Classic Cake Bakery & Cafe

I love this bakery, have never had a bad experience with them. They have a good selection of sweet and savory delights. From cakes, macaroons, sandwiches to an array of gelatos of delicious flavours, they have it all. My go to from this place is the Entremet Strip and Strawberry shortcake. My favorite cakes are Chocolate Forest and Strawberry Shortcake. Its a must try. They have indoor seating arrangements as well and the staff is always very helpful and super friendly.

Classic cake made my daughter the very best birthday cake I could have asked for. I don’t live in Philadelphia and so I had to trust the reviews of others before placing my order. They made it super easy to place my order over the phone and it came out delicious and beautiful. Thanks again to Kristina for all your help!

We used Classic Cake bakery for our wedding cake and reception favors. They were fantastic! The cake was gorgeous as well as delicious, and the chocolate-covered pretzel favors were a hit with our guests. Kristina, Cheyenne, and the entire Classic Cake crew were knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and really excited to help us plan our special day. They also delivered the cake and favors to the venue, which was one less thing for us to worry about. We would recommend them to others, and use them again for other special events.

We went to a few places to taste cakes for our wedding, but we were instantly sold on Classic Cake. Kristina was very helpful and professional. They were very accommodating when it came to guest food allergies and allowed us to try a variety of desserts for these guests. Once we decided on flavors and design and paid for our cake there was nothing for us to worry about. Everything was delivered on time, and everything was exactly as we envisioned. I would recommend this place to everyone. All of our guests raved about the beauty, and taste of our cake. I can’t wait to order another cake!!

Short review: PROS -Kind people and owner -good quality food ( I only had croissant and scone, and croissant was BOSS) -Good prices -Good coffee CONS -not as much variety in pastries as I'd personally like -wish they had more breakfast options (though they are highly customizable and I have not tried ordering a platter - I think they would try to accommodate. But menu-wise, limited) Long review: It's nice to see a pastry shop more European styled. As a Portuguese descendant, we are very serious about our pastry shops. Yes, I do wish they had more of the pastries I am used to and not mostly cakes, croissants and bagels (at least in the pastry section), but the quality is definitely there. French croissants are very good and fresh. They are very accommodating, and although make a customized order might be difficult, they do try their best to accommodate you. Then there is the fact that they are very diverse have something for everyone - pastries, salads, etc (and CHOCOLATES). Their coffee is also really good. It is hard to find good espresso in the city, but I approve of theirs.

This place is bright and airy. It's a really pretty place. They also have a good variety of quality, fresh foods. I've eaten here for breakfast and for lunch. Both times the food was tasty. I've also tried their pastries and they taste homemade! It's important to note that they provide free coffee refills, even if you get iced coffee! That is a huge bonus, especially you you're hanging out for a few hours. They also have a nice big section in the hall with tables and chairs (in addition to the tables and chairs inside the place).
