Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in NYC 2024

"Classic Harbor Line offers cruises with Yacht Manhattan and Manhattan II, along with a Fourth of July sail aboard the Schooner Adirondack."

"What could be more romantic, nay picturesque, than a sunset cruise aboard a yacht? Classic Harbor Line offers a host of non-touristy options, including rides with live jazz and wine and cheese pairings. (Yes, you’ll still get to see the Statue of Liberty.)"

We had a fantastic time with Classic Harbor Lines! This was our second company outing with the company. Our first year we did a public tour- which was absolutely wonderful. This year, we upgraded to a private tour with food and drinks. Service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the boat itself was absolutely stunning! I can't say enough about Adam and the whole team at Classic Harbor Lines. They made the process easy, were flexible to changes, and the day-of experience was so enjoyable. Looking forward to sailing with you again!

Sunset Cocktail Cruise: A Perfect Evening on the Water This cruise is a must-do for anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing experience in New York City. The boat, a classic 1950s yacht, is stunning and impeccably maintained, creating a truly elegant ambiance. The ride is incredibly comfortable, making it easy to sit back and enjoy the spectacular views. The complimentary cocktail is a nice touch, and the scenery is simply breathtaking. You get an up-close look at the Statue of Liberty and glide under the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, all while taking in the stunning golden-hour sunset. The views of the NYC waterfront are unforgettable and make for the perfect photo opportunity. Highly recommended for a romantic evening or a special outing with friends.

We’ve had the pleasure of sailing on the Sunset Cruise aboard the Schooner a few summers ago, enjoyed the Hot Cocoa Cruise this past Christmas, and just recently experienced All Around Manhattan Brunch on the Manhattan, and it absolutely blew us away. I’d do it again and again. The weather this past Sunday was perfect, but what truly made it special was the semi-private feel of the experience. It felt like chartering a boat because you get your own space to relax with family, no crowds, just comfort. The boat was spotless and the crew was warm and welcoming. Donna made sure our family was taken care of, taking pictures and recommending how to make the most of the 3-hour cruise. The food and drinks were all readily available. Jack announced that “we help create magical moments and unforgettable memories here” and he wasn’t kidding. During our cruise, there were a couple of milestone birthdays being celebrated and even a wedding proposal! It truly felt like we were part of something special.

I had a lovely time on the City Lights cruise at 9:30 pm. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and even offered to take pictures of us. I was able to get the photos I was hoping for, it was a beautiful night to be on the water, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. It made my second solo trip to NYC even more memorable ❤️❤️

We had a wonderful experience aboard Manhattan II. We booked an evening jazz cruise but unfortunately there was some sort of confusion and we were boarded in another boat with no jazz band. The crew took care of us immediately, apologized, invited us to drinks and refunded the whole amount of the tickets in a matter of minutes. The quality of the service is incomparable and it's worth every cent. We would like to thank Chris and Fernanda for being so kind and taking care of us during the whole trip. The cruise was fantastic.

Google
We did the sightseeing and statutes cruise, it was perfect! We loved the yacht, it was gorgeous and classy inside. We had our 10 and 12 year old with us and they loved the bow of the boat. You can move freely between the outside deck and indoor area. This boat did not seem crowded at all and was a much more personable and relaxed experience. I had trouble deciding on what cruise line to go with but I am so glad I chose Harbor Line, it was the best choice, I highly recommended.

Google
Wonderful experience!!!! I am a New Yorker and is my go-to activity for out of town guests. It’s fun and informative for visitors and also enjoyable for locals. The boats are gorgeous - I have been on several of them and have always been impressed. Manhattan II is a favorite. The crew is always delightful and the food & beverage options are excellent. I highly recommend this company and will return again and again!!!

Google
Took an architecture tour that circumnavigated Manhattan Island and it was super cool. Got to see all the bridges and Columbia University from the water. The tour came with a little bubbly and a snack, with more for purchase. The boat was an antique and beautiful.

Yelp
I take every visitor who comes to see me on one of these boats (literally 5+ times I think). It's one of the most amazing ways to showcase NYC to out-of-town friends and family. The service is consistently excellent, and you really get your money's worth since the ticket includes your first drink. The views are absolutely breathtaking--there's truly nothing not to love. My favorite part of these boat trips has been Andrew. He is a star, a true gem, and one of the main reasons I enjoy these excursions so much. I wish there were a way to know who the host of the boat will be because I would book with him exclusively. Pro Tip: Be sure to time your booking for sunset--you will NOT regret it!

