I recommended the fish. It’s so delicious and fresh.If you ate outside, it’s very comfortable. I could stay here for the whole day.

Dinner and drinks were amazing! Brett suggested the dirty martini and it was out of this world. It went great with the Caesar salad. For dinner I had the lobster pot pie and my husband had a strip streak with a baked potato. It hit the spot on a windy cold November night. Definitely can't miss this place!!

Place is like a cozy beach house with thee grandest bar. Taylor was so amazingly accommodating, just great service!! I also think I found my favorite lobster roll on LI. Potato bun was buttered and toasted and the lobster was packed. It was so good I remembered to take a pic halfway. Definitely coming back before the summer season leaves us. ✨🦞

Victoria was our server, and she was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience — start to finish. We had the bang bang shrimp and the fettuccini bolognese, and both were delicious! Highly recommend!

DON"T BE FOOLED! If it wasn't for the waterfront views, this restaurant would close in 1 day. I've been coming for 40 years, but they've a sunk to a new low. "We have a new policy, we bring the food out as soon as it's ready so that it's fresh" Translated, this means " We'll bring you the food in random order and don't even ask when it will be ready". We ordered a pretzel for the kids when we sat down and it came out AFTER 3 entrées had arrived, 35 minutes later. The poor waiter did his best but seemed helpless. After 40 minutes, my grandson had still not received him buttered noodles. WHY YOU MAY ASK? We were told that the "chef" had to go all the way to the storage room to get the noodles, whatever that means. New ownership took over a few years ago and they're already subletting the main building to another restaurant (an empty Italian pasta place, good luck with that). The views are great, go for a drink but dine elsewhere until new owners/managers step in.

Love Claudios tavern & grill! The fact that it’s dog friendly is a bonus for us. Our waiter Brett was an absolute gem and very kind. He even brought our dog a bowl of water. Highly recommend !

My family and I booked a reservation for Thanksgiving night. We were greeted at the door by the hostess who was friendly and shared with us how the evening worked. Dinner was buffet style and included in the price fixed dinner, drinks were extra. (Which we already knew, it was clear when we made the reservation. However, we appreciated that she clarified.) The restaurant had sweet fall decorations. Our waitress was extremely friendly, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone had a smile on their face. We were made to feel right at home. The manager came around to great all the patrons and checked on all the tables. The food was delicious!!! The salads were fresh and lightly dressed. The biscuits were some of the best we ever had. The turkey was moist and and the gravy was hot. The apple pie and tiramisu were great as well. Thank you Claudio’s for making our Thanksgiving night so special.

Fresh lobster roll and really nice place for a rest. We have Brett helps on taking the order, he is really familiar with what they have and have great recommendations for us!! Had a great lunch time here !!

Always a cool place for lunch dinner or just drinks. Right in the water with live music, great food and great drinks. Cool ambience and excellent views.

Interesting story that I read about Claudio's Restaurant. The restaurant was established in 1870 when Manuel Claudio, a Portuguese immigrant, first arrived in Greenport. I parked alongside the main street on a rainy day and wandered into the bar restaurant while enjoying a pretzel and a drink. The staff was friendly, and the bar seating was comfortable. There is not much more I can mention about the restaurant since I chose to just have a pretzel. The pretzel was great.

Bret is by far the best server. GREAT drinks and such a kind, friendly vibe. HIGHLY recommend 10/10

it's just ok- very busy and since the new ownership it's looking very run down . no flowers in the outside flower boxes only weeds and trash throw in them because they look like trash cans. very disgraceful new ownership. complete embarrassment in representing the classic Claudio's of 148 years in Greenport. FYI - I think Home Depot sells flowers ...

Stopped by Claudio's for dinner, and they happily accommodated us, and our four legged friend on the outside deck! The food was excellent! The lobster roll was exactly as I was hoping and the presentation was great. The pasta was excellent too. Taylor B was extremely helpful and very nice! We visit Greenport a few times a year and will definitely make it a point to come back to Claudio's for the excellent food and service!

went to claudio's tavern and grill for the first time in years today, what an experience! the drinks were great the food was transcendent. Taylor B the server was a sweetheart, and we would come back just for her. Daniel the bartender was very attentive. The place is beautiful and the view from the veranda is everything! love the ambiance.

