We've been loyal Marriott customers for over 10 years. This is, by far, the friendliest Marriott we've ever stayed at. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The AC went lower than 65, too 😀 Every single employee had a smile and treated us with the highest amount of respect. Specifically, Gwen, in the M Club Lounge, went out of her way to make us feel right at home. This Marriott is the best!!!

Google
Very clean hotel and convenient location. Plenty of dining within walking distance or a short drive. I've stayed at this property for business travel a few times and have been extremely impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The lady in the M room is so sweet and attentive. She is always smiling and interacting with the guests.

Google
This is a wonderful hotel that may look unassuming and ordinary on the outside, but feels like a cozy home away from home once you step inside. From the front desk and restaurant staff to Gwen in the M Club Lounge and the housekeeping service crew, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Our four-night stay was perfect. Highly recommended! Visitor'sTip: The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is not too far from this hotel and has nice hiking trails. Brandywine Falls is definitely worth seeing from various vantage points accessible by stairs and walkways.

Google
Excellent service but there were 4 standouts during our 9 day stay. Lilly and Carleton were professional, efficient and helpful at the front desk. As well as Sam’s cheerful voice every time on the phone! Mae and LaTisha made breakfast welcoming and the food variety was tasty. And Porsche took great care with our rooms keeping them tidy and clean. Fast and efficient with a smile! 😊 ❤️ A nice gym is also available. The only negative was the computer room’s computers were glitchy. So I used my laptop. also highly recommend the Cleveland Lakefront park an easy 20 minute drive away on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

My husband was in town for a conference and we turned it into a weekend getaway. The location was perfect close to phenomenal shopping and everything we needed. Our room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. We enjoyed drinks in the RC lounge in the Marriott, lovely, relaxing spot. Overall a wonderful experience.

What a great place to stay!!! I booked two rooms with my mom and sister to celebrate our birthday's and I'm soooo happy I did. Prior to arrival I called to inquire about early check in and was greeted with an employee by the name of Ashley. Not only did she have availability for an early check in she also offered connecting rooms. Upon arrival she welcomed us with a warm smile, came from behind the desk to give us our keys and really went out of her way to acknowledge our birthdays. The rooms were clean and had a fresh smell, the restaurant offer great food which we enjoyed, and everyone was so nice and friendly. The service was impeccable, and Ashley deserves 10 stars ********** for being so nice. I look forward to seeing her upon our return.

Google
Was by far one of the best hotels we stayed at for hockey! The staff was extremely friendly and inviting. We stayed here with the hockey team while in town for a tournament. Upon check in all the kids received a Gatorade. This was a first! The breakfast was very good, one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had. And they gave the teams hospitality rooms to use at night complimentary!!! This was fantastic. Usually hotel guests complain about the hockey teams but the hotels want to change hundreds of dollars for a room to hangout in. I’d highly recommend this hotel because of all of the above and the beds were comfy, walking distance to stores and restaurants and a good central location!

Google
The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. I had the opportunity to visit the M Club, gym, and pool and was very pleased with the quality of the amenities. The lobby is spacious and the check-in process was seamless. The front desk staff were outstanding, very friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the overall condition of the property reflected great attention to detail. The hotel is conveniently located with numerous restaurants and a small shopping center within walking distance and many additional options just a short drive away. Its proximity to a major highway makes getting around simple and efficient. The property is about a 20 minute drive to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and roughly 25 minutes to downtown Cleveland. Additionally, there’s a hospital right across the street and several colleges nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.

Yelp
Nice place to stay. Read the reviews prior to starting and I'm not sure where some of the low marks come from. Nice, clean, spacious rooms - concierge lounge - large meeting/sitting area near lobby, front desk staff very helpful. Did not eat in hotel so I cannot comment on that. Would definitely stay here again.

Leana G.

Yelp
Solid gym, very friendly staff, and great snacks and breakfast set up in the M lounge if you have that access. It's close to pinecrest with a whole foods and nice restaurants. But also a decent restaurant in the hotel if you don't want to leave. I've been staying here for over two years since I started traveling to Cleveland for work and I love it.

Sana K.

Yelp
Great location!! Close to everything!! Great outdoor mall across the interstate. 15 min to downtown. Hospital across the st which is why we were here. Stayed on the 7th floor which is for the people visiting for the hospital. Not sure if these rooms are setup differently but could have used more drawer/dresser space. Nice lobby. Had a nice restaurant that we never visited. Gym and pool. Multiple doors to enter from

Rob R.

