This place is such a joke. We booked a welcome party for our wedding here 7 months ahead of our wedding, as to have everything squared away ahead of time. We signed a contract, and sent CC info for a $1600 deposit. I found it odd that 3 weeks out I never heard from them, as our menu selections and headcount was due (mind you this is a 55 person event). When I contacted the restaurant to confirm everything, they told me they had a system update which must have accidentally removed our event from their calendar, so they forgot we had booked, and can no longer host our party. They said had I not called myself to confirm everything we would've shown up to a closed building the day of the event. The manager then tells me don't worry, we spoke to another local restaurant that can take over your party for about the same price. I call this said restaurant, and this was not the case! They did not have a space to accommodate my group, and said it would cost almost triple the price! After this, Claudios went radio silent, refusing to return calls and emails. Our deposit was returned, however this was handled so poorly by Claudio's. We were then left 3 weeks out scrambling calling every restaurant on the North Fork trying to find a new location, while simultaneously contacting our 55 guests to notify them all of the plans. We are all out of towners, and I had paid to have invitations made up and sent out for this welcome party. I had also paid to have welcome signs and decor made up that now all went to waste. At the very least Claudios did not even offer a gift card or ANY type of gesture to apologize for their mistake !! No wonder they have their google reviews disabled. Such a poor excuse for a business that was once quite reputable.