Yelp
We just returned from the most magical holiday experience - the Classic Harbor Line Cruise's Cocoa and Carols Tour in NYC! Such a wonderful way to spend New Year's Day with my family. From start to finish, this cruise exceeded expectations in every way. Loved the narration by our captain, Levi! :) Importantly, the intimacy of the cruise was a major plus. Unlike other crowded and chaotic holiday cruises, this one felt cozy and relaxed. We had ample space to move around, take in the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Also a shout out to the beautiful yacht! The Cocoa and Carols theme was also perfectly executed. We sipped on rich, spiked hot cocoa and sang along to classic holiday tunes, all while taking in the breathtaking views of the skyline. The staff were friendly, attentive, and added to the overall warmth and hospitality of the experience. The cruise itself was smooth and comfortable, with plenty of opportunities to take in the sights and snap photos - stopping briefly at the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn bridge. Overall, I highly recommend the Classic Harbor Line Cruise's Cocoa and Carols Tour to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable holiday experience in NYC. It's a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit, and I couldn't be more impressed. Can't wait to book another tour with them again soon!

Yelp
This past June, I did an architecture boat tour with Wendella's on the Chicago river, and was just amazed by the unique perspective of seeing Chicago from the water, as well as learning the rich history of the city by way of its architecture. When my partner & I were planning our recent trip to New York, we wanted to get on the water, but I assumed we'd take Hornblower or Circle Line tour... until we found Classic Harbor Line's architecture tour! Hosted and narrated by a member of the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter, we knew we were in for an informative time. The Manhattan is a beautiful 80-foot, 1920s-style yacht that offers a much more intimate excursion than the other cruise lines. We had an assigned table, akin to a small restaurant booth, and each ticket comes with a beverage of choice. We opted to upgrade to the beverage package, which included a total of 3 drinks. Boat tours & champagne go hand in hand! The architecture tour is a "quiet cruise", which means this is not the one to pick if you and your girlies are looking to gab the whole time. One of their holiday or sightseeing tours may be better suited for that. As a fully narrated tour, they request conversations be taken outside on the deck... and it was cold out there! I appreciated this, since we signed up for this tour to hear what our guide had to share. At one point, our table neighbors began to get chatty, and they were quickly reminded of which cruise they were on. Three hours flew by as we circumnavigated Manhattan in style, and it was the perfect way to start our first full day in the city!

Yelp
We've sailed on this line 3 times in one year. The first was on one of their sailboats, America 2.0. The 2nd and 3rd times were on our wedding day and anniversry, respectively. All 3 times we were treated to a beautiful tour of the island with wonderful, friendly service. I honestly can't think of a single thing to complain about. Whether you're new in town or just looking for a relaxing weekend activity, I'd definitely recommend sailing on one of Classic Harbor's boats. Don't forget the sunscreen, if you're fair-skinned like me!

Yelp
Awesome experience.. the boat was very comfy and the staff was amazing. Loved the tour.. very interesting and worth every penny.

Yelp
The crew were really great! Stay warm and book this tour of the Hudson. You won't regret it. We loved going at sunset! I highly recommend this company.

Yelp
Yuri and Jakob were amazing!!! They accommodated everything we needed for our 15 friends. The boat was beautiful and their service was phenomenal!

Yelp
Wish I wasn't giving such a low score because staff was amazing and overall we had a lovely time ! But there are some things we really didn't like/were aware of. 1. The boat we were on was not the one on the photos with the green booths to the side. We were on a much larger boat with A LOT of other people and our seats were just regular tables/chairs. 2. We were sharing our table with another family. This was not mentioned ANYWHERE in our reservation. This really upset me because the way that they word their tickets is that you pay more for 2-3 people because "A premium for smaller bookings due to the defined private seating spaces," yet our table was NOT private. 3. I know the weather is out of their control, however, this is a sightseeing cruise, if its foggy outside and we aren't able to see the sights, then we aren't seeing anything ! Additionally, the top deck was closed because it was slippery/raining. It would have been nice if they would have offered to reschedule our cruise for a better day. Their email confirmation does say it is a rain or shine event so I guess I'll give them that, but I honestly think offering to rebook for foggy/rainy days when you know your customers wont be able to see anything from the boat is the right thing to do! I had a white cosmo and it was really good, the bartender was amazing! My partner had a "spiked" cocoa, but we didn't really taste any of the baileys. We ordered the cheese tray and it was really good as well, our baby really enjoyed it, a bit overpriced for three cheeses but whatever. Cookies were good too, and they brought a cake out for my partner's birthday, the buttercream was delicious ! But the cake itself was dry. We might give this another try in the spring/summertime see if its any better. So far we left with a sour taste in our mouth.

