Clearwater Ferry

We took our 3 granddaughters on the Clearwater Ferry a few weeks ago. It was so special for us to see their excitement. The girls were fascinated with Coach Brian and his first mate. Coach Brian so willingly answered so many questions from our girls and he had such a wonderful rapport with them. The fee we paid was so low and this was so unexpected. It was beautiful to be on the water and we look forward to going again. The schedule runs every half hour between the Coachman Park downtown Clearwater stop to Clearwater Beach and back. We were not aware of where to stand to wait for the ferry after making our reservation. Coach Brian came to the area we were waiting and guided us to where we needed to go. Was so impressed by his help and kindness. Such a great way to spend a cooler day and be on the water. Looking forward to going again.

Their captain Brian was excellent and his assistant. He accommodated the ferry for us to appreciate the view of playing dolphins near the dock. Very informative and friendly. Loved how we were treated and plan to make more trips like these!

Definitely take advantage of the Clearwater Ferry if you are headed to Clearwater Beach. The drive time and hassles of finding parking, not to forget the price of parking are well worth the price of $8pp paid for the ferry ticket. The crew was great and got us safely to the Beach every time. I was so happy to find out that the Clearwater Ferry was in operation at the Dunedin location during the weekends in May. Couldn't have been a better place to ride out to Clearwater Beach as I was staying within steps of their dock at the Dunedin Marina. The boat was always on time and it was such an enjoyable ride to Clearwater Marina and then to Clearwater Beach. I even took the ferry when I reserved a night out on the StarLite Dinner Cruise. Their docks are right next to each other at Clearwater Beach and that was so convenient. Just know that they DO NOT travel after 8 pm. That is the only negative on this form of transportation.

If I could give Clearwater Ferry 10 stars I would! My sister and I took the ferry from Clearwater Beach to downtown Clearwater to The Sound for a concert. The experience was nothing short of Fabulous! The crew was amazing! Super friendly, and very professional and the accommodations on board were so comfortable! I would highly recommend all day long! Thank you Clearwater Ferry! You guys are the best!

I loved the idea to be able to park where parking is available and not so expensive to get to Clearwater Beach. Senior discount available. $2 50. Regular one way cost is $5

Recently we rode the ferry from Dunedin to Clearwater Beach for the first time. We were fortunate enough to get a close enough parking space to board the ferry. Because we had never taken it before we did find it difficult to know exactly where to go to board it. Thankfully in my strides I continued forward and noticed the sign in front of where they docked. I think that having some clear signs on the roads leading in would be better for direction. There wasn't a way to contact anyone from the company readily so that was not my favorite. I did appreciate the direction information that is outlined on the site for various parking options. It was a wonderful experience with beautiful scenery. The staff were awesome, knowledgeable when asked questions and accommodating to us as we didn't schedule our return with enough time to be in Clearwater before getting back on the ferry. We enjoyed our ride and our visit and will book another trip on this ferry in the future.

My son and I had a very good experience riding the ferry to the Sugar Sand Festival and Clearwater Beach from the Downtown Clearwater Marina this past Sunday. Ferry was on time, and boarding happened quickly after the previous ship docked. I bought tickets on my phone while waiting only a few minutes to get on board and the Captain saw our reservation instantly on his iPad. We enjoyed sitting inside the ferry and taking our turn to step onto the front of the ship for a different views. Such a delight! Not sure I’ll ever drive to that beach again! Thank you Captains!