Yelp
I have stayed at this location in the past and will continue to stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are always positive and willing to help resolve any issues that may arise. The rooms have always been clean, beds and pillows soft, bathrooms are updated and the rooms are just comfortable over all. They restaurant on sit is very good, just expect to pay hotel pricing for the food. If it's not your cup of tea there are plenty of other places near and close to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and location.

Yelp
I didn't actually stay at the hotel, but was here for a post wedding party. Great hotel bar and very friendly. Even has arcade games! NFL Blitzzzz yessssss.

Jason M.

Yelp
I have no idea why the reviews are so low here... we stayed 3 nights for a hockey tournament and had a blast. The hotel is convenient (great location next to highways, plenty of food and shopping options nearby), and it was recently modernized with all the amenities. The bar, pool and workout facility were top notch. Our room was great, clean and modern with easy access to the parking lot. The hotel had a 10pm curfew and kept a good handle on the the noise, even with 100 kids in the hotel. Each team had their own conf room, which was great for teammates hanging out. I would gladly stay here anytime I was in the area

Yelp
Family vacation 2021...bringing the California variant of COVID-19 to your city. We stayed at the Cleveland Marriott East for two nights during our recent road trip. This Marriott is about 30 minutes away from downtown Cleveland. It is located in Warrensville Heights. They had recent renovations which my wife liked. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon. Check in was quick with Bradley assisting us. We were given a room on an upper floor with 2 queen beds as requested. The bathroom had a walk in shower. The room was nice and comfortable. It had plenty of space for our family of 3. This Marriott has a M-Club lounge for the Platinum and above members. They have plenty of drinks and snacks for us to choose from. However, with COVID safety protocols, no breakfast or evening appetizers were served in the M-Club. Breakfast was served for Platinum and above members at the River City Grille instead. Bradley was great in responding to our requests. He even was able to call up his friend at a L'Albatros, a local upscale trendy French restaurant, to set us up with reservations to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I still cannot thank Mr. Bradley enough for making the reservations for us. The Cleveland Marriott East was a delightful stay for us. The room was nice. It was one of the few Marriott's in the USA with a M Club lounge that was open during the pandemic. They had a manager in Bradley that went out of his way for us. It doesn't get much better than this.

Yelp
Bed Bugs !! I called to them after my stay and all they never asked if I was ok or followed up. All they wanted to know was why I didn't tell them at check out electronically ( I left early and did not interact with front desk. Very poor response

Yelp
Checked in time is 3:00. I pre-checked using the app and showed up at 3:30 yesterday to pickup my keys. Room is not ready. Ok. Hung out while they finished it up about a half hour or so. After I am physically in the room almost an hour, housekeeping walks in. We both look at each other. I laugh. She says she was just checking on the room before anyone arrived. Lol Next day I leave the room at 9:00 am and get back at 3:40 pm. Room hasn't been serviced. A little after 4:00 there's a knock on the door. It's housekeeping wanting to service the room. Wtf! Now mind you, full capacity, multiple events, I can totally see housekeeping being behind. This place was dead last night. Nowhere near capacity. The parking not was nowhere near full. And there's no safe in the room. Stupid. Courtyard across 271 is less expensive and a better experience. Won't be back to this location. #BonvoyTitaniumElite

Yelp
I stayed at the Cleveland Marriott East for four days during a recent trip to the Cleveland area. My room was very comfortable and clean. The AC worked very well and kept the room cool and comfortable. The Wifi was reasonably fast. And the hotel staff were outstanding - very friendly! The hotel has a small Starbucks kiosk in the lobby that is open until around noon or so each day. There is also a River City Grille in the hotel lobby - the hotel restaurant bar and lobby. Pretty good breakfasts here. The hotel lobby is very relaxing, there is a large water fountain - which is a bit noisy if you are working near it and taking a phone call. I'd definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again when in the area!

Yelp
First off, the hotel location is business/shopping setting so not much to expect in terms of views. The rooms are fairly standard size but clean. During my stays I've seen two sets of cleaning staff on my floor and they are all attentive. So the five stars result from comparison with many other locations in the overall landscape of hospitality business emerging from the pandemic. For Bonvoy members, business travelers, and those who booked concierge level rooms, this hotel delivered service that is almost back to what one can expect. The M-Club dynamic duo Kathy and Gwen provided solid breakfast service. Restaurant staffs were also friendly. There were many people staying in this hotel during my visits. It is good to be at a place where one can feel the business makes good effort to deliver normal service level.

Linda A.

