Went out for lunch, ordered 20' pepperoni half sausage, onions, and mushrooms. Ordered garlic knots to go. The pizza was delicious, and the garlic knots were pretty good as well. and I loved the nostalgic decor and the arcade games.

I think this is the best slice in the downtown Milwaukee area! Straightforward, quality ingredients, and the best crust! I had the specialty slice, Square Sicilian, topped with spicy sausage and fresh basil. The crust was soft and light on the inside but crispy, toasty perfection on the outside! I loved the place so much that I made a note of all the details, specials every day, lunch and dinner. The rest of the menu looked incredible too. The place is clean, with big windows, fun to sit inside surrounded by old school arcade games. I played a round of Centipede and then guess what I found on my wall at home: a damn centipede. What?? But that's beside the point. Go get yourself a great slice here!!

Classic Slice was SO GOOD! We ordered a small gluten free pizza (Baconizer), a large Forbidden Zone, and a ciabatta sandwich, and loved every bit of all of them. We would definitely recommend and will come back in the future.

Google
When we walked in there was no one for a little bit which was very calming. But the staff was so friendly, we ate in so the young man who delivered the pizza to our table was smiling. He did that with every customer. The food tastes so fresh! I had the small cesar salad with the spinach feta breadstix.

Pizza is a favorite of everyone in my family, including me, and we have really enjoyed our choices thus far from Classic Slice. And we are excited to try more options in the future. Thank you so much to everyone at Classic Slice for all the work and care you put into making very tasty food and pizza!

Google
If you’re looking for a NYC slice of pizza, you’ve stumbled onto the perfect spot in Wisconsin. Always fresh and delicious! FYI, they do a great Detroit style pizza as well! At little on the pricey side, but a great pizza spot.

Google
Best restaurant we went to in Milwaukee! So good we went two nights in a row. Probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Crust was phenomenal. Topping range from the traditional to the unique and hip.

Google
The pizza here is just phenomenal! We travel almost an hour for this place because it’s that good. It’s my favorite pizza place in the whole Milwaukee area. I see some reviewers saying theirs was burnt, but judging by the photos they’ve shared, I’m pretty sure they’re just used to national chain pizza rather than fresh, real pizza like Classic Slice. Those little crispy charred bits and bubbles are gold! My family’s vegetarian with stints of veganism, and there’s something for everyone here. The pesto pizza is wonderful, something about the pine nuts is just amazing. I think it’s how fresh they are? They’re so flavorful. I just had their “400” pizza for the first time, and it is possibly my new favorite thing on this earth 😅

Yelp
Ordered the golden beet salad, very yummy and pretty filling. Also got the square Sicilian slice and it was so good! Wait time wasn't bad either

Yelp
Great pizza for vegans and vegetarians! This local Milwaukee neighborhood spot is a great place to grab a slice or a whole pizza. We stopped in and I was thrilled to see the vegan toppings offered which included soy cheese, vegan Italian sausage crumble and a huge vegetable selection! The restaurant is casual, offers wooden long tables, 4 top tables and window bar stool seating. The prices were reasonable and the pizza was thin and crispy and served hot. I would recommend Classic pizza for a quick lunch, dinner or to take a pie home for friends and family. They also serve salads which looked tasty. Street parking is available just outside of the restaurant.

Yelp
Tried classic slice for the first time and it was pretty good! It was a great thin crust slice and they had plenty of options to choose from. I got my slice to go however they did have seating inside for dining in. While the pizza was good, it didn't have as much flavor as I would hope for. Additionally, it was a little expensive as this slice came in $9 for one slice. The slice was pretty big though. Not a top pizza place for me in Milwaukee but would recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
Recently wandered into Classic Slice again and had to update! It's pretty much a pizza by the slice kinda place but you may not immediately realize this as there's not the typical case of visible pizza to choose from that's standard in most pizza by the slice spots. The good news is they make your slice fresh! The other good news is they have Detroit style pizza available. For the Detroit style, you'll order a full pizza (not a slice). It's delish! We got the cheese and it was all cheesy (with a nice bit of sauce above and below the cheese!) deliciousness. I also ordered their avocado salad which comes with golden beets, avocado, greens, and pistachios--it was fresh and delicious. The service is really lovely. Dig Detroit style pizza? Get to it!

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing customer service. Late night hours. Delicious homemade ranch. Quick local delivery. I've never, ever had even a slightly bad experience here. Goooooo!