Yelp
Outstanding views & service! 10/10. Indoor & outdoor seating, so don't worry about the weather. Don't miss out!

Yelp
Just exited this brunch cruise and I have to say it was so good. The crew was amazing and accommodating. The weather was too foggy but we still had a great time on the tour. Highly recommend.

Laura V.

Yelp
Absolutely love this tour. My second time! It is the most amazing way to see all of New York and learn about its architecture, but also the ways the infrastructure and natural strengths and weaknesses contribute to the beauty and the economy of the city.

Yelp
Did the Sunset Sparkling Wine tour. Fantastic experience. A must do if you're visiting. They took us out on the Hudson River where we got a fabulous view of the famed Manhattan skyline and NYC in general. Once we got near the Statue of Liberty, they slowed down and allowed everyone to do photo ops. We got 2 wines per ticket then it's open bar. The ride is a little bumpy in the beginning but once the boat accelerated, it became smoother. It's a little pricier than some of the other tour boats but you're not packed in like sardines. In fact you get your own table like in a dining room. Once the boat got moving, they allowed us to walk and cruise outside in the bow. Which was really fun! Ladies, just make sure you dress appropriately for windy conditions. I saw one young lady in a nightcluby dress and she spent most of her time holding it down. The golden hour lighting during the sunset tour was perfect for photos. Especially when it shimmered and reflected off the tall glass buildings. The crew was great! They walked around, answered questions helped us with photos . Of course we left them a nice tip. Would do this tour again in a New York heartbeat on our next visit! Happy Traveling!

Yelp
Statue & Skyline Sightseeing Cruise Diaster We booked our tour for October 20th for 4:45pm on the Manhattan to celebrate our Honeymoon. We were so excited to book this beautiful boat tour as we have seen so many good reviews. But unfortunately our experience was not what we had hoped for. We were one of the first three tables seated on the boat. Our first round of drinks were complimentary and the server went around taking orders. The server (representing the majority) completely overlooked my husband and I. He took the orders of the large family sharing the table with us, then proceeded to take orders from the other large parties on the other side of the boat. I looked around and saw that my husband and I to be the last people served on the boat and to mention TWO of the three people of color clients on the boat. TWO servers passed our table, OVERLOOKED us, thought they had completed all orders so I had to say "excuse me, but we did not order yet". I felt as if we were treated like second class citizens. No one paid attention to us and proceeded to serve all of the other big parties around us. We had paid the same amount for our table as the people around us. Why were we treated any differently? As a server in the past we'd serve smaller parties to get them out of the way. I was clearly upset, different staff had offered us 5 times with complimentary drinks. I decided to not to take any of the offered drinks. I spent much of the time clearly upset and decided to sit outside instead of at our table. Our honeymoon boat tour turned into micro aggressions. My husband tried to make the best of it, but no complimentary drink could make up for the feeling of not even being seen. I'd advise the company to train their staff on implicit bias. Thank you to one staff member who made sure we were okay. We didn't get his name but he was POC himself.

Yelp
Oh Wowie wow! Loved our time on architecture boat tours. We had Doug as our amazing truth teller about building and other fascinating facts and other stuff. He made our experience interesting and lively! Thanks! Also, a big shout out to captain diana. She got us home safe. The drinks passed around and made, were done well.

Yelp
Had a great time! It is nice and comfortable inside the boat. Seeing all the building in different parts of the city and the Statue of Liberty up close was really cool! Enjoyed the refreshments and Christmas decor and music!

