I was happy they reopened the doors for me. I was so hungry. Apologize for the flood gate after but at least it's more money. I had falafel sandwich which was really good. Thanks chef. Not eating meat on a late night is a struggle.

I visited the restaurant on May 27th at around 9:10 PM, drawn by the good reviews on vegan options. However, my experience with the cashier was troubling. When I asked if the grape leaves and falafel appetizers were fully vegan, he stared at me for several seconds without responding. I had to ask about dairy or yogurt at least three times before he finally answered they were vegetarian (of course I know…it’s written on the menu…) Vegetarian and vegan are different, so I asked again to ensure there was no dairy/yogurt. He nodded after a long, awkward pause and then took my order. When I got home, I found yogurt dipping sauce with the grape leaves, despite my repeated requests for a vegan option. The food itself would have been perfect if the yogurt sauce had been omitted or replaced with a vegan alternative. Unfortunately, this interaction has made me hesitant to order "vegan options" from here again, even though I really enjoyed the falafels. 😭😭😭

This is a hidden gem located on the corner. This is important because O initially walked past it . It looks like your average grocery store. However, in the back, fresh meals are being prepared. Thank you

Unbelievable! I order from here every week and on my last order the food was flipped upside down and the driver told me that Jessica from Cleo’s told her please don’t tell him I dropped his food and it fell out the bag. Then I called and she had the audacity to tell me there’s nothing we can do about it.

Okay the food was really really good. We didn’t have to wait for long. Seems to be a neighbourhood favourite and the owner was friendly. They have all the drink choices you could ever want and halal friendly menus for those that want that. Would definitely go again

Was not at all sure what to expect with a restaurant/convenience store but the food was delicious. Once we walked in and looked confused the cashier offered us menus and we picked some of the things that looked extra tasty. It wasn't particularly cheap considering it's takeaway but it was all worth it. Lots of great veggie options on the menu. Loved the veggie moussaka, spinach pie and french fries. Loved the halloumi too but the portion of halloumi was rather petite. Also worth a visit if you'd like to try a new soft drink or candy item, the shelves were bursting with interesting items.

Probably some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The creamiest hummus with loads of flavor. Really good baklava. The lamb after a night out? YES. Don't be put off by the fact this is inside an unassuming bodega - which by the way has literally every kind of single serve beverage you can imagine as well as a huge variety of snack foods I've never seen. This is not an eat-in establishment. Take your food to go.

I was hoping for some traditional Greek fare and this was not it. The octopus was rubbery and the mousaka did not have bechemel on top nor any haloumi. The lamb was delicious though!

In a town full of Lebanese places, this corner store's food is outstanding. They do have a sit-down restaurant on Decatur, too. Best French fries in town.

Cleos is a bodega with a small kitchen. I had a chicken gyro wrap, it was good, cheap, and quick!

Take-Out/Uber Eats at Midnight. Gyro meat was very tender and flavorful. The rice and hummus very bland. Portion size was good. Overall, sub par Mediterranean food.

My husband and I found this hidden gem when trying to find somewhere to eat late night and boy did it hit the spot! Yes, looks can be deceiving but the food...chef's kiss!! You must try the red snapper and shrimp, it was so flavorful and delicious. Not your regular plate you would expect, so it took me by surprise but I have been craving it since I left NOLA!!!!

Fantastic late night delivery... We loved the hummus and salad... The salmon was on the dry side, but would definitely try it again and the shrimp are small but overall very tasty. Definitely recommend for a late night delivery in the quarter!

This is probably one of the stranger take out places i have been to. Looks like a bodega littered with tons of expired chips and candy everywhere, to the point where you almost need to walk sideways to enter. There are a few chairs by the swinging doors of the "kitchen" but they looked rickety and quite frankly, too dirty to sit on. My spider senses were tingling hardcore but i hadn't eaten all day and this place was open, so i took a chance against my better judgment and ordered from this unsavory place. The (overpriced) food was actually okay but I will pray throughout the night that I dont get ill from eating food from such a dirty place.