Yelp
Such a fun little spot in Bayview area! Lots of options on the menu so even my kiddos were happy! Slices as big as their heads! Food was made fresh so there was a bit of a wait which was perfect because we had time to play some of their old school games they have. For being busier place they still answered all my questions and were friendly. The outside area is cute and inviting as well!

Yelp
Classic Slice will always be my "home alone and scary movie night" dinner! The Shipee Ahoy is one of the most flavorful pizzas that have ever blessed my taste buds. I have ventured out a few times, but can't stop from going back to my favorite! Love their homemade ranch!! The service is great- always on time with deliveries and have never messed up my order! It's done right and delicious every time. It's a typical and cool neighbor pizza place- and also a great stop for a late night snack for all the pizza cravings.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down, best pizza in Milwaukee! Made fresh to order, with obvious love, don't skip this spot! Their garlic knots are so good it's almost sinful. From the hot handmade slices with all the toppings you could imagine, to the freshest burrata salad, nothing on this menu should be off limits. Great stop after any night out in Bay View. And the servers are always happy to see you. We'll be regulars for life at this one.

Yelp
Pizza was very greasy and cashier and expo people were downright rude. They had custom sodas (no Coke or Pepsi products) and the only hot sauce they had was sriracha. They had interesting appetizers that were good.

Lincoln O.

Yelp
Terrible service and pricing. $20 for 2 slices of pizza??? I thought it must be amazing pizza... nope. Very average. Took about 40 minutes for those 2 slices. All of the employees were moping around, no sense of urgency at all. Really pathetic service. Will never be back.
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
Visiting Wisconsin to do a little road trip around the state. We stopped here after landing to get a slice and they have whopping big slices!

Andy S.

Yelp
What the heck? How do you say a pizza will be ready at 5:30 but we don't get it until 6:45pm???? Huh never have we waited at any restaurant for ordered food that long. And why would you give a pick up time if you can't even be near that? And no discount or anything given.... Beyond ridiculous. Too many other choices out there to ever try again. Pizza tastes fine- but not worth that unpredictable wait.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this: I've never been to NY but if I ever do I want my pizza to look and taste like classic slice. One slice is enough to fill you up for 2 days. It's oh so cheesy heaven. They have the regular toppings along with some nice concoctions. The vibe is pretty chill and they have great customer service. It's a small cute retro place and they have arcades ! And a nice little patio. I don't ever wanna have pizza from any other place ever, kudos Home Slice

Yelp
Tried three times in the past week to order food online and by phone. No answer. No messages. Nada.
google avatar

Wendy N.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza, but I order less now that they got rid of the sun dried tomatoes as a topping and the Italian roast beef sandwiches. Also I wish you could order online so I didn't have to talk to a stressed out employee when I am hella baked hee hee
google avatar

Lindsy R.

Yelp
Where do I even begin? I rave about Classic Slice to any friend that hasn't been here before. The vibes are super chill and very welcoming. This is my usually go to spot to share with friends who aren't from Milwaukee or familiar with Bayview. It's a great place to come when you have friends that all have certain pizza topping preferences and here you can get a massive slice with all the toppings. I'd recommend getting the garlic knots to share with your friends or just yourself. When it comes to classic slice bring some playing cards, bring your friends, and get ready to leave with a happy heart and even happier stomach. The slices remind me of a classic New York style pizza but with an added selection of flavors and topping.

Emma W.

Yelp
Found a gem!! This place has great vibes and even better pizza. The staff is super friendly. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Always great! You get what you expect Shippee ahoy slice is my go to Artichoke dip is a pleasant surprise as well
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
Pizza is a gem. Daily special? Yes. The Gabagol slice? Yes. Vegan MKE? Yes. Yes. My favorite pizza place and pizza people.
google avatar

TJ G.

Yelp
Definitely a tasty pizza- has a real New York style taste and feel. Unfortunately they really skimp on the sauce so there is no real tomato flavor - just mostly cheese and crust. I was also surprised that "Classic Slice" offered slices but you had to wait 20 minutes for them to make an entire pizza to get one. Why not have some popular slices ready to be heated up, at least during the busy times - the way they do in NY? I'm going to be trying the Sicilian style next time - tough to find in Milwaukee.

Ethan G.

Yelp
How does it take so long just to get a slice of pizza? I've tried to go here about 10 times and it's always at least 20 minutes for a single slice
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza with a variety of tasty topping, but we had to stop ordering because our orders kept getting canceled after an unreasonable amount of time. Several times, we placed an order and over an hour later our order was canceled with no explanation. Each time I called to follow up, Classic Slice said they weren't accepting delivery service orders as they were too busy. However, the delivery service had no record of Classic Slice pausing their deliveries during these times. Classic Slice never tried to make it right - whether it was their mistake or not. This happened several times over the course of a few months. By the time we found out our orders had been canceled it was too late to start a new order with a different restaurant. Because we never knew whether or not our orders would be fulfilled, we had to stop ordering from Classic Slice.

