Clay Pot Ethiopian Cuisine

Delicious. Had the red chile lamb, yellow lentils and green beans. Everything packed such a fantastic punch of flavor. The owner was very attentive and clearly loves what she has to offer. The live music was a nice touch. The after dinner coffee she serves is also very good. Can't wait to return.

Clay Pot just fed us the most delicious meal!!! We ate from a vegan buffet of flavorful dishes until we were stuffed (vegan night every Friday). Some of the dishes were very spicy (yum!) and all of the textures, smells, and flavors were a treat for all 5 senses. The chef and server were kind and attentive, and we especially loved the clove tea and rich coffee! My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary, and Clay Pot was perfect. Really blew our expectations out of the water. We will be back!!!

Absolutely delicious. First time my friend and I tried Ethiopian food and it was all outstanding. Seble is so kind and welcoming and clearly wants to put her culture and her food on display for all of us to learn and enjoy. I look forward to returning and hope for her continued success. Seble also provided us Ethiopian coffee and it was the BEST coffee I have ever had.

Clay Pot catered my wedding this weekend and everything was incredible! I received several compliments on the meal, there were plenty of vegetarian/vegan options, and everything was gluten free. Seble rolled with a few logistical challenges on the wedding day and even jumped in to serve the cake, which was very kind. I can't say enough good things about the food and the level of service. Highly recommend Clay Pot for catering!

Seble makes some of the most delicious Ethiopian food I’ve ever eaten. I’m from Kenya and grew up in New York, and have eaten Ethiopian food throughout my entire life. It’s been the place to go after celebrations, reunions, and milestones in my family. When I moved to Albuquerque for my medical school rotations, I was hoping to encounter Ethiopian food as I had previously resided in Las Cruces for two years where I yearned for this cuisine. I discovered Seble’s food truck in early February of this year. At the time, I was going through a very difficult and devastating period. To me, it was a source of comfort and the discovery was a personal Godsend to me. I felt very grateful to be eating Ethiopian food again after not eating it in three years. I even signed up for a cooking class where I learned how to make injera and some vegetarian dishes. If I’m being honest (even if this sounds cliche), her food pulled me out of a very dark time and instilled a lot of hope into me. I look forward to one day Seble opening up an Ethiopian restaurant and serving her very delicious food to all.

Seble's cooking classes and meal prep are absolutely amazing! Her foods are delicious and savory, as well as spicy too! YUM! Her class was so fun at our friends home too! We were able to help prepare, cook and feast afterwards! A must if you want to share a really fun and flavorful experience with friends!

Great Ethiopian restaurant and the only one in ABQ! The food is fresh and they have vegan options as well. The woman working there is very welcoming and knows how to prepare good Ethiopian food. If you’ve never tried Ethiopian cuisine I definitely recommend giving it a go and it’s a unique experience eating with your hands (they have utensils too!) ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
