Cleland National Park

Although the weather was a bit gloomy, overall I had an awesome experience at the park. There was a ride array of native animals spread throughout the park, easy access for viewing, and a clean well maintained path to explore. Each section had adequate information on the animals that reside there. The animals are used to being approached and are friendly when visitors quietly and calmly approach them. The team was great at answering any questions we had and overall it was a good first park experience. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic day out for the whole family. The Koala's a focal point as they relaxed in their enclosures with plenty of fresh gum to snack on between naps. The array of other native animals was extensive, with Kangaroos, Wallabies and wide assortment of birdlife roaming freely and readilly available for viewing. Enclosures allowed easy access and good vantage points to view the animals. The Wombat burrow cut away with a glass viewing panel allowing visitors a rarely obtained glimpse into the Wombats sleepy existence below ground. The Echidna's were up and about with a number quitely going about their routine, unfazed by enthralled visitors overlooking their activities. The cafe offers a good range of locally produced quick bites, ice cream treats and a welcome coffee. The team at Cleland clearly deeply involved in caring for the animals of the park and happy to answers questions and point out interesting characteristics about the animals. All and all an excellent day out for everyone and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Even though it was a bit pricey on entry, I highly recommend this place. A large wildlife park to spend a few hours in. You can not see the entire place in under 3hours, may need the whole afternoon. Great place and workers there are awesome, professional and friendly.

This was a beautiful introduction to our most unique wildlife, for our overseas visitor. Being able to pat a koala, feed kangaroos and Wallabies, see them all at the same place.

Cleland National Park is a great place to experience Australia’s natural beauty. With scenic walking trails and wildlife such as koalas, kangaroos, and emus, it’s perfect for nature lovers. Visitors can feed kangaroos by purchasing a food pack for AUD 4, adding a fun and interactive element to the visit. Tickets cost AUD 33.50 for adults, with concession rates available. The park also has a beautiful lookout near the rock kangaroo area, offering stunning views of the cit. Picnic spots are available for those who want to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. While some days include koala rest days or limited access to certain areas, there’s still plenty to explore. The on-site café offers tasty snacks and lunches, making it easy to spend a full day at the park. Cleland National Park is a wonderful destination for connecting with nature and wildlife.

Enjoyed it very much. Very well organised and structured. Great information and directions to various sections of the park. We were able to pet a koala during interactive session. Highly recommended.

Very picturesque, a great climb to the summit, the climb is for moderate to highly fit, but the first waterfall and Utopia are for any fitness level, beautiful peaceful place to appreciate nature.

It’s great. You can hike up to ticket station. I heard up from there that the hike is really steep. Easy to spend a day there. Kangaroo feed 4$, ticket 33$. Easy parking, there’s also a bus that goes there. There are plenty of rest stops, so you can pack a lunch.

This park is pretty big, or at least big where national parks located in Adelaide are concerned. Well, okay, there are much, much bigger ones than this around Australia, but growing up in Adelaide I would always look at the maps and think 'woah, this is pretty big'. Mind you, it probably isn't the best of parks to walk around, though there are some rather cool hikes, such as the one that takes you to the top of Mount Lofty. However, the thing that is really cool is the wildlife refuge that is located in the middle. Oh, and I should mention the Hills Face Zone - basically the park was initially designed so that the hills would actually be pleasant to look at, as opposed to being full of houses, or quarries (of which, unfortunately, there are some).

In a Nutshell: -If you love animals you need to come visit Cleland Conservation/Wildlife Park. -Not only do you get to see a variety of kangaroos, but you also get to walk inside their fenced off areas & feed/pet them. -There are also emu's, which you can feed. -The koala's are really soft & there are designated meeting times, where you can touch them/take photos with. -The park itself is well-maintained & staff knowledgable. -There are other animals such as wombats, Tazmanian Devils, dingoes, various fowl & other tiny marsupials. Overall, I love this park & all the free-roaming kangaroos.

When visiting Adelaide you have to go to Cleland. It's a beautiful nature park with all the Aussie animals. You can pat kangaroos and koalas. The walk around is absolutely beautiful. The Australian birds are so pretty and fun to listen to. They have a nice gift shop and great place to eat. The food was good. Really beautiful!!!

If you're doing touristy types of things in Adelaide, then this is up there for experiencing South Australia's flora and fauna. There's really quite a bit to see and do, and you'll have a great time. I'll review the wildlife park and Mt Lofty Summit separately, and for now I'll just focus on my experience walking from the car park at Waterfall Gully up Mt Lofty. It's a really nice walk, but it's much nicer if you've got decent hiking shoes. There's a restaurant here, but I haven't eaten here, so I won't say any more about it. But the walk is a really nice one. It's a round trip of a bit under eight kilometres, so it's not massive, but I was pretty worn out. Well worth doing if you're up for it.

This place is worth making the trip to. The views from up at the lookout are amazing. Seriously amazing. There are various walking tracks to suit beginners right up to experienced hikers. It's a great place to take the family to fall in love with nature. There is a restaurant which does a pretty good meal (though it's not cheap), and also a tourist shop. Pack a picnic and make a day of it.

This is a great place to witness and experience what most of the Adelaide Hills would have looked like for thousands of years prior to the colonial era. Conservation parks like this are an absolute gem for their dedication to preserving a natural environment for its own sake and allowing us in to have a mosy around. The hikes in Cleland are interesting and varied catering to all skill levels. It's pretty easy to get lost and into a sticky situation, so taking adequate water into the park is a must. However, it's not so large that you're going to have to rely on trapping animals and fashioning a stone hatchet to survive if you do get lost. It's a great place to have a day out.