Yelp
The room feels very clean and it is spacious. They have everything one could need and it's all organized. The view out the window isn't great (a freeway) but it is super quiet inside. The only time I felt slightly annoyed is when I asked for a glass of Chardonnay at their downstairs bar for my room and it was almost $20. I told them that is not A typical price for a large glass of (mediocre) wine and they said, "it's typical hotel wine bar costs." Really? It seemed way beyond what I have ever spent in a very fancy bar for wine.

Yelp
We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Cleveland Marriott East. After being to other hotels with horrible mattresses and less than enthusiastic staff, we decided to try this Marriott property for one night. Upon check in, Kayla at the front desk upgraded us to the concierge floor and told us that the hotel had been remodeled a year ago including NEW MATRESSES! The room was spacious with a nice view and comfortable bed. We decided to extend our stay 3 more nights on comfort alone. Our breakfasts were great at the River Grille at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our waitress Gwen--what a ball of energy! We found the entire staff friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Cindy F.

Yelp
Came here while in town visiting family. Stayed 3 nights. Got a fantastic rate on Hotwire. Checked in Sunday, had just reopened from renovations the previous Wednesday. Hotel looked brand new. Running on limited staff due to Covid, so no daily housekeeping, restaurant was closed (bar was open), so breakfast was grab and go. The Starbucks on site had limited offerings. Bummed pool was closed. But location is great, right off highway, and less than a mile from restaurants like Coopers Hawk, and a Whole Foods. Lobby/sitting area is enormous, and no one was using it.

Patrick H.

Yelp
We checked in at the Hotel as part of our family Rock and Roll Museum weekend. I know this is not exactly close to the Museum but it is just far enough way to make it easy to get to from PA. Also, it is near Cooper's Hawk Restaurant which is where we wanted to eat dinner. The hotel must be newly renovated. Everything was really nice and seemed brand new. It looked really beautiful all decorated up for Christmas. The kids went swimming. The pool is small but they had a blast hanging out in it. The kids also liked the M-club. Only thing that i noticed which seemed to be out of the ordinary was there seemed to be a lot of used glasses and plates sitting around in the club. I have stayed at a lot of Marriott's and there seemed to be more there than normal. The rooms were great, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. No complaints at all. I think you will like the hotel very much.

Yelp
Don't leave valuables!!!!!! My mom had appointments in Cleveland that she had to travel to across country to get to. She checked into this hotel for several nights. My brother joined her in an adjoining room to assist her. Upon him checking out, she left to have a Mother's Day breakfast. She returns to the room (my brother had checked out) and her travel purse is open on the floor with the change purse removed and her envelope of money had all Of the larger bills removed leaving only ones and the change purse was cleared out having no cash left. The adjoining door was open and hadn't been, but the door to her room was closed. She was robbed by likely the person who entered the room my brother had stayed in after he checked out. She went down to the desk to speak with them and they told her to make a police report. As she was older and alone she was afraid to do so knowing she would be there that night. She called me very worried and afraid. I told her to put a latch on and I'd find her a new hotel. I booked her at the Hilton. She checked out in the morning, the guy told her his back hurt and could not help her with her bag and she has a cane. Kudos to the one decent woman at the front desk who spoke very kindly to her and helped her find an Uber. Thank U so much for considering my mom, I appreciate you. The one star I have no choice but to put here is for you. I called and asked to speak to manager. Nobody called me. I then spoke to jerky condescending "Bradley" who said he was a manager. I don't believe he was, and if he was they should replace him with a person with an Ounce of compassion. I suggest the nice girl at the desk. Bradley said he had no "proof" like a jerk but they would cooperate with authorities. Oh and they charged my mom for her sleepless night on Mother's Day after being robbed while having breakfast. Do. Not. Stay. Here.!!!!! They treat older people terribly and someone steals.

Yelp
First- the hotel staff is beyond attentive and nice. In entire week I stayed here, I don't think I passed a staff member in the hall once that they didn't say hi or ask how I was doing. My room was nice big enough-- and nice having a couch. (Although there was a stain on the cushion. Probably time to replace it) The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was large. As a girl- I think they need better lighting. It is hard putting makeup on and knowing what it would look like in normal light. Also should have a fan in the bathroom. There was a refrigerator in the room and coffee. The bar/restaurant is nice if you don't feel like going out. Food is good- and decent selection. You're about 25 minutes from downtown Cleveland if you stay here. I would come again.

Samantha E.