Yelp
Classic Slice: Let me be upfront that my preferred style of pizza is pan because I love a thick, soft, chewy crust. Classic Slice serves hand tossed pies and individual slices. I was invited to dinner here by a family member that was visiting because a large number of vegan options are offered and my family member is vegan. Without going on too much of a tangent don't ask for my opinion on veganism or vegan pizza (honestly, pizza is not pizza without cheese!) because I'll probably offend you. The restaurant is also known for its ridiculously enormous individual slices. I got a slice of cheese pizza because I use it as my standard for judging a pizza parlor and lets face it, I love cheese pizza. I won't deny that my slice was not gigantic, but when I first started eating it I was a little disappointed because it was smaller than I expected. Good news is that my eyes are bigger than my stomach. While I managed to finish the entire slice, I was indeed stuffed. The cheese pizza was good, but other than its size it was nothing to write home about. Customer service is not great though (I emailed them a question over a week go and never got a response). Recommended if you like thin crust pizza, are vegan, or enjoy oversized food. My top MKE pizza parlors: 1. Pizza Shuttle 2. Pizzeria Scotty 3. Marco's (on Howell) *Review from 2019

Yelp
Talk about a good pizza! I was honestly impressed how good the pizza was from here. On top of that Classic Slice is not only a great Pizza spot for meat eaters but also a great Pizza joint for vegetarians and Vegans. Now Classic slice does NY pizza really well, but the vibes in here are also done very well! I ordered pizza to go and got to Classic Slice a little early so the pizza wasn't quite ready. Luckily I had nothing to fear because they had some old school arcade games for 25¢! So my date and I decided to play some Donkey Kong, ( which I did win at I might add), and our pizza was ready before we knew it. Overall spent about 10 minutes in here, but could honestly spend a couple hours here playing these old school arcade games. Now let's talk about the za! So we decided to go the vegetarian route and order LA Dolce. I'm going to be totally honest and say vegetarian pizza is usually not the move for me, so when I say I was impressed I mean I was REALLY IMPRESSED. The slices are huge and really encompass the NY style pizza. The flavors were so well blended I felt like I was eating pure art! Honestly classic slice has given me appreciation for vegetarian pizzas that dozens of other veggie pizzas have never been able to do. So is this the best pizza location in Milwaukee!? It's tough to say, but I will say it is definitely in the top 3 for me. So go ahead and take a cheat day and grab a classic NY slice from Classic Slice!

Michael V.

Yelp
Our family loves this place for some fresh indulgent pizza. Love the cheese sticks and amazing calzones. Of course the pizza is amazing too. Tons of options, ingredients always fresh, and the crew is always cool and hard working. A Bayview staple.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza I've ever had! My favorite was the pizza with cheese curds instead of mozzarella and jalapeños. We're only in Milwaukee for the weekend but we'll probably go back before we leave again.
google avatar

Yelp
Love classic slice perfect spot to chill with La Familia or Solo, or even take out. I love to come here special in the summer
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza was really good, we just had to take leftovers. Those slices are giant :) The staff was really friendly and helpful as well.

Yelp
Great lunch special! Pizza is always delicious and the inside of the business, along with its soda offerings, make it a fun place to enjoy some pizza.
google avatar

Kaylee S.

Yelp
The ambiance is great! Very hipster and located on a corner by a lot of different stuff in bayview! If your looking for a "classic slice" that's the size of your head! Coke here! One slice is all you need! Pizza cooked to order! When I dined in I had to wait about 10-15 for my slice to be prepared fresh, although they cooked the pepperoni under the cheese, they have no problem substituting it the original way. Very amazing ambiance and laid back staff! Kid friendly as well! Cool art, and old school Game machines from the 90's!
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
This is the best thin crust pizza I've had in Milwaukee. Their ingredients are so fresh and flavorful! I had a pizza with garlic and it was actually super garlicky (amazing!). My orders have always been ready in a timely manner and I'm always happy to walk over and pick up (or drive if it's crazy weather). I'm also super appreciative that they've taken covid precautions seriously and have pretty consistently worn masks and encouraged others to as well. Looking forward to many more pizzas from this gem!

Noah S.

