"Located in the downtown Minneapolis Skyway, this cash-only, counter-service bakery slings hundreds of cookies a day, in flavors ranging from the classic (sugar, chocolate chip, snickerdoodle) to the adventurous (raspberry white chocolate, oatmeal-coconut). For a breakfast meeting, pick up a few muffins from the rotating selection every morning: raspberry-oatmeal, blueberry, orange poppyseed, chocolate chunk, pear-ginger, cinammon streusel, and more." - Julie Zhou

$2 for one or $20 for a dozen - deal! Fresh baked and delicious. My favorites are the monster cookies and the cranberry white chocolate chunk.

SerpAPI
The VERY BEST cookies and muffins...and not just downtown. This place has been around for 30 plus years and there's good reason for that. I've never had a cookie or muffin that was not not outstanding (unless it just wasn't my thing but that's not their fault). The gentleman who owns the place is delightful and takes great pride in his products, as he should. I worked downtown 20 years ago and am back now and he is STILL delightful. The younger gentleman at the counter is also delightful, friendly and knows his stuff too. Anyone who says otherwise must be having a bad day or a bad attitude!

I'd heard about this place even before working downtown, and it's lived up to the hype. Awesome cookies, you'll want to get one of each. And in the morning they have muffins that will knock your socks off. I'm digging into a Raspberry one right now that's still warm from the oven. Everyone there is friendly, fun, and easy to talk to.

I have been here more than 5 times and have consistently experienced pleasant customer service. 'The muffin man' is personable and great to chat with. The muffins and cookies (any flavor) is worth the stop! Don't pass by without grabbing something for your walk.

Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cookies are not served warm. But they are delicious! Also as an FYI, they are actually open until 3:30 now!

For work birthday's we also grab a dozen cookies from Classic Cookie Co. We have not once been disappointed and you can tell that they are homemade and made with passion and pride. Will keep coming back. Also try their muffins, AMAZING!

Best cookies in the skyway. I've eaten a lot of cookies in my life, and some of his creations are the best. Chocolate chip walnut. Monster. Almond joy. Always friendly service, and the delicious cookies, are the reason he's been in business so long. On Friday afternoons the cookies go on sale at 3:30-4:00. 6 for $4 really can't be beat. Try it, you'll like it!

Didn't actually get anything here but staff was super friendly and cookies look good. Unfortunately they don't offer any vegan options. Please add some! Any type would be great - chocolate chip, peanut butter, ginger, macadamia, etc. Preferably don't make them also gluten free (as so many places tend to do to vegan cookies for no apparent reason).

Yelp
Was wandering through the skyway and saw a banner here that said celebrating 90 years! I asked if the store had been here 90 years and the man laughed, saying that he was 90 years old and working behind the counter for 40 years! How can you say no to that?! I picked up a 7-layer cookie and a pink frosted with sprinkles. I preferred the pink cookie, but supporting local business was the highlight of my trip!

Yelp
Phenomenal cookies! Went here yesterday afternoon for a cookie and it was one of the best cookies I've ever had! Boss served me and he is such a nice gentleman. Highly recommend giving Classic Cookie a try!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful cookies and customer service. The prices are very reasonable. Bonus: they take cash and credit!

Amy Shin S.

Yelp
I've had cookies all about town and these are definitely toward the top of the list. Every single flavor is amazing. They have a varied selection with some of the classics, some creative options. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing cookies! The almond sugar cookie is my all time favorite but the other cookies are all excellent as well.

Yelp
My favorite dessert place in Minneapolis, Cookie Classic! Their big homemade cookies are 2 dollars each. They offer a wide variety. I personally like cookies which are on the softer side and chewy. Their cookies are rather crispy but that's not to say they are awesome! I really enjoyed their chocolaye chips, sea salt, ans cranberry white chunck. The butterscotch and oatmeal cookies were also good. I cannot wait to go back here!

Lauren S.

Yelp
Great cookies for an awesome price. "Boss" the owner is beyond kind and pleasant. Please swing by next time you're in the Minneapolis Skyway.

Yelp
This place was so hidden! I I was referred by a hotel employee about this place, because he said it was a moment that we couldn't pass up on! I'm glad I listened to him!! The cookies are SOOO SOFT & CHEWY! I believe they were only $1.50/each. They also sell milk too!! I ended up deciding on the chocolate chip walnut and the white chocolate chip. I still dream about the chocolate chip walnut cookies!

Leigha S.

Yelp
Cookies are fabulous. I live the snickerdoodle. Muffins are warm in the morning just get there early if you want the chocolate chip, those go fast.