Yelp
I tagged along on my husband's trip to Cleveland last week, and we ended up in this Marriott. His job and frequent travel has made him pickier than I am about hotels, but I didn't have any problems with this place. Check-in was easy, and the room was decent. The towels are lacking, as other reviews have noted, but the bathroom products are nice and the water pressure's respectable. The room seemed pretty clean. I got a latte at the downstairs Starbucks once, and while service was slow, my coffee was good. I wish I would have caught the bartender's name, because he was the best part, and had great recommendations for things to do in town. Parking was plentiful, and the location is convenient to a few restaurants and the freeway, if not the trendiest neighborhood-- it took me half an hour or so to get to spots like the West Side Market, Fremont and the zoo. The group drunkenly playing yard games outside the side door was a little off-putting, but they weren't disruptive, and overall the hotel was pretty quiet. WiFi isn't free unless you have a special business reservation or status with the Marriott chain. I'm sure there's more desirable locations in Cleveland, but if you're traveling to the east suburbs, it's not a bad choice.

Julia T.

Yelp
We stayed her for two nights. We were in town for a hockey tournament. This is the most accommodating hotel we've ever stayed at. Parent room and a mini stick room is such a nice thing to have for us. The service was above and beyond. Very clean room and pool area.

Kate C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to take my toddler to during winter, where outdoor playgrounds aren't appropriate. She needs lots of physical activities to sleep through the night. The staff here are very friendly. The set up is very safe and open for a toddler to roam around. There is a fountain in the lobby, which you do need to keep your child away from. Otherwise the carpet is thick, there are plenty room to roam about. It's better than any other hotel in the nearby areas for my purpose.

Laura B.

Yelp
Overall is a nice hotel that needs some attention to detail. Was very disappointed with the cleanliness of our suite. In the morning daylight I could see the layer of dust throughout the room and the mildewed jets on the Jacuzzi tub. Night before went to store to get bath salts. Did not soak too long because only one jet was working and was not able to get the water hot. Anyway, it was for the best as I later found the moldy jets. Yes, I brought the issues to management's attention.

Zachary K.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice hotel, with friendly staff, and walking distance to a number of restaurants. It has a pretty decent sized workout room with five treadmills, a handful of elliptical and bikes, two benchs for dumbbells up to 50s and fruit sitting out for post workout. They are in the middle of renovation and the new room I stayed in just finished remodeling as of 10/2.

Brittney D.

Yelp
Booked 2 rooms just to take a little break and let my kids go swimming to break up the monotony of winter here in Cleveland. But when we arrived the front desk employee, Tiffany, informed me that the pool was closed due to Covid. Well try breaking that news to a three and five-year-old who had their heart set on swimming. But after the tears well done, when we walked in Tiffany was kind enough to let the kids pick something from the little gift shop, and a breakfast voucher for us to eat the next morning. Tiffany was awesome. The rooms where great, CLEAN and updated. Would absolutely stay again

Tony T.

Yelp
I'm a platinum member and travel frequently; this hotel is average. I find the condition generally dirty and worn down. Staff are nice; member breakfast is standard

Abby D.

Yelp
This hotel is fantastic. They've helped with everything I've needed. When I was having a problem using one of the computers in the business center to print something, the front desk allowed me to use theirs. Then, one woman (who I believe is the manager) sent the document to herself so she could personally print it in her office to ensure I had no issues. The room service is also great and the food gets to you very quickly (:

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Freshly remodeled and SUPER nice inside. When I checked in I asked for a crib, highchair and bowl of Spaghetti for my daughter who was starving after a long drive into town. Boy did they delivery! Super nice and VERY happy to help me. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet for sleeping. Lots of places to eat and shop that you can walk to. What a great stop.

Matthew W.

Yelp
Marriott's are typically my hotel chain of choice, but this was not up to expectations. Being a Platinum Elite Member provides its perks and the profile I have built outlines my preferences for my stay (which I understand can't always be granted). Some preferences are fairly straight forward: higher level room, king sized bed, extra towel. In this particular reservation, my rate included breakfast. Upon check in, I was given a room on the first floor, with two double beds and the room was handicap access. In addition to those things, I had a landscape light that lights up the entire outside of the building directly outside of my window. And to top it off, the breakfast coupon was not given to me at check in. Once getting to my room, I immediately called the front desk to see if there were any other options available and was told there was not. So, on a Tuesday night, with the parking lot half filled, this particular Marriott was sold out of rooms? In the morning, I attempted to receive the breakfast coupon which resulted in two calls to the front desk and then having to go down there to show the rate and offer on my Marriott app. After a couple of minutes and a couple of employees, they finally gave me the coupon and said "we will do this as a courtesy to you but the breakfast buffet is not included with your rate". BTW ... my rate is called King bed with breakfast for two. I haven't lost all faith in Marriott, just this Marriott. I was excited to find it so close to an office that I'll be traveling to often. I'll just need to go to another hotel within their chain in the future.

