There are also walking and cycling trails around the area, so it's a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Absolutely gorgeous view all around from this fountain. The fountain itself is fascinating, but you can also walk up to the shore and have an amazing view of the skyline. Definitely recommend visiting when the weather’s nice.

I visited the Clarence Buckingham Fountain today, and it was an incredible experience! It just reopened after winter, and I was lucky enough to be there for the first day. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a crowd gathered to watch the grand start. The fountain itself is a stunning sight, and the cool breeze made it even more enjoyable. If you’re in Chicago, this is a must-see!

It's a big fountain, that's for sure. If you are there in the morning, it seems to be when they turn the main fountain pressure to setting 10. It shoots high enough that you can see it from the field museum. If you like to people watch there sometimes is a princess there raking pictures.

It’s nice place to spend time. We reached there at noon. It was 😎 sunny 🙂 We spend 1-2 hour. We had fruits and took soon memories- photos. You can cross the back road and enjoy some time next to Michigan Lake. Nice view for photos. It was very cold - Date - 2025-05-26

The fountain is beautiful. I first saw it on Married With Children, and I always wanted to see it in person. It is large, and the cityscape makes a nice backdrop. It's also at a good location between Navy Pier and the museum area. The photos don't do it justice. Since it is large, there are plenty of good photo spots.