This place is such a joke. We booked a welcome party for our wedding here 7 months ahead of our wedding, as to have everything squared away ahead of time. We signed a contract, and sent CC info for a $1600 deposit. I found it odd that 3 weeks out I never heard from them, as our menu selections and headcount was due (mind you this is a 55 person event). When I contacted the restaurant to confirm everything, they told me they had a system update which must have accidentally removed our event from their calendar, so they forgot we had booked, and can no longer host our party. They said had I not called myself to confirm everything we would've shown up to a closed building the day of the event. The manager then tells me don't worry, we spoke to another local restaurant that can take over your party for about the same price. I call this said restaurant, and this was not the case! They did not have a space to accommodate my group, and said it would cost almost triple the price! After this, Claudios went radio silent, refusing to return calls and emails. Our deposit was returned, however this was handled so poorly by Claudio's. We were then left 3 weeks out scrambling calling every restaurant on the North Fork trying to find a new location, while simultaneously contacting our 55 guests to notify them all of the plans. We are all out of towners, and I had paid to have invitations made up and sent out for this welcome party. I had also paid to have welcome signs and decor made up that now all went to waste. At the very least Claudios did not even offer a gift card or ANY type of gesture to apologize for their mistake !! No wonder they have their google reviews disabled. Such a poor excuse for a business that was once quite reputable.

Great meal before the summer season. Tyler and Granit took great care of us. I will be back soon! P.S. I recommend the Filet Mignon and Espresso Martini.

extremely disappointed with their french dip sandwich. advertised as prime rib but clearly the cheapest minced beef they can buy (same as waterfonts steak sandwich). 30 dollars!!! wasnt cut in half, was so soggy i couldn't pick it up. it was so bad I could only take 3 bites before i had to throw it out!

I live in Virginia and used to go there when I visited my Mother until she pasted away. Today was the first time that I visited since it changed ownership. There were only six people sitting at the bar. The bartender Michelle C seemed distracted. We ordered a few drinks and I ordered a half dozen clams on the half shell. IMHO they should serve them with a clam knife, as none of them were shucked completely. I had to use the fork to shuck them out of the half shell. Then when I asked for our check there was only one other person at the bar and it took her several minutes to bring our check. It is the first time in quite a while when I did not leave a tip of less than twenty percent. This was not based on the clams not being properly shucked (which was not her fault) but on the lack of her attention.

Overpriced and dirty... on a Monday afternoon 2pm! I can imagine how bad it gets on a busy weekend!!

Seated us right away in the main restaurant. Outside was perfect. Wasn't crowded and out wonderful server, Taylor was so good and polite. Claudio's food is always great and the staff made it even better.

Recently I and my cousins were in the North Fork and stopped to Greenport and we had lunch at Claudio' s Tavern.The place is very clean and the Staff are very helpful..This was a beautiful summer day and the town,waterfront were crowded.We had Calamari, Oyster Chowder Sandwiches.The bar was packed too.The food was very good We took many pictures of the boats and Claudio's Waterford Restaurant that was packed too.Claudio,s has been a staple in the Town for many years.If you are in the North Fork go to Greenport specially Main Street and the waterfront. The food was great, highly recommend the chicken penne alla vodka. Atmosphere was fun and fresh the outside seating was very nice. Brett was an amazing server he was very attentive and funny.

Tyler was an excellent waiter, accommodating our family of 6, including a toddler. good drinks and good food. will return based on his excellent service and the quality of food.

From the beginning, the service was subpar due to the lack of attention we received from the host and the waitstaff. It seemed as if we were not deemed worthy of dining there compared to other people who arrived after us. Once they realised we didn't order alcohol, the service somehow got worse and it took a while to get the server's attention for anything. The food was okay, but it took over 45 minutes to arrive, even though other tables received food before us, despite ordering later. Realistically, I was not going to leave a 20% tip after the experience, but I didn't have a choice since they tacked on a "holiday gratuity" and when asked about it they argued with us. I'm pretty sure that is not allowed, unless it's stated on the menu somewhere but it wasn't. It is also a random Friday in July, not a holiday. It appears they make up for bad service and lack of genuine tips by forcing the gratuity on everyone they want to.

Awful food. Such a disappointment. Last year (2023) was excellent and this year was horrible. I heard there is new ownership. I hope they can get their crap together! The crab cakes were dry and fishy - the sushi is a big NO - the linguini and clams was ok but no bread - mussels were ok. Very sad. I hope they get a new chef or new kitchen management or something!

The four of us had dinner tonight- sat outside near the boats. The food was excellent. Baked clams, mussels, fluke and lobster rolls with fries were great. Even coffee was really good. Server and manager were A+. We were very impressed and will definitely be back.