Terri M.

Yelp
I am in the area for business 1 or 2 nights a week. I rarely stay at the same place just to have some variety. I am however now a regular guest at this Marriott. Why? Michael, who has mastered the craft of tending bar, has created an environment just like Cheers! He knows everyone's name, what they prefer to eat and drink, what they do for work and fun, who their favorite sports teams are, and where they are from and how often they travel to Cleveland. He is always smiling and eager to spoil his guests with excellent service. His choice in music always gets everyone singing! Michael attracts the perfect mix of regular locals, regular guests, and new visitors trying to join the fun. This place is my home on the road and has given me countless new friends and happy memories! Spending time here is a MUST when you are in town!

Katie H.

Yelp
I was in Cleveland on business for a total of 10 weeks and stayed at the Cleveland Marriott East for 8 of those weeks and it was AMAZING!! The only reason I didn't stay the last 2 weeks of my trip was because the hotel was sold out :( For the last 2 weeks of my trip I stayed at another Marriott property in the area but still came to the River City Grill (inside the Marriott Cleveland East) every night! Every SINGLE person from the front desk personnel to the maintenance people, housekeepers and bartenders work very hard to ensure that you have a world-class experience. They are kind and welcoming and ALWAYS remember your favorite drink (Michael )! I won't stay anywhere else when I am in Cleveland-it is the best experience I have ever had at a hotel!

Meredith D.

Yelp
This hotel sucked. Generally you can count on a Marriott to be relatively decent, but this one was a huge letdown. Things that sucked: 1) Towels so threadbare they literally had holes in them (see photo) 2) Curtains that wouldn't even shut all the way so that you were awakened to a bright room at the crack of dawn (see photo) 3) Concierge lounge was closed on the weekend 4) Internet was an additional $10 (eff you guys!) 5) Concierge lounge didn't have wifi 6) Overall "ick" feeling. It just seemed kinda dirty and dingy Things that were good: 1) Chick-fil-a is across the parking lot 2) See #1 Really, for a hotel in a freaking suburb of CLEVELAND, this place is ridiculously overpriced for what it delivers. I hate hotels that add on a bunch of extra fees, and this one definitely did.

A S.

Yelp
I'm sitting in the bed at the Cleveland Marriot East at 9:35 AM writing this post as my husband sleeps... We checked in last night and I went to take a shower and there is hair in the bath tub and on the floor of the bathroom...okay, I can deal with that! This morning, we were woken up to drilling and hammering above our room. I called the front desk around 15 mins ago and the lady says, "yes, nothing I can do construction 9-5". We just flew in from the west coast last night so it's really 6:00 AM for us. I'm not sure how my husband is still sleeping because it is so loud! We are staying here only because this was the suggested hotel for a wedding we are attending locally. However, if it wasn't for that - I'd check out immediately. When I booked the hotel, they never mentioned ANYTHING about construction!!! So if you are looking to sleep past 9:00 AM or take a nap in the middle of the day, don't count on it as you will be lulled to sleep by the sounds of hammering nails and drills!

Helen C.

Yelp
This Marriott has a problem at the front desk. This is the most upsetting experience I have ever had while checking into a hotel. To put that in perspective, I stay at hotels at least a couple of times per month. I stay at Marriott hotels whenever I can because in the past I have always been able to count on consistent and excellent experiences. However, the person at the front desk when checking in here is not consistent with the Marriott brand. She was so rude and confrontational I will be sure to never stay at this location again. I reserved a room for two nights (the 10th and 11th) knowing that we most likely won't be checking in until the middle of the night the first night or very early morning the next day (11th). I phoned twice so that they were aware we would be checking in very late. Both times I was told it wasn't an issue and I confirmed that my account was noted. When I arrived and checked in at about 6am, the person at the front desk told me in a very nasty tone, "it's a good thing my system hasn't switched over yet or else you would've had a problem". Really? I don't need to know about your system. I prepaid for my room and was told it wouldn't be a problem twice AND the system has not "switched over yet" (whatever that means) so why even begin to address me that way? It didn't stop there with her attitude and tone. Again, judging from my experience and other peoples reviews, this hotel has a problem at the front desk. Enough said.

Alex P.