This place is so delicious!! I make it a point to come whenever we're in New Orleans. The chicken is packed with so much flavor! The first and BEST place I'd ever eaten Mediterranean food.

Located on Canal near The Roosevelt hotel and the Orpheum theater. This is a restaurant that also sells candy, snacks, and drinks. They're open 24/7, something very helpful for people living in the area and the late-night folks. Currently take out only. I got lentil soup and baklava to go. Unlike some other restaurants I've been that had it on the menu, Cleo's was not out of baklava, so they earned points from me just for that. The baklava was maybe not quite as "juicy" as some I've had, but it wasn't dry and still tasted good, so I would order it again. Their lentil soup is thick, smooth, and delicious. And their prices don't make my wallet weep. Are there downsides? Sure. Most notable is that it felt kinda dark and crowded with stuff inside. But considering I was just getting food to-go, that didn't really bother me. I enjoyed my food and would order it again if I was in the area.

So I admit... I got this meal delivered and this is often the case when you're not dining in, but it was kinda terrible. The flavors were good, but for what I paid, the portions were sad, and the textures weren't great either. It IS possible to deliver falafel that is still edible on arrival, as I have had it from other local places, but this wasn't it. It was gummy and dense, like a hockey puck, and I'm willing to bet it was not much better when it was first put in this go-box. I finished the whole thing because I was starving and drunk, but I didn't enjoy it much, and ended up feeling kinda cheated and bummed out after having spent... wait for it... $38!!... on what was not a very filling meal. I even got extra pita, and definitely needed it. Anyway, I will give them a go some other time without doing the delivery thing, and see if they're better via takeout.

The chicken, shrimp and salmon we ordered were delicious! Hummus was superb. Parking was difficult.

Coolest folks, immigrant-owned business, I can actually see their store from my window at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. Late night, hubby and I landed late, the only thing was opened then. This young black cashier girl was so welcomed us in, she is talkative but polite and knows how recommend food or (upswell) which is good! We enjoyed her company while waited for our food to be made, the swarmy chicken plate and lamb wrap, both were yummy. Next night I came back for more food. This time Tikka chicken and that basmati rice with spices. Love it! Met the owner, he's a cool dude, he hustles, watching him work reminded me of my immigrant self, first generation, I work every day since I came to this country. Even now, I don't take a day off unless I'm in the hospital which was a few trips HA. #MoneyNeverSleeps right as Wall Street movie said! Love their varieties of drinks, noodles, candies, snacks as you have seen at Daiso or a Japanese store, or only in California. I'm impressed :-) bought some Pho Noddle Bowl to go HA, I'm so Vietnamese (and damn proud every bit of it)! I'll come back before I leave New Orleans again, supporting these folks. BTW, they open 10 AM - 5 AM, not 24/7, FYI! A perfect warm, freshly cook food for hangover :-)

You might not expect much from a corner style store but this is hands down one of my all time favorite spots! It just reminds me of a neighborhood store where you can just so happen to get a BANGIN meal with counter service. This is what we call a "hidden gem" because it's like asking a genie for a beautiful, delicious meal full of life and flavor with aromatics and tantalizing tastes - then with the twist genie's usually give - you find yourself in a place with no tables or chairs to eat it at. The experience of what your tastebuds witness is worth eating standing up, walking, taking back to a place you can enjoy or just diving in right there on Canal street surrounded by construction. I feel like this really gives you the bility to focus in on just the food where some restaruants have too much happening as part of the experience. This is simple and strictly about the taste and quality of food. Not to mention this is the only place I've been in all of America that has vegetarian mousakka.

The food is so good & they are open late. The hummus was some of the best I've had. The food does take a little while. Fresh & tasty, worth the wait. I'd eat here again & again. Nice portions, flavorful. Friendly service. Definitely recommend.