Yelp
classic Slice has done it again! The Gabagol slice (dry cured, spicy pork, basil, and mozzarella with a red sauce) was out of sight! The slices are Hugh Mongas. Even though my waist line objected, I had a caramelized chocolate chip cookie for dessert that was also a generous size. Even though they've got a good selection of tasty beer, I opted for a ginger beer soda. I also love the interior: high ceilings with family - style seating; low key and hip. Plus, there's plenty of parking across the street. This place checks all the boxes.
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
We LOVE classic slice! Their pizza is among our favorite neighborhood go tos! Great crust, love the toppings, but even a simple cheese pizza is excellent! They have a really good, messy meatball sub, & even a wonderful drink selection. The service is always friendly, sometimes the waits can be a bit long, bc 1) it's popular, and 2) it's always made fresh. Not the worst thing! Keep doing what you do great, folks!

Yelp
Delicious pizza options, yummy classic sodas, many other yummy food options. Clean restroom Clean restaurant Friendly service

Yelp
Talk about a slice of pizza!!! More like a full quarter of one! By far most mouth watering, most delicious slice of pie ever! Well best in Bayview for sure! -Definitely a Milwaukee must see!

Yelp
WOW I'm a Chicago guy and I have a favorite pizza place but I have to say that this place has some good pizza. The place itself is very cool and has some great bones from the past with exposed brick walls, high ceiling with the the old school metal truss work held together with rivets. The space is wide open with stools along the wall of windows, bench seating on the opposite wall with a long community table in the middle. A couple old school video game machines are at the front entrance which was cool. I really like the concep here which is order a whole pizza with many options from the menu or a slice of one of them or the build your own pizza and even build your own slice. You could come in with a group of 10 people and everyone could have a different giant slice of pizza and be happy. While looking the menu over I saw the fresh dough getting tossed and not to be difficult but I didn't care for any of the menu pizzas so the 4 topping build your own slice was what I did. I'm going to get a little nuts with my slice and get sausage, spinach, mozzarella, goat cheese with red sauce. WOW when I opened up the box it looked fuc#ing amazing and everything looked very fresh on that huge well topped slice. I have never had this combination before and OMG that's fuc#ing delicious. The spinach taste got lost in translation with the tasty fennel sausage and rich goat cheese being the dominant flavors. The crust was really good also because it was thin with a nice balance of crisp vs chewy with that dusty golden toasted bottom. All the fresh ingredients really makes the difference here and it shows in the quality of the food. Wow if you want some great fresh pizza or want just a slice and have it your way than this is the place to go to because they do a great job.
google avatar

Yelp
The avocado salad with beets, pistachio and vegan dressing is my favorite thing on the menu. And I'm a carnivore. My vegan friend truly loves this place, as it's hard to get good vegan pizza. Pizza is great, but I wish the would offer kids sizes. My 7 year old cant eat that much, and it is harder to afford when we have to pay for a full slice. My husband lives the meatallica slice. He says it is delicious and I think he is going to have a heart attack. When I get pizza, I usually go with the Margerita. I know I spelled that wrong, but it's been a long day and I'm too lazy to figure it out. I should also mention that the contactless pickup here is flawless.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Love this place! They have delish GF& DF too! Dine in or out, or bring it home. Fun friendly accommodating staff with great advice to help your decisions.

Leslie R.

Yelp
Food was good and came as promised. Price is good, better pizza than many. Everything went well.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing vegan choices, giant portions. I'm a bit sad the vegan slices are twice the amount of the normal slices, but atleast Theyre nice! It's already like a full meal. The soy cheese was eh. It didn't like. Taste cheesy to me? It was like crumbled yellow tofu. I would have it again on the pesto one probably just because it's unique but it doesn't melt and taste cheesy like daiya does. Violife would be the ultimate vegan cheese to have but it's not available around yet. Staff was nice, pizza was great, will probably come back to try the more exotic flavors

Eric W.

Yelp
Outstanding pizza. Good sides, meatballs, garlic/bread sticks and cheese sticks. Good stuff, check em out.

Aimee T.

Yelp
Fantastic hidden gem in the area. Great place to grab a slice. Owner is super nice and is willing to customize your slice as much as you want. Slices are super big so expect that. We shared a slice and it was plenty. Seating is large tables so if it's crowded you might end up being packed in with other people but the atmosphere is great with a bit of a NY feel.