Yelp
If you travel a lot, you know that hotels within any chain can be a bit of a hit or miss. This one was a major miss and i don't think it lives up to Marriott standards. Complaints: - Someone's hair all over the shower wall - Rooms are tiny - Rooms look very outdated - Concierge lounge is pathetic, hardly anything good for breakfast, no potatoes, no bacon, no smoked salmon. Just a continental breakfast. Positives: - Chick-fil-a is walking distance, so once you realize that the breakfast at concierge lounge is a joke, you can always hit that up

Jo G.

Yelp
I got a room that had been touched by the presence of a lube-handed bandit. Literally. I had stayed one full night before the light hit the wall next to the full-length mirror as I was leaving for dinner and illuminated two dripping, lubed-up handprints from some fun-loving guests before me. I alerted the staff who were apologetic, but also claimed the hotel was full. Not wanting to discover more lubey ghost-prints of past sexual escapades in my now tainted room, I began searching for another hotel but was told that I had been assigned another room. On the first floor. Here for work and not wanting to explain the whole lubey situation to Karen from HR about why I switched hotels, I kept the lower quality room assignment (you'd think I would get upgraded after seeing those giant PTSD inducing drip-prints mere inches from where I had slept) but 1st floor must have been all they had left. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - 2 stars because the housekeeping guy was hilarious and nice ("oh yes this is definitely from a guest"). EDIT: I came back to add to this review to say THERE IS A GIANT PUBE HAIR IN MY REPLACEMENT BED. I HAVE LOCATED A GIANT CURLY BLACK PUBE. This is not a drill. I have light red, long, straight hair (for context). ABORT ABORT. DOWN TO ONE STAR

Yelp
Our hockey team (along with 8 other hockey teams) were here for a tournament! This hotel went above and beyond! Always one step ahead of us - making sure the kids had places to play (out of the general way for other guests) they brought out a game truck to give Kids something to do between games they even had 2 Pepsi coolers filled with Gatorade and waters for our parched players! I can not say enough good things about this experience!!! Well done Marriott - you have proved yourself an amazing place to stay with the hockey teams as well as individually Nic Dilillo (assistant general manager) was always at the door welcoming us and helped me load our jeep! Talk about customer service!!!

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL THEY FINISH CONSTRUCTION. The hotel is beautiful, the updated rooms are lovely, and the staff is nice BUT...no one told us they would be doing construction every day from 8:45 a.m. until 6 p.m including all day on Thanksgiving and on Saturday. The drilling is loud. Its like magnifying a dentist drill by 1,000. The hammering gives you a headache and there is no where to escape from the noise if you want to rest during the day. I wish they had told us when we booked the reservation that this was going on. For sure we'd have stayed elsewhere. I'd like to try the hotel again once its peaceful but it sounds like the construction will be going on a LONG TIME....after the rooms are done, they'll be renovating the lobby and the restaurant.

Yelp
I travel here just about every week for business and it's a pretty decent hotel. I'm not a huge fan of the old school swirly carpets they've got going on but that's about all I can complain about. The staff is great, the bar is fun if Mike is bartending and the food at their restaurant is really good. Also they have their own Starbucks if you need your coffee in the morning like me!

Yelp
Above and beyond the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in. First, I started out in a room that had a horrible smell and the lady up front was incredibly helpful and quickly changed up my rooms. Next room; smell is slightly better but at this point it's 1:30 in the morning and I will settle for anything. At which point I noticed some sort of food stain on one of the beds...it was marinara looking. Then I noticed a sea of hair that was not my own. And I was just appalled. I called down to the front desk again; apologizing because I hate being "that" person and the woman was super apologetic and assured me that she would have the supervisor of house keeping come make sure the room was fully cleaned. So, I left this morning...skeptical but hopeful only to come back to a room that had BARELY BEEN TOUCHED! The iron and board were still out (maybe they don't put these up anymore so I'm not really super peeved about that) but the food stains remained which meant all the hair. And don't even get me started with the bathroom. That was the worst. Hair everywhere; I am 99.9% sure they didn't even turn on the shower to rinse it down. So I call downstairs and I am told the manager and housekeeping will be right up. 15 minutes later; no one. At which point I call the travel agency and move. They charged me for the night and, believe me, they are going to get a fight on that. I took pictures and everything is documented. I will never stay at this hotel again. If you have to check for bed bugs; just leave. That is my new rule. I genuinely felt the place was so unclean that I ACTUALLY checked for bed bugs. (To be clear...there were none) So I decide game over. Get checked out and go downstairs and the manager is on the phone. I asked to check out and said they probably already printed something (she was very nice and probably unaware of what was going on) and the manager stays on the phone and hastily hands her my paper and doesn't even look me in the eye! I mean, I just can't even imagine being a manager in hospitality and being unable to talk to someone because they are upset. Had he taken the time to talk to me despite already being checked out; I can assure I would not have reviewed this hotel as poorly. As someone who travels three weeks out of the month I am extremely disappointed. I had switched from hiltons to Marriotts at the suggestion of a friend. Looks like I may be going back.

