Clearwater Main Library is a modern clean Library for children and adults with Books CDs, DVDs and great view of Clearwater Beach Florida and helpful stuff . It is also a painting expo in the library.

I've been coming here since I was a child, but it's no longer a safe place for children. Recently, there's been a lot of news stories about how USA libraries are basically homeless shelters now. I get it! If I were homeless, I'd want to hang out in a library all day, too. However, some of them are openly aggressive and it's just become a very unpleasant environment. Apparently I'm not the only one. There are only 10 parking spaces. A large chain link fence separates the library parking lot from a massive, empty parking lot that was formerly part of the library parking lot. And this is the main Clearwater library, an absolutely *massive* two story building! There simply isn't a need: Why provide parking when nobody wants to come here anymore? I really wish I could say something a little more positive. I have my library card because I use Hoopla, but I won't go into the building any more unless I absolutely have to

Love this location! Staff has always been super friendly and helpful. The book selection is vast. The views of the water are beautiful. Wish I lived closer. Would definitely be here every weekend at least.

Great place to study or for ideation. The views are fantastic, its never crowded, seats are comfortable and their internet speeds rock!!! Get over and grab a book!

Why does the MAIN library of Pinellas County have the most limited hours? It It is a nice library but everytime I need to go they are closed. And unfortunately all the other libraries never seem to have what I am looking for so there is just no good alternatives. It is very odd that the public library in the county that has by far have the most material, and is deemed "main," is the one that has the most limited access. It is a shame.

Great place to bring small children. Lots of activities along with a quality play area for younger children and teens. Pretty good selection of graphic novels.

We came here with our daughter for a kids event. I can only say for the second floor, where we were directly. Looks new & modern. Friendly staff! Huge selection of books for children. There are corners for children, an area for playing chess and checkers, a piano. Large windows with great views. Small car parking next to the library. But there is free public parking nearby.

Yelp
15 cents per black and white copy on copy machine a little outrageous at a government built library that was built with are money and is funded heavily with tax dollars for pensions

Yelp
This is a gem of a public library on high ground with windows overlooking the bridge and the bay. The current exhibit of the everglades photos of Clyde Butcher is large and comprehensive.

Yelp
I'd be here more often if I lived closer. All of the amenities this library offers are kind of crazy. Not only are the views of the water amazing, but it has a cute cafe and puts on workshops regularly. I think they might even have a recording studio here. I've never actually checked books out, but I went to a class about 3D printing a couple months ago. It was pretty informative. You can send designs to the 3D printing lab and pick them up once they're finished (for free as long as you have a library card). I don't know what I expected, but knowing nothing about 3D printing I was disappointed that it just uses so much plastic. Considering we live so close to the water, and hear so much about plastic waste killing our marine life I probably won't use the 3D printer here. However, all of the technology information sessions they run are really cool. More than the usual "this is how to use Facebook" geared toward our older community members. Anyway I'd definitely attend another session if I have free time.

Yelp
As residents of Pinellas counties, we popped in after visiting the Pierce st. Market. It was just one of those things where we wanted to check out the Maker's lab. However because we don't have a current card, and the husbeast didn't want to sign up for one on their unsecured system. we hesitated. What we did notice is that it's large, it is clean and it is fairly up to date. The staff is warm and welcoming and they don't throw out the homeless, which is good and bad, since the homeless tend to occupy the computers and utilize the ac during the hot days.

Yelp
This is the most amazing Library I've ever been to. Large four-story facility overlooking the water. Third floor is mostly for kids, my kids love this place. They enjoy sitting and reading or playing with one of the many games they have set up here for them. After reading we always take a walk along the Seawall in front of the library and take in the sights. Very large selection of books as well.

Yelp
It's a fairly large library, but SOOO many bums use it as a place to hang out all day long for the air conditioning and the computers which makes it a bit gross. Other than that, there are lots of books, it's nice and quiet, and it's got an excellent view of the water, particularly from the top floor. Lots of parking, and there is a drive by book drop which is pretty cool.

Yelp
This is a nice Library. The location is right on the bluff, overlooking the park and waterfront. They have a good selection and inventory of books.

Yelp
As far as libraries go, this one isn't bad. The BEST part of it is that it provides scenic views of Clearwater. You can see the water from almost any angle, especially from the top floors. They have a beautiful park area you can sit and read at. Many homeless people come around the library and if you're open to it you can have an interesting conversation with a Vietnam vet about dada art in exchange for a bottle of water. As far as the collection goes, they don't have as many old hollywood flicks as I'd like or as many new book selections. Everything you want is almost always checked out, but if you're into old books or Spanish language reading, they are usually stocked with selections. As far as new political and current affairs books, plum out 90% of the time. BUT they do have a quaint gift shop, a nice coffee shop area and clean bathrooms.

Yelp
Since I reviewed the Drew Street Library, I thought I would also review this one. It is big, clean and very modern. The staff are friendly, helpful and seem happy to be there. There are lots of special activities and events there. A full bank of computers and wifi. They have a little book store. A giant movie and music collection. On the second floor they have an upright piano which they let anyone play. It overlooks the water and a park. Tax payer dollars being spent in the best possible way. Love this place.

Yelp
This is an ok library. The wi-fi is adequate for laptop users and the collection of books is pretty up-to-date. Kind of cramped a bit and needs more space on the main floor.

Yelp
Very big, plenty of computers, it's free, with free wifi. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Enough room to sit alone in the corner if you please. With computer use you get 60 minutes but if no one else is waiting for a computer your welcome to add time to your computer use. As far as public libraries go I Love it so far just moved here so I'm glad I found a library that offers all these services. Recommend.