Always open for a quick Lamb & Hummus fix. The drink selection is crazy, whatever you need to quench your thirst.

We were staying next door at the Sonder Promenade. We called in the order and headed down ten minutes later. When we arrived the food was not ready and we waited another 15 minutes. The grilled salmon and shrimp was very good, as was the hummus. The gyro was bad. The meat was dry and over cooked. The pita was also dry and fell apart. I've had a lot of shawarma/gyros all over the world and this was unremarkable.

Literally the best traditional hummus and kabob downtown located in a bodega. Went to 3 different Mediterranean eateries and this one blew it out of the water. The staff is friendly and the food is authentic. The baklava is worth keeping secrets for! Stop in if you need any snacks! They have it all, even Mars bars which are hard to find in the IS!

I was staying at the Roosevelt and wanted quick dinner without wading through a sea of tourist traps for a decent bite to eat. Cloe's was just at the end of the block and definitely fit the bill. They're open 24 hours, have an extensive menu and the convenience store has a great selection of cold drinks, candies, and even an entire wall of various instant ramen and udon! I wasn't really in the mood for anything heavy late at night so I went with the grilled flounder and fried shrimp with basmati, rice, and hummus on the side. The seafood was well seasoned but the portion size left a bit to be desired and the rice was pretty good. The real standout was the flatbread and hummus, which was excellent, and I can see why the lamb and hummus is so popular here. I'll be heading head back in the next day or so. to check it out. I'm really glad I stopped into this place and will definitely be back every time I'm in town!

So, this place would be 5 stars if a full meal had not been left out of our order (not sure where the blame lies/miscommunication occurred, but the Uber app showed everything in our order, then the paper receipt from Cleo's on our bag at time of delivery did not mention the missing items). My husband and I ordered takeout from here last night and what we received was delicious-luckily we had extra food at home so didn't go hungry from missing items. *Apologizing now because I forgot to take photos before, so only a pic of the leftover food* We got a kofta plate with double hummus and pita as a side. The actual kofta was a little on the dry side but seasoned/flavored well-you get 2 large pieces. You get a choice of two sides: hummus/pita or rice or salad. We chose double hummus/pita and it was awesome, so creamy and delicious. We also got an order of the labneh which was yummy, quite tart and creamy-doesn't come with pita so order extra!! We also added a side of the garlic sauce, which was delicious, because I love garlic! Very similar to the Trader Joe's version of garlic spread that I don't think they make anymore sadly. Overall we would definitely order again, though tentatively given that items were left out of our order. I would add that UberEats immediately refunded us for the missing items, but that was quite disa

Worse service and I'm you have no place to sit and eat. Regret coming here and the food is reheated so dry that it's hard to eat.

Came back here april 2022, still SO good. I love their rice and shawarma plate. Hummus is so good. I forgot it was open 24 hours and i love the guy working there, such a nice guy :) Its worth a stop.

Got here at like 1:30AM & saw they were open 24/7 Delicious late night food & the guy at the front desk was sweet & a jokester!! Photos don't do it justice. Very lemony & yummy would recommend.

Tiny but great for take away if you need some late night Mediterranean. We we're staying at the Roosevelt and it's late so we were not feeling room service. Hit it up and was happy with our order of Shwarma and hummus and salad and babaganoush. Yea was strong so perfect for cutting with ice. Very happy.

Don't go here. Place used to be solid. Now food is inedible and overpriced. I can't really emphasize how bad the food is. The service is terrible. But the food may make you sick. Such a shame.