The food was not very good. The service was terrible...waited 45 minutes and we had to ask before our food was served...obviously it was just sitting in the kitchen so the soup was brought with the main course...!! Ran me over $200 for 4 people for this and without any drinks... I was shocked when I got the bill and a "Holiday" 20% gratuity was added and they would not remove it....with such poor service they apparently have to force a tip on the customer...it was not any holiday....!!!!! The menu did not warn about this mandatory tip.....we did not know about it until the bill as handed to us I will never go there again...there are plenty of other restaurants to go to in Greenport and they are all superior....... There should be no Star for this review but the review does not enable that...

Tried this place a few times, the food is very inconsistent and had a under cooked chicken which was a bit cold but the previous week it was good and that's what brought us back, not sure I'd go back again

Claudio's staff outdid themselves on Friday night. The bartenders handled a packed house. The servers were professional and very helpful. Chateau helped me with my jacket that someone accidentally spilled white sauce on. She took it and cleaned it. I appreciate her going out of her way to help me. Thank you for such great service.

Excellent food and service. manager Rick went beyond to accommodate us. He made sure we had our clam chowder even though they ran out at the grill location. Our waitress Stephanie was amazing. We have Been coming here for 16 years and the new mgt didn't disappoint. Thank you, Claudio's. :)

Loved the experience from start to finish. The bartender, Evan was very accommodating and friendly. .Our waiter, Stephen, was terrific. He was very attentive without interferring. Very knowledgeable about the menu and was very careful to meet allergy needs at our table. Loved the setting, food was outstanding. Highly recommend! !

It was my husband and I first time here and it did not disappoint . Victoria our server recommended the hot lobster roll . it was delicious . She also made for a relaxing enjoyable dining experience .We will differently be back !

i came here back in june 2020 & thought it was great - came back again august 2024 and it completely fell off. its a very casual vibe which is fine, but they couldn't even give glasses; they gave plastic cups. for the prices they charge they should give out real glasses. food was honestly EH. nothing at all to brag about. service was a little slow as well. not sure i'd travel here all the way from queens again.

Had a wonderful lunch today at a nice table outside. Had the burger which was delicious. Our server Taylor W. Was extremely accommodating and so sweet. Menu is reasonably priced and the food is very good. Highly recommend.

Claudios's on the Waterfront has a great vibe good music , the tavern on Main St. has great bartenders. However Maitre d" was rude and unwelcoming needs to learn how to smile. We came with 13 guest in which she denied our reservations even though the place was empty amazing! we left felt unwelcomed and went to a great Italian restaurant Porto Bello where without reservation and a crowd we were welcomed and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The service from our waiter, Brett, was awesome! The food was much better than expected -- loved the lobster roll and the fish and chips. Would definitely recommend, but be aware that the prices are not cheap. It is a beautiful historic place with so much charm and we will be back for more.

Brett was great.Happy friendly and attentive Go Brett food was good too. The expresso martini was so cold and yummy. The restaurant motif' was suitable to the beach and ocean vibe.

Came back again and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the veranda. The waitress was lovely and the lobster was delish! Highly recommend !

We're local and brought my parents for dinner to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Our server, Taylor, was great - so attentive, patient and pleasant. The food was great too. We split a pretzel sticks appetizer with peach mustard which was delish. I had the brisket special which was off the hook. My husband had wings and a caesar - yummy. And both of my parents had the linguine with clam sauce. My dad is a tough guy to please but he was really complimentary of the clam sauce. Overall, a really awesome evening. Kudos to Taylor and the entire Claudio's staff!

We had Brett this evening and he was great! We got an app to share, our mains and dessert! Every course was delicious! Brett had great recommendations (he steered me right with the fluke, it was so good)

I've been going to Claudio's for several years. I was tempted to give it a three rating based on the prices, but I realize that is probably not their fault. I have gone there by boat in the past, as it is a great destination by boat. But Claudio's has changed their policy on docking and it now charges $2 per foot for two hours. That adds $70 to my already pricey bill. We may need to find a different waterfront place to eat. The food was "good, not great". The calamari was chewy, but everything else was acceptable. Service was good. Now for the ambiance. This is where Claudio's shines. The view is fantastic. The atmosphere is fantastic. The weather was wonderful the day we were there and this what you pay for. Great location. Bottom line- I've had better food at Claudio's. It was not bad by any means. The atmosphere and service can make you forget the so-so food. Maybe it was just a bad day. I will not came by boat, but I would not be afraid to return in the future. Solid "Four".

Beautiful waterfront outside evening - had the stuffed Fluke and Italian white wine carafe and it was a perfect dinner - Cassandra our waitress was wonderful- very knowledgeable and attentive but not not disruptive- excellent service !!

highly recommend Claudio's. we had a wonderful experience from the delicious food to great service. The owner/manager was wonderful and gave us a tour showing us the rich history of the location. Super interesting. The lobster roll was delicious - one of the best I've had.
