not handle spice. Overall, I would come here again for the vibes and food. People were coming in and out and they didn't rush diners as there was no time limit but the place had an ongoing waitlist, which shows it's a popular spot.
google avatar

Joy C.

Yelp
Definitely anticipate waiting for Sunday brunch but I went ahead before my friends and placed my name. The wait wasn't too bad, which was 20 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. After ordering, our food came out fast. Chilaquiles and Huevos rancheros did not disappoint. Thankfully they were able to do both red and green sauce for my chilaquiles. It was a great vibe inside the restaurant and love the outdoor sitting option.

Yelp
Clandestino Gastro Bar was a pleasant surprise! I didn't realize that I've lived so close to an amazing brunch spot and I'm glad that I got to try this place with my partner :) Our server was very kind and she even gave us some recommendations for us to try. For our apprenticed, she mentioned that the pork belly bites were quite popular and we went ahead and ordered them. They were so delicious and the bites just melted in our mouth!! Also the mimosa flight was amazing! I'm glad that they have a variety of different flavors because some brunch spots usually have only a few options. It was fun to try strawberry and blood orange that was reccomend by our server. I got the Clandestino breakfast and my partner got the chorizo breakfast burrito. I literally devoured my food in an instant. Everything was delicious and even taking a bite from my partner's burrito was really good! He enjoyed his meal and it definitely fills you up! Definitely coming back!

Peter P.

Yelp
My experience here was extremely disappointing. As a Black customer, I was ignored and not served while others around me were being taken care of. Suzy, the waitress, was especially unprofessional and dismissive. It was clear that I was not being treated fairly, and it left me feeling humiliated. On top of that, I saw a roach crawling underneath one of the tables, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and health standards. Between the discriminatory treatment and the lack of hygiene, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Kit T.

Yelp
After seeing this place popped out on my IG feed a couple of times, I decided to grab breakfast with my boyfriend. The restaurant is in the same plaza as Smart and Final and it can be really busy but we were able to find parking on the streets. We got here before the rush hour on Saturday and was seated immediately. The menu had a variety of food that was offer but we were debating between the rib eye chilaquiles and breakfast molcajete to share. At the end, we picked the rib eye chilquiles and it was so bomb. For the chilaquiles, we got 3 sauces, the red sauce, green sauce and chipotle. The chipotle sauce was my favorite of out of the 3. The chimichurri sauce paired so well with the steak. I was so full afterward and that one entrée was enough to feed 2-3 people. Our waitress was really helpful and friendly, she helped us decide on what to order and she was really attentive. I will definitely be coming back to try the breakfast Molcajete.
google avatar

Genevieve G.

Yelp
Excellent ordered the chilaquiles w meat soo good and drinks were good as well A lot of people waiting I don't like to wait but it's so good for friends family and a date. Prices totally reasonable! My friend thought the chef was hot so many reasons to go.
google avatar

Annie T.

Yelp
We came here for a little book club get together and it was the perfect place to do so. We sat outside and it was a little chilly that day but they have the heaters so it was perfect. Our server was so friendly, so nice and so funny. She made the whole dining experience even better. The food was pretty good too. I had the clandestino breakfast and I don't usually like anything sweet but the pancakes were amazing. Next time I wanna try the pork belly appetizer.

Yelp
This place is good if you want to have Mexican food, the service is really great. The staff is awesome. The food is all right.

Yelp
This place is magic. From beginning to end you are well taken care off. Service and the food options are excellent. The vibe is just positive. Every dish option just looks, smells and absolutely guaranteed tastes delicious. I am definitely coming back to try the breakfast molcajete.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
I stopped in after work on a weekday. It was slow and I was immediately seated. The margarita was good but the food was the star of the show. I wish there had been more people to know what the vibe is really like. I'll be back again someday to check it out when it's busier.