Anya S.

Yelp
$1.50 buys you happiness and about 800 calories. Wana pay more at some other bakery, go ahead, but this is my place for getting fat. In the morning they have muffins. Lots of muffins. My favorite is chocolate chip. They have a ton of other ones, and sometimes there is a line in the morning. Nothing will brighten up your morning at work like a freshly baked yummy raspberry oatmeal muffin. More of a blueberry guy, they got those too. I do have to say something they put way too much sugar on top, but it still works. I feel that these muffins are not only awesome, they are made with love. I cant really explain it, its just a feeling that I get. In the afternoon they have cookies. Delicious, round, chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar, whatever- your -heart -will -desire cookies. Its a cash only joint and they close at 3 pm so if you are working a long day and need some sugar, stop by. The people that work there are great. Once you become a regular they know your order and everything. Love it!!

Yelp
If it's as good as I remember from five years ago it's darn good. Cookies and the huge muffins in the morning.

Ben D.

Yelp
Don't wanna pay $3 for a cookie at Wuollet's?? Well I can't say that I don't blame ya, I'm all about finding a really good deal too! When I walked by here, I'll be completely honest... I almost didn't even give it a second glance. But that's when my nose took over and decided to give it another smell! The cookies here are perfectly large, perfectly priced, and they are the soft kind that melts in your mouth without giving you that doughy feeling of being undercooked! Someone put a lot of thought into this place, as well as the recipes! I must say, I will have to give this place another shot for a pastry!

Kimlinh B.

Yelp
I love cookies, but they have to be done right: soft, chewy, but not raw in the middle, lightly golden brown, lots of chocolate chips (or M&Ms). Most places don't do them right. The Classic Cookie Company does. $1.50 for my chocolate chip cookie fix, and it's so conveniently located in the Minneapolis Skyway system on 2nd Avenue between 4th and 4rd Streets on a corridor loaded with food options. I'm a happy cookie camper today. Further testament to their cookie greatness: I was the only one buying a single cookie - everyone else in line was buying them by the dozen.

Yelp
We stopped here during a little downtown adventure with my 4-year old. The delicious peanut butter monster cookie got my kiddo to finish walking to our destination, and the worker was so kind to us! We really appreciated it. (I think he was a young man with curly hair.) Will definitely be back on our next adventure; thank you!

Nick M.

Yelp
Pretty good cookies from what looks like an independent shop. I kinda want to go back and try them again....

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Muffins in the morning are soooo good. And cookies in the afternoon as big as your head?! Yes, please. And every Friday starting at 3:00 all cookies and brownies are $1. Can't beat it! And the friendly guy behind the counter is just icing on the cookie.

Heather S.

Yelp
There is just no better cookie or muffin anywhere. And it's been that way for the 20 plus years I've known about this place. Big, soft, chewy cookies in as many varieties as you could possibly want. Muffins with crusty, overflowing tops (which we all know is the best part). And the owner...been running that place for 32 years and he's just the sweetest. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his product and he should!

A L.

Yelp
Cookies are good and fairly priced but the owner is a grump and doesn't acknowledge you. And don't even trying to pay by credit card. You'll be gruffly told "Cash only". I tried to purchase a dozen for a work event and ended up having to go to cash machine because I couldn't use my work credit card. They just lost some major future sales.

Amy P.

Yelp
When I first started working over this way I was stopping in almost daily. The goal was to try every cookie. I gave up on that when my waist began to expand but I have tried quite a few of them and nearly all of them were incredible. That's not to say they're not all good, one of them that I'm not very fond of is a favorite of my coworker's. The ginger is my personal fave. A little crisp around the edges with the most delightfully chewy middle. One of the guys at the counter there is quite a riot, always laughing and chatting with everyone who stops in. Even if I'm not stopping he'll always wave and ask how I am. That's my kind of cookie place!

Lisa E.

Yelp
Yay! We went to the cookie place in the skyway! The guy behind the cash register is soooooo happy and smily, it's nice to be served by such a friendly person. And the cookies are amazing! I had a pecan pie bar today and it was scrumptious!

John M.

Yelp
Place is bomb. You just can't go wrong with any purchase from here.

Dayo R.

Yelp
Love this place! I've gone to this place for over 10 yrs. I don't work downtown anymore so, I rarley get to go! But, anytime I am in downtown Minneapolis during the day...I'm there. Sourcream muffins or milk chocolate chip oatmeal cookies are a must!!!!
