"If you’re looking to mingle with a specific crowd of men who work in finance, grab a seat at the bar. Claudie is expensive, located in Brickell, and performatively French. Obviously, not a scene for everyone. But for a select few, it might be therapeutic to have Georgio from Santander talk your ear off about why he’s feeling bullish about crypto (if it means you get to drink on his tab). Even if nothing comes of these mind-numbing conversations, at least you get prime people-watching and a free concert thanks to the musicians who roam the dining room." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Claudie is a big French restaurant that’s perfect for a night of peacocking and steak au poivre. The Brickell spot is living proof of how electric a see-and-be-seen spot can be when done right. Book a reservation for around 7:30pm to catch the roving musicians who go from table to table taking requests. If you’re just stopping by for drinks after work, the central bar is great for eavesdropping on venture capitalists spilling company secrets after their third martini. The restaurant might not transport us to the South of France like it claims, but it does make Brickell feel romantic—an arguably more impressive trick." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Brickell never feels empty, but it’s at its least claustrophobic in the summer. Take that as an excuse to check out one of its best new restaurants. Claudie is exactly the kind of scene one expects to find in Brickell. But unlike most of its competition, it’s also a good restaurant. The food, service, and roving musicians who’ll come right up to your table and take a request—all impressive. The patio is where you want to be sitting, but their golden, glowing dining rooms are a fine substitute while it’s awful outside." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"Your opportunity to ham it up for the symmetrical faces gathered at Claudie happens around 8pm. That’s when roving musicians bounce from table to table. Attract them to yours with a flirty look (or a loose $10 bill) and think of a song request that makes you look cultured. Claudie is all about people watching. Is that Camila Coelho or just an uncanny Brickell dupe? are the sort of questions that pop into your head mid-dinner. Even if you’re an avowed Brickell hater, embrace it. Go join the lifestyle influencers posing in front of the bathroom’s huge vanity mirror. At least the social spectacle comes with a side of very good steak frites. Coming from work or too rich to work" - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, julia malave
"Claudie is a French restaurant that warrants an appropriately excessive (and expensive) night out. Their gorgeous patio has a retractable awning that opens up to a Brickell you never knew could look this beautiful. It’s got a giant limestone fountain in the middle, a bar intended for gossiping, and at about 8pm, charming musicians roam from table to table, taking requests. We’d brave Brickell Avenue traffic to watch the sun set behind gleaming skyscrapers from one of the tables scattered around the fountain. It’s the only sceney Brickell spot we feel that way about." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