Yelp
Great brunch spot. Prices are a little on the high side, but the portions are very large and the taste and quality if very good. They are known for their chilaquiles - they have red, green, and creamy chipotle. I've tried their ribeye chilaquiles and their breakfast molcajete - both are excellent! But definitely too large for just one person - perfect to share between two people. Get the ribeye chilaquiles if you just want steak, but the molcajete is a better option if you want more variety of proteins - you get steak, chicken, sausage, and bacon. Plus, both options also come with eggs, beans and potatoes. They also offer lots of excellent drink options from cafe de olla, aguas frescas, and michelada and mimosa flights. Their horchata cold brew is also really good. The only knock on this place is the wait times. Expect at least a 45 minute wait especially during peak times like their weekend brunch hours and if you have a large group. But definitely worth the wait to try this place at least once. Will likely be back again, but will try during the week when there's not so much of a long wait.

Yelp
Clandestino Gastro-Bar definitely knows how to set the mood--chill vibes, stylish ambiance, and a solid playlist that makes it a great spot to unwind, especially if you're out with friends. The drinks are top-notch--well-crafted, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put thought into the cocktail menu, and it shows with every sip. The food is good, no doubt about it--fresh, flavorful, and nicely plated. That said, prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, but honestly, you're paying for the environment and experience, and it delivers on both fronts. Overall, it's a great place to grab a drink, hang out with a group, and enjoy a stylish night out. Would definitely come back--just maybe not on a tight budget!

Yelp
Nice, clean restaurant, lots of parking. Good customer service, food was ok, needed more flavor.

Yelp
4.5 Everything we ordered tasted great! ENCHILADAS verdes were super good. The FRENCH TOAST toast was delicious. The AGUACHILE had great flavor and spice. Not bland or bitter. The PORK BELLY appetizer was very sweet and tasty! Reminded me of a sweet pineapple glaze and you put together your own tacos. The clandestino BREAKFAST was alright. The bacon was overcooked dry and hard to chew. Everything else was good. The SUMMER SANGRIA was delicious. THE MARGARITA sampler flight was too small for the price and only the mango was yummy to order again. The other 2 pink flavors were just okay. Why not 5 starts then? It was due to speed of service. We were sat at the farthest corner of the room. Maybe that's why. But.... Drinks were ordered a couple minutes after seating but it took very long to receive and even longer for someone to return to order food and another long wait to get the food. When you're hungry this doesn't leave a good impression. There was also a long wait to get the check. Decor, cleanliness and music were very good. We would return and hopefully have a faster experience.

Yelp
This restaurant continues to grow in popularity and for good reasons! The menu is off the hook! Be prepared to wait if you go during your lunch hour or at dinner time. During the World Series, Dodger fans gathered to watch the games. On November 1st there was a good turnout to watch the LOS ANGELES DODGERS VICTORY PARADE. I ordered the special Blue Paloma cocktail. Brunch is served all day on Saturday and til 2pm on Sunday. Open 6 days a week (closed Monday), Happy Hour is on Tuesday through Thursday. Get on the Wait List via the Yelp app and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!!!

Yelp
The ambiance was equally impressive cozy yet elegant, with a perfect balance of lighting and background music. It's rare to find a place that gets every detail right but this one truly does.

Yelp
FIRST TIME. SUNDAY BRUNCH. I came as a walk in @11am and was told the wait will be an hour or so. We were about 37th in line. This place is busy! An hour passes by and nothing. 1.5 hours later, we were told we were next in line. A few minutes after that, we were called in and finally able to order. It is super nice inside, I loved all the greenery around. Our server was so great! We were ready to order since we looked at the menu as we waited (We asked the hostess for one to look over as we waited). The food and drinks came out within 20-25 minutes after we placed our order. We savored every sip and every bite! It was so delicious! We enjoyed everything we had. All in all, we were in an out within an hours time. I'd definitely come back to try out the items on the menu that our server advertised because they sounded so good! If it tasted as good as what we had, I can only imagine what that would be like! Be warned that the wait time is insane and expected it to be at least an hour and a half or more....that would be my only downside to this all. Luckily they have some chairs outside and across the way is AZUCANELA. They also had a duo singing songs and it was quite entertaining to the point that I wanted to go over there but our table was called. Next time I'll make sure to try out that place as we wait for that hour.