Horrible experience here. My wife and I love trying new places in new cities, and we're shocked by how bad of an experience this was. We placed a chicken kabeb order and a side of french fries. We specifically ordered this because we only eat chicken breast for health reasons. This one order specifically said it was chicken breast chunks with two sides, so it was our obvious choice. We walk 13 minutes back to our hotel, and when we open the plate, we find the "chicken breast" chunks are all chicken thighs. Also, there was no white garlic sauce that the worker, Daisa, said she put in the bag. No problem, we will call and try to make this right; not a massive deal. We call back, and immediately Dasia gets super defensive. She claims that "chicken breast and thigh is the same thing," which, no, I'm sorry, is not the same. When we said the menu item specifically said it was breast meat, she said oh, we mix breast and thigh meat. Then we said there was no garlic sauce in the bag. She immediately said, "no, there is. just look in the bag and look all around. I'm positive I put it in the bag; I put it myself". When we repeatedly said there was no white garlic sauce, she got even more defensive and started saying we were lying and that she checked the footage (????). At this point, this was getting ridiculous and so immature that we asked for a refund. She then cut us off and openly admitted to being wrong and that she confused us for another customer. 90 seconds prior, she called us a liar, and we "held the bag wrong, and it must've fallen out." Overall ridiculous situation. She said she would remake the dish, but we had already walked 30 minutes back and forth and needed to head to the airport. She gave us a refund over the phone. To the restaurant owner: I hope you take this constructive feedback and do something about it. Calling your customers liars, giving food different from what's on the menu, and then fighting your customer on a $1.60 garlic sauce isn't the way to run your business. Having your staff yell at customers and getting THAT heated over the situation is an incredibly bad look. For $25.00 (chicken, rice, hummus, fries), you would hope for better quality service and food. I'm happy to further explain this situation to management if they're inclined to learn more.

Some of the most delicious tasting food i've ever had. I got the chicken kabob wrap and meat filled grape leaves. They were exploding with flavor. Nowhere to sit inside so get it to go... but man its amazing.

24/7, yes all day everyday you will have a vegan option in Nola. You also find various exotic snacks that are highly sought out after on TikTok. Good food, but a bit of product hoarding doesn't allow you to enjoy looking for snacks. The falafel wrap at midnight definitely hit the spot. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Wow. I had a good meal at Cleo's. Some good ole Mediterranean food. Every recommendation and compliment given by my fellow yelpers were right on point. As a result, I am not going into details. But I have to applaud Cleo's for their amazing lamb chops and hummus. Nicholas ordered it to go and I truly enjoyed it. The chops were seasoned, moist and tender. I ate the hummus like it was yogurt This is not an extravagant place. Order from the counter. In the heart of downtown so sometimes parking is a challenge so here comes Uber

When we arrived just realized its take out order only. Due to covid. Its 24 hours. Restaurant is inside a general store. While waiting we picked out some local snacks,check expiration date! wide varieties of drinks.

What an interesting lifesaver. When in NOLA, it's almost a requirement to eat and drink endlessly. However, on this trip I wasn't feeling so well and was seeking non-saucy/buttery fare. Did a quick Bourbon St. area search for Mediterranean food and Cleo's comes to the rescue. From the outside, and especially since it's on Canal, it gives off NYC bodega vibes complete with a window stocked full of candy and snacks. Once you enter, you quickly discover you're in for a treat. It goes from convenience store to fully operational and clean restaurant once you pass a few steps inside. There's even a server to take your order should you dine in or carry out. I have to admit...wasn't expecting that help. My order only took about 15 min and checkout was simple. I got the Chicken Shawarma with rice and a side salad and it was seasoned perfectly! Not only was it good but this place is open 24 hours! I know there are lots of choices in NOLA but if you're seeking something still flavorful but a little lighter, come here.

I ordered through Uber Eats, and had I actually been in the restaurant, I would have sent my plate back. This was the absolute worst salmon I've ever had in my entire life. It literally felt like beef jerky. It wasn't seared, it was burnt, dried out. I am absolutely upset because this is was a waste of money.

