Moving from East LA, I was thrilled when I heard Clark Street Bakery was opening in Beverly Hills--finally, a neighborhood spot with serious pastry game. I popped in around 8AM for a cardamom bun and a cold brew, and let me tell you, it was a quiet little morning dream. No line, peaceful vibes, and that bun? Still warm, perfectly spiced, not too sweet--basically a hug in pastry form. Cold brew was solid, smooth with no weird sourness.
This is exactly the kind of spot you want in your rotation. But now I've got a dilemma: mornings were already hard enough, and now I have to choose between Lodge and Clark St? Beverly Hills breakfast game just got way too competitive. Catch me power-walking between the two like it's a pastry triathlon.