Yelp
Upon arriving, we were greeted immediately with plenty of staff and good service. We were just popping in for a few appetizers prior to going out to see a friends band play. I ordered a Cadillac and my wife ordered a meal, that was also delicious. My Cadillac was OK, for $24 they could've put a little bit more tequila but overall not the worst I've ever had . We also ordered guac and chips and unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of that, that also came with red salsa and green salsa. Both of the salsas were delicious . I don't understand why they serve something like this with so few chips, but when we asked for more, they graciously gave us more. The shrimp lollipops were out of this world . Overall good experience and I look forward to coming back and giving them an opportunity to earn a five star .

Yelp
I was put on to this place by my niece and nephew. Place did not disappoint. I know you will not find chilaquiles like mom makes but, you have to try these chilaquiles out, they are really delicious, with just the right amount of spice. The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium, and the eggs were just like my wife likes them. The side of refried beans and potatoes were also a great addition. Finally, the Clandestino sour was made to perfection and the traditional way, with egg whites. Our server Jose took great care of us as well. The place also has cool sayings and decor. Utilized the waitlist on Yelp and was able to time it perfectly and get right in.

Yelp
This spot is nice and on a Wednesday it's not too busy, we came here another night and it was packed we left because the wait was 45 min. The food is ok nothing really screaming a 45 min wait. We had the house nachos, and they were ok. 18 dollars and they charge you an additional &5.00 for the meat. The way the menu reads, it should be included and is you choose the up graded additional meat you pay. That is not the case. The steak was cooked very nicely, not over cooked at all. We also ate the Aquachilles, those were tasty, the shrimp was fresh and the cucumbers were crisp. I would have liked them thicker so I could actually use them as a chip. We ordered the margarita flight. The jalepeno cucumber, it was amazing, the mango chuamoy, and strawberry were also good, but not as refreshing.as the other two. The staff were extremely friendly and always kept our glasses of water full. The only issue I really had was the menu error and the description of what was going to be charged.

Yelp
" had to come check it out after passing by all the time. after being seated expect to wait an hour for food. Cocktails are nothing special and service was inattentive and lacking in all areas...I was seated close to the restroom and it smelled horrible the whole time. Over all bad experience I would never recommend this to anybody trying to enjoy their meal"

Yelp
What a charming restaurant! They offer outdoor seating with umbrellas and heat lamps for comfort. My waitress had a fantastic personality--she was funny, helpful, was always smiling. She communicated well when my meal took a bit longer to arrive, but it wasn't an issue at all. I ordered the ribeye steak, which does take some time to prepare, so be ready for that. I can't recall the name of the drink I had, but it was delicious and had a good kick to it. The guacamole is a must-try while you wait for your food; I enjoyed it with the accompanying salsa verde. I would definitely return, although I recommend avoiding busy nights, as the wait can be quite long. They even set up chairs outside the front door for added comfort while you wait!

Yelp
Thank you to our wonderful server Isabel and staff. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The food was amazing we had the Enchiladas Suizas, the rib eye with asparagus and Brussel sprouts on potato purée and it was amazing. Lastly the kiddo had the wagyu burger and she loved it. The drinks did not disappoint they were delicious yet strong. I love a good vibe but I'm a big foodie and I have to say I love this place more than Mr. Tempo or kalaveras.

Yelp
Clean, small restaurant. Very loud with no sound on TV (Dodger game was on), pretty pricey for the food and drink selection. We ordered the molcajete, very hard to hear waitress we ended up saying yes to the chile relleno special thinking it was included with the molcajete, waitress never mentioned additional charge, same when we ordered extra tortillas, which she completely forgot about them after walking by twice our table and signing happy birthday to the table next to us. We reminded her again and she never apologized or acknowledge she forgot about them, I would at-least figured she would of comped them since she forgot but nope, her response was " I don't make the prices " no accountability whatsoever from her. Molcajete was ok, chewy meat and no flavor. Wont be returning anytime soon bill for molcajete, chile relleno, 2 soft drinks $92.

Yelp
Will not be coming back! Ordered the ribeye and it was tough, chewy, and flavorless. Not to mention it was ice cold. Probably because the chef was liquored up, busy flirting with my teenage niece. Not to mention the wait staff was RUDE and unwelcoming! It took 40 minutes from the time we sat down just to order DRINKS! And we were nice about it, despite being hungry. Yet Suzy still approached us with an awful attitude. I understand it may have been busy, but that's no reason to treat people the way we were treated.