Yelp
This hotel is simply ok. I was actually a little disappointed in our stay to be honest. Check in was a breeze, although we did it late at night. Service at the front desk was fast, friendly and efficient. The lobby decor is ok. Nothing super fancy but nothing terrible either. We were given a room on the "concierge" floor. I have no idea what that means and frankly I don't think our room was better than anyone else's. It seems like that title is simply a gimmick to make gold and platinum members feel like they are being taken care of. Rooms are in need of remodeling...or maybe they are just not decorated in my style. I dunno...the rooms seemed outdated. There was no safe, which was extremely disappointing. You can lock your things in a box at the front desk but they can't accommodate computers or purses. We had an incident where we had a dirty bed. The situation was immediately rectified by the manager and he was genuinely concerned about the issue. He fixed it and made sure that others were aware of the situation so it would not happen again to us or any other guest. I appreciated that. Fortunately we are gold members so we got fee wi-fi but there is a $9.95 charge if you are not. We were also given tickets to the breakfast buffet which was very good. Service in the dining room was great. Overall, I likely would not stay here again. It just was not that great.

Yelp
In-Short: The usual Marriott hotel, consistent service, nice concierge lounge, flexible workout room with treadmills, free weights and ellipticals. To add, a good selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Details: I was out here for a business trip. This was a mirror image of the Marriott hotel in Hartford, CT. Convenient free parking. Service was consistent. The workout facility was a fair size, to accommodate a number of treadmills, ellipticals, a cable type machine, and free weights. The concierge lounge was nice. There was a pool here, but I did not use it. There was a good selection of shops and restaurants close by such as Chipotle, Chick-Fil-A, and Office Depot. The wi-fi here was $9.95/24 hours, but free if you're a Marriott Gold or above. Overall, would come here again.

Yelp
No free intenet at a hotel of this caliber??? Now I know why I choose Hilton... I typically stay at Hilton Hotels when travelling for work as I like taking advantage of my Honors rewards. When I learned that a recent meeting I would be attending would be taking place at a Marriott I was a bit disappointed as I have been Hilton-spoiled. I decided to check in early and called to ask about their policy on early check in. I was told that even though it was still a bit early in the morning that I could still check and I was pleasantly surprised I didn't get any pushback on this. When I arrived a short time later I approached the check in desk and explained I was checking in early for my reservation for that night. The front desk clerk had either pulled an all nighter or just wasn't very bright as she kept asking me how my stay was and referring to my check out. I had to interrupt a few times and re-explain that I was checking in. When she finally realized she processed my form of payment and got me my keys, etc. I had made sure when placing my reservation they had my Marriott Rewards # on file as well. Even though I don't stay at Marriott properties often, I wanted to ensure I credited my account for future purposes. After she finished my check in, I proceeded to ask her where the meeting rooms for this hotel were as it was my first time here and I wasn't familiar with the property. I don't think she understood again what I was asking as she walked around to the front of the check in desk to point out where the elevators to the rooms were. Again, I had to clarify I was asking about the meeting/conference rooms, not my actual room. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and furnishings. As I tried to log in and work off my laptop, much to my dismay, I found out that there is only free wi-fi if you are a Gold Marriott Rewards member or above. I was shocked as Hilton properties don't put this stipulation on any of its guests, regardless of their Honors level. As it was a work visit I didn't give it much thought as it would be expensed, but had I been staying here for personal reasons, I would have been livid at having to pay $9.95 plus taxes/fees per day for Internet. Not that I don't have $10 to spare, but for the sheer principle. This wasn't a cheap hotel. The meeting facilities were spacious and accomodating. My company had managed to reserve every room for the various meetings and breakout sessions that were occurring. The quality of the food prepared by their banquet facilities was also pretty good for a mass production deal. Another issue I experienced was that two weeks after my stay, I noticed I had not been credited for my stay through the Marriott Rewards program. Odd I thought as they had the number upon reservation and check in. I had to submit my receipt to them again in order to have it credited to my account. My overall rating for this property was based mainly on the lack of customer service. I guess I am spoiled by how much Hilton values their guests, which really shouldn't be a feat given that you are a paying guest.

