Something I had hope they would improve since they moved. My friends were celebrating EID and I wanted to pick up pasteries. The young woman (maybe 20) not so friendly. Seemed like we interrupted her. She kept wanting to stay in the back room.
The pastries were limited and looked stale. I picked up a few treats. Their baklava was awful and definitely not fresh. Mini macarons cookies were stale. We wanted to place a cake order in person but it has to be done online.
Cakes: their fruit tart cake: a classic favorite for my family. We always order a few during the holidays.
Speciality cakes: they are definitely creative and will work with you, so your cake is is done to your liking.
Basic cakes, simple cake order, it all depends on your level of sweetness. The icing Some might find it too rich or sweet. The cake: perfect. Very moist and not dense.
1 star mostly for their subpar customer service, which seems to happen on a continuous basis, and how management handles negative reviews, through messages and posting to Yelp reviews. A professional business owner doesn't not take the "reactive" approach, they go take "proactive approach.
Pastries: avoid . They are stale. Its evident that they dont make it daily, nor do they make enough. Baklava is just awful and definitely sits for a long time
Edit: tonight, I was messaged by Areen. Wrote a very lenghty negative response to my review. He claims my review is nasty? How when its just the truth based on my experience.
Its sad that some business owners cant accept constructive criticism. Instead, they will criticize the Yelper, instead of "owning" it. Pandemic or not, Yelpers should review as they seem fit. If you read, lower starred reviews, you see a pattern from staff. Its very sad, to see this. In the past, we had brought up to management but they are very sarcastic and rude.
Seems like this business owner needs to work on customer service like others have mentioned. I had to block this businesses owner from messaging me , any further. His continued lash outs towards me, shows he lacks professionalism. Just look at the response attached to my review. I hope no one has to experience this response because I gave my honest opinion.
