Clark Street Bread - Review - Beverly Hills - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Lots of local mini-chains seem to be opening outposts in Beverly Hills recently, and Clark Street Bread is the latest to plant its flag. Expect the usual lineup of fine pastries and sandwiches as their other locations, plus a few specials like a weekend-only challah french toast. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

Due to living in the neighborhood we received a coupon for a free loaf of bread. We decided to go and get breakfast this morning with the pups. The restaurant was small but there was enough space to order and get what we needed. We sat outside with the dogs and our food came right away. I got the breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised. It was really good and hot! I wish there was a little bit of music playing outside to set the vibe but overall I was really impressed and will be back! Thank you!

This cafe sits where an Israeli restaurant used to be. The bakery is good - nice, fresh breads. But the lunch left a bit to be desired. I got the French herb omelette, but it was filled with too much black pepper, which overwhelmed the taste of anything else. It would also be nice if it came with a little side salad or something. The free water is a metal container, which is very trendy, but since it sits in the sun, the water was warm. However, they brought us ice, when we asked. I would go back for the bread, but not a meal.

So happy to see Clark Street come to BH! So much more relaxed than the Larchmont location and has a real charming neighborhood vibe to it. Pastries are excellent - vanilla bun, curry puff and the cream puff are favorites along with the seasonal saffron bun. We love Sarah and Emma who are always a treat to chat with whenever we go in! Highly recommend and hope this location will do well and stay around for a while.

One of the best Shakshuka places in LA and Beverly Hills. Also sell fresh bread.

Yelp
The staff here is very friendly and so helpful! I got help from Emma. I really enjoy coming here and getting feedback on the yummy pastries! The Swedish round cardamom donut is out of this world! I'm super excited about their sourdough bread and the strawberry rhubarb danish is too due for! Last week I also tried the matcha chocolate pastry! Wow wow wow!

Yelp
Dainty cafe with many pastry and coffee options. I always order their Lox Bagel and I love having the option of ordering it "loaded", which means adding fresh sprouts, dill, and cucumber -- DO IT lol. The one downside to this visit was that the bagel was extremely tough.. I'm assuming it wasn't freshly baked that day. The knife was struggling to cut through it which was a little annoying but the overall taste of the lox bagel was great so whatever. I also ordered their hibiscus tea which wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be but still delicious nonetheless. Ordering process is at the counter and food gets brought out to your provided table number. My partner and I arrived on a slow Saturday afternoon and everything we ordered arrived within 10 minutes or less. The overall size of the cafe is very small.. only 4 tables inside and a few outside so plan ahead. Parking didn't seem like an issue but it is on the smaller side -- it may be difficult to find a spot if it's busy!

Yelp
Moving from East LA, I was thrilled when I heard Clark Street Bakery was opening in Beverly Hills--finally, a neighborhood spot with serious pastry game. I popped in around 8AM for a cardamom bun and a cold brew, and let me tell you, it was a quiet little morning dream. No line, peaceful vibes, and that bun? Still warm, perfectly spiced, not too sweet--basically a hug in pastry form. Cold brew was solid, smooth with no weird sourness. This is exactly the kind of spot you want in your rotation. But now I've got a dilemma: mornings were already hard enough, and now I have to choose between Lodge and Clark St? Beverly Hills breakfast game just got way too competitive. Catch me power-walking between the two like it's a pastry triathlon. Big yes to this opening. Welcome to the neighborhood, Clark St!

Yelp
So happy to have a Clark Street in the Bev Hills neighborhood! This is my morning go-to spot before work. It's rare to find a place that serves great coffee + amazing pastries and bread (the curry puff is a MUST) around here so I was excited to see Clark St open. Also love the sweet staff who are always welcoming my dog and I with a smile. My new fav spot!

Yelp
I'm so so excited that this cafe opened up!!! There is used to be tarte tartin here and I was sooo sad when they closed. But now this brand new cafe opened! Ambient is nice and stuff there is very nice too. So far I only got their bread/pastries and coffee. Their regular drip coffee is so much better than Starbucks. I tried their olive focaccia and it was really good! And the other pastry that is swirly raisin one lol forgot the name which was very good too. I will definitely come back and try their food!

Yelp
I ordered a latte at this place, and was charged $6.48, but the menu listed it as $5.75. I only noticed after paying. When I asked, the cashier hesitated for a moment and then told me it included tax--but it wouldn't add up or was mentioned upfront. The experience left me feeling a bit misled.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to the breakfast burrito, but unfortunately it was disgusting. The potatoes were extremely tough, almost leathery in texture, and tasted old and dried out. I honestly didn't think it was possible to mess up potatoes this badly?? I could barely get through a couple bites without gagging. Never again!

Yelp
My first time visiting this cafe/restaurant was a wonderful experience. My son and I were welcomed and the staff was very warm and kind and offered recommendations after I asked. I ordered the Asian chicken salad and cold brew and both were great and arrived very quickly. The salad was a decent size even shareable. It was very fresh and the ginger dressing had a little kick to it which I really liked and a lot of chicken. Everything was clean and everything looked amazing! Looking forward to try some pastries, sandwich, and breakfast burrito next time! Also was so glad to see they offered a kids menu. Will be back!

Ronit L.

Yelp
For the hype of Clarke Street it was extremely disappointing. The kids grilled cheese were two pieces American cheese on toast not melted. The breakfast burrito the potatoes were raw and the onions uncooked. Coffee and pastries were adequate.

Sara S.

Yelp
They don't serve French toast on Sundays. Or any other day of the week except for Saturday. But besides that the food is good.

Yelp
Lovely little seed oil-free cafe/bakery that opened up in the neighborhood recently . Have gotten breakfast to go here several times, each time they've had my not on the menu order ready ultra quick which I appreciate. Coffee is on point as well n blows shitty Starbucks down the street away

Yelp
Run don't walk to this amazing place! Try the tuna melt. You'll be back again and again!

Yelp
A gentlemen came in promoting the business and he gave out these delicious cookies to sample (chocalate chip and oatmeal raisin) he asked to go check them out, give them a chance since they had just opened their business. Great welcome and kindness but most of all the cookies were excellent and to my satisfaction. I loved it and it was my favorite the oatmeal.

Yelp
This is my new favorite little spot. I've always wanted a coffee shop in my neighborhood that had great lattes and pastries and I'm so glad that Clark Street opened up. Tarte Tatin used to be my go to spot but since it closed I'm so happy that a spot opened up as amazing as Tarte was. It's bad for my wallet but my tummy is super happy ;) lollll