Yelp
Did the architecture tour, which circumnavigates the entire island of Manhattan. This was a wonderfully informative cruise, with a professional, certified architect narrating the entire way. Do note that this is not a cruise for conversation, because people will be listening to the information throughout the 2.75-hour cruise. Due to navigating conditions, we went clockwise around the island rather than counter-clockwise as they normally do, so we went north up the Hudson, across the Harlem River and then down the East River to the Battery, before coming back up the Hudson to the Chelsea Pier where the tours depart. The narration is fascinating and thorough and the cruise is paced so that there is no time to get bored before the next landmark or interesting tidbit comes up. Once we got to the Battery, the yacht took us out very close to the Statue of Liberty for some great photo opportunities. We did the mimosa package, which was a nice and reasonably-priced add-on. The staff were all highly professional and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to take another journey with this operation.

Yelp
Highlight of my family trip. I don't know what it is about it but it was really relaxing. The food was okay for buffet food but the view and time spent on the boat was spectacular

Yelp
Group of 6, very fun trip, no sea sickness (boat didn't rock much), good food/drinks and friendly staff. We had an assigned table that was comfortable with plenty of room and a window we could open/close - was very relaxing on a Monday afternoon

Yelp
Fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic! Great views. Wonderful for photos! Good food: one drink included, fruit plate, pastries, toppings for bagel plate with assortment of bagels, veggie frittata served with chicken sausage and a salad. Anndd if you want a cookie plate. You'll be happily stuffed! Service was excellent-- tip them well! This was the perfect activity for a beautiful day over Memorial Day weekend. Would definitely do this again!

Yelp
My wife and I just disembarked from an awesome Classic Harbor Line cruise aboard the Full Moon yacht to see the fall colors along the Palisades. Sarah proved to be a knowledgeable, skilled, personable Captain, ably assisted by Sean, her First Mate. Blessed with a beautiful, sunny day, Captain Sarah sailed us upstream to a point beyond the George Washington Bridge and beneath the colorful Palisades, while pointing out interesting landmarks. Pauses in her narration allowed for quiet conversation. Sean made sure all the guests were comfortable, distributing blankets to those who were chilly and drinks to the thirsty, all with a smile. The Full Moon is a beautiful boat with comfortable seating inside and out, and good sight lines in all directions. Check in was a breeze. Lots of park bench seating along the pier. A five star experience all around! Do consider it!

Josafatt H.

Yelp
Well orchestrated operation! Easy to book online and quite easy to get to from Times Square in the subway, and quick walk to the piers. Tour began promptly. Crew members were very attentive and friendly. The tour was pleasant and got great photo opportunities by the Statue of Liberty, skyline, and Brooklyn bridge. Complimentary treats and first round of drinks. Even though the tour was fully booked, it didn't feel crowded and everyone got a chance to get some great pics. Inside is climate controlled which was great for weather today (very cold!). They had some good holiday music at reasonable levels so you could still hear each other. Bathroom facilities were clean as well! Overall great experience and glad we got to do it!
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
Got a great view of the Statue of Liberty and all of Manhattan island. This two hour boat ride gives a three course meal and drinks. It was fantastic. Crew is great! Five stars

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE Classic Harbor Line! I'm a New Yorker and once in a while I like to hop on one of their perfectly kept vessels just to leave the city for a couple of hours. It's always a calming and soul refreshing experience. The fact that you can have a glass of vino and snacks makes it all the more delightful. I'll be back very soon :)
google avatar

Myranda T.

Yelp
Great tour with good staff and great views. Really enjoyed and highly recommend. Food and drinks were also tasty and affordable.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time on the Full Moon for a Fall Foliage cruise yesterday. The captain and crew were friendly and helpful. The boat was roomy and clean and blankets were provided when it got chilly. We brought some snacks and had drinks from the bar. We were lucky to have a sunny clear day and there was still plenty of beautiful foliage.

I L.

Yelp
What a beautiful fall foliage cruise! Our Captain and first mate were fabulous! So much great narration and we were blessed with perfect weather! Thank you for such a memorable experience. We can't wait to do it again!!

McClain N.

Yelp
We did the sunset Christmas carol cruise and it was perfect! Very festive, not too cheesy, great views of the city. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
The crew was professional, friendly, and kind. I live in NYC but felt far away from daily life. Such a different perspective. Afterwards, you can walk around Chelsea Piers. I had to rebook and they were completely understanding. I would definitely return!

Brandi W.