So in town for Beyoncé day and scooped late night places to eat after the concert. Came across this place due the the rack of lamb offer till 5am. So, not sure if it was because of the thousands of folks in town but the wait time was an hour. Service was considering the owner was checking folks out taking orders giving the drivers their pickup orders oh and taking phone orders all while occasionally having to kick riff raff out for being disrespectful. I understand so I say 4 stars. My disappointment comes with the food. We waited an hour then walked 15min back to the hotel only to get upstairs and unwind to open the chicken for 17.95 for three baby chicken wings and fries drenched in salt, to my rack of lamb being 3 pieces overly salted for 29.95. Now from the other reviews and photos I'm going to chuck it up to it be overwhelmingly crowd from all aspects and they were trying to keep up as best they could. Maybe next time I touch down in New Orleans I'll compare it again

Located on Canal street, while walking by one night i noticed it was open late i already had dinner, but i made a mental note because of the good smells that was coming out of this joint. A corner store basically serving up delicious food. The following day i dropped in and ordered a beef shawarma sandwich and some hummus. Both were outstanding, they didnt' skimp on the meat. The use rib eye and it was tender, juicy and delicious. Check them out if you want something different and delicious.

They food was great. The young ladies that work the front were so nice and polite and helpful. Looking at the place you will be pleasantly surprised at the food that is served at the place.

So, I'm in NOLA with the family for a wedding. Our flight landed after midnight so it was going on 1am when we were approaching hotel when I realized, "shit, I AM hungry" much to my boyfriend's displeasure. (He asked multiple times if I was hungry at airport in Charlotte, because we were arriving so late. Trying to mitigate the damage, I used my handy dandy Yelp app to find something vegetarian and healthy'ish that was served at a 24 hour spot. To my delight, I found Cleo's which was in walking distance from our hotel. This place looks grungy AF from the outside. I honestly wasn't certain that they were serving food here. It looked like a corner liquor store. There were boxes of beverages everywhere and every candy, chip and cigarettes you could ever want. To say I was uncertain would be an understatement. I ordered the fried egg plant wrap and awesome daughter got the lamb kebab wrap. OMG GTFOH WTF!!!!!!!!! I bow down. The wrap was like off the chain!!!!!!! Especially for 1 am. Like... it was hella good. This was Wednesday night in New Orleans. It is Friday. I went back TWICE yesterday. Mostly because of proximity but also cause the wraps SLAP. I tried the falafel one, also good... but no match for Mr. Fried Egg plant. So, GO GET YOU SOME FOOD!!!!

Overpriced, unauthentic junk food. Don't be swayed by the pictures. The actual food looks nothing like them. The lamb shawarma is tough and chewy. The labneh is rancid. The pita is cold and stale. The baklava is old and drizzled with chocolate syrup. Chocolate syrup on baklava? I guess they thought it would hide the lack of nuts and low quality dough. Save yourself time and money and get a cold sandwich from the gas station. As bad as it could be, it'll be better than this.

Average, no-frills Mediterranean take-out spot that's relatively expensive but stays open extremely late. However, it's 5 star when you're drunk & nothing else is open. ‍

$10 for 2 pack shin ramen, $13 for beef spam, $5 for Nutella candy bar. The guy have to call to get price. And the place was chaotic.

Grabbed chicken schwarma wrap to go Sunday evening. It was enough for two ( about $12 out the door) and delicious!

This convenience store has amazing food. It was opened late night and it was near to our hotel. We ordered the grilled wings and a beef shawarma wrap. It was very flavorful, well seasoned and looked good. We grabbed a couple soft drinks - it was a real tasty treat. Recommended for a quick flavorful meal if you're in the area.

Feb 15, 2022 BEWARE! Don't believe the pictures here. They are old. So are the reviews. This place is now a complete and total unsanitary dump. Besides that the chicken shawarma isn't even shawarma. I've been eating shawarma for 30 years. Wrong pita bread, wrong seasonings, not cooked correctly. I could go on but why bother. Avoid. You've been warned.
