I've been coming here since I was a child, but it's no longer a safe place for children.
Recently, there's been a lot of news stories about how USA libraries are basically homeless shelters now. I get it! If I were homeless, I'd want to hang out in a library all day, too.
However, some of them are openly aggressive and it's just become a very unpleasant environment.
Apparently I'm not the only one. There are only 10 parking spaces. A large chain link fence separates the library parking lot from a massive, empty parking lot that was formerly part of the library parking lot. And this is the main Clearwater library, an absolutely *massive* two story building! There simply isn't a need: Why provide parking when nobody wants to come here anymore?
I really wish I could say something a little more positive. I have my library card because I use Hoopla, but I won't go into the building any more unless I absolutely have to