Yelp
Everything about this experience was incredible! We traveled from CA to NY for Christmas and this was one of our favorites of the trip. Yuri had incredible customer service. Julia and the band were amazing! They kept us entertained, dancing and singing throughout the ride. 10/10 would recommend this family friendly experience.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Classic Harbor Line is a must-do when in NYC. My elderly parents were visiting the city for the first time and the crew made them (and me) feel so at ease. The crew were extremely friendly and informative on the architecture and history of the area. Cannot recommend this experience more!

Yelp
An Absolutely Fantastic Harbor Tour of New York The Whole Staff and Tour Guide were Exceptional!!!!!

Yelp
Don't miss this Sunset Sail around NYC! Perfect fall weather & they had some blankets for the chill after sunset. Gorgeous & charming sail boat with lovely crew. This is so classy it forces NYC natives to keep it classy. Bravo to the newest ship in the fleet & her amazing crew. We have also been on the Architecture tour boat with NYC Architect docent and I would highly recommend that one too!

Yelp
Was there for a dockside film screening of Windshipped. Was on Manhattan II. What a gorgeous boat! Encouraged to go for a cruise. Only reason I gave it Good but not Great is because we didn't travel. Lots of drinks available plus a lovely bathroom and much forward deckspace.

Mary J.

Yelp
Great sail boat tour! The crew was fantastic. Wine was good. If you have never seen NY from the water, I highly recommend !
google avatar

Lizzy N.

Yelp
Amazing!!! What a lovely experience! My hubby and I did the architecture tour as part of our anniversary weekend and it did not disappoint. The boat is BEAUTIFUL! Once boarded we had a lovely nook to ourselves. Your ticket includes a complimentary beverage. We purchased the mimosa bucket and a charcuterie plate, and seasoned olives. All great quality and fast. The staff was courteous, friendly, and efficient. The tour was great! Informative and quite interesting. The gentleman providing the tour was knowledgeable without being pretentious or stuffy, and it was a pleasure to hear the information about the landmarks. I highly recommend this tour and this company!

Yelp
A must if you're visiting New York! Classic Harbor Line made our trip super memorial and enjoyable. It's worth every penny! The staff were friendly and helpful. It was such a treat for us! The views were spectacular and the ride was so much fun! It was a great way to kick off our New York adventure.

Yelp
The ladies that took care of us on Classic Harbor Line were absolutely fantastic. They were kind, professional, and courteous in making sure we were constantly replenished on our drinks, taking quality photos of us, and overall taking care of us. When we told the staff it was me and my girlfriends birthdays this month, she provided us 2 desserts for each of us. We were stunned by the beautiful voyage that allowed us to see the stunning city that is New York and admire lady liberty from close up. Highly recommend this to locals and tourists alike to give this tour a chance - you won't be disappointed
google avatar

Chenda H.

Yelp
We've had the pleasure to cruise 3x on the Manhattan and Manhattan II so far. The evening jazz cruise is an annual date for us to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely love the Boat Band - we purchased a CD our first year and have been very patiently awaiting their second volume! Tickets come with a set of complimentary drinks and we always purchase additional drinks. I mean, how could you not with the fantastic views of the city?? The captain usually announces safety measures with jokes so it starts the trip with a smile. The staff is always friendly and answers any questions you have. I adjusted tickets once and did so with no problems over the phone. Our favorite part is always just resting against each other, drinking our drink and watching the band perform live, with the sun setting behind them. We also did get to experience their holiday cruise and it was just as spectacular - and with holiday cookies!

Michael G.

Yelp
The architectural sail tour by the Classic Harbor Lines with the Met museum guide was amazing. Great crew was welcoming. The yacht was very comfortable with the clean toilets, drinks and snacks. The trip took us around Manhattan island with all the amazing building being pointed out by the guide. Live narration was very interesting. We learned a lot. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Capt. Yuri and Grant are amazing! What a team!! Yuri fed us great info of sights and pointed out sights I'm not familiar with. He positioned the ship in a perfectly.

Yelp
We REALLY enjoyed our time here. I did not know what to expect at first, but this sail was smooth, fun, and loaded with drinks! Suzanne (hope I spelled that right) went above and beyond working the boat plus keeping us happy and beerd up! Thank you, and we would 100% do this again the views were incredible. Suzanne is a keeper and deserves a raise. Mason

Yelp
Great cruise with amazing views of the city, Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn Bridge. Very intimate setting on the boat. Loved it!