Yelp
We used this hotel for our wedding- we had a group of guests and a block of 20 rooms, including one for my husband and I to stay at for our wedding night. Check in was a nightmare- my parents waited two hours for their room, I was given a key and when I opened the door someone else was already in the bathroom!!! Since a larger reunion group was using the hotel the same weekend our group was easily dismissed and overlooked. Even completing the "satisfaction" survey at the conclusion of the weekend didn't warrant an apology or follow up from management. While I enjoy most Marriott hotels, I'll never use this facility again and will ensure our friends and family are aware of what they're getting into at this location.

Yelp
I have been staying in this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday and have been extremely disappointed. When we checked in we were not told about the ongoing renovations in the hotel. Two days, including Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a short nap, including Thanksgiving Day. Nothing but pounding and drilling the entire time. Then, also on Thanksgiving I called the front desk to tell them I was leaving for the day and the room needed to be cleaned. When I returned that night, the room was never cleaned and had to make arrangements late at night for towels. UGH! Then, we were told that the assistant general manager/manager would be in touch with us. Never contacted us. There are many hotels in this area. I would not choose this one!

Yelp
I really am a fan of Marriott and was hoping to give this location a higher rating, but to be honest - the best part of this place was the one staff member who went out of her way to help with directions to a nearby restaurant! My room was ok, but just ok and WAY the hell too expensive for what I got.Though they had plenty of little soaps and extras in the room - for the price - trust me - a massage would have been needed to make up for what it did NOT have! Every time I hit the 7th floor and got out of the elevator - I smelled a faint smell of sewer - thankfully I had a bit of extra cologne that I sprayed once in awhile - not sure what the hell it was from, but it was always a quick brisk walk from the elevator to my room. The concierge lounge was large, but I wasn't impressed with that either. The eggs were the worst I've had at any Marriott property - they ran out of bottles water and basically the free stuff you get there because you frequent so many Marriott properties is only good because it's free! I would not be paying for that for sure! The pool was warm and the fitness room slightly better then most though. However, the prices at the restaurant exceeded my company policy and though my steak was cooked perfectly - it still wasn't worth the very high price we paid. Additionally, the desert was just ok - my son made better apple crisp when he was 12 years old and again - not impressed. To be honest - I had started at a three for this place and now reflecting back - I'm dropping it to a 2! They really need to do more. It's not easy to get to if you are coming from the wrong direction as U turns are not allowed - forcing you to basically go through a maze - only to find very little parking spots close to an entrance where you want to enter! BTW - they have a hair problem it seems. Those reviews about finding hair are not false - I found long hair in my room in different areas too - a bit disgusting!

Yelp
The bartender at the Marriott hotel in Cleveland makes a great drink and has a photographic memory. The second night we came to the bar he remembered what all of us had the previous night. How is that possible? I don't even remember what I drank the previous night. On top of the great service he made one of the best Moscow Mules on the planet. Felt like I was in Russia! Just ask for Michael Smith the best bartender in Cleveland. Oh, almost forgot, order the sliders and pretzels they're fantastic!

Yelp
After a 4 hr redeye flight with no sleep I was looking forward to a quick checkin & a nice place to stay at. Well I found it here. This place offers: 1) Great quick customer service. 2) Team is very nice & pleasant. 3) Decor is very nice & is much better than the DoubleTree down the street. Which looks a bit run down. 4) The rooms are clean, updated & most importantly the beds are comfy.

Yelp
I travel frequently, and this hotel is just OK. The staff is fantastic; however, the rooms leave much to be desired. The front desk staff was warm, friendly, and efficient. My company had an event in one of the ballrooms and the banquet staff was friendly and very responsive. The food was great and was displayed nicely. My room just felt... dirty. There was someone else's hair on the bathroom floor, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, and perhaps the grossest of all, hand prints ALL OVER THE HEADBOARD. Ugh. I know other people have stayed in this room before me, have slept in the bed, and used the bathroom but I don't want to be reminded of that by visible evidence everywhere I look. No stirrers in the coffee area. String hanging from the dresser drawer. Duvet cover was too small for the duvet, so the duvet was sticking out of the sheet. Lack of attention to detail from housekeeping totally grossed me out. Since I was only staying the one night and was totally exhausted, I didn't say anything to management. If you are a Marriott "frequent flyer," try the Towneplace Suites down the street... much cleaner and free breakfast, wifi, etc.