Yelp
Adding a star for the way they handled awful third party delivery. I was trying to use a Grubhub discount code I got for the last time I ordered a pizza delivery that was paid for but never arrived after two hours of frustrated waiting calling lies waiting calling and more lies. I had promised myself not to ever fall for the Grubhub rip off again (rip off, this is an old fashioned expression describing being cheated or robbed), but the discount was about to expire and I wanted a pizza for my football game on television. So foolish of me. Ordered by phone application on YELP at 5pm, an hour before kickoff. An hour later, no pizza. Call Grubhub support, they have a recorded response to call the restaurant. The restaurant reports the pizza has been ready for half an hour. Call Grubhub back, long wait on hold, the "customer service" person promises my driver will be there in 2 minutes after another long wait on hold. I've missed the first quarter now. I balked at the 2 minute estimate when I revealed I knew the driver hadn't even arrived at Classic Slice yet. Get this, the "customer service" person offers me a 20% discount. For a pizza I paid for in full that hasn't even been delivered. Will not ever be delivered (I've experienced this twice before). Wouldn't give me a refund, revised my estimated pizza delivery time upwards an hour, so now it was projected to arrive late in the third quarter, a full two hours after the pizza was made. Apparently Grubhub thinks "customer service agent" is a euphemism for cruel liar. The game was so bad, I just went and picked it up. I still got charged for the delivery, without even the 20% discount promised. After I got home, finished the pizza, watched the rest of the game on DVR, I get 10 angry calls and texts from the Grubhub driver because the pizza wasn't there for him to pick up. Unbelievable gall! Five star review for Classic Slice, the old pizza was still warm and didn't taste bad for how old it was. So, whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM GRUBHUB. If you want to donate some money, make it a worthy not-for profit charity instead. If you want to be frustrated, try teaching at an underfunded open-admissions public college. Calling and picking up or eating on site is the best way do do Classic Slice. This pizza is best right out of the oven. Classic Slice has their own delivery drivers but they don't deliver to Mexican neighborhoods. I'm not going to fault them for this, all the pizza places avoid my neighborhood, social progress is going to have to come from more powerful American institutions to end the ills of poverty and intolerance first. But if you live in a "nice" middle class White neighborhood definitely their delivery is your best option. And count yourself lucky, your socio-economic and ethnic status wasn't earned by any personal effort. Your second and pretty good delivery option is Door Dash, you can get Classic Slice this way, and unlike Grubhub, you actually get a pizza when you pay for it.

Christine R.

Yelp
Good service, great pizza, what's not to love?? Fun artwork on the walls and a great vibe in here.

Yelp
Not really NY pizza, we are still in the search. Worth the try, but won't be headed back
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Classic Slice reminds me of one of those little hole in the wall pizza places you find in a big city where at first you aren't sure if you want to even walk in the building, but when you do you wonder why on Earth you wouldn't have gone in in the first place. It's fairly small but has enough tables that you can push together if you have a larger group. They have a simple menu and focus on doing a couple things really really well. We're calzone fans and have struggled to find a good one in Milwaukee since one of our favorite restaurants took them off their menu. We wandered into Classic Slice early on a Saturday afternoon and ordered up a couple of calzones. Everything is made after you order so it's fresh, warm, and totally worth the wait. These suckers are HUGE. One is easily enough to feed two people if you're average hungry. We were all extremely hungry so we each ordered our own and I'm glad we did. They were beyond delicious, stuffed full of toppings and cheese, and easy to eat by hand or with a knife and fork. They have a couple combos if you don't want to think up your own, or you can pick whatever toppings/fillings you want for an extremely reasonable price! Classic Slice is our new go to spot for calzones. It's a good thing we live half an hour away or we'd be there every week and our wallets and waistlines wouldn't be happy with us.
google avatar

Marissa A.

Yelp
Vegan calzones!--that is what brought my boyfriend and I here without a doubt. We built our own with daiya cheese and it was good but could've been stuffed a bit more. The crumbly stuff on top of the pizza and the bread stix is their soy cheese (you can pick between their in house soy cheese or daiya) I honestly enjoyed the taste of the cheese despite its interesting form. We had a weird experience though. There was a huge party that shared the same table with us and to fit their huge pizzas, one of the workers pushed our plates out of the way while we were eating and without asking. Didn't enjoy that part but the food was good.

Lisa Q.

Yelp
No ambiance here, pizza was over cooked and was nothing like a NY style pizza. We waited 30mins for 3 slices of pie.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Was very excited to order when I found out they had gluten free crust plus certain toppings (i.e. basil) that most places do not carry, but was soon very disappointed. My husband ordered a regular crust and I had the gluten free. We both agreed that it was subpar, which for the price (very expensive) you'd expect for it to be relatively delicious. There was nothing special about the sauce and neither of our crusts had much flavor, if any. We tried a second time thinking perhaps it was a fluke but had the same experience. We will not be going back a 3x.
